Under one-party rule, Minnesota has become a vanguard of state-enforced cultural Marxism. Standing against the tide, Walter Hudson fights aggressively to thwart the Left's advance and restore lost liberties. DraftAmerica is living through a soft civil war. From the assassination of Charlie Kirk to the toxic rhetoric pouring out of our institutions, the divide between left and right has become impossible to ignore. But here’s the hard truth: us vs. them is not sustainable.
In this episode of Closing Argument with Walter Hudson, I lay out:
Why the “social contract” in America has been quietly rewritten.
The frog-in-boiling-water moment we’ve all just woken up to.
Why cancel culture ≠ accountability, and how to tell the difference.
The danger of grievance politics vs. the hope of gratitude politics.
How “Steve Jobs politics” can shred the old scripts and build real solutions.
Short-term, the destructive ideologies tearing us apart must be decisively defeated. Long-term, we need to think 50–100 years ahead—rebuilding order, restoring liberty, and inviting sane voices back into the American project.
If you’re tired of partisan theater and ready to talk about how we actually restore our republic—this is for you.

From top to bottom, from former president Barack Obama to Democrat governors like Tim Walz and Gavin Newsome, the Left has pushed all-in on accusing everyone in MAGA of being a fascist.

The scene at Charlie Kirk's memorial in Arizona was one of revival, unlike anything we've seen in the modern era.
Every single speaker, including the president and vice president of the United States, uplifted the name of Christ and called Americans to virtue and repentance.
Meanwhile, the Left continues its unhinged campaign to disparage Kirk before his wife can even bury him. But it's backfiring.
People who had never heard from Kirk are now discovering him, specifically because the claims from the Left are so outlandish.
The impact of this backfire is poised to change our nation forever.

U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson, who serves the district of Minnesota, made extraordinary earth-shattering statements in a recent press conferences announcing new indictments for fraud in the state's generous social programs.
Let's tick through what he said, and the sobering implications.
Support the show
The days since the taking of Charlie Kirk have revealed a terrible new reality that most of us were naively unaware of. The social contract has been broken. We can no longer assume that those among us who teach our children, perform our medical procedures, or write our laws would not openly celebrate our end before our loved ones could place us in the grave.
So. Where do we go from here?
Support the show
Minnesota has been ruled over by the iron fist of Democrats for decades, resulting in rampant injustice in our streets, abhorrent educational outcomes, and the erosion of basic rights.
But, for some reason, the issue that seems to get the most traction in our state is fraud in government programs. We've had tons of it. Hundreds of millions. Approaching a billion. Likely much, much more.
And the lie about all this fraud is that it's one big screw up. Gee wiz, we didn't mean it. How does this keep happening? We don't know.
But it's increasingly apparent that Minnesota state government has been turned into a racketeering operation to financially benefit Democrat allies.
Here are the receipts.

In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's end, tens of millions of Americans have revealed to us that they'd welcome our demise.
Congresspeople, legislators, nurses, professionals, even professors and teachers have all celebrated or to some degree justified what happened to Kirk.
We look at one teacher in particular who attempts to justify his position, but only succeeds to reveal that he never should have been a teacher in the first place.

Nothing will be the same after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
But whether those of us imbued with righteous indignation prevail will be determined entirely by how bold and unapologetic we decide to be.
The path forward is innovative, provocative, and entirely unconcerned with anyone's opinion.
Support the show
The assassination of Charlie Kirk has been a turning point in American politics. People are waking up to realize that a significant number of people and institutions in the United States wish them and their families ill, and will stop at no means - employ "any means necessary" - to implement their hostile intent.
So... how should normies respond? How do we restore order? How do we keep our republic? How do we survive?
Minnesota State Representative Walter Hudson outlines the way with radio host Al Travis in this dynamic interview - a call to action that should ignite a Second American Revolution.
If it doesn't... America deserves it's fate.

For years, many of us have anticipated that something resembling a civil war was coming.

