The 2024 NFFL Regular season has come to an end and in this episode there is a lot of giggling as we discuss:
We also talk through some of your conversation ideas for the future!
Bez is on a solo mission to discover the under the radar Games of the Week across the NFFL, as well as the obvious ones, of course!
Doing something new is always a challenge, so when we heard about the first music and sports festival in the UK to include flag football, we knew we had to talk to the creator of Flagapalooza, Benjamin Newham.
Over the course of the last 7 months the DMs have flown back and forth and this week we caught up with Mr Flagapalooza himself to hear just how it all began, what happened during the build up, the weekend itself and of course, some of the freshest news you'll get on what could happen in 2025.
Bez and Tree take a long look at the news from around the flag footballing landscape since out last show. On the agenda this week:
Two BAFA Gameweeks, Claddagh Bowl and a new BAFA CEO since we were on the air, so there's lots to talk about on this weeks big show.
There's World Championships and National Team chat with the ongoing fundraiser here and crucially, Bez talks through his recent blog post and some of his favourite responses at the time of recording.
Enjoy!
There's been flag football all over the continent these past few weeks and we are back to talk about it all.
From Prague Perfection and King Bowl Crowns to the goings on in every signle division of the BAFA National Flag Football League we have you covered.
If you make it to the very end there's also big news to break about one of the biggest tournements of the coming summer.
Enjoy!

Welcome back to the Big Show. We've been off the airwaves for a hot minute but we return to take on the big stories from around the HNC and beyond. We look forward to the UK Dukes tournament at Ravenscraig this weekend and how that could be our last chance of playing ball before Flagging New Year 2022. There's a look at the final weekend of BAFA WFFL action, Bez runs out of his words but eventually manages to share what happened, all the drama of the final week and then lock in the playoff teams and walk us through the format. There's also huge news about the live stream that will be broadcast from the event. There really is plenty to be excited about! Hello HNC this is Mumbai calling! Greg returns to the show and we learn about many new and interesting things. Things like, what has recently changed Greg's life for the better? Why are we happy for the Moray Distillers? Why is there something fishy about the World Games where flag football will make it's debut next year? Who is going to be in the Top 25 and why are we so excited about this weekends WFFL action as the Fillies and Pirates get back to work.
There's also unbelievable Sack Race hype.

The Mayor of Delhi & Tsar of Moscow remains abroad and despite his absence we take a look around some international news to begin this weeks show. Champions Bowl 2021 took place in Spain but the other big tournament was the Russian Flag Football National Championships and we couldn't let them slide under the radar.
Closer to home The Top 25 Players voting for 2021 is almost ready so Bez gives us a quick recap of what to expect from this years countdown but refuses to be drawn on who will take home the coveted Abigail Trophy this year.
Finally, we head on to the BAFA WFFL which visits Scotland this weekend and kicks off with the first ever Scottish Derby between the Grangemouth Fillies and East Kilbride Pirates. The guys take a look at those matchups, some key games elsewhere and that all important run down of the key statistical performances from week 1.

Hello Spotify! Bez is back and we are back on our largest platform. Greg has run away to avoid taking a ribbing but Tom gets some stuck early before we move on to a review of the Granite City Quaich hosted by the Aberdeen Oilcats and question why Scotland has so many great facilities. Then in the second half of the show East Kilbride Pirates Robyn and Heather join us to discuss the upcoming BAFA WFFL season. It’s been almost two years since the last women’s league and we get all the changes, who to watch out for, a look at week 1 and of course: how good is it that the finals are in Glasgow? Join us, it’s a goodie!

It’s a special time when we are joined by a guest and our first guest of the offseason is The People’s Commish of BAFA: Kyle Taylor. We chat about playing football for a whole season once again and Bez learns that there’s more to flag (allegedly) than the HNC. We lob some questions at Kyle regarding the future of the sport, little things that we can all do to grow the game and find out why he tried to rename the HNC. Take a trip down Results Avenue as we look at the final standings, crown a champion and talk about who surprised us most. Come have a giggle with us and maybe learn a thing or two!

Our clinching scenarios will tell you what each team needs to do to capture its own version of glory before we show you the individuals that could make it happen with a dive into this years statistics. The Guernsey report is a good one this week with the playoff seedings confirmed in DRAMATIC fashion, check out the Guernsey American Football Association page for more on that. Another huge week of action is in the books. We saw top of the table clashes, bottom of the table battles and some heroic performances in tough situations despite the fact that it was another week with only 8 games. Bez and Greg are back together and walk through the big storylines coming out of the weekend as Greg unleashes some puns fit for a King in the news. Did someone say post season tournament? We hit the end of the fantasy season hard and the Commissioner drops in a spot of mustard to make the final weekend interesting, you’ll find out exactly what the spice is at the same time as most of the fantasy players too! Lets not forget that there are some superb HNC based tournaments on the horizon too, here the details on them and who you should talk to for sign ups. Finally, despite Tom’s absence there’s still time for a joke in his honour. 🐟 🧀

The business end of the season is upon us and we are prepared for another cracking weekend in the HNC, we wander back through last weeks games and highlight huge performances and the need for a clothing exchange in week 5. We bring you the latest playoff positioning in The Way We Guernsey It and then Tom delivers a RUN THROUGH A WALL motivational speech for his fantasy team. Then as always, we take a look forward and run through all the weeks coming games and tell you who might win them. Last but not least, there is a joke.

Half the cocktail is missing but don’t worry, Bez and Tom are still here to go through the massive games from Week 3 of the BAFA season. There’s the usual weekly pools update, a live report from the Guernsey American Football Association and a dive into the fantasy football league. That’s all before the Stockbroker himself, Aaron Drummond tells you which horse to back over the second half in the season if you’re looking for value and uses a data driven approach “the Aaron Abacus,” to divine the future 🔮. After that it’s time for game picks with a higher number of split decisions than usual as Bez tries to make up ground. If you’re playing this weekend, good luck, stay healthy and feel positive!

Returning to the HNC there’s a fantasy football update, one manager takes a savaging and we highlight some superb performances in week 2. There’s end of season award chat and a question has been posed by a listener which we will endeavour to answer, it just might take a while.
The boys choose their games of the week for a deeper dive and follow it up by previewing every game and making their picks.
Finally, Tom tells a joke.

The guys are back in business to confuse Bez with their tangents and some excellent news updates from around the world. Greg With The News has an international flavour once again as we take a peak at Russian flag football and new rivalries forming before our eyes. We return closer to home a little with an update on everyone’s favourite island and the future of The Way We Guernsey It. The UK Dukes continue the success of the Royal Tour before we get down to business and call out our HNC Fantasy Football GMs for not paying attention. Then it’s on to the heart of the show and something that we have been waiting to bring you for over 400 days: part one of our BAFA HNC Season Preview. We spoke to all the teams in the conference and they’ve supplied us with some goals for the unique season that lies ahead, the crew go through them and use that as a starting point for what we can expect in 2021. It’s the week before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse. It’s our end of year special as we take a look back at what happened, and didn’t happen this year followed by a look to the future! Social media watch returns and highlights the athletes out there making gains while a new team makes their first appearance on the podcast with a new logo and gear. It’s then on to Winter League and a preview of the upcoming matchups, the statistical leaders and who we think will take home the Most Valuable Player award.
