Mike is joined by Joe Trottier and Justin Spruiell of the Armed Forces Initiative (AFI) of the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. Justin, Joe and Mike round table what the AFI is all about, how it helps veterans that are retired and still serving their country as well. There's some great information on how to be involved in their events in both Canada and the US as well! The boys share some great stories on their own hunting experiences and how hunting helped them while they served or are still serving. The connection of community and comradery is of the utmost importance to these men and women to give them and outlet into nature and community when back at home in civilian life. What a privilege to share the conversation with these guys that put their life on the line for our freedom!

Mike and Jeremy along with special guests, Travis and Muc, dive into what to do or not to do when mountain hunting in some of the world's most dangerous and unforgiving terrain. Mike has amde numerous trips into the Northern British Columbia backcountry in search of Mountain Goat and Stone Sheep. While Muc had guided 20 years in the Northen BC backcountry for mostly elk, but moose, stone sheep and mountain goat as well. Jeremy and Travis are still fairly new to the mountain hunting concept which nicely rounds out our panel of people on this podcast and bring fresh and experience perspectives. This podcast covers talk about pre trip planning, hunt preparation, mid trip do's and don'ts, tips on packing out animals, survival stories and more! This podcast is full of great tips and tricks to make sure you're a little but more prepared for what to do and not to do when you hit the trail mountain hunting.

Pursue the Hunt in launching a series focused on women and hunting. This has been a growing topic in the hunting industry. Mike interviews Lana Hamilton and Caitlyn Bellamy, both local to the Peace River Region. Lana, while experienced in hunting now, wasn’t the case early on prior to meeting her husband and Caitlyn only recently passed her hunters course (CORE) and just harvested her first big game animal last season in 2019!
