As the world descends into chaos, there is only one true constant: Gaming podcasts.
Catch up with your illustrious hosts as we talk to you about our lives under lockdown before, wouldn't you know it, It's Time To Play The Game!
As we've been out of the loop for a few weeks we talk about E3's cancellation, the PS5's technical presentation, The Last Of Us TV series, Final Fantasy VII stock worries, Horizon: Zero Dawn coming to PC, and lots more news besides! Plus some delightful music from one of the best video game soundtracks of recent years.
Then in What Have We Been Playing we're talking Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Borderlands 3.
We hope we can help distract you from the outside world, if only for a little while. Stay safe out there, everyone.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Okay let's get this out of the way: We talk about this year's BAFTA nominees in the News for far too long! I couldn't help it, I see a list and I get carried away!
As for the rest of the episode, expect to hear about how Coronavirus is affecting Chinese app sales; Borderlands 3 coming to Steam; Riot Games' new first person shooter Valorant; a new Samurai Jack game, and more!
We also talk about Ape Out, A Way Out, and Grand Theft Auto Online in What Have We Been Playing.
All of this, plus Dave returns Gareth's 20 Questions challenge; we've got video game music for you; and a whole host of other topics, ramblings, and surprises!
Enjoy!

We also have video game music for you, a new segment, and then we wrap up by talking about Dead Cells and My Friend Pedro!

The Gamecentral Podcast returns with another episode worth of gaming talk, life talk, and well, talk for the sake of talk.
Blizzard's run of terrible PR continues; Nintendo are selling Switches faster than one of their most beloved consoles; and Final Fantasy VII's non-PS4 release date gets a swift kick in the balls.
And then, after the excitement of the News we've also got some music for you before we get to our feature, which is...
Half Life 2!
A game which is renowned the world over, but which Dave has never played! Will the game meet the hype, or flounder under the pressure? Find out in this week's feature!
Also, don't be alarmed at the unusual static that pops up at the start of the Half Life 2 section, it goes away before too long. Though now I think about it, something about it seemed... Oddly familiar...

We did it! We reached 150 episodes!
It took us longer than we expected to get here but the journey's not even close to over, so thank you for joining us, no matter which leg of the journey you hopped on.
This episode we cover what may be the most dry news week in recent memory, to the best of our ability; before giving away the trade secrets of the podcasting game. We'll tell you what programs and equipment we use to create the podcast itself, and the various other necessary expenditures of time and effort that go into creating our humble little corner of the video game podcasting world.
If you've ever listened to even 1 second of a single episode of the podcast, then we owe you an enormous thank you.
Thank you! And here's to 150 more!

This podcast's description text has been delayed until Q3 2021.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Two podcasts in two weeks?! So far so good!
On this weeks episode we're attempting (and failing) to slim things down, so we've got 3 news stories; a little feature about movies; and 1 game that we've been playing each. We even find time to squeeze in some video game music!
In News we're talking about the PS5 logo, the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Direct, and the Final Fantasy VII Remake getting delayed. In our Feature we discuss the concept of day-one patches for movies, just like the new Cats movie has done. And finally in What Have We Been Playing we talk about Borderlands 3's DLC and MediEvil.
2020 is off to an encouraging start!
(...If you ignore the upcoming World War and literal countries on fire)

Welcome to a new year, a new decade, and a new episode of the Gamecentral Podcast!
On this episode we're looking back at the year that was 2019, the decade that was the 2010s, and the fertile ground that is 2020.
We start off by going over the games that made an impression on us over the past 12 months, whether a positive one or a negative one; then we're discussing the decade as a whole and hand picking a batch of games that we consider some of the best of all time, all of which were released between 2010 and 2020; before finally looking towards the far flung future of the year two thousand and twenty.
Will we get a quality crop of games this year? And what are we looking forward to in the months to come? The only way to know is to listen to episode 147 of the Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Hi! We're here for another chat, and to fill you in on what us regular Joes have been playing and doing these past few weeks.
Expect talk about Monster Hunter World, Oxenfree, Resident Evil 4, God of War, Autochess, and... Quentin Tarantino?
Plus video game music for you to enjoy, and all the usual random-spew-of-consciousness bullshit that you've come to expect.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's been a while since we had a regular episode of the podcast, and so we're having a catch up!
This episode is basically just the three of us having a chat about whatever comes to mind! We go into the games that have been occupying our time the most these past few months without a podcast episode. Titles like Days Gone, Void Bastards, God of War, For the King, Monster Hunter World, weird and inappropriately creepy games aimed at kids, and Metal Gear Solid V.
We also discuss Hideo Kojima in general and whether he's a genius or a snake oil salesman, and the effect that CGI is having on movies, whether positive or negative.
Hopefully you enjoy this episode, guys!

In the News this week we talk about Death Stranding's incredibly weird collector's edition; the (2020 Oscar™ Award Winning) Sonic The Hedgehog movie getting tragically pushed back to Valentine's Day; the latest in the way of upcoming Pokemon titles; and as always much, much more!

Is an over dedication to realism ruining games? That's one of the topics up for discussion on this weeks show, citing Fallout 76 and Red Dead Redemption 2 as primary examples.
We also talk about our Christmas and New Year, and what gaming goodies we were given by our loved ones... or Santa Clause, depending on your religious views.
We also have the latest news for you, including the Epic Store's gradual rise in power, new VR developments, and a certain time limited demo for a certain scary-as-fuck game.

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Joyous Tuesday!

We've also got the usual music segment for you, and a brand new segment starting this week!
But the main event is a dicussion about Red Dead Redemption 2. Words will be said, voices will be raised, and Rockstar's latest release will be argued about. Is it good, or is it utter garbage? Let's find out together!

It's back! The The Gamecentral Podcast! The most hipster podcast on the internet! "Oh, what podcast do I listen to? You've probably never heard of it. They only put out one episode every 3 months and it's 2 hours of barely coherent, utter crap when they do. It's fabulous."
This episode we go deep in our review of Fallout 76. You might even say TOO deep. We also review Hitman 2... Though thankfully that review is quite a bit shallower.
We also have news on the Playstation mini, Sony pulling out (of E3), Detective Pikachu, and much more news for you! Plus some other stuff that we're... Erm... Still working out the kinks on.
A new generation of the podcast? Or a podcast that's exactly the same as it used to be? The answer to both questions is, somehow, yes.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Marvel at this monumental episode of the podcast as we finally release an episode that coincides with a new release! Yes, Rob can barely contain his excitement this episode because he's played the new Spiderman for PS4, and you can bet you'll hear a good deal about it coming out of his mandibles! You could say he's got spiders on the brain, and not the kind that killed my great, great, great grandad in 1894.
The best podcast on the web also has some sexy news for you, like Nintendo's latest Direct coming at you in semi-list form; Henry Cavill's newest role as [insert results of google search for "that main twat from The Witcher" here] in Netflix's The Witcher TV series; a new holder to the rights to beloved franchise gaming Timesplitters may mean remakes or new entries in the series; and some news stories specially chosen by Rob that may or may not need fact checking.
Then we finish up with more discussiion about Spiderman, as well as some Dead Cells, Prison Architect, Dying Light and more before you swing away onto the next podcast in your queue!
Signed, your friendly neighbourhood podcast hosts

It's been a while, but your patience has been rewarded! With another 2 hours of Gamecentral Podcast!
We may have had a break, but so have video games! So forgive our sparse news segment, we'll make it up to you though, because we've got an Ellery Ip and a 3-song music segment!
We also have a special feature in which we discuss the practicality and necessity of 4K, in gaming or otherwise. Is it affordable enough? Is the technology impressive enough? Is it worth it? We'll try to answer these questions and more.
Then in 'Time To Play The Game' we're talking Monster Hunter World, Red Faction ReMARStered Edition and No Mans Sky!
The British heatwave's almost over, but don't worry, the podcast isn't! We love you all too much.

We've got news for you about some video game movies in the works, Red Dead Redemption 2's release getting pushed back, Donald Trump's blaming of violence on video games and more on top of that.
We've also got your usual dose of Ellery Ip, some great video game music and plenty of talk about things that aren't video games. We end the podcast with talk of Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, Dragonball FighterZ, Fifa, Civilization VI and more in "What Have We Been Playing?!"
Here's hoping you enjoy this episode of the podcast and tell all your coworkers, elderly family members and strangers in the street to have a cheeky listen themselves!

Then in 'What Have We Been Playing' we mostly talk to Dave about the Xbox One version of Player Unknown's Battlegrounds and see if the magic of the game still holds up or is the shine is off the apple for Xbox gamers? All of that and, ofcourse, much more besides.
Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to another episode of the most long-running podcast in the history of the world! (Please don't fact check that...)
This week we're looking back at the entirety of the year that was 2017 and talking at length about the Switch, Virtual Reality, and some of the amazing games that came out these past 12 months. We're discussing Robo Recall, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Aven Colony, Mario Odyssey, Fifa 2018, NHL 2018, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Destiny 2 and more!
Hope you enjoy this slightly more freestyle episode, and you'll be hearing a lot more from us in 2018.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Happy New Year listeners! We hope you had a great holiday, and a responsible New Year, and you're now mentally prepared to hear the intellectual heights of the Gamecentral Podcast.
We've got news for you, we've got music, we've got expired deals and we've got lists of games we played in 2017, both long and short.
If that sounds like a short description that's because it's New Years Day and you don't want to read a long blurb about the podcast, you just want to put your head back and absorb the dulcet tones of our elite video game luminaries... and Dave is also there.
Happy 2018!

In a break from our regularly scheduled programming... Or rather, in a break from our programming, We bring you a review of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
It is I, Gareth. Come hear me turn on a microphone with no script and no plan, but a lot of thoughts about the newest film in the Star Wars franchise.
There will be thoughts and opinions for those still waiting to see the film, and a full-blown spoiler section for all of you who have seen it already. But did I (a lifelong Star Wars fan) enjoy the film? You'll just have to listen to find out!
If you agree (or disagree?!?) with my thoughts come find me on Twitter @GameBanter and let's talk Star Wars!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Happy 125th episode! We're back after an embarrassingly long hiatus with more of your favourite segments, more of your favourite "bants", and more Ellerys than ever before!
We've not been around for a while so we try our best to bring you up to speed on the last 6 weeks in gaming the only way we know how: By talking about vaginas. Paris Games Week, Xbox One X, Red Dead Redemption 2 trailers and so much more has been and gone and we'll let you know what we thought about it.
There's also the mainstays of your Ellery Ip and Music Segments, along with a surprise segment as it's a somewhat special occasion.
Then we finish off by talking about what everyone's been playing, including Super Mario Odyssey, Destiny 2, and Rob's honeymoon in LA.
Congratulations to us for reaching another milestone, and congratulations to you for reading this entire podcast description! You're the real MVP.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
If you're interested in nipples, football and Sundays, then you have no choice but to listen to this week's episode of the Gamecentral Podcast!
We're a Don down, but we're making do with what we've got by inserting some Ellery-Ip into you, then, if there's any room left in there we wouldn't mind shoving in a little video game music segment.
But if you're not into that then we still have some juicy News for you. News like PewDiePie fucking up again, Nintendo honoring Satoru Iwata with some free golf, some new Switch games on the way, some new L.A. Noire on the way and that new Tomb Raider movie trailer.
Then in What Have We Been Playing, Rob walks us through this year's Pro Evolution Soccer vs. this year's Fifa. Which will be the superior game? One thing's for sure, we're the only podcast in the world with the answer!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Like a nice Sunday brunch, we're here again to leave you feeling satisfied, overcharged, and just a little bit sick.
This week we've got some Destiny 2 PC beta impressions, as well as some news about the latest and greatest in Nintendo's upcoming indie game line-up, Yakuza 2 getting Remade, Fallout 4's Creation Club and Half-Life 3's story getting leaked,
On top of all that, like some butter on top of a delicious croissant, we'll be giving you your weekly Ip and music sections, along with a special message from this week's sponsor: Bungie's 'Destiny 2'!
Bon appetit!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week it's all about Sonic Mania for Rob, and with no other major releases of note, consider that our main event.
But before the main event we need to fill you in on the week's news, including stories on the Sims 4, Crackdown 3, Xbox One X and Jurassic World Evolution. No glitches in our audio this week either, so it's a full and robust news segment just for you.
We also have the music that you crave and all the Ip that's fit to grip, so ease back in your seat and listen to this podcast. I mean you might as well, right?
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's a shorter episode this week due to some technical hiccups and unfortunate scheduling, but that doesn't mean we're skimping on the entertainment, oh no!
We may have a severly shortened news section, but we also have a music segment featuring a song chosen by one of our listeners, the first ever joint Ellery/Goss Ip, and a familiar face turns up to curate this week's What Have We Been Playing...

