Founder of Funk Bunker Music and YEGDNB, DJ Dreadnought has been at the forefront of Western Canada’s Drum and Bass scene for over 15 years. With an unmatched energy and passion for music, he has headlined shows across North America, Australia and Asia including appearances at Shambhala Music Festival, Thailand’s Full Moon Party, Wubs in the Woods, Valhalla (Quebec) and Astral Harvest. With releases on Dutty Bass Audio and Ten Tons UK, DJ Dreadnought continues to push forward with his trademark big energy sound. DJ Dreadnought also broadcasts his weekly show Turbo Tuesdays on Twitch and Selecta FM - spinning the full spectrum of DnB , jungle, breaks and bass.

Happy equinox! The transition from summer to autumn is a powerful time of transformation, change, opportunity and growth. A time to reflect back on the beautiful memories of summer and look forward to our intentions and goals for the year ahead. Today I’m so happy to announce the release of my latest track - Working. I wanted to capture the magic of moments like these. The ecstatic feeling of finishing a hard days work. The beauty of getting that unusually warm fall day. Finishing the project that you’ve been grinding on forever. Catching up with an old friend that you haven’t seen in far too long. I’m not known for writing ’feel good’ music, but if you’re in the mood for a warm DnB hug that makes you say “oh yeah” 🥰 check it!
DJ Dreadnought's latest drop is a dirty, low rolling monster featuring the vocal talents of MC DSnow – his first MC collaborator from back ito the beginning of his DnB journey.
In the early 2000's DJ Dreadnought and DSnow were an unstoppable force, smashing up many a dance, festival and radio appearance. After spending time on their own respective music projects, these two artists were finally able to collaborate on their first — and certanly not last — drum and bass track.
Written during the height of the pandemic lockdown Blue Goo was an outlet to express the melancholy emotions that most of us were feeling. Isolation, frustration, separation, anger... and turned that energy into a fierce drum and bass track.
With a massive bassline, perfect samples, huge synths and big DJ Dreadnought energy... this one is an absolute stomper!
You fell the chill in your bones - you're tired... raving, dancing and been soaking up every moment for 3 days. You dont want the party to end and the DJ is keeping you glued to the dancefloor. You dont know how much longer you can keep going... and then that first ray of sunlight rises over the horizon giving you an second wind. Next thing you know, you find yourself bathed in the high energy waves from the summer sun. Festival season is here.
This is my ode to those good times - dewy sunrise mornings with all the best friends you just met. No care about tomorrow ... because if you haven't gone to bed yet... it's still today.

September long weekend I was among a very privileged few invited to spin music at an exclusive outdoor gathering for a 3 night festival. Every DJ brought their A game, the festival location was incredible and the massive pK Soundsystem got flexed to the max!
