We have the pleasure of hosting a special guest, Thea Storm. Thea will be talking to our group about boundaries. As many of us know, it can be hard to have boundaries regarding our time, our services, the prices we charge, the money we collect, etc. Thea has many years experience as a professional alternative healthcare provider and will be sharing with us some guidance for creating our own boundaries with respect to the work we do and even for our personal lives!
At this month's meeting we will be discussing: Kathleen update - she will be sharing about her presentations at Omega and her largest Level 3 yet at Catskills Animal Sanctuary! Posting classes - how to get your class on the website and our FB page Book Reviews - Why they are important and how you can help Introduction to AR Presentation and Form - where to find in the member area Evaluations for classes - we will be trying a new format on Survey Monkey for your students to use We need your donation data! We will be gathering information to create accurate donation totals that SARA members make, we'd like to find out what you donated back in 2017.
We will be discussing our new Introduction to Animal Reiki course, our upcoming t-shirt fundraiser, our new Ethics Committee and their role in SARA and our SARA proprietary materials that we have provided for your use.
At this meeting we will be discussing CARE, World Animal Reiki Day and the 21 Day Meditation. It was a huge success!!

On this call we talk about SARA's mission, projects, what it means to be a member and membership benefits. We also discuss Remus and their Reiki program and how members can do the same in their shelter
In this meeting we will discuss ways to have a successful animal Reiki share and how to include staff and volunteers who do not have any Reiki experience. Also, ways to get the most out of the Community FB page. Members will share their successes and challenges.
The next SARA member meeting is tomorrow, July 18, 2017 at 6pm PT. This will be a meeting everyone will want to attend as we will be talking all about bringing animal Reiki to shelters and how to sustain the program. Bringing animal Reiki to a shelter can be intimidating and sometimes a bit overwhelming. We are going to be sharing tips and techniques for approaching the shelter and sustaining a strong program. Many of you are already in shelters so at the 6:30pm point we will be opening it up to discussion and would love to hear from you about what you are doing. We are also going to talk about sharing the materials you take from our website and Kathleen's manuals.
In this meeting we discuss past successes and future plans for 2017 for SARA including classes, the retreat and WARD.
Topic: "Kindness and Compassion First" - the SARA Way. In this meeting we will also talk about the t-shirt fundraiser and the SARA Retreat as well as the upcoming CARE class.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 14th at 6pm PT/9pm ET and the subject will be Classes! Many of our practitioners are now teaching the 5 Powerful Meditations class so we thought this would be a good time to discuss teaching the SARA way, what manuals are available to teachers and to practitioners, and to address any issues/concerns or suggestions by our members. We also want to remind everyone to share your class photos on our SARA FB page. The easiest way to do this is by creating a post on our page with your photos and some info on the class. We can then allow the posting and share it with everyone. We also encourage you to share your photos on the SARA FB Community page but please know we are unable to share any photos and postings to our main page from there as it is a private group.
The subject of the call will be the recent scholarship opportunities, possible upcoming scholarship opportunities, new merchandise on Zazzle - yay!!, translation of our 5 Meditation Book and Kathleen's upcoming trip to Michigan! We will also be saving time for Q&A at the end for those of you who want to share any news.
Hi Everyone! The next SARA meeting will be Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET. We will be discussing our new scholarship fund for Level 2 and higher students of need who would like to take a Level 3 class at Brighthaven, World Animal Reiki Day - your successes and experiences - our trip to CARE, and the planning of the retreat for 2017 or 2018. Tuesday, January 12, 2016, SARA will host a member meeting to discuss the upcoming World Animal Day. Discussion will include promoting, live events and what members can do to memorialize the day.
Kathleen will go over the outline for the new 5 Powerful Meditations to Help Heal Your Animals class and will be giving tips and guidelines to members for teaching this wonderful new course.
