We of course have our normal news segment, which this week includes comments made by a creator of the CW's Arrowverse as well as casting news for the upcoming Hellboy reboot. We hope you enjoyed this weeks episode and if you would like more from us, you can find us on Instagram @marvelouscinemapodcast where we post reviews, opinions and most recently reels! Hi everyone, we're back with another episode. I do have to apologise, this week's episode is slightly marred by an unfortunate audio issue but we have decided to put it out anyway since we only realised after we'd recorded the whole thing. We'd rather put it out there, with it being some content rather than nothing. Next week we hope to have the issue fixed however. The main topic for the episode, is a part 1 of a BIG discussion on the legendary Doctor Who! With both of us being such huge fans of the show, and having grown up watching it, it's something that really is close to our hearts. This part one covers the entirety of Russell T Davies' initial run, when the show was revived in the mid 2000s.We hope that you were still able to enjoy the show, and we thank you for your support. If you'd like more from us, you can find us on Instagram @marvelouscinemapodcast. Have a lovely day.

It's time. Time for us to discuss The Batman. At long last, Matt Reeves' interpretation of the character is finally here, and it's no understatement to say that there's a lot to discuss. Did it live up to the incredible hype that had been built up? We talk about the characters, the performances, the visuals, the music, the batsuit, the batcave and so much more. It's a bumper film, so we've got a length episode for you (you're welcome).

Look at this, consecutive weeks. Who'd have thought? We're back, and don't you worry, we've brought you another dissection of popular media with a side of existential theology. Now, how many podcasters can say they've delivered that? This week, we're charting the shaky territory that is the Marvel v DC debate, in terms of films and tv shows anyway. Don't worry, we're not doing the angry 'i hate Marvel/DC' thing, we're approaching this as fans of both looking to talk about exactly how things have gone for both franchises over the past 14 years (holy s***, 14 years?!?!) with their 'shared universes', as well as what the future holds. We talk statistics, world building strategies, tonal shifts, studio panics, creative freedom and much much more! If you enjoyed it, please do join us again! We're back again! The podcast returns after a hiatus, refreshed and more lively than ever. In our return we talk about the films we're looking forward to in the 2022 (let's hope we haven't jinxed it). We even have room for an existential crisis at the end. What more could you want?

We're back, it's been a few weeks, but we haven't gone anywhere. We've got quite a deep discussion today as we talk about the state of the modern blockbuster and the impact of nostalgia. We go over how more often than not, in order to get a blockbuster made at the moment it has to be based on an already existing IP, and how this might impact the future opportunities for original ideas. Despite it being Christmas, it's probably one of our more serious episodes, but we do still manage to end of a few hopes for the future! If you enjoyed it, please do join us again! We're back, once again on our actual Monday. Two weeks in a row, it's a miracle. Anyway, our topic this week is stuff we've been watching (and playing in one case) recently and would recommend. We're all over the place; we've got groundedness in HBO's The Leftovers, wacky comedy with Aunty Donna, choice-based sci-fi in the Mass Effect trilogy and the weirdness of David Lynch's Twin Peaks. Wow, an episode released on the arranged day? This is a rare sighting. Only fitting then that the film we're talking about is quite the show stealer. James Gunn's The Suicide Squad has hit theatres (and HBO Max if you're in that part of the world), and it's fair to say that fans have taken to it rather well. We talk and analyse a rather profound moment from Harley Quinn, James Gunn's signature emotional punches, a ton of character arcs as well as what the future holds for the squad, DC and of course James Gunn himself. That's only scratching the surface of this episode!

So we've really wanted to address this for a while, and we thought now was the perfect time. As of yet, we've not had a trailer (apparently some people have noticed) so all the rumours are still on the table and we've got absolutely no clue what's actually going on, which is probably what's made this episode so fun (and frustrating). In this week's episode we talk about the latest entry into the Star Wars universe, The Bad Batch. This week on the Podcast, we're covering the two big comic book shows that have concluded over the last few weeks: Falcon & the Winter Soldier, and Invincible. And boy do we have a lot to talk about. Marvel's second Disney+ show has us talking about comic book politics, creative 'choices', some bad-ass costumes, Bucky at a barbecue and a lot more. You read that last one right. Amazon's Invincible however has been a different kettle of fish. It also has us talking about powerful themes, as we dive deep into subversive storytelling, wonderful animation among other things, all while making some bold statements. We hope you can join us and feel free to share your own thoughts on these things; you can find us on Instagram (@marvelouscinemapodcast) and on Twitter (@CinemaMarvelous) where we also produce other original content. If you did enjoy, please do leave a like, a comment or even a review; it all helps us out so much. Have a lovely day!

