ShyBoy is a vocalist, songwriter, DJ, and producer whose music has garnered over 50M streams. His songs have been featured in RuPaul’s Drag Race, Dynasty, America’s Next Top Model, Devil May Cry 4, Halloween, and more. An array of artists have collaborated with him, including the Emmy Award-winning RuPaul; hip-hop artist SlimKid3 (The Pharcyde); DJs Robot Koch, Eddie Amador, and Darude; musician Matt McJunkins (A Perfect Circle); Grammy-nominated songwriter Wendy Waldman; Saturn Award-winning writer/producer Bryan Fuller (Hannibal); and Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning songwriter Allee Willis.

Named Best Solo Artist in LA Weekly’s 10th Annual Best of L.A. awards, ShyBoy has appeared on stage with acts such as Flo Rida and Amanda Palmer and has toured North America with his critically acclaimed band Hypnogaja. He’s held residencies at LA’s prestigious Hotel Café and with the infamous Bootie Mashup (LA, San Francisco, NYC, Las Vegas, Berlin). He also co-founded the legendary MaDonna Summer dance party with gold-selling record producer Mark Nubar. In February 2020, he was the featured DJ at the official premiere party for the West Side Story revival on Broadway in NYC.

Revry’s 2020 QueerX Film Festival chose ShyBoy’s “Backroom” as an official music video selection. Celebrating the evolution of LGBTQ+ leather subculture and evoking dimly lit dance floors of a different kind, “Backroom” (directed by Michael Bodie) has been described by World of Wonder as “a gritty masterpiece.” The Hollywood Music In Media Awards officially nominated the “Backroom” single for a 2021 award in the Alternative music category.

The lyrics, melodies, and synth soundscapes of ShyBoy’s latest single "The Sky Is Falling" flow together to create a dreamy and uplifting message of love, healing, and acceptance. The words flow across the song's upbeat pulse with a sense of hope that has the power to sustain us through even the darkest of times: "If the sky starts falling down / We can build it all back up again."

Recent projects featuring ShyBoy on lead vocals include: “1981,” the debut single from orchestral sci-fi collective Warningfield (a collaboration with Grammy-nominated composer/producers Jim Guttridge and Sean Hosein); and “Silence,” the latest single by Berlin-based electronic recording artist Purple Kaiser (of Kaiser Souzai). ShyBoy is currently in the studio working on new music, including a remix of the Wang Chung synth pop classic “To Live and Die in L.A.”

Listen to "Superhero" on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2RTxSQw Watch the "Superhero" lyric video: https://youtu.be/n3iWPqKSTbc

ShyBoy's gifts as a colorful storyteller and emotive vocalist are highlighted beautifully on "Superhero." An alchemy of childlike wonder and mature honesty drives the song’s sweet and vulnerable tone: “I wanna be the Superman/I wanna fly in with a big red cape/I wanna save the world and then/Maybe I can save myself.” With these words and an engaging melody, ShyBoy makes a very personal statement with universal appeal.

“Superhero” Lyrics by ShyBoy; Music by ShyBoy and Mark Nubar

I wanna be the Superman I wanna fly in with a big red cape I wanna save the world and then Maybe I can save myself

I wanna be the dark knight In shining armor and do all those cool things I wanna make the world safe again So that I can hold you close

I just wanna be the good guy and save the day So I can hold you tightly And have you never pull away

All I, all I wanna be is your superhero

I wanna be like Wonder Woman Tie you up with my lasso of truth Make you speak with honesty So I can finally know what’s real

I wanna be like the Super Friends With special powers but unique in their own way Squad goals on Instagram With a hundred million likes

All I want is to make things right For all the wrong reasons I wanna save the world Cause I wanna feel your love I wanna save the world Cause right now I really need a hug

Up up and away, I’ll fly away with you Up up and away, we can fly away

ShyBoy - Lottery (Single) https://spoti.fi/32Mo269 • https://apple.co/2KpM28x

"Lottery" Written and Produced by ShyBoy, Jeff Hoeppner, and Mark Nubar

If I could win the lottery  All the troubles I’d forget  No more pain and no regret  You'd see We could build a family  And pay off all our debt  And never have to hedge our bets

If we could be rich then we'd be free  Finally free to find some peace  All the troubles we'd forget  At least until the money's spent  We could just forget  Until the money's spent

If I could win the lottery  I'd buy a house or two  And maybe one just for you  We'll see  We could do anything  And we'd get away with it And we'd buy a whole bunch of useless shit

If you could have  Anything because the sky's the limit  What would you want If money wasn't in the way  What would it take  To make it feel like enough When is too much too much  Fill your heart with stuff  If money can't buy you love

If I could win the lottery  That would be the best thing yet  I would have safety net, finally

"U Can Get It" Written, Produced, and Arranged by ShyBoy, Jeff Hoeppner, and Mark Nubar Performed by ShyBoy

(Just let it ride)

Either it’s really nice to meet u Or I’ve known u for a while I’m not sure if u see through The intent of my smile I think u might be unaware Cause I’ll look but never stare And u might not even care But, u can get it

Let me know

Come and get it If u want it ‘Cause u know That u can get some If u want it U can get it ‘Cause I got it Come and have some  U can get it