For decades, the black community has been sold on the value of "equity," a false promise which hasn't delivered. Meanwhile, those with means, including many of the Democrat patrons peddling "equity," utilize their resources to send their kids to private schools or move to areas with superior public offerings.
When will the black community have the same options? Maybe it's time to change how you vote.
The public education establishment in Minnesota is openly hostile toward the public it was created to serve. The latest example comes from an email sent to school administrators inviting them to a summer training session equipping them with "strategies for pushing equity efforts forward despite the resistance."
It's entirely inappropriate for public educators to regard the People they serve as a "resistance" to be "pushed" past. And it's time to shift the current imbalance of state law back toward empowering the public to govern truly independent school districts.
"Why do you need that many bullets?" Gun control advocates on the Left frequently ask that question as if it presents some self-evident argument against high-capacity magazines. Minnesota Democrats have endorsed a candidate to run against Rep. Mary Franson in Alexandria who has a colorful criminal record. He's a machete-wielding trash-diving stalker creep, and has been for years. His background is not surprise to the Democrats. But they endorsed him anyway. Now they're trying to sweep it under the rug, but we're not having it. State representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130.

Walter Hudson
First in the House, and now in the Senate, Minnesota Democrats have refused to uphold our first American liberty - religious freedom.
The whole point of the New World was escape from religious persecution. Now, Democrats in both chambers have betrayed that promise.
As a reminder, last year, they added "gender identity" as a distinct protected class in the Human Rights Act without also adding it to the religious exemption. That had the effect of nullifying your First Amendment rights to religious expression and freedom of association. Churches can now be sued for refusing to hire a trans youth pastor, for instance.
Religious groups and Republicans gave Democrats the maximum benefit of doubt, assuming the outcome had to be an oversight. We learned in a House Judiciary committee hearing recently that it was "not an oversight."
That was a direct quote from Chair Becker-Finn. It was her intention, by her own admission, to violate her oath of office and conspire against the rights of Minnesotans. A growing list of Democrats in both chambers have affirmed the effect of that conspiracy, including every Democrat member of the House and Senate Judiciary committees, who have each taken an affirmative vote to deny Minnesotans their basic human rights. Soon, every single Democrat in both chambers will be presented with the binary choice to either uphold their oath or break it.
Here's the call to action.

A particular word for my brothers and sisters in Christ: Now is the time to pause gospel navel-gazing. We don't need another sermon about how deeply God loves us, how assured we can be of salvation, or how important it is to pray for our enemies.
Pray for victory! Then act like your God is worth serving. Have no doubt, this is your test. These people have told you to your face that you can not worship your God. To your face! They will not relent. Will you? Will you be Daniel with his windows open on the top floor facing Jerusalem, praying faithfully in defiance of King Darius. Or will you hide behind a false interpretation of "turn the other cheek" and let your children be taken into Babylonian captivity? You probably never imagined you'd be faced with such a choice. But brother, sister, it's here.

Recent events in Minnesota make it clear that Democrats will only honor a cop after he dies. The juxtaposition between the carefully crafted script-reading in the wake of recent public safety deaths versus how state trooper Ryan Londregan has been railroaded by Democrat prosecutor Mary Moriarty make it crystal clear that law enforcement will never get a fair shake from Minnesota Democrats.

It's time to get of the couch and fight in Minnesota after Democrats launched total war on the First Amendment. State Representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 with this week's legislative update.
School resource officers may return to schools if the Senate can get on board with the bill just passed in the Minnesota House. Walter breaks down how things started and how they're going, detailing what stands as the greatest victory Republicans have secured despite being in the minority under a Democrat trifecta.

