Kelis did not show up for court
Kelis just got smacked over a $5,000 hair weave. Kelis got the weave at a fancy schmancy Santa Monica salon back in May 2009 but, according to legal docs, the singer never coughed up the dough. This morning, the stylist showed up for the trial, but Kelis didn’t … so the judge entered a default judgment for the full amount. No word if Kelis will ask for an extension from the court.

For those who won't be in attendance, you have a few options on how to watch it. Either by pay-per-view, or in HD LIVE in 150 select movie theaters across the U.S., thanks to NCM Fathom.
In an agreement with Golden Boy Promotions, NCM is bringing boxing to the big screen, as they did in September when Floyd Mayweather took on Juan Manuel Marquez, the first fight to be shown in movie theaters in over 20 years.

"I think people would have immediately alluded to the fact I was talking about my wife when I made that record — and now my ex-wife," he said. "When the song was recorded, I wasn't divorced. It was some reality in the contrast of trying to make it all work, having to balance a career and having a normal life. Coming in at 6 in the morning and arguing was a reality when you have those type of relationships. I felt that in a way, the story did touch on certain things at the time. I didn't know how realistic it would become. I didn't know I would become divorced. I did know it spoke on the contrast between trying to balance this world of being married and having this responsibility that's like a marriage at the same time. The song spoke to that place. Unfortunately, it did become a reality."

You suck award recipient DMX sentenced to six months in jail for probation violation
DMX
appeared in court Tuesday and admitted to Maricopa County Court Commissioner Christine Mulleneaux that he violated his probation by failing a drug test last June.Also during the hearing, a rep from the Pasadena Recovery Center gave the judge a letter from Dr. Drew Pinsky from MTV's "Celebrity Rehab" series, asking permission to treat DMX at his facility ... in lieu of jail.
However, Mulleneaux said such a request would have to be approved by California court officials.
In addition to his six month jail sentence, X was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
The 39-year-old rapper was released from jail in May after serving a 90-day sentence for felony convictions including cruelty to animals, theft and two drug counts.