Guess who's back. Back again. Don is back. Don't tell anybody though, because it's our little secret.
Yes, the one and only Don Goss has returned to fill you in on the newest, hottest Goss Ip in the world of video games, as well as to tell you what he's been playing for the past 6 months... And it's not just been Destiny!
We also have news of the inevitable N64 Mini, eSports on BBC3, KFC game controllers and the Pokemon Go Fest in America which did not Pokemon Go well! Plus, ofcourse, that video game music that you crave so much!
All of that plus musings on why video games fail in mainstream media, disappointing opinions about The Last Of Us, the very nature of perpetual non-achievement, and which type of midget porn is best.
Probably an episode you don't want to miss.

Hello! It's time for another episode in one of the longest running podcasts going today (probably) the Gamecentral Podcast!
There's no Rob this week, instead it's just Dave and Gareth as they try to keep the ship afloat.
Of course we tell you about money you could have saved, we give you music, and we keep you updated on the news you need to hear, but this week we also have a review! For a game that's not even out yet!
Dave's been playing Aven Colony, a Civilization/Sim City style game that's coming to consoles soon, and Gareth's bought an Oculus Rift. Lot's to talk about on what is (probably) one of the longest running podcasts of all time (maybe)!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week we only have one thing on our minds: E3 2017.
Even though it's after work on a Friday, we go through each of the press conferences and point out our high(and low)lights, which we're sure every listener will agree with 100%.
All that plus, ofcourse, your weekly pinch of deals, and splash of video game music.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Amongst more horribleness this week, we're doing our usual thing to take your mind off it: Talking about absolute bullshit and video games.
This week there was news about the official announcement of Far Cry 5, which we talk about, amongst other things which I would try to remember except it's late and I'm tired.
Then in What Have We Been Playing, Rob has had his hands on a robot schoolgirl in Nier: Automata. Does he like it? Would you believe me if I told you that you would find out if you listened to the podcast? So many questions.
This, as well as your weekly music sections and now completely out-of-date deals and we've got ourselves an episode on our hands!
Enjoy, and stay safe out there.

It's been a rough few days here in Manchester, but in the face if that we've decided to put out an episode like we normally would, because doing anything else would just feel wrong. So get your headphones on, because your almost-weekly episode of the Gamecentral Podcast has finally arrived.
We've got a packed News section, a now irrelevant Ellery Ip and a long-ass What Have We Been Playing, so steel yourself for over 90 minutes of human males saying words into microphones for your hypothetical entertainment.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
New segments, old segments, and everything inbetween for this week's brand new Gamecentral Podcast!
They say no news is good news... But those people probably don't have a podcast with a prominent news section. In any event, Darksiders 3 is a thing that's happening and if you like facts about bananas then, weirdly, we've got you covered this week.
We also have the Ellery Ip, the only segment in podcasting that actively tries to Dave you money; the music segment, in which Rob's choice of song is not played for the 2nd week in a row; and a brand new fan fiction driven segment that you didn't know you didn't want until now!
Then in What Have We Been Playing we talk Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Dota 2, Pro Evolution Soccer and a few other nuggets of game chat peppered here and there.
"This shhh is bananas! [insert spelling of 'bananas' here]"
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Okay, playtime's over, time to turn this into the professional, serious podcast it was always meant to be.
This week we talk about our disbelief of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's review scores, Nintendo Switch sales, the New Nintendo 2DS XL, and Call of Duty: WWII.
Then in What Have We Been Playing we've got, amongst other things, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Sherlock Holmes, and the talk of the video game town: Player Unknown's Battlegrounds.
No frills, just some good, old fashioned, serious, professional video game discourse...
...ish.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Picture the scene: It's a Saturday night. Rob's awake, Dave's not out clubbing, and Gareth is halfway through a chicken dinner. The perfect time to talk about video games!!!
We've got news on the Switch, Nintendo's aversion to making money and ofcourse, all the deals you need in this week's ElleryIp.
Also, it's been a while since it happened but we've actually played games that are somewhat relevant and interest to talk about! So settle in while we talk about Mass Effect: Andromeda! Horizon: Zero Dawn! Ryse, and some Sherlock Holmes game!... Wait, no that can't be right... no, it is. Damn, so close!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
I was lucky enough to obtain a copy of Yooka-Laylee pre-release, so I thought I'd record my thoughts about what I'd played for any of you out there that are thinking about buying the game. Oh, and this isn't a review, I can't stress that enough. Grains of salt encouraged to be taken, your mileage will vary, etc.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week Dave has been scouring the high street for the latest deals on your cartridges and discs, and we talk the upcoming Game Boy Colour and its camera and printer add-ons. Will they change the world?!? We seem to think so!
And I guess hypothetically, if it were 2017, we'd talk about Mass Effect Andromeda, Evolve, Earth Defence Force for Vita, and Resident Evil 7. But that's just hypothetical.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week we were gifted with an exclusive review copy of the hottest, most anticipated game on the market at the moment...
Kitty Powers Matchmaker!
Hold onto your horses!
We've got news this week like always... News like the launch of Kitty Powers Matchmaker for next gen consoles!
We've got deals... Deals like Kitty Powers Matchmaker for any price!
Music... Like how the words "Kitty Powers Matchmaker" are music to my ears!
Oh, and Gareth's also played Zelda, but whatever.
Enjoy!

Hey! You there! Have you heard the good word of our lord and saviour Nintendo, and his son the Switch? No? Then let us fill you in!
Yes the Switch is now out and Nintendo sent us some early hardware to give you our honest first impressions (disclaimer: No they didn't, and no we don't.)
There's still a wad of Ellery-Ip, a clump of video game music, and an ejaculation of What Have We Been Playing to sink your teeth into on this week's episode too, featuring talk of Ghost Recon Wildlands, Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause 3, Hitman, Yakuza Zero and Resident Evil 4.
See, plenty to enjoy for all you Nintendo haters out there! Though if you don't like Nintendo then please do not listen to our podcast.

Could it be? A brand new voice on the podcast?! And a female voice at that?!
Yes, we're joined by podcast newcomer Maeve, who knows everything there is to know about The Sims and cooking for a family of 4 (at least that's what Rob told me.) All joking aside, don't miss the first episode with a new member of our ever-expanding, dysfunctional gaming family. And did we mention it's a she?!
Unfortunately both Dave AND Don are unavailable this week, which means we're left Ip-less, that is unless Rob can reach Don by the power of the mobile telephone. And as far as regular news goes, it's been a dry week, with scarcely a news story of interest to be found. Can we draw blood from the news stone? Most likely not.
And in What Have We Been Playing we talk about The Last Guardian, Just Cause 3, Resident Evil 5 and a Yu-Gi-Oh mobile game. If variety is the spice of life, then we're at least a mild paprika.
We're getting back into the swing of things, one week at a time!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
A few weeks after the podcast's 3rd birthday we return to layeth the smacketh down all over your candy earholes. Our collective New Year's Resolution is to get back to podcasting and to make 2017 "a biggie."
You know what it is. It's news, it's music, it's gaming deals, and it's what have we been playing. New year, but same winning formula, but with a little added Ellery this week.
In News this week we're packing in stories about Scalebound's tragic (maybe a bit strong of a word) cancellation by Microsoft, Mass Effect Andromeda has its release date and it's 2 months away, the Nintendo Switch says fuck your backwards compatability, Marvel and Square Enix are making an Avengers game, and people have been receiving Resident Evil themed penises in the post. So your typical week of news, then.
Then we're going to go back in time and look at what our games of 2016 were. We're not after a consensus, we just want to highlight the games that did it (or didn't do it) for us in the last 12 months. Final Fantasy XV, Gears of War 4, Hitman, Inside, Doom and No Man's Sky are all on our minds, but we all have entirely different games of the year!
Add to that mix the Ellery-Ip and the weekly(ish) Music Section and you've got one hell of an entertainment pancake!
Guys. We're back...

Not a review, just some thoughts about the phone app that has taken the world by storm, from a lifelong Pokémon fan.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Gareth has a quick update for you about the status of the podcast, its potential future, and your emails.
Also it's bloody hot.

A short bonus episode of the podcast in which Gareth gives you his review of Playdead's newest game, 'Inside'.
Can the Limbo developer do it again after a 6 year break since their first release? Listen to find out.

It's E3! That's right, E3 has arrived and with it comes a veritable onslaught of games!
Rob, Gareth and Don will walk you through the big three events: Microsoft, Sony and The Legend of Zelda... I mean Nintendo.
Rob guides us through Microsoft's Press Conference as we talk about the likes of Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Scalebound, Dead Rising 4, Halo Wars 2, State of Decay 2, Inside, and We Happy Few. Quite an eclectic mix of games, but which member of the podcast thought literally none of them looked good?
Then it's Don's turn to (slowly) walk us through Sony's Press Conference line-up. We discuss God of War, Death Stranding, The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Detroit: Become Human, Resident Evil 7, Days Gone, Crash Bandicoot, and Playstation VR. We're split again with Sony's showing, but you'll have to listen to see who thought what about which.
Then it's on to Nintendo to talk about what we saw of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The open world Zelda game was shown by Nintendo through live demos and we talk about what we saw, and where we think it might lead.
We also briefly touch on Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2, and Insomniac's Spiderman, as well as a few of the other titles dotted around the various events surrounding the big 3 press conferences.
And finally we finish up with a grand old argument between Don and Gareth about the Project Scorpio announcement by Microsoft. It's been absolutely ages since 2 podcast hosts have disagreed about something this hard, so grab some popcorn, make yourself comfortable and get your ass ready for some fireworks!
Happy E3, everybody!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
T'was the podcast before E3 and all through the 'net, every good announcement was being leaked, we're willing to bet.
Yes, E3 is in just a few short days, but don't worry, if you've managed to keep your virgin eyes pure or E3 leaks then our comprehensive AND SPOILER FREE news section is for you! We'll be avoiding the herd of elephants in the room and bringing you news of Videogame Nation being cancelled by Challenge; Resident Evil 5 Remastered headed to current gen consoles for nice and cheap; Fallout 4 mods proving to be very popular on console; and Minecraft passing another sales milestone. all of that plus stories on WWE 2K17, Elite Dangerous, Star Wars Battlefront 3, Telltale's upcoming Batman adventure game, X-Com 2, Destiny, and vaginas.
Ofcourse we'd just be being mean if we neglected to bring your your weekly helpings of Hot Goss Ip and video game music, so rest assured you won't be leaving this week's podcast with an empty stomach.
Then instead of talking about what we've been playing, we devote the last section of this week's podcast to the multitude of E3 leaks. Those of you who already know about them can hear what we think about what's been announced, but those that want to avoid the E3 spoilers should stop listening before the final section. Still listen to the music though... Please... Please listen to my music segment. Please.

Podcast, READY?
Listeners, READY?
3, 2, 1... WHISTLE
On this week's episode of the Gamecentral Podcast we suffer from what may be the most devastating tangent of all time, so if you were hoping to stay up to date on all the week's happenings from the world of video games, then you are in for whatever the opposite of a treat is (a trick, I suppose.)
That being said, this week involved headlines about No Man's Sky getting delayed; launch PS4's not being great for Playstation VR; Xbox's powerful competitor to Playstation Neo entitled "Scorpio"; and lots more. And ordinarily I'd tell you that the best place to hear about all that news is right here on the Gamecentral Podcast... Ordinarily...
For this week's feature we have a very special "guest." We have a "German" composer of 8-Bit "music" here to give you a taste of some of his upcoming "songs." This section definitely isn't a waste of your time.
Then, as well as your weekly Hot Goss Ip and music sections, we get onto talking about what we've been playing this past week. Fallout 4: Far Harbour, Destiny, Nuclear Throne, Everybody's Don To The Rapture, and
Trackmania Turbo are all on the menu.
We thank you for your listenership of the Gamecentral Podcast and we can only apologise for this week's episode.
...Please come back.

