Hey gang! After the overwhelming response on our Facebook page (all 9 of you!), we are making plans to return to the podcast ON A WEEKLY BASIS once again! Not sure of all the deets as of yet but stay tuned because it shouldn’t be too long before we get the audio podcast back up and running. As for the video end…well…with Google pulling the plug on Hangouts we’re not sure if we’ll find a suitable replacement in time for launch but we’ll work on that in the meantime. Stay tuned!
Even though it's the second attempt at a podcast from the NPM 41 Convention in Baltimore (thanks Linda & Steve for the valiant first try), we did manage to get something together for your listening pleasure. As always, enjoy...and thanks for encouraging us to give it a go!

Greetings and salutations, friend! On this month's installment of Monday Morning Catholic Monthly, your host and moderator tries to corral all three men from the panel and, as you can guess, she definitely had her hands full! It was great to have Jason and Steve K recall their many adventures but we did manage to get to the topics of the month: changes (again!) to the Roman Missal, low expectation Catholicism and -- gasp! -- hijacked homilies! Grab a cold one and settle down on a shady hammock for this very entertaining episode. As always...ENJOY!
Well, this month's installment has our intrepid panel wondering "could it be...SATAN?" Between Google Hangouts dropping the call and Nancy's microphone problems it's a wonder Joanne could cobble the entire thing together and put out a decent episode. We're just thankful there is no video component right now to worry about as well.
Anyway, this month Steve joined the ladies as they discussed homilies for Pentecost, Trinity Sunday and the Body & Blood of Christ, vestment fashion shows, resorted order and iPhones in ministry. You'll need to listen extra hard for Nancy's insights but they are worth it. Maybe we should take up a "second collection" to get her a new mic? ;)

WE'RE BAAAAAAAACK!
We know...we never really said goodbye and that that's good thing. Your host and moderator, Joanne, has rebooted and restarted the podcast after a much needed hiatus and we think this is a format we can not only work with but build on. We're going MONTHLY (first Monday of every month) and AUDIO ONLY (for the foreseeable future) so we hope all of you can once again grab a cup of your favorite beverage and join us every month for some Catholic chat.
This month, the girls (Joanne, Nancy and Linda) reacquaint themselves with the audience, reveal the new podcast format and discuss celiac disease and how it affects receiving communion. It's a bit of a rough ride (that's pretty normal for us) but a good discussion nonetheless.

Now that most of the gang is back from wherever they've been, they wanted to put their collective two cents into the subject of the new Order of Celebrating Marriage. So, Joanne is happy to oblige with a second round of Wedding talk, along with bantering about other topics like Catholics in Film, a new local radio offering and even a homily for the 22 Sunday in Ordinary Time from friend-of-the-podcast the Concord Pastor. Well, truth be told, Joanne used to be one many moons ago but this episode's title reflects the fact that our host and moderator had to fly SOLO on this podcast installment while the others were on vacation. So our ever intrepid liturgist forged ahead to explain the changes to what is now being called the Order of Celebrating Matrimony and still found time to report some survey results, discuss women deacons AND share a homily for the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Not bad for someone who always worries about crashing and burning when flying solo. Joanne was flying solo this week on the podcast...and right into trouble, it seems. She accidently left a song playing too long at the beginning of the episode that apparently went beyond the fair usage requirements of YouTube (oops!). So, she pulled the video (sorry) and edited the audio so as not to cause any further problems. Can't leave the girl to her own devices.
Anyway, she managed to talk about a great homily she heard this weekend, as well as problems with the Divine Office App, the murder of Fr. Rene Robert (VOTP choice this week) and, naturally, the sudden unexpected death of the Artist (she couldn't resist and has a very interesting story about their connection). Joanne here...Sorry, folks, but after working on this post for 2 hours I accidentally closed the browser (I was trying to close Garageband) and lost the ENTIRE ENTRY!! Since I don't have the time or patience to reproduce the work, I'm just posting the files this week and moving on. I'm sorry if this seems childish or unprofessional but sometimes when these things happen and you don't have anymore time to devote to it you just have to cut your losses on move on. Linda and Joanne return to MMC after a 3 week hiatus and with LOTS of feedback, a couple of VOICE OF THE PEOPLE topics and, of course, the weekly homilies they are NOT at a loss for things to talk about. Well, it took us an extra week to make this happen but -- TADA! -- it's finally here! The 100th installment of the Monday Morning Catholic Podcast is ready for YOU...well, sort of. You see, the crew was so chatty we talked for almost TWO HOURS and since we wanted to be mindful of our community's shorter attention span during the Christmas holidays, we decided to "divide and conquer" by splitting the show in half and releasing it over 2 weeks. This also gives the crew some well deserved time off so it works out for everyone! We hope you enjoy the "Podaversary" and we thank you once again for listening/watching our little contribution to the New Evangelization.

