Enough is enough with fear based "end time" preaching! But what is the bible really saying about it...well it's much simpler and makes a heck of a lot more sense than what's coming from the doomsday camp with their charts and political rhetoric....in fact, the prophecies in the bible fit together perfectly right on the timeline the prophets and Jesus Himself predicted!
The title says it all...this message is POWERFUL regarding a Kingdom political perspective.
Seth is very wise and passionate. His desire is for us to begin valuing family and relationship again above all else! In 2020, consider fasting from toxic religious food and feasting on healthy food. Why did Jesus have to die? What is His blood for? If it's not because we were repulsive to God and He needed blood to appease His wrath towards humanity, why did Jesus even have to do it? If you've deconstructed from a lot of evangelical teaching, this is a necessary and helpful reconstruction message what will give you a healthy understanding of why Jesus still had to die.
In the incarnation, God enters the earth realm as a defenseless infant. The One who supposedly commanded Joshua to kill all including women and children, who slaughtered the amalekites and canaanites, lie prone, nursing upon a 14 year old Jewish girl's breast....in the incarnation we see person of God finally come on the scene, and if it's intent be realized, we learn that no one had ever discerned God clearly, even those who'd written of Him, until the incarnation.
Incredible message by Tim Holmes, former Pastor of Hillside Church which about half of Grace Culture Family used to attend...Tim's gift is a disarming one. He shares from the parable of the sower and puts it in a light for us that really helps us focus on the healthy things in our lives, and redirect our energy there. Is what our minds feed on helping us be our best selves for our families? Our friends? Is it helping us move forward and grow?
What if emotions we often demonize and consider negative such as anger, are actually our friends, and are trying to tell us something...what if they're signals of a deeper, and yet HEALABLE root?! A great deal of the christianese phrases we use are reinforcing destructive ideas of ourselves and God that prevent us from progressing in our relationship with Him...christianese can also cause non-christians to feel excluded because of the tribal nature of the lingo...let's be aware and change it! Let's think through our words and stop mindlessly parroting destructive sayings!
Another gamechanger from pastor Jake. In this message he passionately proclaims that to be "as Jesus is in this world," we are empowered to bring things together, not perpetuate division. Once we know what we're empowered with, we then put legs to it by practically pursuing guests for the table God has prepared.
When we replace the false premise of original guilt and original separation, with the true premise of original blessing and original union, the Gospel and it's healing properties begin to manifest in our lives like they're supposed to. For too long we've breached this hurtful, destructive gospel of separation and guilt and it is unable to bring wholeness to us...no more! A reformation is happening!

So you've healed up theologically and now know God is your loving Father, but you still find yourself reacting the same old ways to the same old situations in your relationships, and you really want it to stop....you want to break destructive patterns but can't. Mindshifting is a three strand cord...it's not just theological, it's practical and relational as well...in this message Pastor Jake shares how in the relational realm it's okay to self-evaluate and change behavior. Powerful stuff.
Once you see this, you can't unsee it. You'll never be the same, and you'll never look at other humans the same. You will feel secure and bold. For something to be lost, it had to have first belonged. Pastor Jake goes through the parable of the lost sheep, lost coin, and prodigal son, and we see things we've somehow overlooked: that we've always belonged! The Gospel is about original belonging, not original lostness.
We are beginning to see that the life sentence Jesus gave us, more than outdid any death sentence Adam may have given us. The starting point of our understanding of the Gospel is becoming life as opposed to death. It's sourcing from the solution rather than the problem. This is healing hearts and purging division...helping us see each other as family rather than competition.
Is salvation really about getting our beliefs correct? If we're not adding value, savour, beauty, and hope to our communities, the truth is they won't care about what we believe. More unpacking of that practical, real life side of following Christ in this one.
One of the highest calls we have is to heal hearts who've been told from their youth they're separated from God. This separation message wounds deeply and profoundly...it takes years for someone to move into realizing they're unshakably one with God when during their formative and easily indoctrinated years they were told they started out separated from Him. This message explores how insanely powerful a message of union is to restore hearts, and to raise UNBELIEVABLY STRONG hearts if they know their union with God from youth, and are taught UNION during their formative years.
Orthodoxy vs. Orthopraxy...in America in the last 200 years there's been almost an exclusive focus on orthodoxy, and a near total neglect on orthopraxy....in other words, we've obsessed over doctrine, and forgotten we're also called to live like Jesus in our actions as well...hence we are known for what be believe and don't believe, rather than being known for being the salt of the earth, adding savour and value, and walking in love towards our fellow humans.