Our main event this week is Rob's review of Uncharted 4, a game he was looking forward to so much that he missed the recording of last week's podcast rather than miss playing it for an hour! With anticipation through the roof, what will Rob make of Nathan Drake's final adventure?
But before we get onto that, we need to fill you in on the week's news! Disney is ceasing production of Infinity for good; the NX will apparently be like neither the WiiU or the 3DS; Mass Effect Andromeda has been delayed until 2017; and Star Trek Online is coming to consoles! All that plus news about the Overwatch Beta from last week, Modern Warfare Trilogy, Pokken Tournament, Street Fighter 5, and the upcoming slate of video game movies that we have to "look forward" to.
Then, it's not all Uncharted 4 in "What Have We Been Playing," there's also talk of Destiny, Galak-Z, Starcraft 2 and Dead Star. But let's be honest, you're only here for Rob talking about Uncharted 4.
Incidently, you may be wondering why this episode's title isn't Uncharted 4 related in any way. There's a reason for that, but to find out you'll just have to listen to this week's episode of the award-wanting Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
No Rob this week, he's feigning illness whilst playing Uncharted 4, but Gareth and Don are holding it down with the news of the last 7ish days.
We've got shooters on the brain as we discuss the merits and pitfalls of Activision and EA going completely opposite directions with their flagship shooters. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 have both been revealed and the internet is a blaze, but what do a ball of hair and a midget think? This is the only place to find out.
If shooters aren't your thing though we've got plenty of other stuff to talk about, like the new Pokemon Sun and Moon trailer; Nintendo's Zelda-focused E3; Destiny's player count; winnable bovines, and Overwatch porn searches. Told you there was plenty!
Then to finish off we're talkiing about what we've played this week, including the Overwatch Beta, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, Galak-Z, Destiny, and Monument Valley. Oh, and it wouldn't be the Gamecentral Podcast without your weekly Hot Goss Ip and Video Game Music sections, both of which are present and correct.
Be sure to tune in next week as (SPOILERS!) Rob tries to call Uncharted 4 the best game ever made and Gareth and Don tease him relentlessly for it. Probably. I can only assume.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
After missing a few weeks due to Disneyland-related issues (and also a few Rob-related ones) we're back and we'll be guiding you through the rough waters of video gaming as it happened in the latter half of April.
News of Nintendo's intention to release NX and Zelda in 2017 sparks quite the debate amongst us as we argue all the pros and cons of Nintendo's decision, before moving on to stories regarding Titanfall 2, Borderlands 3 and the rumoured Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. All of that plus new information about Witcher 3's imminent DLC "Blood and Wine;" a Batman Arkham Collection rearing its head; and YouPorn dipping its... toe into the world of eSports somewhat unsuccessfully.
All that news, as well as your weekly dose of Hot Goss Ip and video game music before we catch up with What we've Been Playing. Rob has been on a bit of a retro bender, Don has been grinding up on all the latest additions to Destiny, and Gareth has played some Fallout 4 and COMPLETED Dark Souls 3. Be sure to listen in to hear his controversial opinions on the game!
And to all you mustard fans out there... Bon appetite!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week it's like learning to walk all over again, as we're forced to embrace triple figures, and all the pressure that comes along with it! But don't worry, we're not reinventing the wheel here, we've still got your weekly dose of Goss Ip right from the Don's mouth, and a helping of video game music hand picked to educate, illuminate and penetrate your brain!
But if that's not your bag, maybe you'd prefer some fresh news instead. We'll give you the skinny on only the best news in gaming for the week. Fallout 4 was voted best game at this weeks Video Game BAFTA's; the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift are having trouble keeping supply up with demand; a Bioshock collection looks imminent; and we have a release date for Gears of War 4. All of this and stories about the Last Of Us movie's troubles, the next Division update, Gunstar Heroes backwards compatibly, and a saddo reaching level 100 in World of Warcraft in an unorthodox way.
The in What Have We Been Playing we've got Miitomo, Fallout 4, WWE 2K16, and Resident Evil Revelations 2 on the brain!
Triple digits feels pretty good you guys... Depending on where you put them. Enjoy!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's here, our 100th episode, and we're celebrating with a look back over 2 years worth of "entertaining" podcasts that will have you shedding a tear, in more ways than one.
But before we get around to that, don't worry, we won't be letting down those of you who rely on us for the latest and greatest gaming news and opinions as we give you the biggest stories of the week. Stories such as a very convincing NX controller leak that turned out to be a hoax; Sony working on a "PS4.5" that's more powerful; Blizzard getting into trouble with an overly sexual lady in Overwatch; and a live demo of downloading and opening Miitomo for the very first time! But that's not all, we've also got news on Street Fighter 5's chart performance; Final Fantasy XV getting a release date, demo, anime and animated film all at once; and even a bit of Turok and Rocket League. Fit to bursting!
Then we cast a sorrowful look back at the past 2 years and throw a funeral for all those studios that we've lost over the duration. It's a rainy, dreary day but the bagpipes are in full swing and we've got eulogies to give to game companies that are no longer with us.
But it's not all doom and gloom, as we finish off episode 100 with a selection of our favourite ever segments from over 2 years worth of episodes. From testicle eating to lover's spats, movie trailers to Russian rescues, and a little Maurice Hawkins thrown in for good measure, join us in remembering a superb 100 episodes, if we do say so ourselves!
Here's to 100 more!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's all aboard the VR train this week, as Sony finally announces a release window, and price for Playstation VR. We've also got news on another VR headset's launch line-up, as we delve into the Oculus Rift's day one games... With our own little twist, of course.
But that's not the only news that occurred this week, Lindsay Lohan's lawsuit against Rockstar has been approved; Microsoft is opening the door to true cross-platform XBox One V PS4 multiplayer; Fallout 4's Automatron DLC got a trailer and launch date; and find out where you can try the HTC Vive for yourself here in jolly old England. ALL of that plus news on Star Fox Zero, Half Life/Portal movies, The Division, Tomb Raider, and a surprisingly depressing story about a small baby beating Street Fighter 5.
As for the rest of the podcast, we serve up your usual Hot Goss Ip and music sections, as well as Rob's attempt to make our listeners recount childhood traumas through sound. Plus, there's more to be said about Gareth's impending trip to Disneyland, apparently.
Then finally in What Have We Been Playing, Rob is angry that Gareth won't play WWE 2K16 while Gareth talks about Wrestlemania, and Don has played the Division and Resident Evil Revelations 2... Well, sort of.
Enjoy the double digits while they last, because next week we're hitting trips, baby!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This isn't just A week, this is THE week. The week in which the hopes and dreams of a nation are fulfilled, the week in which the impossible becomes the possible, and the week in which podcast listeners the world over breathe a sigh of relief, because Gareth is out of Bronze! Don't worry though, for some reason we only spend 2 minutes talking about it.
In news this week we've got stories on No Man's Sky's final release date and price, as well as gameplay; Fable creators Lionhead Studios getting shut down by Microsoft; Brand new Pokemon titles announced for Christmas called Sun and Moon; and a release date for Star Fox Zero. And if that wasn't enough we've also got news on Dota 2, Hitman, Zelda, and Resident Evils 4,5 and 6!
With the news out of the way we're free to talk about the week's biggest C**t in gaming, some more Disneyland "discussion" and of course your weekly fixes of video game music and Hot Goss Ip.
Then it's onto What Have We Been Playing, where Gareth hasn't JUST gotten out of Bronze, but he's also found time to complete both The Witness and SUPERHOT all in the same week!
Gareth is truly superhuman (and totally not writing this right now...)
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week was host to one of the biggest betas of the year, The Division. Both Rob and Don have played it and have some pretty strong thoughts about it, but do they like it or loath it? Stay tuned until our final section to find out.
But before all that, we've got some news for you. Black Ops 3 is getting a multiplayer-only release on the PC; a shit load of people played Fallout Shelter as it turns out; Pokemon turns 20 years old this week; the HTC Vive VR headset finally has a price; news on when console players can expect Fallout 4 mods; and much more! Plus, don't forget that we've got a nutritious helping of Hot Goss Ip for you that you can't afford to miss (except that you totally can.)
All of that plus some tasty bonuses for you, like our "Sad C**t of the Week;" your weekly Video Game Music Segment; the latest update on Gareth's impending Disneyland adventure; how Rob embarrassed himself this week; and what Don got for his (I assume) 50th birthday.
It's a wonder we're able to cram it all into just 90 short minutes!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
After a month away Don has returned in full force which means that the Gamecentral Podcast is back!
Far too much has happened to sum it all up, but we try to keep our News section as relevant as possible by talking about such recent gaming topics as Red Dead Redemption and the Sega Dreamcast. We also have news about Hideo Kojima's first non-gaming project since getting ditched by Konami; what Fallout 4's DLC has in store and how much it'll cost you; Quantum Break coming to Windows 10; Dark Souls 3's questionable DLC plans; and more!!!
Then, in amongst the various injections of Goss Ip, music, and Disney talk, we sit in disbelief as the world of gaming serves up another facepalmingly infuriating "achievement" performed by somebody with too much time on their hands in "OH, What a Sad C**t!"
And then finally we wrap up the show with What Have We Been Playing, in which Rob goes in depth with Dying Light's Enhanced Edition; Gareth changes his tune on Elder Scrolls Online; and Don admits that Fallout 4 is the best game he would have played last year... if he had played it in 2015 that is.
It's an episode of revelations, reactions, and realisations. It's the Gamecentral Podcast: Reloaded!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Less than 3 weeks into 2016 and we're already looking backwards at the year that was 2015. A year ago we made some predictions about what we thought we would or wouldn't see, but one year later were our guesses correct, or were we way off the mark?
Before we find out though, it's time for your weekly dose of video game news. Hitman is going episodic; The Division's beta is on the way; Twilight Princess HD is getting an extra dungeon; and the results of Sony's attempted trademark of "Let's Play" have been revealed. Oh, and there was a trailer for a new Cloverfield film this week... You know, in case anyone missed it.
Some accomplishments in gaming are impressive, some are time consuming, and some require an enormous amount of skill. Then there are those that, while being all of those things, are just so ridiculous that you're forced to ask "what kind of person would even want to put themselves through that?" In our new section this week, we attempt to answer that question.
And finally, it's onto the green pastures of What Have We Been Playing, as we discuss Rocket League, Elder Scrolls Online, WWE 2K16, Diablo 3, Fallout 4, and Halo 5. Such a diverse and varied set of games could only appear on one show on the internet: The Gamecentral Podcast!
Enjoy!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
2015 is over and done with, and now it's time to get back to what we do best! We just have to remember what that is...
Oh yeah, news!
We have a confirmed launch date and price for the Oculus Rift (and it's not cheap); Psychonauts 2 is definitely a thing that's definitely happening; and Activision has bought the Major League Gaming esports organization. This news plus news on Watch_Dogs 2, the next Assassin's Creed, Scalebound, Just Cause 3, and more! Plus your industry-breaking dose of Hot Goss Ip, as always.
Don may not be with us in voice, but he's with us in spirit... and pre-recorded voice, to tell us what he's been playing, and it's not Destiny! This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill! And as Christmas has come and gone we've got our Christmas hauls to talk about, including: Fallout 4, Dark Souls, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, WWE 2k16 and lots more to cover on top of that.
It's bloody freezing, so put your earmuffs on, slide your earphones on underneath them, and let us make your chilly winter trips that little bit more enjoyable! Unless we have Guy back on ofcourse, in which case tear the ear phones out and throw your phone as far as you can, whilst running in the opposite direction.
Happy new year!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's been a couple of weeks since we last put out a podcast, but we return triumphantly to discuss what we think are the top games of the year!
We each have our own idea of what the best game was, but there will be no arguments here! Because we're going to let all 3 of our Games of the Year share the spotlight as we go in depth about why we love our specific picks as much as we do.
Did I say "all 3 of us?" Oh, silly me, I forgot to mention, this podcast also marks the triumphant return of one Robert Walker! It's a Christmas miracle!
2015 was great, so join us in celebrating a year in which Don wasn't able to vote for Destiny for Game of the Year, a year in which Gareth gained and lost 2 whole jobs, and a year in which Rob sexually harassed NO women live on the podcast. And it was also choc-full of great games!
Oh, and... Merry Christmas!

This week, as it's a one-man affair, we're keeping the podcast nice and simple, and within a somewhat restrained time frame... for once.
In news we cover the bigger announcements coming out of the Game Awards, including Telltale's take on Batman; Far Cry: Primal's first reveal of gameplay footage; and Psychonauts 2, amongst many other stories from the awards (including which game won Game of the Year.) There's also news of the Final Fantasy VII "remake," the remake of Resident Evil 2, Majora's Mask and Destiny.
The year is drawing to a close so we need to start deciding what is the Best __________ of the Year soon, so all through December, our music sections will be dedicated to the 4 finalists for best soundtrack. What game will this week's soundtrack belong to?
Then to round off a lean podcast, there's just time for talk of Rocket League and Tales From the Borderlands to send you home with. Start working on your 2015 game pile now guys, every day 2016 lunges closer towards us, thrusting the cold entropic crotch of time in our general direction as its enormous pendulum caresses our faces.
See you next week!

In what can only be described as "another episode of the podcast," we return to give you the low down in this week's gaming shenanigans.
In news this week we're talking about Rainbow Six: Siege's beta woes; some release dates for upcoming releases; PS4 receiving PS2 backwards compatability; News on how big Star Wars: Battlefront's launch was; and Resident Evil 6 coming to current gen consoles... which nobody wants. All this and more for those of you who've stayed away from the headlines this week.
We've got more Hot Goss Ip for you, and some fantastic music before we talk about the games that have been keeping us busy these past 7 days. Aside from the regular likes of Destiny and Fallout 4, we also talk about Guitar Hero: Live, the newest entry into the franchise. Will it measure up? Ask Guy, that's what we did.
We begin possible preparations for the return of Rob Walker to the podcast, so husbands lock up your wives... and your daughters... and probably bring the cat in the house, just to be on the safe side.

