This discussion provides a report back on a Town Hall meeting on 1/14/15 about body cameras "for police by police". It also expands on investigative journalism, social control and for profit media narratives coded in the hxstorical legacies and interests of interlocking systems of domination.
We get in deep in what it means to heal from abuse, traumas, and tragedy often caused by the state and capitalism, but also interpersynally.
The dialogue reveals coping mechanisms that have worked for some individual participants of On Resistance. And explores and discusses other methods of healing.
In the first portion of the show we discuss the growing racial tensions after the non indictment of Darren Wilson for the murder Mike Brown. We also express outrage at the current injustice system's view of black life in general. In the second portion we discuss the activity in the Los Angeles area regarding police tactics, co-optation, and how our struggles for liberation might garner more support and sustain its momentum.
