Todd is one of the nation's leading experts on free-market environmental policy. Todd is the author of the landmark 2011 book Eco-Fads: How the Rise of Trendy Environmentalism Is Harming the Environment and was a Wall Street Journal Expert Panelist for energy and the environment. He has authored numerous studies on environmental issues, including Five Years of Environmental Policy: Are We Making a Difference; Promoting Personal Choice, Incentives and Investment to Cut Greenhouse Gases, and more. Todd's in-depth research on the failure of the state's 2005 "green" building mandate continues to receive national attention. He formerly served on the executive team at the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and was Director of Public Relations for the Seattle SuperSonics and Director of Public Affairs for the Seattle Mariners.

2 ounces gin
3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 ounce honey syrup
Garnish: lemon twist

2 oz sweet vermouth
2 oz campari
2 oz gin
6 oz fresh orange juice
simple syrup to taste
2 cups of ice
blend that sucker up, garnish with orange slice.

Stephen and Kat jump back in time (again) and run through the long history of the United States and Russia fighting proxy wars, insane things the C.I.A are responsible for, and unpack the corruption and scandal surrounding US officials' dealing inside Ukraine.
Short Fuse
2 oz gold tequila
1/2 apricot brandy
1 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
3 oz fresh grapefruit juice
1/4 oz syrup from maraschino cherries
Shake the liquid with ice. Strain into ice filled highball, and garnish with a wedge of lime.

1 oz St. Germaine
Champagne
Throw vodka, sour, and St. Germaine into a shaker, add ice, and give it a solid mix. Strain into your desired glass and top off with champagne (or any bubbly). Garnish with a lemon. Enjoy.

Last episode left off at the 2004 orange revolution, and today, the Bench fast forwards to cover the short and wild Maidan Revolution that occurred in 2014. In this episode Kat and Stephen dive into a timeline of events including NGO involvement, US government involvement, Neo-Nazis fighting in the revolution, and much more. Grab yourself a cocktail and get ready!
Molotov Cocktail (Torna original)
1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz fire ball
1/4 oz curacao
1 oz lemon juice
Add all the ingredients into a shaker with ice. SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE. Strain into desired glass and proceed (using the backside of a barspoon) to gently pour a high proof liquor like Everclear or 141 rum. This will result in a layer of liquor to "float" on the surface. Grab a lighter or a match and set it ablaze. Watch it burn, and blow out the flame before you drink.

dash of absinthe
1 oz Reposado Tequila
2/3 oz Lillet Blanc
1/3 oz Tripple sec
2/3 oz Lemon juice
dash simple syrup (can be left out to ensure it's not too sweet)
Add a splash of absinthe to your desired glass and swirl gently to thoroughly coat the walls with liqueur. In a mixing container add ice and all other ingredients. stir. Strain into your glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Cranberry Spritz
2 oz gin
1 oz cranberry and rosemary cordial
(2lb frozen cranberries, 2 cups sugar, 4 cups water, zest from 5 lemons, 3 cinnamon sticks, and 2-3 sprigs of rosemary. In a pan add cranberries and burst the berries the best you can (use a tool or just your hands). Add all other ingredients to the berries and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for about 5 min. Let cool and strain into a storage container.)
2 oz club soda
Add gin and syrup to ice and stir. Top off with club soda.

- dash of blue curacao
- 3-4 oz chilled club soda
Pour gin and Cointreau into ice filled glass. Add curacao and soda. Stir.

With the recent riot at the US Capitol, there is a lot of conversations that need to be had. In this episode, the Whiskey Bench discusses the events that occurred on January 6, 2021, and start to lay out a nuanced analysis of what led to it, how its being interpreted based on party affiliation, and what long term negative effects it may have on the civil liberties of every person.
Cherry Cobbler
- 2 oz Gin
- 3/4 oz Cherry Brandy
- 1/4 oz creme de cassis
- 1/4 oz lemon juice
- 1/4 oz simple syrup
- 2-3 oz club soda
Add ingredients (minus soda) into shaker and add ice. Shake rigorously and strain into rocks glass. Top off with soda, and garnish with cherry, lemon slice, and mint sprig.

- 2 oz Canadian Rye Whiskey
- 1/4 oz Fernet-Branca
- 1/4 simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
Add ingredients into a mixing glass and stir well. Strain into a coupe and garnish with an orange twist.

Bourbon Eggnog Flip
- 1 1/2 oz Bourbon
- 1/2 oz Brandy
- 1/2 oz Maraschino Liqour
- 3/4 oz Simple Syrup
- 1 whole egg
- 3-4 oz egg nog
Add all ingredients in (minus eggnog) into a shaker without ice. Dry shake rigorously to mix and emulsify ingredients. Next add ice and shake. Strain mixture into desired glass, and top off with chilled eggnog. Garnish with favorite holiday spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, or orange peel).

In this episode the squad barely dips their toes into censorship in the modern media world. They discuss Hunter Biden, censorship, hot soup, and crypto currency.
Sazerac
- 2 oz Rye (or Cognac)
- 1/4 oz simple syrup
- 4 dashes Peychaud's Bitters ( I like 10)
- A dash of Absinthe, Herbsaint, or Pernod
Stir Rye, sugar, and bitter over ice. In a chilled rocks glass, put a small amount of absinthe into it, and rotate until the sides are coated ( "rinsed"). Strain drink into glass and garnish with a thick lemon peel.