Remember last week when Guy Whitlock was back on the podcast for one week only, and how special of a treat that was?... Well he's back again this week. I know, not quite as exciting a 2nd time.
But oh well, we're not going to let Guy's underwhelming presence drag us down, in stead we're going to throw video games at you until you beg us to stop!
In news this week we've got the hottest stories out of last week's Nintendo Direct, including Final Fantasy VII's Cloud being in Super Smash Bros; Pokemon Picross and re-releases of Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow for the 3DS; Cloud Strife, a character from Final Fantasy VII coming to Super Smash Bros; Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD heading to the Wii U with a special Wolf Link Amiibo along side it; and also, Super Smash Bros is adding Cloud to its roster. You know, Cloud, from Final Fantasy VII.
There's also Hot Gossip for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain owners, and news about Fallout 4, Destiny, Resident Evil Revelations 2 and Naughty Dog's future plans.
Then if you haven't had your fill of hearing about Fallout 4 yet, you will after What Have We Been Playing, as Gareth and Guy have a meandering, aimless conversation the likes of which nobody has ever heard before... or ever wants to hear again.
Plus, did you guys hear that Cloud is going to be in Super Smash Bros?!
Still one Halo 5 soundtrack to give away, so get your emails in!

Fallout 4! Did you guys know Fallout 4 is now out?! FALLOUT 4?!?
If you weren't aware, you will be by the end of this week's episode! And on top of that, we've also managed to call in the help of a Fallout super fan to aid us in the podcast this week: Gamecentral Podcast original Guy Whitlock!
But there were also video game happenings this week that weren't Fallout related, and we'll give you the low down on all of those happenings in this week's News section. We talk about the World of Warcraft movie trailer, Black Ops 3's impressive opening weekend sales figures, Nintendo's plans for all-free phone apps, and Just Cause 3 developer Avalanche talks about the game's potential multiplayer. All of that, plus GAME fucking up Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition pre-orders for everybody. So much to talk about!
Then, after a brief Fallout-themed music section, and a short little Guy Whitlock-centric feature, we finally get into talking about Fallout 4! Two of us have played the shit out of it solid for 2 days and we've got A LOT to talk about, so join us and see if you agree with what we think of the most highly anticipated game of the year: FALLOUT 4!!!
FALLLLLLLLLOUTTTTTTTTTT FOURRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

You've finished off your Halloween chocolate, your costume is packed away ready for next year, and your sleep pattern is just returning to normal after a week or scary movies. What better time to reintroduce yourself to the world of video games!
This week's news section is absolutely massive, and includes No Man's Sky's release window; Halo 5's day one sales figures; the winners of the Golden Joystick Awards for 2015; Batman: Arkham Knight still being broken on PC; and also a little bit of bragging from Don in light of some Hot Gossip success. There's also news on Fallout 4, Destiny, Nintendo's first phone app, and oh so much more!
For our feature this week, we recorded ourselves doing a spot or trick or treating in video game land! But can you guess what video game star's house we're trick or treating at before we can? Almost certainly yes!
The in What Have We Been Playing we talk about League of Legends, Destiny and Left 4 Dead, before revealing how YOU can win a brand new copy of the Halo 5 soundtrack!
Also, stay tuned until the end for a special announcement about next week's episode... You have been warned!

Do you like... scary podcasts?
Happy Halloween everyone! Yes it's the scariest day of the year, which means that by default, this podcast is the SCARIEST podcast of the year!
It's been a while since the first proper episode, but Gareth and Don are here to take you through the past 3 week's worth of news and games with the level of charisma and personality you've come to expect from us.
Halo 5 is out this week and Microsoft have been talking about a possible PC port of the game; Metal Gear Solid V's day-one sales figures have been announced (and they're not bad); Arkham Knight is finally available to buy again for PC owners; and Harmonix employees have been found posting positive reviews for Rock Band 4 on Amazon. All of that plus news about Resident Evil 4 for Wii U, Shigeru Miyamoto's "Goldeneye", EA ruling out HD remakes, and an idea for the next Zelda from Don that might just blow your motherfucking mind!
Plus, loads more! 3 weeks(ish) worth of news!
After some delightful music, we move onto talking about the games that have been occupying our disk drives and and anal cavities. We've got Destiny, Journey, Serious Sam: The First Encounter HD, League of Legends, and the Star Wars Battlefront beta on our minds, and we want to tell you about them.
Have a lovely and responsible Halloween weekend, and hopefully you don't find this episode too terrifying. Too horrifying. Too... SCARY?...
BOO!

From big titles, to smaller releases, we've compiled a selection of the best music to grace your ears over the past 10 months, including: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Bloodborne, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Elder Scrolls Online, Super Mario Maker, The Order: 1886, Dying Light and many more!
So join us for what is likely to become an annual tradition, think back to the games you've played this year, and reminisce about how great their soundtracks were. Do you disagree with the tracks we picked? Did your favourite game soundtrack not get mentioned? Be sure to let us know. There's still time left in 2015, and your favourite can still make it on the show!

Some big news this week, as changes to the Consumer Rights Act mean that gamers can now claim refunds on faulty digital content as well as discs. We talk about that and what it could mean for gamers going forward before we delve into news of Konami being filthy little liars; the embarrassment that is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5; "Twitch Plays" latest big achievement; and Assassin's Creed Syndicate's shameful DLC.
But news doesn't even stop there, as we also have stories about Metal Gear Solid V, Rise of the Tomb Raider; Until Dawn, Super Smash Bros., and Mass Effect! If it happened, we've probably got it covered.
We're still on the search for applicants to Challenge Rob, but this week we've actually managed to obtain a prize to entice you! So if you feel like you have what it takes to dethrone Mr. Walker, then be sure to get in touch, because you know, we're not psychic.
And in What Have We Been Playing this week we talk Diablo 3, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, Bloodborne, and the unfortunate mainstay that is Destiny.
We've officially entered October, the scariest month of the year, so be sure to stay tuned to the Gamecentral Podcast in the coming weeks for some... surprises. Don't say we didn't warn you!

We're switching things up this week with a slight change of hosts, but have no fear, Gareth, Don and Rob are still a well-oiled (but slightly rusted) machine here to violently shove you through the last week of video games.
Like most weeks, this week there was some video game news. Obviously getting the most important stories out first is a priority of ours, so expect to hear about Taco Bell giveaways and Coronation Street before we bother with any of that pesky unimportant stuff like the cost of Playstation VR, or Konami getting out of the gaming business. Other news includes more Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps details, what Xbox owners will be getting for free this month, more stuff somehow getting discovered in Grand Theft Auto 5 for the first time, and more!
And before we talk about what we've been playing we give you the opportunity to appear on a future episode. "How?!" I hear you scream out loud. Well be sure to be paying attention after this week's music section for more details.
Rob's been playing Drive Club and Bloodborne for the first time; Gareth's completed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain; and Don's been playing the exact same game that he's been playing for over an entire year non-stop... We can only apologise.
Interesting fact about the number 84: It takes Uranus 84 years to orbit the sun once. You learn something new every week when you listen to the Gamecentral Podcast!

It's been another week of video games, and what better way to stay caught up than by listening to 3 non-professionals postulate about proper handjob technique.
In this week's news we're learning all about Nintendo delaying another one of their hottest releases; more Tomb Raider movies; and a Han Solo fridge. Also, Naughty Dog may have accidentally revealed The Last Of Us 2; BBC's dramatization about Grand Theft Auto "Gamechanger" aired this week; Assassin's Creed is getting some Jack the Ripper DLC; and a PS1 inspired Dual Shock 4 is available for you to buy right now. All of this and MUCH more in this week's news!
Then we've got a bumper What Have We Been Playing section as we continue our spoilerless chat about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Don's Christmas has come early with the release of Destiny's Taken King expansion. Will it revitalise Destiny, or will it feel like a desperate money grab?! Don has all the answers to all the questions you don't even care about the answers to!
We're light on features this week, but heavy on Destiny talk, so basically it's probably the worst episode we've ever had if you're not a Destiny fan...
Enjoy!

After a 2 week hiatus we have returned to inform and intrigue you once again. Don has returned from his holiday in sunny Spain, Gareth is once again jobless, and Rob is incredibly tired. It's just like old times!
In News this week we comb through the last fortnight's biggest stories to tell you about. Stories like GAME charging people upto 7 times for a single copy of Mario Maker; Lionsgate setting out to produce films set in the Borderlands universe; the end of Club Nintendo; Mortal Kombat X and Fallout 4 DLC news; and even more!!! There's even a Destiny update from Don as patch 2.0 hits, oh, and your weekly allotment of hot and spicy Goss Ip, ofcourse.
This week, in response to an email, we dedicate an entire feature to one game, and one game only: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Gareth and Rob will dive headfirst into Big Boss' final adventure and see how their experiences with the game have compared, but will they both like it, or will a fight break out live on air?! Only one way to find out.
And finally, we wrap the episode up the same way we always do, by telling you what we've been playing. Spoilers though... It's Metal Gear Solid V. We've been playing Metal Gear Solid V.

It's the most interactive episode of the Gamecentral Podcast ever! We've had fan emails and even a suggestion of a new feature, a suggestion which we will be more than happy to make a reality!
But ofcourse, first, we're going to give you all the news that you've been craving, including some Hot Goss Ip coming to fruition; all the Metal Gear Solid V review buzz; Grand Theft Auto and Witcher 3 sales figures; Pokken Tournament surfing its way onto Wii U; and all your free gaming offerings from Microsoft and Sony this month. All of that plus much more in your round up of the week's news.
Then, with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releasing next week, we take you on a journey through the complicated history of the Metal Gear franchise. We're 90% sure we've got everything right, but we won't be held responsible for any tiny mistakes we may make in recounting the convoluted narrative of Hideo Kojima's beloved series.
Then, after a haunting look into Rob's psyche, we talk about the games we've been playing this week which include Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes; Diablo 3; Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter; Resident Evil: Revelations 2; and will this be Don's last ever episode talking about Destiny?!
And finally we round out the experience by hearing what you have to say, in another new section: Customer Feedback!

Don has been taking another trip through the world of celebrity this week, this time managing to get his little hands on Countdown and the Gadget Show's Rachel Riley!
But nevermind that, you're here. We're here. Let's talk about some video games, shall we?
We've got all your news for the week, so if you've missed any of the big stories to hit in the past 7 days then we've got your back. We've got news of a new Star Wars limited edition of the PS4; the status of the Resident Evil 2 fan remake; GTAV's video editor coming to consoles; news of some new titles coming to your smart phone; and Don's got all the Destiny news that nobody asked for.
For a feature this week we're on an unfortunate trip to the Jobcentre to identify the jobs formerly held by video game characters that we think we'd do pretty well at, as well as trying to figure out who had the job before us.
Then in What Have We Been Playing we've got Battlefield: Hardline; Zombi; Borderlands the Pre Sequel; Fallout Shelter and probably a bit of Destiny from a mystery member of the podcast.

79 and feeling fine, that's us here on the Gamecentral Podcast!
If you've not been paying attention to the world of video games this week then we've got you covered, with all the biggest and best news from the last 7-ish days. Fallout Shelter is out on Android; PT players are still finding new things in the game; a Stephen Spielberg Halo TV series is still apparently in the works; Fallout 4 footage has been leaked on Pornhub; and even potential news of Super Meat Boy 2Q But if you thought that was all your news then you're dead wrong! There's still Destiny, Cities: Skylines, RARE, Hearthstone, Black Ops 3 AND PS Plus news to get through! Incredible!
With the story breaking this week that Capcom and going to remake Resident Evil 2, we delve into whether we want it, and what a Resident Evil 2 remake could even look like in 2015. We've all got our own idea for what the perfect RE2 remake would entail, see which one of us you agree with, if any!
Then it's a What Have We Been Playing section straight from hell, as we wander through endless sand dunes, the convincing mirages and the blood-thirsty mosquitoes of this horrific desert that we call a games drought. Will we make it out if the other side? Only one way to find out: By listening to his week's episode of the Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
We're here, and we've got all the big news from Gamescom, in fact, some might say we've got far TOO much news from Gamescom. There's also Goss Ip, and news about everything from Smash Bros Wii U; to Halo 5... I'm blanking on specific stories as I write this, but it'll just be even more pleasant of a surprise when you get there!
In our game this week we have a bonafide Marvel superhero helping us out! But which one? It's a mystery, impossible to figure it out.
And in What We've Been Playing we're talking FIFA, League of Legends, Destiny and flOw.
You're in for a long one this week because of the sheer volume of Gamescom news, but we don't mind going out of our way to keep you informed in the world of gaming! Aren't we generous!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Episode 77 is an episode like no other! Well, it's an episode kind of like the other 76 actually, except not!
In News this week we're talking about WWE 2K16's ever evolving cast of characters as it loses a wrestler, and gains a, erm... a cyborg? No, that can't be right...; Del Toro and Kojima are at it again; Fallout Shelter finally has a launch date for Android; the Fallout collection will be stored inside a miniature nuclear warhead; and we'll be filling you in on what games you'll be getting for free in your PS4 and Xbox Ones this month. All of that plus betas, Goss Ip and more!
We've got a special game to play this week, as Gareth faces Don in a test of audio knowledge, as we try to identify the First Person Shooter based on gameplay sounds alone!
Then in stead of telling you what we've been playing we take a detour to the land of movies and talk about Ant Man, Inside Out, and Thomas the Tank Engine in a special episode of Light, Banter, Action!
Week after week we do our very best to keep you entertained and informed about the world of video games... and, erm, movies I guess. You're welcome!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
The Gamecentral Lives Facebook page lost a member this week, but we're trying our best to keep it business as usual as best we can.
We've got plenty of Goss-ip and news for you, so whether your thing is celebrities cosplaying, birds of an angry disposition, or sailors, then we've got you covered. Other news topics include Street Fighter 5 not making you pay for DLC; the Minecraft movie getting a weird director; Rare Replay taking up way more space than it needs to; Prototype running way worse on a PS4 than a PS3; and KotoR 2 getting a big update 10 years after its release. Plus, EVEN MORE!!! So much news!
Then we find out that tea doesn't last forever... Or does it?
And in What Have We Been Playing we're talking Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Destiny, League of Legends, FIFA '15, Starcraft 2 and, if Don's done his homework, The Last Of Us!
The slow crawl away from episode 75 and towards episode 100 begins, hopefully you join us for the slow, slow ride!