Walter Hudson
State representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice to discuss the recent failure of the Osseo school board to protect kids from smut in their library, and how it is indicative of a systemic failure in our public education system.
State representative Walter Hudson joins Al Travis to discuss why Democrats will never just leave you alone to live as you please, why Democrats think they can get away with anything, and to share Hudson's message for black Minnesotans.
Should the state pay for everyone's childcare?
MN Democrats think so. They're leaning hard into a proposal to cap childcare costs at 7% of household income.
But can the state actually keep such a promise?
Here's breakdown and analysis of this week's committee hearing.
State representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice to discuss just how wild the 2024 legislative session is shaping up despite indications from caucus leadership that they would prefer to get in, get bonding, and get out.
Also, the long-term political stakes and dynamic in Minnesota. Hudson describes the DFL Endgame for locking in a permanent trifecta and making conservativism unconstitutional in Minnesota.
After a furious first week of the 2024 legislative session, state representative Walter Hudson joins Al Travis to bring listeners up to speed the school resource officers issue. After cutting Republicans out of the interim discussions with stakeholders and developing a "fix" without minority input, Democrats tipped their hand early this week with a bill that actually manages to make the problem worse.
State representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice to discuss the action-packed first week of the 2024 legislative session. Democrats have tipped their hand and shown their intentions regarding school resource officers. It's very clear now that they intend to maintain two different standards for use of force - one reasonable, one unreasonable.
State representative Walter Hudson joins Al Travis to discuss the firebombing of three prominent conservative organizations in Minnesota. Also, why do the obvious "double standards" employed by the Left never shame them? And why doesn't pointing their hypocrisy out ever make a difference?
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Al Travis, responding to this week's legislative committee hearing on a bill to legalize killing people. Why is "assisted suicide" a priority when so many other issues - like school resource officers - plague Minnesotans, and while even the Democrats own patrons - like Education Minnesota - remain deeply disappointed?
Also, are people waking up to the vast disparities in school funding between high-revenue and low-revenue school districts? Why are schools getting stuff they never asked for, like "free" lunch, while their basic needs go unmet?
State Representative Walter Hudson joins The Al Travis Show to reveal why Minnesota Democrats' approach to marijuana legalization leaves everyone on both sides of the issues disappointed.
Also, educators say their most urgent concern is a lack of teachers in the classroom. Yet, Education Minnesota refuses to back a plan to source teachers from the community, people who have decades of experience successfully navigating reality. Why? What are their arguments? Walter tackles it.
Governor Tim Walz and Minnesota Democrats recently revealed their plan to copy and paste their 2022 electoral strategy, running on abortion... again... even though they've already legalized the killing of fully developed viable children up to the moment of birth.
They're new scheme is to amend the state constitution to permanently strip the unborn of civil rights. Walz predicted that Republicans will campaign as they did in 2022, tip-toeing around the issue and fumbling when cornered.
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 to respond.
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Jack Tomczak and "NASCAR Kelly" to break down the persecution of pro-parent school board members in a deep red district.
Elk River votes 65/35 for Republicans like Donald Trump. Yet its school district staff ask kindergarteners for "preferred pronouns." That's why John Anderson and Mindy Frieberg were elected to the board in 2022, to bring a pro-parent perspective and align policy with community values. Rather than respect the will of the people expressed through the electoral process, the majority on the board, led by the chair, and eagerly shepherded by staff, proceeded to leverage "policy, protocol, and procedure" to build a case against the new board members, accusing them of being "unprepared for meetings" because they ask questions, and censuring them for such sins as holding town halls and seeking detailed curriculum information.
Hudson lays out the situation and suggests a course for action to rectify the illiberal democracy apparent in ISD 728.
Merry Christmas.
But, why?
Why should we be merry? Why does Christmas matter? Is it just a time for get-togethers and gift exchange, or is there more to it?
Here's what Bible-believing Christians believe, and why we believe it. Enjoy!
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice to discuss the censure of pro-parent school board members by ISD728 in Elk River. The proceedings highlighted a nexus of policy, procedure, and protocol which conspires to evade public scrutiny and suppress public discourse. Board members John Anderson and Mindy Freiberg were censured for such things as asking questions, talking to staff, and holding town halls.
Also discussed, Democrats turning a near $20 billion surplus into a projected deficit in a single biennium. Plus, why we shouldn't expect them to slow down one bit leading toward the 2024 election.
The Elk River School District (ISD 728 in Minnesota) censured two of its newly elected board members for such crimes as asking questions, talking to staff, and holding town halls.
Yes, each of those things is apparently prohibited by "policy." The district paid a law firm with taxpayer dollars to investigate these "violations."
State Representative Walter Hudson breaks down the entire proceeding in this massive episode.
Coming out of a dense and contentious state central committee meeting of the Republican Party of Minnesota, State Representative Walter Hudson takes a deep dive into how things shook out, offering opinions on the many matters of dispute, and calling for a renewed commitment to the party's mission going forward. Representative Walter Hudson joins Al Travis to talk about the complete lack of accountability in Minnesota state government in every branch. Judicial elections are broken and meaningless. State agencies never answer for negligence. And the Democrat Trifecta enters 2024 with zero humility.
Representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 for the first time in a long time to preview the excess of the 2024 legislative session and discuss how reaction to the October 7th terrorist attack by Hamas has provided a clarifying moment.
Not sure what we're doing with this McCarthy situation.
I get if you're feeling kamikaze vibes. But I have kids.
We damn well better have a plan to save the world they'll live in.