Hello all,
due to an emergency in Joanne's family, we are going to push back the posting of MMC Episode 100 until next Monday, December 21st. Since it came out to be just under TWO HOURS in length, we will also SPILT the podcast into two installments that will post on 12/21 & 12/28. This should give Joanne some needed time with her family and the rest of the gang some time to get some well deserved rest after their busy Christmas weekends. It was really a special treat for us and we hope you find his insights enjoyable and entertaining. Joanne does get a chance to also talk about the weekend's homilies as well as waxing liturgical about her Sunday morning experience (which she could do since the other were away!). It was a real treat to see Pope Francis on national TV last Friday night but, as usual, that wasn't the whole story. Some great stuff got edited out so if you're interested in viewing the town hall in its entirety then follow this link. You won't be disappointed.
It was crazy, it was early and it was LIVE! Joanne, Steve and Linda were able to get together on a rare Monday Morning and were inspired enough (or insane enough) to live stream it at the ungodly hour of 8:30am! (remember, we are musicians or musicians at heart - that's EARLY!) Come along for the ride and, to be truthful, it really was no different than our regular Sunday afternoon recorded episodes. Periscope is that new video sharing app on Twitter we spoke of that allows you to make your own live streaming recordings and then have them available for your followers (or anyone else) for 24 hours. Folks get a notification when you go live, they can send you hearts (which I haven't yet figured out their significance) and ask you questions you can answer on the air. For iOS users It's primarily an iPhone app (it gets a little wonky on iPad) and it is now available for those folks who still think Androids are cool (why???) Go check it out for yourself - it CAN be addicting!
Collectively, the bishops in the United States do have something to say about Music at Funerals but our friend "the Bish" wanted us to point out that for anything else specific to the Funeral Liturgy it would be helpful to consult the local Bishop. A quick Google search will also pull up many guidelines for American dioceses - maybe even yours! You can start there to get a clearer understanding.
The Chatty Twosome was at it again this week, sidestepping many a heresy while discussing the triptych of Trinity Sunday homilies they presented this week. While the ladies let Donall and Conall's encounter with St. Patrick do all the trinitarian "heavy lifting" they did get to talk about messy Masses, the iPhone text bug and a special hymn festival that will bring the gals back tonight (6/1) for a special hangout (keep tabs on our Facebook page for more details). While some of these compositions for Gathering, Intercessions and Communion Rites need and should be retrofitted to the Roman Missal 3 translation, they are still very useful and a viable option for parishes who have the musical and liturgical sensibilities to put them to good use. Given the fact that we won't be producing a regular weekly podcast next week, and due to the fact that I will be stuck in my home for a least 48 hours I thought I'd put the time to good use and show you a good old fashioned New England Blizzard as it happens. I'll also be waiting out this storm in hopes of leaving sometime on Wednesday to attend the installation of my friend Bishop Chris Coyne (aka "The Bish") as the 10th Bishop of Burlington, VT. Hopefully it will be fun for you and keep me from going crazy at the same time. ;)
With any luck and LOTS of prayer I hope to chronicle in person all the goings on surrounding Bishop Chris' installation. I'll compile whatever I film or record into one or two segments and post them over the weekend. The weather forecasts are calling for more snow this Friday both at home and in Vermont so that's why my travel plans are on hold. I'm all in as long as God and the weather cooperate but I will be disappointed if I can't make the trip.
However, in the event I don't make it to Burlington this week I am seriously considering, as long as my power does not get knocked out, holding two Google+ Hangouts around the installation rituals. The first would be Wednesday night beginning at 6:30pm to watch and explain the ritual of the taking of the Cathedral by the new Bishop and then again on Thursday beginning at 1:30pm for the actual Installation Mass. I'll keep everyone informed here and on our Facebook page and if you're stuck like me you might just enjoy a little liturgical diversion.
Stay tuned - this is gonna be interesting - and stay safe if you're in the path of this mess! Ciao for now!
The whole panel is back again this week as they await a "potentially historic snowfall" and Joanne worries that the weather will cancel her plans to attend the installation of the new Bishop of Burlington, Vermont. Such first world problems for our intrepid group! They do get around to discussing the homilies of the week, however, along with all sorts of liturgical angst, whether or not they should consider a spin-off podcast show and sharing a little autotune from Pope Francis' visit to the Philippines. Well, it was a long Advent/Christmas season without the only male panelist but this week Steve Romano returns to the podcast ready and raring to mix it up with the ladies (and we're VERY glad he's back!). After a little catch up to find out what Steve had been doing all these weeks, the panel settles down - sort of - to listen to their very first voice feedback that we've been allowed to play for you all (thanks, Tiffany!). Then, we get to discussing being called to "come and see," checking out the Pope's trip to the Philippines and hearing about a Mass slip up that happened to our own Linda.
