My Prayer Journal: Recent Episodes

Writing to God is the most intimate part of my prayer routine. I started doing this during a season in my life when I couldn't utter a word of prayer. I picked up a pen and wrote my gut wrenching plea to God, begging him to save me! AND HE DID! Writing to God became a frequent habit when I joined River Dwellers. God literally write back to me! He draws my attention to the right verse in the Bible, at the right time, and for the very thing pressing on my heart! I Wish to share my prayers with you and hope that you will be blessed by then! God Reads my Journal!
Praying that God will remove anything that stands in your way from attending the Release the Roar retreat. In Jesus name! AMEN!
The only good thing in me is Jesus! It took years for me to learn that. I had to go through shame, rejection, emotional pain, and heartaches to learn that I could not trust my own heat! Like David, I began to pray and asked the Lord to search my heart, daily! God knows me best and He has a purpose for me, but first my heart must be aligned to his heart's desire.
Here is reassurance from the word of God for you this morning. Have you made the Lord your shelter? Then fear not! "Because she loves me...", says the Lord, "I will protect her..."
Give purpose to your pain. Did you know that God waste nothing?! In his sovereignty, he has already worked out your worst season to bear fruit! David's cave experience made him a sensible king. It was in the cave that he learned that God's love is everlasting! In my darkest season, I learned that God's love for me never ceased! He came into my cave and comforted me. Now, he is using me to bring others out of their caves. Your toughest season has a purpose! Ask God for opportunities to reap a harvest out of those dry season!
God has given you all you'll need to deal with whatever it is that need to be dealt with. If the skills, talents, and special traits he has placed in you are not able to influence your current situation, fear not! Take that thing; whatever it is and give it back to God by faith! The word of God says: "do not be anxious about anything but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
If only you knew how special you are! Did you know that there is something in you that can bring God glory like no other person can? The Bible says that God formed a thought about you, and then made you! I believe God and the angels high-five each other after He made you! He declared that YOU ARE GOOD! Take that truth and run with it! You are valuable!
I was sitting in my car during my lunch break April 12, 2012. I became aware that the presence of God was in my car! I was having one of those day! You know the one where you throw a pity party for yourself, and cry about how you're the only one going through this? No one can relate! Well, I screamed from the top of my lungs, begging God to help me! I thought I was losing my mind, then a peace came over me. I can't explain it, but I knew I was not alone in the car! God himself came to calm my nerves! In a parking lot...in my car! He is REAL!
This is dated March 29, 2012. My son came to me after I scolded him for something that happened at school. I confess, I wasn't gracious in my dealing with him and I felt bad. Later that day he sought me out, as young as he was, he understood forgiveness. He hugged me, and said that he loved me and that he was sorry. At that moment, I was no longer upset with him. All I could see was a little boy we needed love, guidance, and the assurance that his mama loves him even when he messes up.

This prayer is dated in my Journal May 1st, 2019. I wrote it after reading my journal entry dated 5-27-12. I love going back pages after pages to see how faithful and good God has been to me!