Minnesota state representative Walter Hudson joins Al Travis to discussion state and national politics.
Walter joins Jon Justice for the first time in a long time, discussing Minnesota spending $17 million to investigate why Covid models were trash, why steadily increased spending on education has not improved outcomes, and why socialists in Minnesota are so comfortable revealing themselves.
The Blackout Bill passed this year by Minnesota Democrats will ban 80% of current energy production in the state with no evidence-based plan to replace that vital resource.
This, supposedly to save the planet.
Except it won't.
Net global emissions will continue unabated.
Representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 to debrief from the recent simulated Convention of States in Williamsburg, VA. They also discuss the Minnesota state patrol shooting of Ricky Cobb II, and the confirmation of many Feeding Our Future fraud suspects receiving subsequent payments from the State of Minnesota.

The term "culture war" is used rhetorically, but it's accurate. In war, the object is to neutralize an enemy's capacity to act against you. That's what the transgressive Left has done for decades. They decided they would not tolerate those who disagree, and they haven't.
Meanwhile, normal people have been parlaying for peace, ceding ground, falling back, yielding to demands, all in the hope of finally appeasing the weirdos to establish a ceasefire. But it never ends.
If we mean "culture war," then we need to act as though we're truly in one. We need to play for keeps, take ground, neutralize our opponents' offensive capacity, and push forward to ultimate victory.
Victory means control of the institutions. It means an institutional rejection of the false, the untrue, the immoral, and the perverse. It means telling people that they're wrong and rewarding them with nothing. It means laughing at absurdity and ensuring lasting consequence for those espousing it unrepentantly. It means lifting up those willing to speak truth, ganging up on bullies to expose their cowardice, and rallying to the defense of normal people saying normal things when they're attacked by ghouls.
Victory is not polling. Victory is not a focus group. Victory is not messaging. Victory is not careful and unoffensive.
Have the transgressive Left worried for even one second about offending you? Have they bounced their ideas off a consultant? Are they polling to see whether it's popular for a bearded drag queen to straddle a stanchion and tread upon the North Star in our capitol rotunda? No. They're not asking. They're taking. They're advancing. They're marching. They're conquering.
And you're letting them.
We didn't get from 2008, when the Democrat nominee for president campaigned on traditional marriage, to our current situation because the Left paused to consider what's popular. They didn't care. They proceeded with a perverse but intense sense of moral conviction, and they refused to take no for an answer.
Nothing less than an equal and opposite force will defeat them. The only question is: will we rise to the moment?
Their description:
On today's MUST LISTEN to EPISODE, we have the honor to speak with Minnesota State Representative Walter Hudson. Rep Husdon joins us to discuss the most radical legislation to cross the MN House floor, and it passed. We are talking about House Bill HF 146 which makes the Great State of Minnesota a sanctuary state for transgenders. What does that mean for our children, all minors, and their parents, Rep Hudson explains it all. We also tackle MN's radical abortion bill, you won't want to miss this. Also, we discuss one state's Governor who is taking on the school system, and thanks to Moms for Liberty, they are victorious. That, and so much more.

The Gender Jihad
A disturbing pattern of trans-identifying individuals taking up arms to harm people can be explained by the illiberal nature of the "trans women are women" doctrine.
The crazy Transgender Refugee bill is voted on today in the MN House. Walter & Jeremy discuss the impacts of this legislation and debate the right of peaceful protest in front of politicians' homes. They also break down Ranked Choice Voting and the bill to double the threshold to obtain major party status from 5-10% - which is an attack on third parties.
In this livestream town hall, Senator Lucero and I discussed the impact the legislative session will have on our school districts, communities, and children. We shared details of deeply consequential legislation which will shock you. Not for the faint of heart.