You'll hear several GC people share their hearts on this podcast, and the message is about how the power of God flows...is it power-under, lifting others up by serving and equipping them, or power-over, lording over them through fear, intimidation, and control. Enjoy!

The passengers in our lives have a different vantage point on the journey and can see things in our blind spots we can't. Often our blind spots are in the areas we're most passionate in. Powerful Easter message...Jesus delivered from death (old covenant) to life (new covenant)….the stone (the law) has been rolled away. We were born into life as this event predates our birth by nearly 2,000 years! The 1st century jewish people were brought from death to life but we were born into life: the new covenant, as sons and daughters. Inheritance is son/daughter language, not slave language!
Real ministry is relational....there's not a verse for everything...God's heart is for the person's restoration first...this and so much more including many powerful and helpful comments from those attending regarding experiences they've had in the church being divorcees.
Dr. Dre heard the future in Eminem's voice...He has a gift to hear the future in a voice...In the same way, the Father is raising up sons and daughters releasing revelation and the future of the church is in what they're saying...the future is in their voices...do you have ears to hear?
The preacher comes upon Pastor Jake as he declares "AWAKE!!!" to a sleepwalking church working a lifeless, false system, enslaving God's children and keeping them from maturity, as well as intimacy with Jesus. Jake also explores how if we're defining sin in the behavioral/legal realm, you cannot be born a sinner as sin is a transgression of the law and no one has been born under the law for 2000 years. Some of the lifechanging revelation released at Grace Culture over the last few years has become old hat for us, and we can take it for granted. It seems like the row of sacred cows is neverending...religion has lied to us about so many things, so everything is fair game...in this week's podcast Pastor Jake examines the first 8 verses of Psalm 51 in the context of what David is lamenting, being mindful of the reality that it is poetic literature, and how it reads in the original language before being translated into English. What we've always been taught is incredibly powerful....it will cause the words in your bible to turn into something they're not, and say things they don't say....let's revisit Romans 5:12-14 without the lens that we were born into sin and separation and see what it says...LIFECHANGING.
Most of us picture ourselves as the one being ministered to when we see Jesus minister say to the Zacchaeus, adulterous woman, Samaritan woman, etc. as we read the Gospels. However, Pastor Jake believes it's time for those of us who've been walking in this life transforming revelation of the Father's heart for a while and have become solid in it, to shift to picturing ourselves as Jesus in these scenarios. Let us picture ourselves as the one who is bringing wholeness and the Father's heart to a situation or a person, and not always the one needing wholeness and the Father's heart. It's time to step into our destiny as leaders in this global shift into the Father's heart revelation.
Don't let a prophetic word steal your peace in the here and now...don't let it turn you into someone who's hard to live with...effortlessness in our vertical relationship with God is our reality, yes, but that doesn't mean there won't be adversity in our horizontal reality as a prophetic word unfolds in our earthly life...There will be adversity, but adversity is not our enemy! Pastor Jake uses the story of David and the prophetic word God gave him that he would be king to illustrate powerful truths that will help us continue to live abundantly while we're waiting for a prophetic word to manifest!
Let us not idolize the bible, a library of books, to such a level it threatens to replace the Holy Spirit, and actually impede our relationship with Jesus. Let us realize that only within the last 200 years has it become common for the average person to have access to a bible, let alone know how to read....For the first 1800 years of church history, Christians followed Jesus without a bible...We may have been born after it became commonplace to have a bible and be able to read it, but that's not the norm...the scripture is inspired yes, but it's not God. This is a very helpful word from Pastor Jake!
Now that we know we're not going to hell and that our salvation is secure, we are in a position where God can begin to mature us so we can manifest more of Heaven on earth.....God wanting us to grow up isn't control, legalism, or religion; it is Kingdom. Now, if you never get wiser, God will not be disappointed or angry with you, and you won't lose your salvation, but you'll continue to have to deal with the consequences of the decisions you make...wisdom is the principal thing! How you respond to wisdom speaks of whether you're still a spiritual child, adolescent, or you're beginning to get mature. This will really help anyone who's been under grace-based teaching for a while but wants to know where to go next. Grace is the foundation that allows us to understand everything else! Enjoy!

