SHOW NOTES:
INTRO:
Hello and Welcome to my channel Good News. Its Friday, June 5, 2020, I am Aarav Mahajan. Today on this episode we will talk about corona-virus. The Covid 19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedent scenario which neither me nor anybody I know has ever experienced. Never has the world gone in a total shut down mode not even during the great wars. Moving further we will now discuss about the current situation of Rajasthan, the Extent of spreading of corona-virus, its Climatic Condition and the Situation of the people in Lock-down.
Segment 1: The extent of spreading of coronavirus in Rajasthan
The first case of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Indian state of Rajasthan was reported on 2 March 2020 in Jaipur. The Rajasthan Health Department has confirmed a total of 9,373 cases, including 203 deaths and 6,435 recoveries as of 2 June. All districts in the state have reported confirmed cases of which, Jaipur is the worst-affected.
Segment 2: Climatic Conditions
There has been speculation about the connection between COVID-19 and higher temperatures. There is a link between weather factors such as temperature and humidity on the spread of the CoVID-19 pandemic according to experts but they are still unsure about the exact impact.
The meteorological department has warned of storms and rains with thunderstorms in many districts of the state till June 5. There is also a sign of heavy rains in many areas of the state after 15 June. South west monsoon is likely to be active in the entire state by 10 – 15 July. The effect of heat will be slightly less this year.
Segment 3: Situation of the people in Lock-down
Corona-virus has affected day to day life. This pandemic has affected thousands of peoples. The emphasis is on taking extensive precautions like extensive hygiene protocol (e.g., regularly washing of hands, avoidance of face to face interaction etc.), social distancing and wearing of masks etc. There are restrictions of movement from different zones. This pandemic has affected the social, economic and healthcare sectors. This has also affected the sources of supply and effects the global economy. It is easy to announce a lock-down which stops everything, but it is a bigger challenge to end it and bring the life back on rails. The lock-down should be relaxed in a phased manner with an aim of security and safety for all.
OUTRO:
