In Episode 170, were diving a bit more into Astrocartography and my first intentional roadtrip to experience the energy of a specific line. Astrocartography is a branch of astrology that focuses on the energies of different geographical locations based on your unique natal chart. Drawing on personal experiences from my recent road trip, we're diving into how the energies of different locations can impact our lives and how your Astrocartography map can act as a guide and support system.

I emphasize the importance of seeking professional guidance in reading Astrocartography maps, recount impactful messages received during my trip, and highlight the nuanced role of timing (Transits, Zodiacal Releasing, Annual Profections) in these experiences. Additionally, I'm sharing more about my new offer, 'Anchored,' designed to support individuals seeking spiritual alignment and a deeper understanding of working with their own energy.

In episode 164, I've invited Courtney Zanosky back to share in a nuanced conversation exploring the differences between the frequencies of joy and love.

In Episode 163, I shared the BTS of a personal experience where I was asked to sit with what do I love versus what brings me joy and for the first time in my adult life I slowed down long enough to sit with the fact that these are different emotions with different purposes & expressions. Exploring the subtle differences and anchoring into the expression of love has felt rich and expansion and we can't wait to share this part of our conversation with you.

In episode 160, I'm sharing two personal experiences from working with life coaches. One aligned and one not aligned. We'll also chat about my current private coaching spot open now and how these two experiences have impacted the way I coach.

In Episode 153, Sam is back to talk about trying spiritual and energetic practices while not being a spiritual person.

In this conversation:

  • Sam shares about her reiki experiences
  • How knowing what to expect can limit your experiences
  • How fear around lack of clarity & certainty may be showing up in many areas of our lives right now
  • Trusting that you find the Akashic Records when you are ready to find them
  • Sam's experience with inviting in the power of using her voice
  • We look at the parallels and differences between Sam's experience with Catholicism and her newer experiences with spirituality
  • How our relationships with a higher power vary
  • The type of insight and wisdom found within the Akashic Records
  • Sam recounts my interesting evolution over the past 4 years in under 1 minute
  • Sam shares her revelations that may or may not have been a result of the Akashic Records reading I did for her
  • Two things to remember - Sam's experiences working with me are never going to be the truest representation of working with me because I know Sam really well and it makes it harder for me to release my ego from the experiences. And two - experiences will vary based on the practitioner. If you try a session with someone and it doesn't vibe, be open to trying again because you will eventually find someone who provides energetic support in the exact way you need.

I'm sharing how I've chosen to support my community members affected by the latest tragedy, diving into how these large scale events have shifted the way I choose to show up and go after the things that would have previously scared me, and I'm sharing some of my more nuanced thoughts behind the word 'surrender'.

BONUS Client Testimonial Episode

In Episode 146, I've got another BTS client testimonial to share with you because I think it's important to share multiple perspectives and experiences. Greta and I hadn't worked together previously and I didn't know much about her prior to her session so this felt like a really cool way to grow in the way I'm able to support my clients.

While Greta did have experience with Astrology, she had never worked with zodiacal releasing before and had some apprehensions about the akashic records. Since our session, Greta has reignited a creative spark, she's experiencing a deeper trust in her story unfolding just as its meant to, she sees how the universe has been sending her signals aligning her with her soul's purpose, and she's really inspired to dig into own patterns. There is so much wisdom packed into this conversation. If you are on the fence on if a session like this could support you, this is a great conversation to explore!

In Episode 145, we're going BTS with one of my incredible clients who is sharing her raw unfiltered experience and transformation after our 90-minute akashic records & zodiacal releasing consult. While Alex isn't new to the spiritual space, prior to this session Alex had had minimal experience with accessing her akashic records, limited experience with basic astrology and no awareness or experience with zodiacal releasing. These sessions are designed to meet you where you are at!

Prior to our session Alex felt a little stagnant but couldn't put her finger on what exactly was causing the stagnancy. She was struggling to trust her own internal guidance and felt like she was seeking some reassurance that what she was feeling was real and could be trusted. Since our session Alex has experienced profound shifts in her day-to-day. She has noticed reduced stress around the deep desire to figure out her bigger purpose and instead is finding way more joy in just the day to day and living in the present moment because she could see the proof behind how life is unfolding for her. Alex shares so much more within the conversation and I'm certain we can all see a beautiful piece of ourselves within Alex's story!

