Andrew has been working tirelessly to help animals in need right around Waterford for many years now, and he tells Ollie and Mary that he's busier than ever. He was recently contacted about baby hedgehogs (hoglets! Cute!) who he transported to Hedgehog Rescue Ireland, based in Dublin.
The renowned singer/songwriter will perform with Mount Sion choir at Mahon Falls on July 12th, as part of the Comeraghs Wild Festival which runs from July 11th to 14th. Don chatted to Mary ahead of it.
Dorian, who's originally from Sussex but has been living in Fiddown for many years, has been passionate about writing since he was a teenager. Having lived a colourful life which included studying at Oxford in later years, he's published his first novel, "The Wild Geese and North East Wind."
This is the second year of the fundraiser for local housing charity Tinteán. It involves a historical walking tour of Waterford, with stop offs at restaurants at points around the City, finishing in a bar. The event happens over four Wednesdays in July and August and you're brought to different places each time. Tinteán manager Claire O'Sullivan spoke to Mary.
Joxer Daly was originally a character from the Seán O'Casey play "Juno and the Paycock," and he's been brought back to life by Eddie Naughton in the play "Joxer Daly Esq." This one man show will be at Theatre Royal on July 4th and 5th, and will return again from July 18th to the 25th. Phelim Drew plays Joxer in this one-person play and he spoke to Mary