Rep. Walter Hudson and Jeremy Munson dive into the new law banning medical practitioners from providing certain counseling to people questioning their gender or sexuality. They also discuss red flag bills and the mental health care gap. Jeremy offers criticism of the Chamber of Commerce's push for driver's licenses for illegals. Democrats push to ban all gas-powered lawn equipment and respond to corporate wokeness.
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Scott Hennen on WZFG The Flag, broadcasting to western Minnesota, to talk about the effect of employer mandates making their way through the legislature. Every employer in the state - including cities, counties, school districts, churches, and more - will be required to allow their employees to take off up to 24 weeks. That's on top of "earned safe and sick time" and pregnancy leave. Small business will be devastated, as will small towns and greater Minnesota communities. Democrats simply don't care.

This week:
State representative Walter Hudson joined Al Travis to discuss:
🔹Extreme abortion policy even Democrat voters can't stomach
🔹Driver's license for illegals decided by their "community"
🔹Taxing marijuana less than tobacco 🚬
State representative Walter Hudson (R - Albertville) joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 for a weekly legislative update:
Rep. Walter Hudson and Jeremy Munson discuss new legislation which would keep one or both parents from interfering with children kidnapped and brought to MN for "gender-affirming care" such as sex changes, puberty blockers, castration, and sterilizations. This scenario is already playing out in California, which passed a similar bill.
📻This week's legislative update with @JonJustice :
🔹Breakneck speed of legislative session precludes democratic deliberation
🔹Rep. Gomez re: DLs for illegals says her "community" decided content of legislation, not elected members
🔹Press failing to cover radical legislation
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice for the weekly legislative update. Topics include Democrats rushing their Blackout Bill through the legislative process with little scrutiny despite it impacting very sphere of human life. They also discuss driver's licenses for illegal aliens and a bill to prohibit mining in the Iron Range offered by a bunch of metro Democrats.
Liz Collin Reports | Ep. 41 Subscribe: https://alphanews.buzzsprout.com/
State Rep. Walter Hudson, R-Albertville, believes Minnesota must do better in how it handles repeat juvenile offenders.
He is offering a broad list of changes to the system in order to better protect victims of crimes committed by juveniles.
He said he felt compelled to propose the changes after an Alpha News report earlier this month. The report documented the Ford family’s fight for justice. Their son, Dalton Ford, 22, and his longtime girlfriend Tayler Garza were killed Easter Sunday in 2021 in a tragic crash. They were running to get coffee when Camille Dennis-Bond and her brother Leon Bond were drag racing each other on County Road 42 in Burnsville. Leon’s car crashed into their car, killing them both. Seconds before the crash, he was driving 114 miles per hour, court documents say.
The Blackout Bill - a Democrat priority to mandate 100% "carbon-free" energy by 2040, is being rushed through the legislative process with little scrutiny despite impacting literally every sphere of human life. Republicans thrice attempted to have the bill referred to relevant committees from the House floor this week. But Democrats rejected each motion. They don't want Minnesotans getting a good look at the details of this legislation. After our lights start to go out as a consequence of this bill becoming law, we won't be getting a good look at much of anything.
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Scott Hennen on WZFG The Flag, broadcasting to western Minnesota, to talk about an effort making its way through the legislature to document incidents which are not crimes but which make members of certain protected classes uncomfortable. An example offered by the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights in testimony to the Public Safety committee was someone standing on the side of the road and getting yelled at by someone in a passing car. That would be enough to warrant documentation by the state. Why? To what end? Hudson and Hennen discuss the possibilities which lay at the bottom of a slippery slope.
Rep Walter Hudson and Jeremy Munson discuss the DC Debt Limit debate, MN's Surplus, and new programs for spending hundreds of millions on Food for Kids and Child Care - programs that were robbed of a billion dollars by fraudsters. Walter also weighs in on efforts to restore voting rights for people no longer in prison, a bill to add inflation to forecasts, and HF1 which will be voted on tomorrow.
Mitch Berg from the Northern Alliance Radio Network interviews State Representative Walter Hudson regarding a subversive bill working its way through the Minnesota legislature which would establish a reporting mechanism for any incident that a member of a protected class perceives to be "bias."