It's a sad episode of the Gamecentral Podcast this week, as the gaming industry lost one of its finest in Nintendo's Satoru Iwata. We talk about him, and how important he was not only for Nintendo but the gaming industry as a whole, and how he affected us personally... However, we're british, and the only way we know to handle our emotions is to crack on and try our best to make light of a shitty situation.
So we (sigh) keep calm and carry on, with news this week of Hideo Kojima's continued removal from Konami's existence; Tekken X Street Fighter apparently still being an actual game that might come out; Halo's all time sales getting announced; and Batman: Arkham Knight's Batgirl DLC not coming out on PC any time soon, much to nobody's surprise.
We have more music as suggested by another podcast listener this week before we debut a new feature: 8-Bit Shit. Rob has selected classic theme music from films, but done in an 8-bit style. It's up to Gareth and Don to see if they can identify the music and prove which is the superior hearer of bleeps and bloops!
There's just time for a splash of tea before we talk about (and try to rename) what we've been playing this week and that's another podcast in the can!
All that's left to do is thank Mr. Iwata for all he's done, and to say that his influence will continue to be felt for many, many years to come. Thank you, Iwata-san.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
We're operating under a skeleton crew this week, so expect a shorter podcast, but don't fret, we'll still fill you in on the week's News...
News like a Destiny-themed PS4 that has Don all hot and bothered; Gears of War: Ultimate Edition's ridiculous install size; Just Cause 3's pre-order bonuses; new Tearaway functionality for PS4; and the new WWE 2K16 cover star, which has Gareth ALL excited. Plus a little bit more News on top of that, in case you hadn't had your fill.
Oh, and don't forget the audio viagra that is Don's Hot Goss IP! If your IP lasts longer than 6 hours please consult your healthcare physician.
We also talk about what we've been playing, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut and Driveclub are on the menu, finishing off with some shout outs to a few listeners who have gotten in touch this week.
Episode 74?! Oh hell yeah!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Another week, another dollar, and another episode of the best gaming podcast this side of iTunes top 300 gaming podcasts list.
In our news section this week we're talking about the latest rumours about Nintendo's NX; more details of what exactly will be in Star Wars: Battlefront; more news about Arkham Knight's ridiculous PC issues; and the possibility of The Last Of Us 2. All this news plus more stories on Uncharted 4, Shenmue 3, Minecraft, Ocarina of Time on Wii U, and the new Tony Hawks.
Then Don seeks to gain some credibility back after last week's atrocious performance, by challenging Gareth (and himself) to another round of video game Guess Who, featuring some of the least consequential characters that gaming has to offer.
Finally in What Have We Been Playing we're talking Arkham Knight, Driveclub, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Borderlands 2 and Destiny. All of this PLUS extras like your Video Game Music of the Week, and the "longest running podcast soap opera" on the internet, Tea-For-Two!
Good luck finding another gaming podcast that crams this much variety into a single episode... And good luck finding us on the top 300 on iTunes. Well now I'm sad. Enjoy the podcast!

We're fresh off from E3, but that doesn't mean that the video games stop! Quite the contrary, the video games are still out in force, with the launch of Batman: Arkham Knight this week. We'll be talking about the game in What Have We Been Playing, but there's lots to get through before that.
This week was filled with news, including Bungie shitting the bed with absolutely everything to do with Destiny's upcoming The Taken King DLC, from charging £40 for it, to forcing people to pay £80 for almost no extra exclusive content, and even selling content exclusively through Red Bull. As you'd imagine Don has a lot to say about it. That's not all for the news this week though, with more including Blizzard's plans for upcoming Diablo 3 DLC; Splatoon's sales figures; Nintendo's surprise F-Zero strategy from a few years ago; a few more details regarding Xbox One backwards compatability; and the many, many troubles of Arkham Knight's PC release. I don't know how we fit it all in!
If you've been lamenting the lack of a good Gareth vs. Don in recent months, then REJOICE! Because the popular gameshow returns with a round of video game Guess Who. We're given supporting characters from some beloved video games, and asked to guess them using only 10 "yes or no" questions. Our gameshows usually go pretty well... And this is no different.
There's just time for a spot of tea before we talk about the games that have been occupying our consoles and computers this week, and Batman: Arkham Knight, The Witcher 3, Hearthstone, Samurai Gunn and Destiny are all on the tips of our tongues.
Our Batman: Arkham Knight discussion in particular seems to shed some light on a few glaring problems with the game, but has Gareth's year-old prediction of the game being terrible come true?! Only one way to find out... By listening to this week's Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's E3! We talk about Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo's press conferences and talk about all the biggest games!
Gears 4, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Halo 5, The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3, Starfox Zero, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cup Head, No Man's Sky, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Mass Effect, Dreams, Fallout 4, Mario Maker and lots more to shake a stick at!
Join us for a thorough combing through of E3 2015! You'll be glad you did.

E3 starts next week, and we round out our build up by talking about what Microsoft need to do at their E3 press conference to move more Xbox Ones and to keep their existing owners happy.
In this week's News we're talking about new Xbox One and PS4 designs hitting shelves; more announcements of stuff that'll be at E3, as well as stuff that won't; more on Dark Souls 3; Arkham Knight's install size; plus some game called Destiny is getting a big expansion soon? All of hat, plus your usual assortment of "more."
To round out our final episode before E3 we talk about The Witcher 3 some more, Heartstone, Velvet Sundown, Fallout: New Vegas, and whatever Don's been playing. Like it's a mystery or something.
This time next week we'll know all of E3's secrets. Video game Christmas is upon us! Rejoice!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Stop the presses, it could be the biggest piece of news that's ever occurred during the entire run of this podcast... We've reached episode 69! Oh, and some game called Fallout 4 got announced.
This week we're taking a look at Nintendo and what they need to do to impress and enthrall their fans at this year's press conference. Can they get non-Wii U owners clamouring to buy a Wii U, and if so, how exactly will they do that? We'll see if we can come up with an answer.
But before all that, we fill you full of the week's biggest gaming news stories and discuss Fallout 4, the Uncharted Trilogy: Remastered, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and the possibility of Dark Souls 3. As well as all that we've got news of Ubisoft's E3 line up; Arkham Knight's lack of load times; Fifa adding women's teams and Steam's new refund policy. Plus lots more! What a massive week for news!
Then finally, we talk about what we've been playing, which includes Rob's Witcher 3 backpeddling, Don's continued Destiny grinding, and Gareth's launch event attendence.
Phew, that's a lot to squeeze into a 69, and we manage to last well over an hour! A personal best, but my goodness are our jaws tired... from talking.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
E3 looms large over the world of gaming, casting its formidable shadow over us all like a lumbering Godzilla made of polygons. It's only a few weeks away, but we begin our preparations now.
First though, there's the week's news to get through, and there's enough to shake more than a few sticks at. Oculus have bought a company that will let them compete directly with Microsoft's Hololense; Need For Speed is poised to make a return; Resident Evil Zero is on its way to a console near you; and Halo 3: ODST is finally going to be making its way into the hands of poor owners of the Master Chief Collection. All of that plus fresh news on Darksiders 2, Iron Brigade, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and The Witcher 3. That should fill you up nicely.
The big 3 conferences at every E3 are Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony. We'll be taking a look back at last year's press conferences for the big three and see how they've fared in the year since and what they need to do to top or match their press conferences from last year. This week it's the turn of Sony who had a very impressive show last year. We'll talk about whether they've delivered on their promises, succeeded or failed, and what they could possibly say this year that will get us the most excited.
There'll be a spot more tea this week before we get on to what we've been playing, and then we'll talk about Octodad: Dadliest Catch, Destiny: House of Wolves and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Definitely 3 of the biggest releases of the week...
Well, not Octodad obviously, but if you're curious about how Destiny's House of Wolves expansion adds to the game, or whether The Witcher 3 is as good as the buzz suggests, then you've come to the right podcast!

Don's been to Italy, but don't worry, he won't mention it every 5 minutes or anything.
News this week features such stories as Rainbow Six: Siege's launch date and launch platforms; Lego: Jurassic World being released in the surprisingly near future; Divinity: Original Sin coming to consoles; Guillermo Del Toro's reaction to Silent Hills getting cancelled, and a shitload more! Including early trickles of E3 related news.
Don's return brings with it the return of a classic feature: Tea For Two. A small chat about charms of a bygone era, discussed in no more than the time it takes to gulp down a lovely, warm cuppa. Have your kettles at the ready.
Then in What Have We Been Playing, this week has been all about one game: The Witcher 3. Anyone who's anyone has been playing it, and that even extends to one of us simpletons on this very podcast. But is it living up to the hype for a certain podcast host? And there was a new Destiny expansion this week, which means we legally have to let Don talk about Destiny for a few weeks. See that up there, there's an 'X' in the top right corner of the page. Go for it. Nobody would blame you...
Yep, a few weeks worth of new Destiny talk from Don. May Shigeru Miyamoto have mercy on our souls.

