This a track taken from Vincents latest album 'A Place Called Home'. This track describes a very peculiar thing from the past: In the old soviet times, western music wasn't widely available, so people pirated it by copying the vinyl grooves to used x-ray sheets. So thats what you got: A floppy disc that spun the bones all around. If you want to know more about it, it's often referred to as Bone Music (see link below).
I love this whole story. Reminds me of the few years that I got to experience the GDR, where we already had tapes and also american radio stations just over the wall. Still, people got inventive back then and resilient, some skills that unfortunately became very relevant again very suddenly...
This remix turned out rather well, it's more a thing that happened, than something I made. Those arpeggiators pretty soon reminded me of old Animal Collective tracks, so I tried to lean a bit into this style, which gives the whole affair a nice little spin: AC often referred to the Beach Boys as a major influence, while Vincent in his lyrics quite explicitly refers to The Beatles. So, yeah, bold names for a fun little track, I know. But I had a lot of fun with this one and I love the result!

I met Alex from Her Tree at a Friedberg - Concert, where she did a really nice accoustic support show. After the concert, she suddenly stood right in front of me and regrettably my reflexes kicked in: I asked, if she liked a remix. Being the polite and kind person she obviously is, she said yes. This is what I came up with. Please listen to her music. There is a new Album coming up in May. She released some singles. It's great stuff and I am glad, I got the chance to kind of work with her. Thanks!

I made this remix a couple of years ago after meeting Patrick from lilabungalow at a living room concert, which was a truly weird but inspiring performance. Really if you have the chance, visit one of his one man shows, it's amazing. This year lilabungalow released a new and amazing album called Lichten (https://soundcloud.com/lilabungalow/sets/lichten). That release made me revisit that old remix, give it a little rework and release it again. There it is.

If you listen closely to the original (https://soundcloud.com/sukie-music/action-reaction), you'll find a perfect sample right at the end of the track. If she'd released that track back in the day, that would certainly have become a hook in a 90s hip hop track or the vocal in a trip hop downbeat from Bristol. With that in mind I played a bit around and made a loop.
Well, I liked that loop a lot and so I cheated a bit and aquired some more vocals from the original and made it a proper remix. I hope you like it too.
Please have go over to Sukies channel and listen to her new EP, it's beautiful! https://soundcloud.com/sukie-music/sets/love-and-impatience-1
I made this as part of a really nice Remix Competition over at MetaPop.com which I obviously did not win. But I really love the band and you don't often get the chance to kind of work together with your favourite musicians, so I had to try and I fairly like the result. Hope you do too.

Please head over to their channel (https://soundcloud.com/clockopera) or buy/stream all their music on whereever you listen to music. They are fantastic.

This song is about a tragic and traumatic encounter between a dog and towel after one particular rainy afternoon walk. Almost every sound you hear in this track is made from the lamentation of the very dog depicted on the cover. She is a cute one, also a very skilled singer, as you can hear.
Also, happy holidays to all of you and thanks for a great year 2019!

My take on Starfrosch' deep chill disco track called Kalte Ohren. I am not used to listen to free music, actually. But when I do, I rarely find such well produced tracks in that field. Obviously my remix can't hold up to the original. But well, that's part of the creative process and still, I like that little bassline I came up with towards the end.
Please listen the original track, watch that beautiful video, get the whole album and check out all the free music, Starfrosch is digging up on their website!

Vincent Teetsov is an American musician who seems to live in Toronto right now. I would describe him as a singer/songwriter with some blues and indie folk influences, I gues. I am bad at categorizing music, sorry. Anyway, his latest album is called 'Roar In The Garbage Can' (which is an awesome title!) and if you like this kind of music, you should probably check it out. It's free.
I chose the very last song of said album for a remix and tried to give 'For The Days' a completely different vibe. I like the very uplifting message and mood created by the lyrics, so I had to give it a fitting groove. Hope you like it!