We are seeking to transition from Theology to Abbaology...Your heart cries "Abba Father." This is an incredibly important message to hear for any fellow grace based, new covenant, kingdom church. We must stop using outdated success measures for our churches in this era of livestream, podcasts, YouTube, etc., where our message can reach far wider than 20 years ago....just because attendance on Sundays in your new covenant church may fluctuate, it says nothing about whether you're succeeding in what God has called your church to accomplish in your region! One of Grace Culture's dear friends, Pastor Phil Bevilacqua from Grace Life Church (anything but ordinary) in Prattville, AL, shares with us the realization that, "It's about the next person." Why get involved and help in some capacity at church? "It's about the next person." Why did I receive a revelation of Grace? "It's about me at first, but then it becomes about the next person." Why care if anyone else realizes what a good Father we have? "It's about the next person." Grace gets us to a point where we finally believe, "I'm good." BUT, what do you do from there? Church isn't about consumerism...."feed me, feed me" ….it's about family, and it's about the next person! The puzzle is incomplete without you!
Many a christian dies having never pursued their dreams and passions because the church taught them not to trust their heart desires...they were told their heart was deceitful and wicked, and that their will for their life was world's apart from God's will for their life...many of us were also taught there was only ONE PATH to choose, so we wondered, well what if I miss the one path? How will I know for sure I'm choosing the right path? And rather than choose, we conclude it'd be less painful to not choose and just exist, than to choose and be wrong and lose years of our life. A huge oversight of evangelicalism is not teaching what is going on historically while the new testament was being written...if you can understand that this is a transitional period in which the apostles were trying to figure out how much of, if any, of the old covenant mosaic system was to survive into the new covenant kingdom system, it will help you greatly. These debates were meant to be settled by the destruction of the temple! When the temple was completely destroyed without one stone being left upon another exactly as Jesus prophesied, it was a divine declaration the NONE of the mosaic old covenant system was to survive into the new! That happened 2000 years ago, so let the debates end. Let's stop blending the covenants, and teach people to live in and enjoy their new covenant reality!
A provocative, yet helpful and liberating message from Pastor Jake regarding Paul's thorn in the flesh...who was Paul's adversary that sent this person to buffet him? What was adversarial to the message Paul was trying to release? It was a blended covenant message! This will bless you, enjoy and share. We love you!
We cannot make blanket statements such as, "New Testament False Teaching is _______." It depends on the context, who it was, and where they were on their journey. This is most dramatically true with the Apostle Paul. In one afternoon, teaching he'd called false until that point became his new truth, and what he'd thought was true his whole life he realized was wrong. Paul shows us that you can spend your entire life "serving the Lord" and have never met Jesus. We are all one encounter/revelation away from our truth changing dramatically, so let us hold our current truths lightly as we continue to grow!

What we call false teaching depends entirely on our personal "truth," and our personal reference point. In this series, we are asking what was Jesus', pre-road to Damascus Saul and post-road to Damascus Paul, and the apostle John's understanding of false teaching according to their reference points. This will bring great clarity!
It's time to address some of the elephants in the christian room...Due to a suicide of someone connected to Grace Culture, Pastor Jake felt led to discuss where those who commit suicide go when they die, and then followed the Spirit's leading and continued into a discussion about the doctrine of hell, aka eternal conscious torment, and it's scriptural viability. This is very challenging, and liberating if you allow it to be. God bless!
Many of us have been taught a "God's going to take us out of the earth" paradigm. However, Jesus prayed that the Father wouldn't take the disciples or those who would come to believe out of the earth, but that through them Heaven could come here! Also, there's a 15 minute section at the end of this message where Pastor Jake brought 10 guys in recovery up to prophesy; it was extremely powerful.
Rebekah had no idea that choosing to fetch water not just for Abraham's servant, but also for his 10 camels, meant for her future. She did not live a life of just doing the minimum; she lived a life of excellence...and it led to her marrying into great wealth, as well as the bloodline of Christ...You never know who's noticing...this message is a call to living a life of excellence, that's Kingdom!
If you've spent any time in church, you've heard the term, "getting saved." It has come to be synonymous with, "avoiding hell, and going to heaven when you die." However, this like many other teachings we've been handed, may not be what we thought. This is a very eye opening and liberating message that will bless you!
So often we'd rather hold onto antiquated traditions, rituals, doctrines, and ideas, more than we're willing to trust the Father as He shares new revelation with us designed to increase our quality of life....will you trust the Father? Or just stay where you've always been?!
