Host Lisa Council welcomes her beloved niece, DeMetria Lynia White, Educator and Advocate for Domestic Violence Victims and Survivors. At the age of 8, DeMetria experienced the traumatic experience of losing her mother to domestic violence and being sexually assaulted by her mother’s killer. In her free time, she uses her story to help young girls and young adults navigate their stories and to find their voice.