In Episode 144, Sam is home for a few weeks and we are catching up on a bunch of things.

Note: This was recorded just a few days post election and was intended to air sooner than it is so some of what we mention may feel slightly out of date from current time. In this conversation we cover:

  • Updates on Sam's 'less toxin journey'
  • Sam's experience really diving into her human design for the first time and how she's learning to lean into her design
  • How human design can validate so many things in life and our personal experiences with this
  • How human design has helped me learn to interact with people around me in a different way.
  • Talking all things holiday's 2024 -- how to prepare for an unusually polarizing year at the holiday table (Sam and I have pretty different views on how to handle most things!)
  • A channeled message from the Akashic Records for this community
  • The importance of making your voice heard -- your voice does matter
  • Black Friday Wellness Favorites

In episode 139, I'm sitting down with one of my friends from my Reiki certification to chat all about how she found reiki and the spiritual space. The first thing Chelsea and I have in common is Nikki just magically appeared in both our lives at the time we needed her magic most. This was a very stream of consciousness conversation and it's giving spiritual coffee chat vibes.

Some topics we explore:

  • When therapy isn't the only solution for help
  • Repressed emotions
  • Things that logic and the mind can't explain
  • How clarity and control are an illusion
  • Finding safety internally over externally
  • Why finding the right practitioner matters
  • Reiki and pregnancy
  • Building a relationship with your body
  • Why you don't need the wellness tech
  • Just because you've tried before & it didn't work -- doesn't mean it won't work now
  • Uncomfortable is never going to feel safe
  • Synchronicities

In Episode 138, we're diving into how stress may be holding you back and you don't even realize it. When I first started seeing a functional medicine doctor they asked "how I was at managing my stress?" and I told her I had a great relationship with stress. I was literally bragging about how I was thriving in high stress environments. But here's the thing -- stress is the cause of so many of our health problems (which is a whole conversation itself) but stress is also actually making it impossible for us to vision set for ourselves! We're stuck where we are because we are so over stressed that we can't even imagine a future different from the one we are currently living. Come learn how I recognized this pattern, how I worked through this and how you can too!

In Episode 136, I'm sitting down with Jacqui Acree to learn all about the science behind EFT tapping. EFT (emotional freedom technique) tapping is one of my favorite ways to regulate my nervous system. It involves tapping gently on energy meridians while acknowledging your real feel emotions helping to shift your state into a less stressed, more relaxed state. I've been tapping for years but never took the time to learn the science behind it and since recording this conversation I haven't missed a day tapping.

Now if you are completely 'woo skeptical' -- then you do not want to miss today's conversation. This conversation is way more science based than woo based. One of my favorite things about tapping is (like breathwork) it's literally accessible to everyone. Once you know how to do it -- you can do it anytime you need that state shift!

Claire is currently hosting a group program that I provided a recorded reiki session for and I have enjoyed getting to know her so much that I knew I had to bring her on the show to meet all of you!

In this conversation:

  • We dive into Claire's experience growing up around spiritual practices and how that influenced her own spirituality.
  • Believing in a higher power doesn't have to mean identifying with religion.
  • How human design has influenced our worlds + how Claire has brought what she's learned about human design into her parenting.
  • How having unlimited access to information has shaped our biggest challenges in life and disconnected us from our intuition.
  • Why you may feel apathetic towards politics, healthcare, your health and so much more.
  • How generational trauma maybe impacting your life in the present moment and how to reframe that to you may be the one to heal that trauma.
  • The power in reframing using 'and also'.
  • How if something is planted on your heart there is a reason for that.
  • The power in the ripple effect.
  • The power in choice - 'Wouldn't it be cool if?'

In Episode 128, we're diving into one of my more recent hot takes that seems to really be resonating with so many of you! I made a reel that said

But first I'm sharing a bit about how endlessly scrolling is an example of something you may be experiencing that could be an indicator that there is something going on in the body that is deeper than what we can see on the surface. I've seen this surface with a couple of 1:1 clients recently and both had huge shifts in this behavior after just one somatic healing session. Somatic Healing Sessions are the best place to start if you are new to my world but ready to plug in. I am only doing 15 more sessions at my introductory rate after that my price will be increasing. Link to book a session is down below!

Also I'm looking for one millennial woman that is ready to really go deep so they can heal from the inside out. They desire to feel as confident on the inside as they look when they are wearing that one outfit that makes them feel beautiful and confident on the outside. If you are this person you probably don't believe that we can shift to this deeply desired state in 4 months and I'm here to show you HOW. If that's you slide into my DMs on Instagram or email me at alyson@alysonhaineswellness.com.

In today's conversation:

  • How rest is a critical piece of honoring my core values -- balance, flexibility, abundance, community
  • How society taught us its unsafe to request time off
  • How those societal lessons embed in our subconscious over time and what it takes to reprogram the subconscious
  • How me bringing light to how unsafe rest feels lead to my business mentor feeling inspired to take time off

In episode 117, Helene Sula -- you may know her as @Heleneinbetween in the social world takes us behind the scenes of writing her first book 'Two O'Clock on a Tuesday at Trevi Fountain'!! The book releases tomorrow (April 9, 2024). If you are not following Helene (and her husband Michael!) you are truly missing out. They have both been a source of inspiration to me when it comes to showing up authentically online (which is soo hard to do!). I actually have an upcoming trip planned based on their review that I can't wait to share with all of you!

SO what do we talk about... well we only have about 4,000 weeks to live and we spend so much time doing the things that we don't matter and don't light us up. Helene wouldn't settle for that and now she's inspiring millions to follow their dreams. Helene and her husband lived in Germany, came back to the US and now live in Oxford, England.

One of my biggest takeaways from Helene is that no one is going to tell our stories if we don't. We are in charge of our own destiny so it's time to start acting like it. I was fortunate enough to get to read a few chapters ahead of release and I was blown away by some of these never before shared stories from Helene's travels!

THE single best thing you can do for a new author is to buy the book and share about it and I promise this book is for everyone. The link to order is down below!!

In Episode 116, Sam is back to guest host a special edition ask me anything with Alyson. Sam has full reign to ask any and all questions around embodiment coaching, breathwork, and reiki / energy healing and she's asking all the questions you've been curious about but maybe a bit hesitant to ask!

Perhaps you've been wondering:

  • What is energy healing / Reiki?
  • What lead Alyson to this work? What did that journey look like?
  • What does a coaching session look like?
  • How do you know if you are looking for a full coaching container versus a one off breathwork and/or Reiki session?
  • For a reiki session - Does the client control the session or does the practitioner?
  • What does a reiki session look like? What does the session feel like?
  • If you're still a little skeptical (like Sam and maybe a bit more on the science side of things) what are some practices you can do on your own that might help you to understand if this somatic work is something you want to learn more about?

If you've had questions around coaching, breathwork, reiki and you've never had the opportunity to ask then this one is for you!

In Episode 114, Alyson is diving into what it means to really DO THE WORK. Are you the person the reads all the personal development books but doesn't answer any of the self-reflection questions? Are you the person that pays to work with the coach but doesn't do any of the suggested exercises? Same. But today I'm spilling the details on how I shifted that. In this conversation, Alyson also explores what working with a life coach looks like, what kind of coach she is and whether she's the type of coach you are looking for! Ready to dive in? In Episode 102, we're talking how to survive chaos and how to thrive in chaos. We dive into how Alyson shifted from not really 'thriving' in chaos (even though her internal narrative was 'I am thriving in the chaos') to feeling more confident and in control in chaotic seasons. Khloe defines 'chaos resiliency' as "I am controlling my day vs. my day is controlling me" and we deep dive how that sentiment resonates for both of us. We discuss how chaos filled seasons have felt in our bodies when we weren't thriving and how we've each personally made the transition to feeling safe and grounded when we find ourselves in similar seasons now. Come explore how chaos shows up in our worlds with us!

Khloe shares her experience transitioning out of a longer darker dark season & I share more of what it feels like to be sitting in a more confusing dark season after coming out of light season. We deep dive the importance of consciously doing the growth work in the dark seasons & practicing self-care and self-compassion along the way. We chat about how the dark seasons are helping us to qualify ourselves so we can bloom in the next light season. In Episode 88, we're talking vulnerability. In Episode 87, Khloe brought up the human tendency to make ourselves palatable which lead us to a in-depth conversation on vulnerability: Are we engaging with life from a true place of vulnerability? or are we just trying to make ourselves palatable & labeling it vulnerability?

In today's conversation we deep dive the fear of vulnerability and how this shows up in our relationships, in the workplace, in friends circles and family dynamics. We talk about how vulnerability doesn't necessarily feel safe in our bodies and how we are personally working through our lived experiences with the intention to show up with more vulnerability with the hope that someday vulnerability will feel safer but in the meantime how were disrupting the patterns and cycles that led us to where we are now.

In Episode 84, we're deep diving this idea of seeking control but being met with resistance. This is a theme I've seen reflected a lot in my varying circles of influence recently and knowing this is something I've for sure struggled with in different seasons and how hard it can be to recognize on your own, it felt like time to talk it out!

Can you relate to that feeling of just grasping for control at every corner and just feeling like you're spinning your wheels? I know that feeling all too well. Typically when we find ourselves grasping for control it's because we've come up against something that feels really unpredictable, unstable or just insecure. In these instances, we can try to force and will the thing we're after into existence. But truthfully control is just an illusion. Let's dive into where that resistance is coming from and ponder 'is control what you're actually seeking?'

In Episode 83, I'm sharing an unpopular opinion around how we're really only hurting ourselves by rushing away the uncomfortable messy middle seasons in order to get to the next box on the success checklist. The in-between seasons are where the most transformational growth happens. These are the seasons that qualify us to handle the stuff we think we are ready for.

Today's conversation is a lot of self-reflection but I'm also seeing these lessons reflected back in new ways recently. When we can't clearly tell the world who we most authentically are, we're inclined to want to show up the way we perceive society to WANT us to show up. And in trying to be someone else, it feels easy to push for that next check box. But by rushing through those messy seasons, we miss the opportunity to find our own unique voice. We miss sitting in the mess - you know - the hard stuff that qualifies us to take on the harder stuff.

In this conversation I'm for sure spilling the tea on years of navigating toxic corporate bs but the hurt is what transformed me into the compassionate human-first leader I am today! Looking back is totally uncomfortable, but really every 'bad' thing that happened was qualifying me to be the leader I am today and that is a leader that drives impact. Curious - can you relate to anything I shared?

In Episode 82, we're diving into how to best support yourself in uncomfortable seasons of change. Recently I had a team member share that they were feeling really uncomfortable with change. They asked for resources for how to feel more confident in these uncertain seasons and I figured they for sure are not the only person that feels this way! And so today I'm sharing all my tools for navigating uncomfortable feelings around change. The moment I decided to make a conscious decision around being okay with change was when change became easier to flow through. But what I've come to realize that different seasons require different tools and today I want to ponder the question 'What actually feels supportive to YOU in this season of life?'

There is real power in learning to sit with the duality of emotion. For example, It's okay to feel sad and excited at the same time. Discomfort around change is normal and something we all go through but my hope is today's conversation normalizes this part of the human experience.

The conversation ends up down a 'learning to lead authentically' leadership rabbit hole (which I was totally okay with!). We talk about the struggle behind chasing the constantly moving goal post, we dive into learning to trust our inner & outer voices, but most importantly we reflect on how doing the self growth work allows you to show up and use your powerful voice to lead authentically. In the episode Sarah shares that she 'wishes more millennials knew the impact they could have' and that hit on a different level. That is the dream! Episode 78 is Part 2 of my building culture mini series. In today's conversation I'm diving into why investing in & building people is the key to shifting culture in real time. But with building people comes a lot of emotional labor. In the book Radical Candor, they talk about how “Emotional labor is not just part of the job; it’s the key to being a good boss” and so we're diving into why this matters!

I share insight into why it so important for people to be able to bring their whole selves to work. We discuss why building the whole person matters and how we as leaders have an opportunity to get to know our teams on a new level. We talk about learning our employees key motivators (Check out the Motivation Code by Todd Henry!) and how learning what each person needs to avoid boredom & burnout is so key to building an engaged team. To wrap up, we chat how as the leader you are really more of the editor than the author!

Episode 77 is Part 1 of a 2-part Episode on Building Culture. If you aren't familiar with my story, I spent 15 years working in Entertainment Industry in a completely toxic work culture. After hitting my own personal rock bottom, I started over in the financial tech industry. I went from independent contributor to people leader all while going through a certification program to become a life coach. I have found my life coaching skills to be completely transferrable to my new position as a people leader and I'm sharing my thoughts & insight behind how I believe millennial leaders can shift the paradigm in front of us.

In today's conversation I share my personal experiences with what I see working, what I see NOT working, and why I truly believe middle managers are uniquely positioned to create change and lead the corporate shift to a 'people first' approach.

In our next episode we'll dive more into why I think people first matters and the realities that come with the emotional labor of being a strong people leader.

In Episode 75, I'm sharing my journey to healing my inner people pleaser & inviting you to come along for the ride.

"So if you're looking for permission to do something differently, seeking permission to try something new - consider this your sign from the universe. Permission Granted."

But I'll let you in on a little secret... you don't need my permission - you only need your own!

From the blog:
"People pleasing… something I've been asked countless times to cover on the podcast and yet the timing never felt quite right. It's a conversation that has surfaced in many of my circles, under many different circumstances and yet because it wasn't front & center in my world - I wasn't sure what value I could add to conversation in that space.

And then I started to notice a recurring theme in many of my 1:1 client sessions - from setting goals to ‘ditch the inner people pleaser’ to committing to action steps where ‘no’ is actually a full sentence, it seemed like the desire to heal this wound was surfacing at every corner. I was hearing it from peers, coworkers, executives in the hallway. It came up on nearly every coffee date with a friend. The message was loud and clear - millennials are done with people pleasing…

And so I started to note the similar sentiments, observe the associated feelings, and to describe the environments in which these thoughts surfaced in my journal. And that was where I realized it was connected to this craving… this desire… for permission to come from an external source.

It wasn't all that long ago that I found myself in a similar place in life seeking external permission to make any change even when deep down I could feel what was aligned & right.

So - WHAT CHANGED?

I stopped WAITING for permission and started to GIVE myself permission to do the things that felt right to me, even if it went against the grain."

Meet Sarah Waisler
Sarah did a year-long juice fast to heal herself from conditions doctors told her were chronic, progressive, and incurable. By the time she was 25, she had been diagnosed with over a dozen health conditions, was living with a wheelchair, a feeding tube, had been in organ failure multiple times, was rejected from major medical centers and top specialists for being too complicated, and was ready to give up. Instead, from a single, powerful conversation, Sarah chose hope.

On November 15, 2019 Sarah started her juice fast as one person and ended it on November 16th 2020 as someone completely different. She not only healed her physical body of all of the symptoms and conditions she was told would kill her, she also healed her emotional body which is what allowed the physical healing to take place. Since recognizing the universal truth that we are all magic and that we all have the ability to heal from whatever it is that we are experiencing, Sarah has made it her mission to share this message with the world. She regularly speaks on podcasts and is breaking into the world of public speaking, she is writing a book on her story as well as a children's book, and she has developed a coaching program to walk women through their own healing journies. In episode 65 we dive into all things culture with Angela Howard. Angela is an organizational psychologist, culture strategist and social entrepreneur working to build human-centric workplaces, better leaders and thriving communities along-side growth minded leaders. Her mission is to create more human-centric workplaces that send happier and more fulfilled humans home to further enrich their communities and society. Research has also shown that the anxiety and fatigue from surface acting spills over to harm home life, in the form of reduced helping at home, insomnia, and increased alcohol consumption.”

When we feel stuck in life, what we often need most is to move in a different direction. But transition itself can often feel challenging. To openly be able to change course is something that needs to be practiced. In our Season 1 Finale, I welcome Jillian Smith for a conversation that I’m sure will leave you feeling a little more capable to take on the hard stuff in your own life. Jillian speaks to how she overcame the challenges of being a young professional amid a pandemic, the bold but necessary risks that showed up while she was growing through the hard stuff, the mind/gut correlation as it pertains to gut health, and so much more. When she felt stagnant, the smallest actions mattered most and she's here to remind you to that even the hard stuff is only temporary!

About Jillian Smith:

Jillian Smith is a gut health dietitian with a special focus in functional medicine to uncover the root cause of every client's gut issues and get rid of unwanted symptoms for good. For Jillian, understanding digestive struggles is her thing because she's been there. For years she bounced through doctor appointments, completing lab work and other tests, just to be told that everything looked "normal".

Her mission is to instil within every client that gut symptoms are valid and 100% not normal. Jillian helps clients heal their gut and experience life symptom-free through the RIGHT testing, proper nutrition, personalised lifestyle, and supplement interventions.

Outline of the episode:

● [06:11] The 'Intern' experience during the pandemic

9/11 taught us how unstable our external world was. The financial crash taught us that careers are not guaranteed even if you work hard. These pivotal shifts in our external world challenged our core beliefs and has left our generation searching for answers for more than a decade. The Covid-19 pandemic taught us to pause and gave us the opportunity to do the soul growth work that was so very much needed but ignored as we wore ‘busy’ as a badge of honor. Alyssa believes many of the struggles we collectively experienced over the last year were a direct result of the forced pause and the fact that majority of people simply weren’t adequately equipped to face that level of discomfort.

With this, Alyssa shares her personal experience with resigning from her eight-year career in the corporate world—to relate to the collective feeling. In the summer of 2018, Alyssa resigned and found herself in a pause. She was forced to sit with and confront feelings, health issues, and with questions she had long avoided. It was at that point that Alyssa started to see the connection between connecting with the natural world and how she felt. Curious whether nature could be the answer she was looking for, Alyssa felt called to start the ‘Our Nature’ podcast which is all about learning to connect back to the natural world. Life is really about pieces of calm between transitional seasons, and through her work, Alyssa teaches us to cultivate an inner stability and inner resilience that will help us to weather life’s storms with ease.

To learn more about Alyssa's story and her upcoming ‘Homecoming’ retreat/course debuting this Fall be sure to stick around until the end of the episode!

In this episode, Lindsey shares a recent life lesson she learned from a community she’s apart of. From speaker-author Nataly Kogan, Lindsey explains how the struggle is optional. Life will always have challenges, but we don't have to struggle with each of those challenges. It’s about how we learn to shape our thoughts in response to problems and how we choose to approach them. So many of the struggles we face are rooted in how we react to external events. There's no denying that challenges are real, but the struggle is often brought about by our own thoughts and actions. Choosing to face challenges with negative energy will only amplify the struggle.

Learn to find the lesson in your struggle in this episode of But, What If You Did? with Lindsey Williams!

About Lindsey Williams:

Lindsey Williams is the co-founder of MyUTI, a millennial mom and entrepreneur living through the messy middle of life's transitions with work, friendships, and family. She is married with two kids and resides in Atlanta.

Episode Highlights:

  • [06:13]It's more about who you know than what you know.
  • [09:35]Let’s talk perception!
  • [11:28]Lacking experience doesn’t mean lacking ability.
  • [14:54]Why products may fail or succeed regardless of how good they are.
  • [19:14]Why what worked for the previous generation may not work for us.
  • [22:28]The concept of struggle vs. challenge.
  • [24:32] Millennials are a transitional generation!
  • [29:38]The necessary inward reflection work were facing as a generation.
  • [35:20]Risk-averse vs. risk acceptant.
  • [43:51]Sometimes it’s about "Learning the lesson."

“There is nothing passive about mindfulness. One might even say that it expresses a specific kind of passion—a passion for discerning what is subjectively real in every moment. It is a mode of cognition that is, above all, undistracted, accepting, and (ultimately) nonconceptual. Being mindful is not a matter of thinking more clearly about experience; it is the act of experiencing more clearly, including the arising of thoughts themselves. Mindfulness is a vivid awareness of whatever is appearing in one’s mind or body—thoughts, sensations, moods—without grasping at the pleasant or recoiling from the unpleasant.” - Sam Harris - 'Waking Up: A Guide to Spirituality without Religion'
