Profile of DJ Kanu: known to his close friends and family as Thabiso: DJ Kanu was born, bread and buttered in the township of Soshanguve (Pretoria) South Africa, in Gauteng. This friendly fellow started his DJ career in 2003 as a mobile Dj at parties around Pretoria. He received major recognition in 2004, when he held residency at a most prominent club in Gauteng (Octo_Lounge), the club ultimately closed in xxxxx. Since then he has never stopped driving folk’s crazy with his style of sexy Soulful House music, he basically played almost everywhere in and around Pretoria, from the dance floor to his most raved about Mix tapes [deejaykanu@podomatic.com]. This wicket guy basically grew up at the dance floor. If you ask him, he’s always single… oooo!!

Dj Kanu belongs to the Sunday Imbizo moniker, which is responsible for organising the most raved parties around Pretoria, which has featured some of the best and world renowned DJs. He has shared the stage and continues to play alongside most of SA’s and international best jocks ,including Vinny Da Vinci, Vick Lavender, Black Coffee, Christos, Positive K,Trinidadiandeep,Ganyani,Lulo Café,Thobs,Skinndeep,Mr.Cee,Miggs, Glen Lewis .the list goes on.. He is not only the best behind the decks, but he is also a Co-Owner of cocktail bar rendering company called Spinned Up Junkies - caters for all sorts of events from private to corporate celebrations.
