The use of modern authentication, i.e. with username, password and an additional device (such as a telephone) is fairly common in 2021, it seems. For us IT people probably yes, but for the general public it does not yet appear to be the gold standard.
What exactly is modern authentication? How do the experts envision it, what are the trends and developments and will we really have a life without a password?
All questions we asked Remco de Kievit and Sjaak Koekkoek. These 2 men are involved in security issues in daily life, in which modern authentication plays a major role.
Remco works as a pre sales security consultant at Infinigate and Sjaak works as sales director Benelux at Yubico.

Jasper has not been working on the hourly billing principle since 2016. He knew one thing for sure in 2019, that was his passion to help the ICT entrepreneur to make business processes, information security and ICT smarter and thus create the necessary peace of mind within an organization.
We think that this episode really applies to “everyone” within our profession!

In this episode we zoom in on the Linux/Unix operating platform. As IT professionals, we still regularly encounter it in our customer environments, or as an operating system on the average IoT device, but at the same time it seems somewhat underexposed. More than two years ago we started a podcast with the idea of sharing knowledge. Not only we like that, because there are of course plenty of colleagues who share the same love. One of those colleagues is Ali Tajran, who maintains his blog at alitajran.com.
Due to his work in the field of Exchange and Exchange Online, Sander has recently ended up regularly on the blog from Ali Tajran where he found the answers to the issues that concerned him.
