Together, we will be reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. I know that some of you have read this before, but I encourage you to tune in because there is always more to learn about this magical world J.K. Rowling created. No spoilers please!

In attempts to help Hagrid, Harry and Hermione found themselves in trouble. Their punishment: going into the dangerous Forbidden Forest at night with Hagrid.
Harry plays in the Quidditch game. After the game, Ron, Hermione, and Harry stumble upon some information that helps them figure out what Fluffy, the three-headed dog, is guarding.
Harry tests out his new invisibility cloak. What will happen? Where will he go? Will he get caught?
Harry has his first Quidditch match! He finally learns what it feels like to play the game. After the game, he finds himself learning more about the school from a secret name that Hagrid had accidentally let out.
Harry begins training for Quidditch and Hogwarts is really starting to feel like home. He and Hermione become good friends after a sticky and smelly encounter with a troll. From one adventure to the next, we see that Harry continues to be someone who is brave. However, he doesn’t always think through all of his decisions. This can get him into some serious trouble.
Harry finds himself in a few mini-adventures. He seems to always do whatever he thinks is right, regardless of if the rules allow it.
The first years have finally been sorted into their houses. Harry and Ron start learning their way around the school and make observations about their new classes.
Harry Potter finally arrived to Hogwarts with all of the other first-year students. Questions swarmed their minds: What would it be like? How would they be sorted into the houses? Were they ready?
Harry enters Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. Everything is new and interesting to Harry. Just as the train leaves the station, Harry leaves his whole life behind to start school at Hogwarts.
Harry finished up his school shopping with Hagrid and was back to living with the Dursley’s. The anticipation building, Harry prepares for the start of his school year.
In this episode, we learn more about the magical world that exists below London. We follow along as Harry goes to the bank and gets fitted for robes. We see elements of our world in the setting, but are now exposed to bits of magic.
We learn more about the world of witchcraft and wizardry alongside Harry. Hagrid tries to manage his way around the “muggle world,” while Harry still can’t believe that there’s another world out there.
Harry finally receives his letter and learns far more than he ever imagined. Alongside Harry, we learn about him and his past.
We learn about Harry’s bizarre trip to the zoo with the Dursley’s. Harry leaves feeling alone. His feelings amplify when the Dursley’s do not allow him to read a letter that is addressed to Harry....
We finish off chapter 1 learning about Harry Potter, a famous baby, getting dropped off to live with the Dursley’s. This means that Harry Potter won’t know that he is famous until the Dursley’s decide to tell him. In chapter 2, we start to see what Harry’s life looks like living with the Dursley’s... and it doesn’t look great.