Donald (Donovan? Donte? Doncan?) is still away on holiday so we call in Dave Ellery once again to help us deliver you the good word on all things gaming.
In News this week it's been all but confirmed that we'll be getting a juicy Fallout 4 trailer at E3; a trailer for the new London-based Assassin's Creed has hit; the Witcher 3 has done extremelt well on preorders; and we've gotten our hands on more details regarding Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. All this plus a raft of Nintendo news and even some squidgy boobs! News is the place to be.
In a first for the podcast, it's Gareth vs. Rob in a quest to be crowned "Best At Picking From 4 Available Answers." There can only be one winner: You, the audience.
Finally in What Have We Been Playing, we talk about State of Decay and an indie game for PC called A Story About My Uncle (guess which of us played that.)
Next week is the epic return of Don... So savour this episode while you can. Listen to it twice. Thrice. Four times a podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Don's away from the podcast for a few weeks, galavanting around the globe on his holidays, so we've brought back Dave Ellery to fill in! But will his gossip be as industry-shattering as Don's?...
In news this week we talk about the specifics of Arkham Knight's DLC slate; what the best selling game's in the UK have been this past few weeks; The Last Of Us: Left Behind getting its own seperate release; Oculus Rift's announced launch window; plus an off-the-cuff prediction from last week turned out to be 100% accurate! All that and absolutely LOADS more in this week's news.
And in What Have We Been Playing we talk about DMC Devil may Cry: Definitive Edition and Alien Isolation, as well as the past weekend's GFinity Starcraft 2 Championships at the GFinity Arena in London.
More informative, more well-versed, and more legitimate opinions about games than ever before... Just some of the many advantages of Don being on holiday! Come join us!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
According to Rob we're in a game drought right now, but somehow that hasn't stopped us putting out a full length, meaty podcast for you to enjoy!
In news this week we explore all the week's happenings, including stories about Just Cause 3, Valve's brief experiment of enabling paid mods for Skyrim, Silent Hills and its tragic cancellation, and Batman: Arkham Knight's silly Season Pass price. Those stories are just the tip of the iceberg though, it's a news section stuffed to bursting!
In our Feature this week we test the common theory that video game store employees don't know anything about games by ringing up various stores around England and seeing how they answer Rob's inquiries. How will the game store employees do? The answer may shock and disturb you!
Then we wrap it all up with a short, leisurely stroll through the valley of What Have We Been Playing!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
"I've got an army."
"We've got a podcast!"
We've been exposed to radiation, injected with super soldier syrum and built our own high-tec suit of armour because it's superhero week here on the podcast. To celebrate the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron we're devoting our feature this week to talking about the best superhero video games from over the years, on every generation of console.
News this week includes such hot scoops as Bethesda's potential E3 slate, whether you'll be able to beat Deus Ex: Mankind Divided without killing anyone and the studio that made Borderlands: The Pre Sequel closing down. That, plus maybe just a little bit more, if you're good.
Then this week Elder Scrolls Online has been played, but does it scratch that Elder Scrolls itch? And Did Don do his homework and actually play Wolfenstein: The New Order?! If he did, then he's the REAL superhero!
And will there be a secret clip at the end of the credits, like everthing else superhero related?!? Tune in to find out!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This weeks podcast is brought to you by spoons and unplanned feces! But how and why? You'll have to listen to find that out.
In news this week we cover everything, from the new Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk games which got announced/leaked this week, to the confirmation that Black Ops 3 will be out this year. Also in news, Mortal Kombat's DLC strategy is shitty, Xbox One receives a price cut, Star Wars Battlefront playable first on Xbox, Destiny's next DLC won't even have a Raid in it, and casting news for the upcoming GTA docu-drama! So much news!
In the feature this week we're greeted by somebody who sounds a little bit like Embarrassing Bodies' Dr. Christian to diagnose troubles with a handful of video games characters who have some rather humiliating ailments. Hopefully the good doctor can lend them a hand.
What Have We Been Playing this week, I hear you ask? Well if I were to tell you Wolfenstein: The New Order, Cities: Skylines, Fifa '15, Heroes of the Storm and even Destiny all got played this week! Yes, that's right, DESTINY! Can you imagine, a member of the podcast has been playing Destiny! Who could it be?! The suspense must be killing you. It's Don. It's always Don.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's an extra special show this week, as we interview Pawel Blaszczak, composer for Dying Light and Dead Island (amongst many others) and we roll out the blood-and-guts covered carpet for him with a zombie themed episode. We ask him what he thinks an actual zombie apocalypse would be like, how he gets his inspiration, and how the score to a video game comes together. It's fascinating stuff.
In this week's news we're talking about the Nintendo Direct that happened and all the news contained therein; OnLive closing down; Black Ops 3 getting teased by an unusual source, and how many discs GTA V on PC ship on. All that PLUS the results of this year's Classic FM Hall of Fame voting, and loads more. The news this week is fit to bursting! Not unlike a zombie gooey, squishable head.
Then in What Have We Been Playing we talk Heroes of the Storm, Majora's Mask, and Bloodborne, which is a hellish creepy world inhabited by undead creatures. Not unlike zombies, you might say!
Ears... EARS.... use your ears to listen to us... Your delicious ears...

It's that time of the week. The time where the Gamecentral Podcast comes out and you say to yourself "Didn't this used to come out on Thursdays?"
In News this week we talk about the continued disintegration of Hideo Kojima's legacy by Konami; hit on a few of the gaming world's April fools pranks; Nintendo's projected profits from going mobile; and, someone's bold prediction from all the way back in Episode 49 has come true! But who gets the gloating rights?
In our Feature, we take a look at a few recent releases and ask "Where Are They Now!?" pondering just where some of the biggest releases of the past 2 years have gone, before pondering exactly why these titles faded into obscurity so quickly.
In what Have We Been Playing, Bloodborne, Borderlands: The Pre Sequel and Fifa 15 get their days in the sun, before the clock strikes twelve on episode 60 of the Gamecentral Podcast.
For all you Walking Dead fans out there, stay behind after the end credits to hear a special one-off discussion of the latest series of the hit TV show, and, we are proud to announce our guest for next week's episode will be none other than Pawel Blaszczak, composer for Dying Light, Dead Island, the Witcher and more!
So many reasons to listen to the Gamecentral Podcast, you'd be a fool not to... an APRIL Fool, that is! Enjoy!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Recorded on a Thursday, posted on a Tuesday, and with many frustrating days of technical issues inbetween, episode 59 of the Gamecentral Podcast is finally here!
In this episode we cover news of Google competing directly with Twitch with Youtube: Live; confirmation of Arkham and God of War rereleases; massive day one patches for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection; A free multiplayer Halo exclusively for Russia and much more, so don't miss out on this (last) week's news!
Then in our feature we cast our minds back to obscure and flawed games that we thought showed some glimmer of promise, but never quite delivered, and we wonder how we could have made them better.
Then after a spot of (now very old) breaking news we talk about what we've been playing, including Fifa 2015, Forza Horizon 2, Borderlands: The Pre Sequel - Claptraps Fragtastic Voyage DLC, Batman: Arkham City, Destiny and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D.
When you play the Gamecentral of Thrones, you listen or you die... But that won't be a problem for you, because you're about to listen to the 301st best video game podcast on iTunes: The Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
We're here, on a Thursday(!), to tell you all about the week's biggest news in gaming. Whether you're interested in Nintendo's next console; Konami attempting to erase Hideo Kojima from existence; or even just when you get to play as a Goat on your Xbox, then we've got you covered.
Then in lieu of a feature this week, we're treating you to an episode's worth of tracks from Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. 3 of the best tracks from the official soundtrack for the game, as chosen by the podcast's self-appointed music guru, Gareth.
Then in What Have We Been Playing we go in depth with yet more Dying Light, Resident Evil 5 and Runescape; before letting Don inform us on the latest goings on in his full-time job: Playing Destiny.
So warm up your ear holes, close your eye holes, open your mouth hole and try to keep all your other holes under control, because it's time for another episode of the Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Technical difficulties meant that this week's episode is getting uploaded on a Sunday, but Thursday's loss is Sunday's gain, because a new episode of the Gamecentral Podcast has arrived!
We hit all the biggest news of the week, including who (unbelievably) won 'Best Game' at the gaming BAFTAs, as well as all the other major winners from the night; BBC Two's plans for a drama centred around the making of GTA; new Borderlands: The Pre Sequel DLC; DmC: Definitive Edition's reviews and whether it's worth picking up; and LOADS more news on top of all that! Almost too much.
In our feature this week, we're taking a look at the premise of "open worlds" in video games. The best, the worst, what a good open world can bring to a game, and the open worlds of the future and what they may bring.
Then in 'What Have We Been Playing' Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number and Dying Light are on the tips of our tongues, but will these 2 new releases keep us satisfied? What games does Don own but not play this week?!
Only one way to find out, welcome to the Gamecentral Sundaycast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
GDC is taking place in America this week, and as such the news has been rushing in. We have way more information about Valve and HTC's upcoming VR headset the 'Vive', including how long we have to wait to buy them; if you ever wanted to try your hand at making your own game there's never been a better time; graphics are about to take a huge leap forwards thanks to NVidia, and they're also going to be releasing their own console; plus a bundle of new game release dates for you to salivate over, as well as much more!
For our feature this week we take it back to the olden days of the podcast and focus on a game we all (hopefully) have nostalgia for and (hopefully) talk about how great it was. The game of choice this time is Clover Studios 2003 classic: Viewtiful Joe!
Then in What Have We Been Playing we've got new games on the brain! Rob talks Dying Light, Don talks Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, and Gareth talks Heroes of the Storm. For once, we're ACTUALLY on the forefront of gaming. Come join us on the forefront!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week in news we discuss the multiple attempts at Virtual Reality that are set to compete this year; how The Order: 1866 did in this week's sales charts; what the current (hopefully final) GTA V release date is for the PC and much more.
Then in our feature, we've managed to get a hold of some first-person testimony from real survivors (though obviously not actually real, come on now) of video game violence. Barry Scott will be your guide down this rabbit hole of tragedy and accents.
Then in What Have We Been Playing, Don embarks on a great journey, Gareth wages war and Rob... erm, pays off his mortgage. It's just another exciting week on the Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week's episode is a Saturday episode. Schedules conflicted; real life got in the way; and Don stops partying for nothing, but a late podcast is probably better than no podcast at all!
In the news this week, The Order: 1866 has been getting almost universally panned by critics and gamers alike; Peter Molyneux and his truth-bending ways have been under a lot of scrutiny; and Mass Effect 4 is confirmed as having some form of multiplayer. We discuss all that, plus Sonic Boom, Asteroids, Mortal Kombat X and much more!
Then in what have we been playing, Rob has been introduced to the 3rd dimension, as he explores the games available to him on his brand new 3DS; and Gareth delves into another Beta this week, but which one? Oh, and you can probably guess what Don has been playing this week (hint: It wasn't Majora's Mask).
Fortunately, unlike with your girlfriend, it's not the end of the world when we're two days late. Enjoy this week's podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
In a week where Katy Perry was confirmed as getting her own game, it seemed only appropriate that BAFTA also announce their nominees for the BAFTA game awards taking place next month. Which games got the most nods, and who made the cut for "Best Game"? Listen to find out.
We also talk about Bethesda getting their own E3 press conference; Resident Evil HD's sales figures; Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare equalling Fifa 15's chart record; and the possibility of Netflix producing a Legend of Zelda TV series... And how bad of an idea that is.
There's yet more Gareth vs. Don this week, and we finish up the podcast by talking about Crypt of the Necrodancer, the Battlefield: Hardline Beta, and more. And all for the low, low price of "FREE!" What a bargain!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
We're here as always to give you the low down on the past week in gaming. Whether it's letting you know when the Battlefield: Hardline Beta is out (hint: right now); or telling you how many Wii Us and Amiibos Nintendo has sold; or even the latest news on the Last Of Us Movie! All of that and more, including what Hideo Kojima wants from a Metal Gear Solid remake, and what ex-Bioshock lead Ken Levine will be doing next, in a packed news section.
Then, could it be? No, surely not... Gareth vs. Don?! What will happen when these two gaming juggernauts go head-to-head in a sick and twisted musical gauntlet of Rob's own creation?
Then, we talk about Alien: Isolation and Assassin's Creed: Unity and whether they're hitting the spot for Don and Rob. Oh, and we end the podcast with a 10 minute discussion of which is the best crisp. If you needed a reason to listen to the end, you just got it!
Bon appetite!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week we're looking forward. The lack of any big new titles only reminds us that there's still so much to come later this year, including Uncharted 4, Hotline Miami 2, Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, The Order: 1886, Rise of the Tomb Raider, No Man's Sky and LOADS MORE! We'll be talking about them all, and why we're either are, or aren't looking forward to them.
Ofcourse, no episode would be complete without the weeks latest news, so we've got you covered if you missed some of the biggest news stories of the week. Elder Scrolls Online is dropping its subscriptions fee, Borderlands 3 is ramping up production and Microsoft have invented viable hologram technology! That's just the tip of the iceberg for news though.
Did you know that 51 is the code for international direct dial phone calls to Peru? Well you do now. So don't say you never learned anything, from the Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week's Gamecentral Podcast is brought to you by the numbers "5" and "0", and the letter "A", for "Anniversary!" That's right, we're finally a year old, and wouldn't you know it, we've only gone and managed to secure an extra special guest to celebrate...
It's Mr. Biffo! Teletext and Digitiser legend Paul "Mr. Biffo" Rose has gone back to writing about video games with his site Digitiser2000.com and has joined us to talk about gaming's past, present and future. Not before he helps us tell you all about the week's biggest happenings in games though.
This week Rockstar have offered people compensation for pre-ordering GTA V on PC, but what have they offered? Which platforms will the Battlefield: Hardline Beta be released on? When is Majora's Mask, and the limited edition Majora's Mask 3DS XL coming out? What's happening with Club Nintendo?! DO YOU NEED TO EVEN BE CONSCIOUS TO REACH LEVEL 20 IN DESTINY?!? Believe it or not, every single one of these questions (and more!) will be answered.
As if all that weren't enough, we also discuss the word "brown", get more hot GOSSip from Don, and find out that apparently every game is just a random assortment of swords of varying sizes. It'll make sense if you listen to the podcast... Probably.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
We're one week away from our 1 year anniversary, and from our special guest, Digitiser writer Mr. Biffo appearing on the podcast! And be sure to listen until the end of the show for your opportunity to send in questions for Mr. Biffo and win prizes for doing it!
Elsewhere on the podcast, it's puns aplenty as Don and Gareth's names are both turned into what are sure to be popular, recurring segments. We cover the PSN/Xbox Live outages that occurred over Christmas; Banjo Kazooie's possible return; Awesome Games Done Quick's huge accomplishment for charity; and GTA V for the PC getting delayed, amongst a bunch of other news!
Then we make some bold predictions about 2015. New games, botched releases, new consoles?! What do we think is in store for us over the next 12 months? You'll have to listen to find out!
It's the final episode before we start our second year, we've got prizes to give away and all the gaming content you could possibly want, so enjoy!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
With 2014 in the rear view mirror there's just one bit of business left to attend to, we need to figure out what the best game of the last 12 months was. We are a podcast of individuals however, so naturally we each need to argue our case... In court!
We'll also count down the top 10 games of the year as voted for by the 'Gamecentral Lives!' Facebook Group and see how it measures to Gareth's own list making skills.
There will be revelations (did you know Don likes Destiny?!?) and compromises, as well as a rather large announcement regarding an incredibly special guest that will be coming on the podcast in the next few weeks.
What a way to start off the New Year! With the Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
So that's it, 2014 is in the can and all we can do now is look back on it with fondness and disdain in equal measure. With the aid of Gamecentral Podcast veteran Mr. Guy Whitlock, we take a month-by-month look at the last year in gaming and judge the kind of year it's been.
What parts were highlights, which parts were lowlights, and which parts were mehlights? Come and join Gareth, Rob, Don and GUY to find out! With, ofcourse, plenty of insulting Guy along the way. It's tradition!
And be sure to join us next week for our Game of the Year discussions! Consensus WILL be reached, or your money back!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's almost here! We're only one week away from Christmas (or, if you prefer, "Annual Catch Up On A Year's Worth Of Missed Gaming" week!) and the excitement is brewing for another delightful holiday season, but the Ghost of Christmas News is an ever-present spectre around this time of year, so there is still work to be done!
Want to hear about how Smash Bros. launch has affected Wii U sales? We've got you covered! Who's the most popular Amiibo? We'll tell you! Curious about Microsoft's upcoming game streaming service? So are we! All this and more, including a DmC: Devil May Cry remake, Nintendo partnering with Sony, Xbox One overtaking the PS4 in sales, and more, in this week's News!
As it's the festive season, we've decided to adapt a staple of holiday television for our little podcast, in the form of the classic "Christmas Top 100 [insert topic here]" list! Obviously we're not going to do 100 though, so we just run down the 5 things we miss most about gaming. They may not all be gone, but they definitely don't exist like they used to. Join us, reminisce, and also feel a little bit sad at these lost, former staples of gaming.
Then in What Have We Been Playing we discuss Destiny's 'Dark Below' DLC, The Wolf Among Us, Borderlands: The Pre Sequel, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls and more. Could it be that the year is almost over?! Unfortunately it is, but don't worry, we have a few surprises planned to help ease you into next year.
See you next week for the final podcast of 2014!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Stick a Zelda under the tree, for me...
The jingle bells continue this week as the holiday season creeps ever closer and the game releases are grinding to a halt. It's still been a busy week for news though, as we discuss The Game Awards 2014 and all the newest announcements that were made at the show (new Zelda footage anyone?!?). Then we go on to talk about new Uncharted 4 gameplay footage, Final Fantasy 7 on PS4, Street Fighter 5 exclusive to the PS4 and PC, Borderlands Online launching in China, Microsoft publishing Rise of the Tomb Raider and MORE!
We share your favourite Christmas gaming memories, as given to us on the 'Gamecentral Lives!' Facebook page, before we introduce our guest. Emran Erfan is a collector of everything Nintendo, so we ask him what the collector community is like; how digital sales and DLC are affecting his collection and what exactly is in his collection.
In What Have We Been Playing, we've got coverage of Destiny, The Wolf Among Us, Killzone: Mercenary and a few fun and cheap phone apps!
The audio is a tiny bit up and down this week, but fortunately nobody's to blame. Gareth. Gareth is to blame. Blame Gareth. (Sorry listeners!)
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
December's finally here! And we're Christmassing up the podcast appropriately, so look forward to lots of sleigh bells over the next few weeks!
In news this week we have lots to talk about, including the turbulent launch for Smash Bros. on the Wii U, the setting for the next Assassin's Creed game "Victory", Dark Souls 2 coming to PS4 and Xbox One and a whole host of other news!
In this week's feature we take a look back at our fondest Christmas memories, and those of you that let us know yours, we'll be featuring your Christmas memories on next week's episode.
Then in What Have We Been Playing Gareth's gotten his hands on Smash Bros. for the Wii U and a brand new, shiny console to play it on! Is it Game of the Year already? You'll have to listen to find out. GTA V, Destiny, Borderlands: The Pre Sequel, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Farcry 4 have also been played this week!
So if you want to hear talk of the latest releases, this is the only place to be!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's time once again for your fix of news and opinions from the world of video games. The reviews are coming in, and both Smash Bros. and Grand Theft Auto 5 have been doing the rounds, but how do they both hold up in the eyes of the video game world's toughest critics? We also cover more details on the future Majora's Mask 3DS remake; find out how popular the Evolve Big Alpha was; get teased with hints at a multiplayer mode in Just Cause 3; and did you know Goat Simulator is an MMO now?! All this and more in this week's News section.
In our feature this week we're talking about the state of new releases nowadays, and how it has become the norm to put out a broken game, and then to just fix it at a later date (a trend, surprisingly, none of us are too fond of!)
And finally, in What Have We Been Playing we cover Far Cry 4, Borderlands: The Pre Sequel, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, Mario Kart 8, GTA V on next-gen and, yes, even WWE Super Card! What a week! What a show! What a podcast!!!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's Halo week this week! With Halo: The Master Chief Collection out in stores, we take an episode to talk about the Xbox's favourite son, as we discuss what we thought of the game-changing franchise.
First though we have to talk about the week's news, and what a week it's been! We talk about the big announcements from Blizzcon last weekend; the new Majora's Mask 3D announced for 3DS; Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's amazing sales AND... Wait, no, that can't be right... Lego Jurassic Park?! You're god damn right!
Then in what have we been playing we're discussing Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and for some reason WWE Super Card. Mistakes were made.
It's the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything: The Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
The Three Gamigos (like Amigos but pronounced like GAME-me-goes... good stuff that) are back and we've plenty to talk about this week. We discuss the smaller Xbox One that's almost certainly in production; the Oculus Rift's sooner-than-expected launch; the potential advantages that playing GTA V in first-person mode might have and Smash Bros Wii U getting a new release date. Plus much more, but you already knew that.
For our 'Feature' this week we've managed to convince James "Hawkie" Lawrence to grace the podcast again, and despite Rob's best efforts to incite "beef" between James and Gareth, he still manages to fill us in on the finer points of the Evolved alpha that happened this past week.
Then in 'What Have We Been Playing' we talk about Don's love life (ofcourse) before moving on to Shadow of Mordor and Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2014 before Gareth and Rob talk about how and why the Call of Duty series has now turned into one of the freshest, most original gaming experiences on the market! Yeah, you read that right! So if you want to experience that conversation (and I think you do), there's only one place you're going to hear it: On this week's Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week, in the absence of Rob or Don, Gareth has reached out to members of the 'Gamecentral Lives!' Facebook page for help, and James "Hawkie" Lawrence and Chris Tomkinson answer the call.
It's news, news, news this week, so fasten your seat-belts... and maybe grab a Red Bull. The big news bits of the week include a release date and price for Destiny's first major expansion; Star Wars Battlefront's release date; Nintendo looking to make its first annual profit in four years; Mario Kart 8's Excitebike DLC; the best of this week's Super Smash Bros Nintendo Direct and much, MUCH more!
And if you're expecting a Feature and "What Have We Been Playing"... then, umm, sorry. The podcast was FARRRRRRRRRRRR too long with that stuff still in. There just aren't enough hours in the day. Whoah Nelly, seriously, ain't nobody got time for that!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
This week we bask in the failure of our live episode by doing what we do best: Abandoning failed ideas! Don't be expecting another live show from us for a little while, but do be expecting only the finest news stories in the world of gaming this week. From GTA: San Andreas coming to Xbox 360; to EA patching FIFA to make scoring goals easier, with even a little bit of Smash Bros news thrown in to round it all out.
In our feature this week we argue whether Indie games are good or bad, with Rob arguing for bad, and Don and Gareth arguing for the correct answer: Good. Then in this week's "What Have We Been Playing" we talk about a couple of new releases we've been playing in The Evil Within and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, somehow finding time to squeeze in a smidge of Destiny, Dynasty Warriors and Alien Breed.
It's not every podcast that can start with a fresh rap, and end with a graphic conversation about shemales, but then you're not listening to just any podcast, you're listening to the Gamecentral Podcast!