This week on the Podcast, we're talking about those films and TV shows that absolutely went for it. By that we mean when they decide to just do the biggest, most ambitious thing they can think of, risking so much in order to deliver something truly great. We talk about our favourite examples, as well as a few instances where it didn't quite come off. Matthew can't help but seize the opportunity to talk about his new favourite TV show, Fringe, and Henry gets the chance to remind Matthew exactly why he should continue watching the Fast & Furious movies. If you enjoyed, please leave a like, a comment, or even a review because they help us out so much and we really appreciate it. If you want more original content, including written reviews and opinion posts, or just want to interact with us, you can find us on Instagram (@marvelouscinemapodcast) and on Twitter (@CinemaMarvelous). So this week, we've decided to take on the juggernauts of pop culture that are Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb. We've all been there, we've watched a movie and formed our thoughts on it (for the sake of positivity, let's say we loved it) and out of curiosity you check what the rest of the world thought only to see a discouragingly low Rotten Tomatoes score. A lot of emphasis is sometimes put on these ratings, with there even being eager anticipation from some ahead of the 'Tomatometer' reveal, but we're here to discuss how important these ratings actually are. Join us as we go through various movies with ratings we greatly disagree with and don't worry, there are also plenty of wild tangents this week. We'd also like to say that since we're dealing with people's opinions, this is all done in good humour and no offense is intended. Everyone has every right to like or dislike something without others demeaning them, and we fully respect that. If you enjoyed, please leave a like, a comment or even a review to share your thoughts; it's all really appreciated. If you'd like more from us you can find us on Instagram (@marvelouscinemapodcast) and on Twitter (@CinemaMarvelous). Have a wonderful day!

Hi and welcome back to the podcast, and this week we're talking about episodes that made good TV shows GREAT. You know what we're talking about, that moment when you're enjoying a tv show and you reach a point where something happens that makes you think 'Holy S***', this is more than just 'good'. It's that moment when you realise that you're gonna remember this show for a very long time. Well, this week we're discussing those kinds of episodes. We have some hot-takes on Breaking Bad, Matthew manages to get his latest obsession, Fringe, in there and so much more. if you enjoyed please leave a like, a comment or even a review since they help us out so much. Hi guys and welcome back to the podcast for this week's episode where we discuss Zack Snyder's Justice League! Who'd have thought we'd actually be here talking about this? It went from a conspiracy theory to a pipe dream and now to a fully fledged 4 hour epic of a film. We go through what we like, what we loved, what we weren't so keen on and what we think might be next for this franchise. If you enjoyed, please leave a like, a comment or even a review, since they all help us out so much. Hi guys and welcome back to the podcast for this week's episode. We're talking about the Fantastic Four. What a history this franchise has. We go over the two original films from the 2000s, the stuff we liked and the stuff we didn't. They're... unusual movies. Of course, there's also the 2015 reboot which we review, but in all honesty it becomes more like a rant. With the famous family coming to the MCU in the coming years, we also do a good old bit of speculation because if recent history has proven anything it's that the more fan theories the better, right? Anyway we do a cheeky fan casting, because it's fun. If you enjoyed, please leave a like, a comment or even a review, since they all help us out so much. Hi guys, this week we're talking about the now concluded WandaVision! We go over what we liked, what we loved, what we weren't so keen on and what we're taking away from Marvel's Disney+ debut. Inevitably, we delve into a few theories (risky right now, I know) for what the future holds, but don't worry we're not getting ahead of ourselves. Hi guys and welcome back to the podcast. This week, we're taking a slightly different approach. Basically, we're making movies fight against each other (maybe against their will, who knows, maybe they're up for it). We cover some great movie discussions as we, your trusty hosts, attempt to find a winner. Because that's the only way that you judge a movie on the internet right? I'm kidding. We'd like to just say that while we're talking about altering people's work, this is all good natured and we mean no disrespect to the people that worked on these projects. Writing and directing is a tough job and we respct that immensely. If you enjoyed this episode, please do leave a like, a comment or even a follow. Hello, and welcome back again, for our first feature upon our return after the Christmas break. Of course before we left we were unbelievably excited for the release of Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker and here we talk through our thoughts on the Saga's concluding chapter. We're a little late to the party, so we talk about the situation of Star Wars and basically give ourselves the opportunity to defend the sequel trilogy from what we deem to be unnecessary hate. Be warned: this is Star Wars talk.
