We are living in a day and age where there is very real pressure to vote as a bloc. The "my way or the highway" aspect of politics and political leanings has made its way to the personal level. If you're a Christian, there is a lot of pressure to vote a specific party according to very specific issues.
But are those issues really the end-all, be-all of the Christian platform? Is there no room to emphasize other issues? How did these issues even become the Evangelical platform in the first place? The answer might surprise you. After all, there's no way we should second-guess the motives of a group that literally has the word "moral" in their name, right?
In this episode I put off my plans for episode 2 in order to address recent events in a personal way. I open my heart up and shine a light on the dark parts inside. I inspect many of the ways that I could have confronted racism, but didn't. My hope is that by turning the spotlight on me, that maybe you will see some ways in which you can be doing better as well.