This week we were live for the first time ever! The pressure was on, and while there were certainly some hiccups, everything basically went perfectly. Ish.
Anyway, in news this week we found out about an absolute slew of release dates so it's our job to tell you all about them! There's been more news regarding the Wii U version of Smash Bros, The Evil Within reviews have been rolling in and what was voted the best console of all time by Amazon users? We'll fill you in!
Then in What Have We Been Playing we talk about Forza Horizon 2, Shadow of Mordor and the delights of this past weekend's Play Expo in Manchester.
Is this a new LIVE era for the podcast?! Almost certainly not, but join us and find out for yourself how this grand experiment all worked out!

We're back after missing a week with 2 weeks of news! Smash Bros news abounds and there have been more updates to Destiny than you can shake a stick at, so join us for the past fortnight in gaming.
In what we've been playing Rob tells us about Forza Horizon 2 and whether Shadow of Mordor lives up to the incredible hype. And can you guess what Don has been doing with his week? No. No is the answer. Never in a million years.
We're back! Welcome to another Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Guy's back! He finally stopped gallivanting around the world for long enough to come talk to us about Destiny and to offer up some much needed romance advice for all you listeners out there.
First though, we need to talk about the news. The Golden Joystick nominees for the year have been announced; Titan has been cancelled; and just how did Destiny's launch affect console sales? Find out before being subjected to the man, the myth, the legend that is...
Guy Whitlock!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Destiny has been out for a week and everybody and their mother has played it, including Don and Gareth! 2 members of the podcast playing a newly released game at the same time?! It's the first time it's happened and we'll be taking full advantage of the situation.
But first in the news section we have to talk about Microsoft buying Minecraft, GTA V PS4, Xbox One and PC release dates and more. Don and Gareth have a Head-To-Head Deathmatch Grudge over some of the finer points of Destiny before we move on to what we've been playing.
Rob has been "playing" Tinder and has a lot to say about it. A LOT. Like 15 minutes worth. We don't know how he does it! Then it's the main event, Gareth and Don discussing Destiny in-depth. Have you played Destiny and want to hear a detailed, thought-provoking conversation about the game? We certainly hope so!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's no surprise that this week is Destiny week, but before we got onto that we have to talk about Microsoft supposedly buying Minecraft creator 'Mojang'; a whole slew of new release dates; and Amiibo prices.
We try to fuse multiple games together to create new ones (and fail miserably) before we talk about what we've been playing. It turns out Don bought himself a PS4 this week, and has been playing it to death, so expect a lot of talk from Don about the latest and greatest... Including maybe, just maybe... Destiny?!
We also go in-depth on Minecraft and we even find time to have a good laugh at Guy Whitlock's expense. We're cramming it all in this week!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Against all odds we've managed to cobble together a packed show for you today! We discuss a whole heap of GTA V news; a new 3DS got announced; Some good news for Wii U owners; Mario Kart DLC is on the way; and were those Smash Bros leaks from last week genuine?! Find out in the news section!
The gameshow is back this week, and it's back with a vengeance! But which classic British gameshow are we adapting for the podcast this week? Tune in to find out!
Then finally in what we've been playing we dish the dirt on Crypt of the Necrodancer, more Mario Kart 8, iPad games and even more on top of that. MORE!
If you like gaming, and enjoy being entertained (like a normal person) then we're here for you. Slap those earphones in, go for an extra long bathroom break, and lose yourself to the dulcit tones of Gareth, Rob and Don.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
We manage to dig up a surprising amount of news this week, including Amazon buying Twitch out from under Google's nose; Super Smash Bros details getting leaked; and even a Pokemon fighting game made by the team behind Tekken! All that and much more in this week's news.
Then we discuss what we've been playing this week. Guild Wars 2, Trials, and Borderlands 2 for Vita get talked about before Gareth and Don have an argument about Tomb Raider... And then another one about Mario Kart 8.
Plus, don't miss this week's music section for a taste of the latest soundtrack from Super Meat Boy composer Danny Baranowsky. It's a winner of an episode! So come join us, won't you?
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Technology and schedules were kind to us so we're finally back to full force this week, and we welcome new full-time host and Gamecentral favourite Don Goss! In news we recap last week's Gamescom announcements and our favourites games that were there; we talk about the increasing complications of Sony's upcoming Shareplay feature, as well as the Flappy Bird creator's new game, World of Warcraft and more.
Then we've been tasked with a special ops mission to recover one of own who's gone off the grid. Paul Lynn hasn't been seen since his last appearance on the podcast, but where in the world is he?! Join us as we endeavour to find out.
Then to round out a nice long episode we discuss the trouble with the PSVita; just how terrifying the first ever 'Playable Trailer' is, and the trouble with Max Payne 3, with even more on top of that.
Join Gareth, Rob, Don and maybe even Paul Lynn (if we can find him) for over 2 hours of gaming talk for your listening enjoyment!