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 for a weekly legislative session update. Topics include a peculiar incident where a testifier in committee (who would later be confirmed as a DACA recipient) claimed "our people" are voting, and House File 1 - the most extreme abortion policy in the United States and the world.
State Rep. Walter Hudson and Jeremy Munson discuss several of the DFL's priority bills in detail, including HF1 - Unlimited Abortion, HF2, Paid Family Leave, HF3 Automatic Mail-in Ballots for Life, HF4, Driver's Licenses for people here without permission, HF5 Free School Lunch for All, HF6 Government Price Controls on Everything. Walter explains a bill he chief authored to require judges to impose proper sentencing on the third violent offense.
Transcript:
As a kid growing up, whenever I heard about the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., my heart would swell with gratitude. When I considered his dream of a world where we would be judged by the content of our character rather than the color of our skin, I felt like his words had made my life possible – literally.
My dad was a black man who grew up in Detroit. My mom was white. Ten years before I was born, their marriage would have been illegal in several states. My existence, and that of my two younger sisters, was an act of defiance. But it didn’t feel that way to us. We were just kids growing up with our parents. Life wasn’t political. And that was the fulfillment of MLK’s dream, a world – even just within the walls of our own home – where race wasn’t an issue.
Beyond our walls, the rest of the world progressed as well.
Integration occurred organically. Racist beliefs diminished, became punchlines which brought people together through laughter. The world truly became a better place, for which we all owed a debt of gratitude.
But then our course took a radical shift. A new focus on race took root in our institutions. Gratitude and reconciliation were displaced by grievance and division. The goal post which MLK had firmly set, merit-based character judgments without regard to race, was uprooted and replaced with a moving target – equity. Now, we were no longer going to judge each other based on the content of our character, but by the statistical disparities associated with skin color. Instead of gratitude for what we had, now we would look over the fence and covetously inventory our neighbor.
This massive step backwards has poisoned our culture, ruined our institutions, and soured a generation of children. We are now teaching kids that any failure or lack or inadequacy is not within themselves but due to oppression. It has taken any cell of gratitude and corrupted it into a tumor of grievance. Now, instead of looking at how we can improve ourselves – how we can learn, develop, grow, and achieve – we look to how we can disrupt, foment, and redistribute.
We were almost there. We had almost achieved the dream. We were within sight of a world where merit would serve as currency, and race would prove irrelevant. Instead, we’ve cast aside that dream, allowing grievance and complaint to become the content of our character.
On this MLK Day, we should resolve to correct our course. We should take a fresh look at Martin Luther King’s dream and rise to its challenge within ourselves. Each of us has total control over our attitude. We decide our values. We set our priorities. We bear responsibility for our actions. These things we can change today, at the speed of thought, by making a decision. When enough of us turn from grievance to gratitude, we will summon forth what he called “a bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood.” That’s why we celebrate him, because of the vision he cast for a peaceful world united through human kinship. We won’t get there by complaining and conniving, by looting or burning things down. We will get there by building up, developing merit, and earning respect.
State Representative Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 for the weekly legislative update. Topics include the DFL majority's proposals for paid family medical leave and automatic voter registration.
On the day he's sworn in as a Minnesota state representative, Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on AM 1130 Twin Cities News Talk reacting to Governor Walz inaugural address and the most radical legislative agenda the state has ever seen.
The MN Legislature begins on January 3, and as Gideon J. Tucker once said, “No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session.” Walter and Jeremy discuss the DFL majority's 5 legislative priorities and the path to hold the line.
State representative-elect Walter Hudson joins Jack Tomczak and NASCAR Kelly Gunderson to unpack a controversy caused by his recent statements classifying vaccine mandates as a form of slavery. What is the difference between "public health" and the practice of medicine, and why does it matter?
Rep-Elect Walter Hudson makes national news by discussing and comparing vaccine mandates to other egregious attacks on personal liberty. Evidently, only the Left is allowed to bring up its past abuses. Munson and Walter discuss committee assignments, Walter's experience at Freshman Orientation, and the countdown to the start of the session.
State Representative-elect Walter Hudson joins WCCO's Chad Hartmann to expound upon "controversial" remarks classifying vaccine mandates as a form of slavery.