I can be a little shy I guess I’m just that guy Sometimes I don’t speak Or say what I think But I’ll show u a f**k of a good time I don’t need a bunch of words Clouding up my every move I’m trying to let you know When push comes to flow There’s really nothing left to prove

I see you looking like you might Maybe just one night U let me know if it’s right ‘Cause, u can get it  I’m not trynta chase u down, no That’s not really my style  But if you’re feeling kinda wild now U can get it

Let me know

Come and get it If u want it ‘Cause u know That u can get some (Get some of this funk) If u want it U can get it ‘Cause I got it Come and have some  U can get it (I’m trying to help you out baby)

Get some of this oooh ahhh ahhh Get some of this ahhh oooh Get some of this oooh ahhh ahhh Get some of this

(So if you’re ever feeling even the slightest bit thirsty, you can get a sip)

I could take you to a disco  Anyplace that you wanna go I’m just trying to let you know U can get it We can kick it the backroom Or dance under the full moon Anything that you want to ‘Cause you can get it

If u feel Like u deserve a treat I can be that treat baby Or I can be a meal Go ahead and take a bite of me Take a big ol’ bite shuga

Just let me know

And it’s ok if u don’t want it But I got it Just in case u do, baby

"Backroom"  (Jason Arnold, Jeff Hoeppner, Mark Nubar) Performed by ShyBoy

Red light, black walls After-hours last call Small room, big sound Slicked back and torn down It’s a little fantasy Escaping my reality When the thump goes boom In the backroom

If u come on in, we can begin

U can get just what u want If u know where 2 go, what 2 do Find just what u need 2 find Come and join me inside the backroom

Oooh oooh oooh oooh Oooh oooh oooh oooh Oooh oooh oooh oooh oooh

Backlit silhouette Feel a kiss on your neck (Blushed cheeks u can’t see,  u can feel them from inside) It’s a new reality That’s shaping all my fantasies (Skin tight and them curves long, u can the trust the lust inside) When the thump goes boom In the backroom (U can find me where there’s none to stare, if u dare to come inside)

If u come on in, we can begin

U can get just what u want If u know where 2 go, what 2 do Find just what u need 2 find Come and join me inside the backroom

Oooh oooh oooh oooh Oooh oooh oooh oooh Oooh oooh oooh oooh oooh

Blushed cheeks u can’t see U can feel them from inside Skin tight and them curves long U can the trust the lust inside U can find me where there’s none to stare If u dare to come inside If it’s a little bit nasty baby It’s alright, it’s alright ‘Cause there’s something about u baby That feels right, so right

HE AND SHE

I never had my body feel so good I never knew the way She know every single place he wants to go And he knows that she finally found the groove in her soul

I felt so lonely in a crowded room I had no words to say He knew that she was watching his confusion grow And she knew that his spirit was getting so low

Oooh, run away Run away, run away from me Oooh, every day Every day, run away from me

I see the pain in your eyes From living a life in disguise I may not be what you think you see outside ‘Cause it’s you and me and he and she inside

You can try to please everyone But you will just exhaust yourself She knew all the things that he would rather do And he knew she was forever drowning in clues

“Can’t Stay With The Pay (Ain’t No Little Fairy Gonna Pop Me A Five For That Tooth)” is the new single by ShyBoy. The song’s electro-pop landscape swirls with percolating synths, melodic vocals, and compelling lyrics co-written with the multi platinum-selling, Emmy and Grammy winning songwriter Allee Willis (co-writer of Earth, Wind & Fire’s classic hit “September,” the theme from the iconic TV series ‘Friends,’ and the Tony-winning Broadway musical ‘The Color Purple’).

CAN'T STAY WITH THE PAY (AIN'T NO LITTLE FAIRY GONNA POP ME A FIVE FOR THAT TOOTH) Written and Produced by ShyBoy, Allee Willis, Jeff Hoeppner, and Mark Nubar

Too loud the noise That occupies the space in my head Too hard those days When it feels like I'm already dead You know, I know We know the truth Ain't no little fairy Gonna pop me a five for that tooth

Money ain't no Compassionate, faithful, loyal friend Who's always there To help out when sanity ends Can't stay with the pay Of this soul-robbing job The price ain't nice And I'm working too hard

And I can't pay the rent And my car's full of dents And I'm eating such shit While my brain starts to split

And it just ain't worth it baby Can't stay with the pay

I'm under no spells Illusions, delusions du jour I'm scared that I Could stay here curled up on the floor So I'm up, I'm not stuck With no proof And I know ain't no little fairy Gonna pop me a five for that tooth

And I can't pay the rent And my car's full of dents And I'm eating such shit While my brain starts to split

And it just ain't worth it baby Can't stay with the pay Can't stay with the pay

I see the light And I know at a minimum I've got to fight For a better life That sometimes can feel so wrong And just drags along But I'm hanging on (How long can I keep hanging on?)

Oh I can't pay the rent And my car's full of dents And I'm eating such shit While my brain starts to split And my cell phone is dead And I can't search the web Cut my credit cards up All I can afford to do is fuck

And it just ain't worth it baby Can't stay with the pay Can't stay with the pay 'Cause I know I'm worth more than you say 'Can't stay with the pay