In a tragic turn of events this week, a computer crash meant we lost episode 31 of the podcast. Not willing to admit total defeat though, I (Gareth) have produced a little mini-podcast that should sum up the week's going on while still providing you with a bit of great video game music and opinions.
We apologise for the short episode this week, but these kind of technical problems can't be helped. We'll be back next week, determined to compensate you with a bumper episode, but for now, hopefully this is enough to keep you going.
Thanks for your understanding, podcast fans!

It's a last minute, two man, low key episode this week, so join us for a morning edition of the Gamecentral Podcast!
No Man's Sky is confirmed for PC, the people at Twitch are being dicks and the Gamecube remake of the original Resident Evil is coming to current gen platforms so we've got plenty to chew on in this week's news segment. Our "What Have We Been Playing" section is shorter this week (as there's one less of us) but we've still been hammering away at a few titles, including Rogue Legacy, Injustice: Gods Among Us and Grand Theft Auto 5.
Get your toast on; your eggs boiling; your butter softening; and join us for breakfast. The Gamecentral Podcast: The best way to start your day!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
Guy Whitlock is unavailable (again) this week so Don Goss has graciously offered to lend us his time and vocal chords for the week, bless him.
This week in news we talk about EA's new subscription service, some news about The Last Of Us movie and what games are free for Playstation owners this month; before discussing our favourite collector's editions we've ever actually shelled out our money on.
Then it's on to the hottest topic of the week: Destiny. We've all played the beta but who loved it, and who hated it? To be honest you can probably guess, but unless you listen to the podcast for yourself you'll never actually be 100% sure, will you? WILL YOU?!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
We're back to being a gleesome threesome this week as we fight off the fictitious hangover from last week's 6-month anniversary. The party may be over, but the show must go on so we're back to business as usual. We dish up the news from the week including some Last Of Us news, the new DOOM and the Halo composer's nice payout.
In light of the newest Killzone DLC involving you paying money for your character to fart, we ruminate on our favourite pieces of DLC and whether the concept in general is a necessary one or not, before we talk about what we've been playing (and no promises, but Destiny may come up!)
What is Guy Whitlock's cereal of choice? What is rob Walker's cereal of choice?!? This is the week you find out! Can you handle the truth?...
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
We put the six-month anniversary back a week, which means THIS week is the time to celebrate! It's party time so we're bumping everything up a notch!
We have the news, as usual, and this week we cover such stories as Doctor Who ripping off Mass Effect characters; Tekken 7 getting announced; the announcement of 3 more Smash Bros. fighters. and even more to talk about on top of that. Then, this week's gameshow really is something quite special, so you definitely don't want to miss it!
It's our first major anniversary, so join us for a historic occasion! May it be the first of many!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
Guy has apparently fallen off the face of the Earth this week, making all of our 6-month anniversary plans come grinding to a halt, but luckily the ever faithful Don Goss is on hand to take up the coveted third seat.
We talk about the news in gaming this week including Cliffy B's newest project, the upcoming Sharknado "video game" and the day-one DLC for Alien: Isolation; before focusing on the more positive aspects of gaming that often get lost in all the talk of gaming addiction and its influence over people.
Then finally it's a bumper edition of what we've been playing as our guest Don ACTUALLY PLAYS video games! This could be a first for the Gamecentral Podcast, so you don't want to miss it!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
This week's show is packed with video game talk, whether we're discussing the plethora of news that occurred throughout the week; talking about the biggest franchises of the past generation and whether they evolved, revolved or devolved; telling you what we played this week; or even playing a game ourselves live in Gareth Vs Guy, we aim to keep you entertained by giving you what you want: 3 guys, talking about video games, and occasionally making a delightful pun.
It's a long one this week, so please make sure to ration out your food and water accordingly, you may be here for some time...
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
It's podcast time! It's been another slow week for games with no massive news, and no new releases but we still keep you filled in with what's been going on with news on Arkham Knight's release date, N64 games on the Wii U and various sales on at the moment. As no big new games have been out this week we decide to get all nostalgic and recount our first gaming memories, and we also appeal to members of the community for their experiences.
We've got your weekly video game music, plenty of game talk and we announce the winner of our Watch_Dogs competition. What more could you ask for!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
We're finally out of E3, but the post-show lull is definitely in full effect. We try to find the scraps of news in E3's wake, then we get Guy's thoughts on the bigger announcements of the show before touching on the Battlefield: Hardline Beta and ofcourse the World Cup.
To enter this week's competition to win an Xbox One copy of Watch_Dogs just do the following steps:
1) Go to our iTunes page and WRITE us a review. Preferably a 5-star one!
2) Email me at GaZZuM@GameBanter.co.uk and tell me the iTunes username you wrote the review with.
3) Listen to next week's podcast and see if you win!
We'll pick a winner at random from the ones we receive, and if you've already written a review in the past, just let me know and your entry will count.
Help ward off the post-E3 blues by listening to us talk crap for an hour. You know you want to!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
It's the most exciting week of the year, so we throw out all of our usual segments and devote the whole show to what's going on at E3! We discuss the big 3 press conferences as well as announce the winner of our Watch_Dogs Twitter competition, and we have a couple of voicemails from a few special 'Gamecentral Lives!' guests!
So recline your chair back, take a sip of your fresh coffee and press play on that MP3 player, it's Gamecentral time!

It's the last episode before E3 and the news and rumours are flowing! So join us as we give all the week's news a once-over. It's The Price Is Right in Gareth Vs. Guy and then Rob talks us through Watch_Dogs when we find out what we've been playing.
And finally, we announce a competition with a big prize! So come in, take off your shoes and make yourself comfortable... Whoah, whoah, whoah! Not THAT comfortable! Pants back on!

In this episode of Light, Banter, Action! we're reviewing the new X-Men film from director Brian Singer. Can it improve upon the original X-Men trilogy that is generally looked back upon with little fondness, or can it recapture the magic that had so many fawning over X-Men: First Class back in 2011? Join Gareth and Don Goss to find out.
As usual, the first half of the review will be entirely spoilerless, but stick around if you've already seen the film to hear the in-depth, spoiler-filled discussion. Oh, and feel free to join in the discussion via Twitter (@Gamebanter), email (Gazzum@GameBanter.co.uk) or the comments section.

We've hit a pretty big milestone this week as we manage to break 20 episodes, and in celebration it's our biggest episode ever! It's our longest ever episode and we've crammed it full with entertainment for your listening pleasure. We talk Half Life 3; a brand new Battlefield and Lego Batman 3, followed by another captivating Gareth Vs Guy and rounded off with what we've been playing.
League of Legends, the Playstation 4 launch line-up and Wolfenstein are all discussed and yes, we even have some Watch_Dogs first impressions from Rob, who got the game at launch. It's without doubt our largest ever episode, so prepare your ear holes for a pounding!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
It's the first ever episode of our bonus podcast devoted to only the biggest film releases. The biggest hit at the box office this week was Godzilla, and we're here to let you know if it's worth your time and money. Gareth is joined by regular Gamecentral Podcast guest Don Goss to review one of the summer's most anticipated movies, but does it live up to the hype?
Afterwards, Gareth and Don go into spoilers and talk specifics, so if you've already seen the film be sure to stick around, and feel free to join in the discussion via Twitter (@Gamebanter), email (Gazzum@GameBanter.co.uk) or the comments section.

We're at that point in the year where it's finally time to start getting excited about E3! We've got press conference rumours and our earliest E3 memories to discuss, as well as Microsoft's change of Xbox Live and Kinect policies, and of course, gaaaaaaames!
We may be Guy-less this week, and we know it's a long shot without him, but we'd love it if you'd listen anyway!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
Guy won't be on the podcast next week, so we're warming up his replacement as we invite David Ellery to help us out. As there are 4 of us there's no Gareth vs Guy this week but fret ye not! As we still have all your week's gaming news. Throughout the show we discuss Nintendo's views on homosexuality, what we think EA may have up their sleeve for E3 and how we feel about the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailer. If it's specifics that you're after, then we've got talk about South Park: The Stick of Truth, Everybody's Golf, Titanfall and more!

Hearthstone, South Park and the future of Call of Duty all get talked about this week, as well as some new games hitting our consoles soon and the results of the Classic FM Hall Of Fame. Oh, and don't worry, we wouldn't forget about Gareth Versus Guy!
Try to contain your excitement!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
It was a slow news week this week, but we still find a way to fill the time by discussing serious topics like pre-teen pregnancy, being the parent of a video gaming child and even job loss!
It's also the triumphant return of 'Gareth Vs. Guy' this week, and Dark Souls 2, Mario Kart, Killer Is Dead and Star Wars: The Old Republic all get talked about among other games, so if you're looking to be informed, enlightened and, dare we say, entertained then you've come to the right podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
13 definitely isn't unlucky for us, because while Rob's away this week, it perfectly lined up with a fresh wave of Super Smash Bros news!
We call in Rory 'Rodders' Sherwood and Don Goss to help fill the void and discuss The Last Of Us on PS4, a new Borderlands and, ofcourse, more Super Smash Bros than you can shake a Star Rod at!
Come join us, won't you?
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
Guy may be in a hurry, but we still go as deep as we can on the week's biggest topics. The Last Of Us, Oculus Rift, a new head of gaming at Microsoft AND Super Smash Bros. news happened this week, so there's a lot to talk about! And then, for the first time, it's "Gareth vs. Guy" in a ruthless quiz show grudge match. There can only be one victor, and it probably won't be Guy.
All that and much more, this week!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)

(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
We're into double figures with this week's episode, and to celebrate we do absolutely nothing out of the ordinary! No retro game this week though, as our guest Don Goss popped down to a BAFTA event last week and got to play some hotly anticipated titles ahead of release.
Infamous: Second Son, Earth Defence Force 2025, Pokemon: Link Battle, Japan, Batmobile arcade games and more, only on this week's heart-pounding, pulse-racing, uneven-number-of-testicles episode of the Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
Guy's having a ball this week, as it's our South Park themed episode!
That's right, South Park: The Stick Of Truth is finally out and we discuss it in various ways throughout the podcast. As a one-off we discuss the ending to Bioshock: Infinite and all our usual segments return, including the Retro Game of the Week, which this week was Streets of Rage 2.
All of this as well as Titanfall, the Last Of Us movie, Diablo 3, Playstation Plus vs Xbox Live, AND the result of last week's bet: Will Guy have to eat his own testicle live on air?!?
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
Our special guest this week is long time member of the community and GC veteran, Rory 'Rodders' Sherwood. He joins us as we discuss Majora's Mask and what we've been playing this week.
But before that, we've got big news to talk about: A new Batman game has been announced! Dishonored 2 has been leaked! Real life Master Swords have been wielded! It's all kicking off this week here on the Gamecentral Podcast!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)

Punisher for the PS2 is our retro game of the week, and Rob is on board to answer all of our questions about the game, questions like "What is this game?" and "Uhh, what?" will be answered with the appropriate amount of knowledge and gusto that you've come to expect.
Also, did Guy play any games this week? Place your bets NOW!
And go and vote in the Classic FM: Hall of Fame! Closing date is 28th of February, so get a move on!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
We forgo the retro game this week as we've got more than enough to talk about!
We talk about Irrational Games shutting down, Doom making a return and indulge ourselves with a bit of Nintendo talk. Our guest this week runs a successful independent video game shop, so naturally, we grill him a good grilling.
(Our apologies about the sound quality, but unfortunately we don't control the internet... Yet)
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
It's a Valentines Day special this week! So we've got an interview with a female cosplayer. (and former world record holder!)
Unfortunately, we're all ill this week, so mind the sniffles and listen to us talk about Sonic, Flappy Bird and more, before hearing the desperate longings of some of your favourite video games characters. As usual, we try to stick to the subject of games, but we make no promises!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
In amongst the chaos, you can almost hear voices discussing Nintendo's new fitness strategy, EVE Online's biggest ever space battle and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes' 2 hour run time, before Rob challenges you to guess which game he's reading the back of the box of.
Things take a downward turn when we have our first ever (slightly drunk) guest on the podcast (Paul Lynn) and we spend the rest of the podcast, in theory, discussing Crash Bandicoot and talking about what we've played this week. What actually happens though, is very little talk of video games, and a lot of talking about random bullshit. Enjoy!
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
We're really starting to hit our stride this week as we discuss the future of the Gears of War franchise, why nobody cares that the PS Vita is now cheap as chips, and then we reminisce about the classic that is: Resident Evil 2.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
This week, Guy, Rob and I are discussing Nintendo's supposed money troubles and Microsoft's supposed dirty dealings, before we supposedly talk about the supposed classic that is Half Life 2 (except it definitely is a classic, obviously).
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
In the first ever episode, Rob, Guy and I recount our favourite games of 2013 and take to the Facebook group to see what the other members thought, before finishing up with what we're looking forward to in 2014.
(Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen to it in your browser)
