Every time the phrase “recurring revenue” is brought up in industry circles, it seems like every suggestion is non wildlife related… General pest services, snow plowing, pressure washing, lawn care…
In this episode I share some recurring revenue strategies that have proven to work WITHOUT having to put a plow blade on the front of your truck or tow a trailer with mowers behind you.

This episode we talk with Tracy Sullivan of the Wildlife Operators Living Fund to share with you W.O.L.F.’s mission to support the Nuisance Wildlife Industry.
If after listening to this episode, you find it in your heart to support this mission, I ask that you join Kandace and I in our commitment and help create opportunities for W.O.L.F. to provide support with a monthly commitment. If we get 9 other operators/owners to commit to $250 or more a month that would make a HUGE impact in the work WOLF can accomplish.

I made a stupid decision to ignore a growing problem, until it was too late.
This episode explains our most recent podcast absence and my hopes are it will keep a few of you from making the same mistakes I have made the past few months.
Mental health is something not talked about in our circles enough. I am not naive enough to think this podcast is going to affect a massive change in the combined mental health of our industry, but maybe you will see a reflection of yourself in my story and start the journey to be better to yourself than you are today.

Took some time off because we had to move our offices, because I pissed off our landlord, because I can be a moron sometimes. Trying to stay on top of all that you need to for successful Google Ads and business listings can be stressful.
Every time you think you have it figured out they go and move the goal posts. Then you go online in the groups and see other companies getting their profile suspended or worse, deleted, and that’s enough to frighten any business owner.

The irony is not lost on me that the podcast I am recording late in the week is about consistency.
When it comes to content, consistency is not just about how often you post. It is about HOW you post, WHAT you post, and WHERE you post. From your blog, to social media, to even paid commercials on television or radio, having consistent themes to your content is VITAL!

This week’s episode comes from an email I received asking if it is a smart move to have our in person live community events showing attendees the materials, traps, and tools we use. The emailer was worried that if I shared too much, what would prevent the viewer/attendee from just doing it themselves
So we talk about the seminars we host, how we create them, execute them, and use them to add new clients and more revenue to our ledger EVERY MONTH for little to no investment.

It’s a common question posted in the online groups and forums by new operators, “What trap should I buy starting out?”.

Many wildlife operators struggle in the early years of their businesses with scaling and being able to “be all places at all times”. One answer to staffing a production related stressors can be the implementation of subcontractors in your labor pool.
Join us on this episode as we share with you how implementation of roofing, insulation, landscaping, and power washing subcontractors has allowed us growth with less liability and overhead than conventional staffing.

On this week’s episode we talk about the visuals of the vehicles in our fleet. Whether you have one truck or multiples on the road, the image, behavior, cleanliness, and marketing on that vehicle give an impression of your company. The question you have to ask yourself is whether that is the impression you are intending to give.