Follow along as Walter enters his role of State Representative and provides our inside-the-Capitol view and Jeremy is returning to activism. They discuss the election, what the DFL trifecta means legislatively, and discuss the FTX CEOs' corruption of elections.
Walter Hudson for State Representative joins Al Travis on the latest episode of Between the Lines.
Why do niche ideological groups like the Ayn Rand Institute, or any given libertarian or Objectivist organization, stay small and perpetually ineffective at moving the culture? What's it take to run for office? How did Republicans miss their moment in the 2022 midterms? Where do we go from here? We dove in to those questions in depth, led by my friend Sunny Lohmann. Check it out.
Minnesota State Representative-elect Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice in the immediate aftermath of the 2022 midterm elections to analyze what happened and discuss where the MNGOP goes from here.
State representative candidate Walter Hudson joins Jon Justice on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 to discuss the trajectory of the 2022 election and how Republicans stand ready to sweep the Iron Range due to the egregious failures of Governor Tim Walz, President Joe Biden, and their Democrat Party.
Taking advantage of public trust during a global crisis, Democrat donors conspired to defraud Minnesota taxpayers of over $250 million. Governor Tim Walz and his administration, including Attorney General Keith Ellison and State Auditor Julie Blaha, did nothing. When forced to acknowledge the failure, they libeled a judge, going so far as to call for investigation of an "order" which was never given.
State representative candidate Walter Hudson breaks down the scandal, how it happened, and what must be done to ensure nothing like it ever occurs again.
Why can't we all just get along? Political tension has increased in recent years as institutions become estranged from the people they were created to serve. Our disagreements have grown more intense, and reconciliation proves elusive. Is this just the way things are now? Or can we change how government works to ease tensions and make Americans neighbors again?
Minnesota candidate for state representative Walter Hudson presents his view of how government at all levels has contributed to increased disunity and discord, and how it can be reformed to lower the temperature of our debates.
Terrible, shocking news this morning. Andrew Lee, of the Justice and Drew morning show on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130, passed away suddenly over the weekend.
I was in studio with him just this past Thursday, as I had been many times before. It was routine. It was normal. He was vibrant, energetic, and enthused, as he had been every time I saw him - quick to laugh, interested in people's stories, eager to offer help and insight. There was nothing to suggest it would be the last time I would see him.
In her post, Samantha Sansevere talked about Drew discovering her, believing in her, and being an advocate and encouragement. I had a similar experience.
I vividly remember meeting Andrew at a 'Cocktails and Conversations' event put on by the station many years ago. He had just recently moved here and took over as program director for KTLK. Sue Jeffers introduced me to him and, with her trademark conviction, insisted that I should be on the radio. Andrew gave me this look which I would come to recognize as I saw it many times -- thinly veiled skepticism. He had clearly been presented with many such prospects, and found most wanting. I, like everyone in his orbit, would have to prove myself. But once you did, once you showed him that you had something to offer, once he believed in you, there was no stronger advocate.
'Closing Argument with Walter Hudson' happened entirely because of Andrew. When a late evening slot opened up in the broadcast schedule, it could have easily been plugged with syndication. Such is the trajectory of the industry. Local radio is a risk. Syndication makes good business sense. But Drew wouldn't have it. He wanted a local voice on the airwaves. And he fought to bring me in as that voice. It's not something I would have pursued and obtained without him taking the initiative to reach out, offer, and encourage me. And that type of thing almost never happens. It's like a made-up story, where the wise seasoned mentor appears to call a reluctant charge. My ship came in - not ladden with riches, but set on adventure. And Drew Lee was its captain.
My heart goes out to his family and friends, Sam and Jon Justice in particular. Knowing how I feel, I can't imagine what they're going through. I pray for comfort and eventual peace, for gratitude and celebration of life. Drew Lee was everything this world needs more of. We're less without him.
Walter Hudson joins host Daniel Breitenbucher for a wide-ranging discussion on the new "Logical and Wright" podcast, which can be found at logicalandwright.com. They react to the recent police standoff in St. Michael and meander through topics from mental health to race relations, all with a local angle.
Roe v Wade is gone. But our fight for life has only just begun. As with slavery and Jim Crow before it, we must pursue the complete abolition of abortion. Human dignity and worth are not optional. We don't kill "unwanted" people in a moral society. Help us protect life in Minnesota. hudsonformn.com
What comes to mind when you hear the word "democracy?" Do we really have it in Minnesota? Does state government in St. Paul reflect our values out here in Wright County?
This Father's Day, 13.8 million children woke up without a father in their home. Statistics indicate they will face higher hurdles to success. Public policy has contributed to this problem, and it can be reformed to help solve it.
