Refugee Boy (arriving in England)

Dear Diary,
today is the first day that I try to write to you in English!
I have just arrived in England and I want to explain you how my last two days were. I know I still have to get used to their strange traditions, I know I still have to get used to drinking a curious drink that in English is called "tea" every day. I also know I still have to get used to speaking English more fluently because it is an interesting language that allows me to communicate with everyone in this country and in many parts of the world but I know that I will be able to do all these particular things!
What I have notice, in England is that so many people drink tea; everywhere you go, people ask if you want a cup of tea. Here people drink it every five minutes!
When we arrived in England there was a man at the airport who looked at my passport and he had bizarre hair, it was red like the sunset. It seemed burnt. Later my dad told me that that type of hair is called "ginger" and that in England I will see many people with this colour of hair.
I loved the large airport building, it reminded me of space stations that I had seen in science-fiction films. At the airport I also saw many people from different places like "Sikhs" from India that were waiting for the plane. The weather of that day was extremely bad in fact it started raining.
The next day my father and me caught a bus from Datchet to Reading and then a train from Reading to Central London where we saw a lot of famous places like Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and more. My favourite monument was the Tower of London.
It was very unusual, the fact that the cars were standing in traffic jams most of the time.
Guess: Where did we go for lunch? We went to an Italian restaurant and I ate spaghetti, my favourite pasta!
In order not to forget this beautiful country I decide to take a postcard of my favourite monument and to put it in this page.
