The use of modern authentication, i.e. with username, password and an additional device (such as a telephone) is fairly common in 2021, it seems. For us IT people probably yes, but for the general public it does not yet appear to be the gold standard.
What exactly is modern authentication? How do the experts envision it, what are the trends and developments and will we really have a life without a password?
All questions we asked Remco de Kievit and Sjaak Koekkoek. These 2 men are involved in security issues in daily life, in which modern authentication plays a major role.
Remco works as a pre sales security consultant at Infinigate and Sjaak works as sales director Benelux at Yubico.

In this new Come Get IT episode we highlight a different side of our beautiful profession, namely the side of the ICT entrepreneur and zoom in on business processes.
Perhaps not exactly the subject you are waiting for after your holiday because business management is the most boring part of our profession from a technical point of view, right? Jasper van Horssen knows how to convince us why this is very important.
Everyone likes peace and quiet, including the IT entrepreneur. Jasper van Horssen helps entrepreneurs with all kinds of issues within ICT companies from his company Dxfferent. How can you improve your business processes, innovate and, above all, as an entrepreneur, quietly work on the creative side of doing business. Jasper can literally tell with goosebumps and passion what he likes about his job and why it is so important for everyone in the ICT company to secure and follow processes.
Jasper has not been working on the hourly billing principle since 2016. He knew one thing for sure in 2019, that was his passion to help the ICT entrepreneur to make business processes, information security and ICT smarter and thus create the necessary peace of mind within an organization.
We think that this episode really applies to “everyone” within our profession!

In this episode we zoom in on the Linux/Unix operating platform. As IT professionals, we still regularly encounter it in our customer environments, or as an operating system on the average IoT device, but at the same time it seems somewhat underexposed. Is the platform still relevant in our IT landscape in 2021? Is it still a specialism or can anyone with an IT background use it?
We have noticed that finding an IT colleague who really specializes in Unix/Linux is quite difficult, but we succeeded.
We have invited Remco Fugers to talk about this subject. A Unix man in heart and soul, so we talked extensively with him about the past and present of this platform.
Remco is an experienced technician with a proven history of working in the IT and services sector. Skilled in career development, coaching and communication and is Field Operational Manager at Xifeo ICT B.V.
Do you want to know what Linux/Unix can do for you?

In this new episode of the Come Get IT Podcast we explored the possibilities of sending emails securely.
Am I not safe then?
We note that this is a question that we are regularly asked. In addition, a large number of our colleagues play with this question.
How do you solve it? What exactly is secure email? What should we as an organization send securely via email?
All questions with which we want to help you. We did not do this alone, but together with Meint Post.
Meint is the COO of Secumailer, an organization that deals with only the safe sending and receiving of secure email.
Meint is a driven Senior executive who can tell with great passion how secure e-mail works, what added value Secumailer has in the current IT landscape and not entirely unimportant; how their product can be used.
Reason enough to listen to this episode.

More than two years ago we started a podcast with the idea of sharing knowledge. Not only we like that, because there are of course plenty of colleagues who share the same love. One of those colleagues is Ali Tajran, who maintains his blog at alitajran.com.
Due to his work in the field of Exchange and Exchange Online, Sander has recently ended up regularly on the blog from Ali Tajran where he found the answers to the issues that concerned him.
After Sander had found his answers, he immediately sent Ali an invitation to talk about his love for Exchange, Office365 and his passion for IT in general.
Ali Tarjan is a passionate IT architect and IT consultant. He started with information technology at a very young age (12) and has since combined work with studies. His goal is to educate and inspire others.

In this episode we have Erik Remmelzwaal a guest in our podcast studio again, Erik has also been a guest in Episode 9 (if you missed this click here).
When we had him at the microphone in that episode, he was still in the middle of his hibernation (sabbatical) and in this new episode we spoke with Erik again about security, but also about what he is up to now that he has awakened from hibernation.
In the meantime, together with a number of other security adepts, he started the company Zolder BV, which recently has its own app and he is also host in the Zolder Sessions vodcast of the same name.

In this episode we are going to “nerd” again about image transfer and graphics cards. But is a graphics card still a consumer product or serious business today? We discussed this with Jits Langedijk.
Jits Langedijk is a Solution Architect at NVIDIA. As a solution architect, his primary focus is to assist customers and support partners in NVIDIA technology. His focus is on the (virtual) GPU and related possibilities such as VR, Advanced Rendering and Deep Learning (AI).
With more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry, Jits is able to analyze and advise organizations in general on their IT vision and strategy and in particular their graphics infrastructure.
In addition, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021 recently took place, where Nvidia traditionally put its latest products and techniques in the (virtual) shop window and of course we wanted to know all about that too.
