A defensive touchdown overruled, a dropped interception, a missed wide open receiver downfield for a would-be TD, two missed field goals. Many of the ways the Bills could have should have beaten the Browns, but failed and lost 19-16 to drop to 6-3. I talk about all of that, but also one of the greatest goalline stands you'll ever see, Levi Wallace's and Stephen Hauschka's struggles, and the maddening end-of-game sequence that was the cause for a lot of frusration for Bills fans afterward.
The Bills moved to 6-2 for the first time since 1993, their last Super Bowl season, after a 24-9 win over the Washington Redskins. Devin Singletary took over the lead role in the Bills' backfield for the first time, the offense put togerher a terrific first drive, and the team never looked back. It wasn't without it's tough moments, including an inability to stop veteran running back Adrian Peterson early on. Hear my thoughts on all of that and more.
The Bills suffered their worst loss of the season in week 8 at home against the Eagles, losing 31-13 and dropping to 5-2 on the season. Eagles running back Miles Sanders had the long touchdown run to break the game open, but there were several other key plays and moments that stood out and made a difference, including a critical three-minute span to end the first half and begin the second, which saw the Bills go from leading to trailing by ten points. The 4-1 Bills beat the winless (0-5) Miami Dolphins, 31-21, but it certainly wasn't easy and even got a bit scary for a while, especially when they trailed 14-9 late in the third quarter and the Dolphins had a first and goal from the Bills' 2-yard line. But that's when everything changed not only in the game, but maybe even for the Bills' entire season. Tre'Davious White made his true arrival on the national stage, and Micah Hyde had a play to remember to seal the win. Here are my observations and thoughts from the game, including a Dolphins' fan friend who experienced a game at New Era Field for the first time. I also tell you why Buffalo is one of the best cities to live in the country if you're looking for day trips to make.

In late summer 2009, Amilcar Hill (known in Buffalo as DJ Milk) and his now-wife Rahwa Ghirmatzion, experienced the tragedy and heartbreak no parent ever should. Their 7-year old son Asa was killed in a car accident on the New York State Thruway near downtown Buffalo. Hill’s father was driving the vehicle, and his 7-year old little brother was also in the car. Both survived. It was the incredible outpouring of love and support from the Western New York community, Hill says, that allowed his family to cope with the emotional loss. Now, eight years later, Hill, his wife, and their 4-year old son Solace are an indelible part of the WNY community. DJ Milk can be seen - and heard - at local clubs, on TV shows, and spinning tunes for fans at Buffalo Sabres and Bandits games. This year, he will be playing all the pre-game music inside New Era Field right at the 50-yard line getting Bills fans ready for every game. This is the story of his life, Asa’s life, and the love of the community DJ Milk adores.
The inaugural episode. In February 2011, Joseph Lozito was the intended fifth victim of Maksim Gelman, who had already killed four people over a 28-hour killing spree in New York City, stabbing three of them to death. Lozito, after being stabbed in the face, neck, hands, back, and arms fought off Gelman and took him down, almost losing his own life in the process. Lozito later found out there were two cops on that same train and did nothing to help until he had subdued Gelman. He sued for negligence. This is the amazing, uncut, full story as told by Lozito himself.
