Matilda Boseley

Nothing says family bonding like forcing your reality TV despising father to watch every episode of The Bachelor with you... then sitting him down to make podcast about it.

We made it folks, three months and several locks-downs later Dad and I have worked our way through all of 2020's (somewhat subpar) Bachelor offerings. To round the year off Dad chats about his distrust of Fraser, his disappointment in the Miles sisters, and his fondness for the days before he ever knew what a Country Rose was. (And I'm there too, just yelling about the steam punk man).

It's a rough week. Dad starts to feel like he's gaslighting himself, Pascal reveals he was almost the Bachelor, and we get hit with some aggressive marriage propaganda. But hey, at least there's a bit of nudity!

We're back, baby! This time there is more to love, and much more to be disappointed by. Dad dives into the testosterone-fueled world of the Bachelorette, and in typical fashion, isn't particularly excited about what he sees.

The finale is finally here and Dad has officially made it through a whole season of the Bachelor. Dressed in full ballroom attire, we sit down to unpack this season and the truly bonkers final episode. We ask the big questions like, "Did Locky really donate his sperm?" and "Why did he want Bella to plan a holiday in a pandemic?".

Dad has his worst week yet, with an Bachelor episode that he hopes goes to "die in a desert". It's Bella drama, it's Juliette drama, it's more Bella drama. This week's show really does have everything.

It's been a tough week for Dad with the loss of his favourite character Roxie, but never fear Maddy (the least important character in the show) is here to save the day! We delve into the sordid history of intruders and discuss the fall of the once golden child, Bella.  It's been two jam-packed episodes and whether we like it or not we are here to cover it all.

In a shocking turn of events... Dad adores the new "Zoom" format of the Bachelor. Who knew all it would take was the show's structure and premise fundamentally changing in order for him to have a good time?

Dad is equally invested and infuriated with this week's episodes of the Bachelor, where we fall for "quirky girl next door" Nicole, and hear the word "threesome" said far more than we would have liked.
