In this month's episode of Talking Pioneering Andrew talks to Milverton Hedgerow Chaplain, Steven Wort. Andrew chats to Steven about his role, which is thought to be the first of its kind in the country.
Steven discusses what he calls, 'a new and fresh air approach to church, for those that aren’t too sure about going into the church building for services.' He tells Andrew that new and regular church visitors find it as a natural way to communicate with God in the open air, being and feeling a real part of his natural creation.'
This month Andrew talks to Caroline Deakin who is based at St Peter's Church in Milton, Weston super Mare. They discuss being a revitalising church plant and Caroline's hopes for St Peter's and she shares with Andrew some of the things that have already begun to take shape.

This month Andrew talks to Gill Sakakini.
Gill is a Pioneer Priest in the Arts in Shepton Mallet. She is a painter, works in community engagement, leads retreats and workshops and speaks and writes on topics relating to Christianity and the Arts. She is co-author of Imaging the Story: Rediscovering the Visual and Poetic Contours of Salvation.
This month Andrew talks to Gavin Parry from Weston super Mare. Gavin heads up a movement called Believers in Recovery, something which seeks to bridge the gap between followers of the Lord Jesus and those in recovery from addiction.
Gavin talks about his own journey and struggles, and shares with Andrew how Believers in Recovery came about and how it has grown.
This month Andrew Alden talks to Olivia Shone. Olivia, who is from Bath has a degree in theology and is a qualified yoga instructor. Olivia says she "looks to see the divine in everything and encourages a healthy, body, mind and soul." Join Andrew and Olivia as they chat about all things pioneering.

Revd Tina Hodgett, has handed the podcasting baton on to Pioneer Minister in Frome, Revd Andrew Alden.
In the first episode of the new series, Andrew, who describes himself as an experienced church minister, but a less experienced pioneer, hears from other pioneers about their experiences. He discusses the difficulties and the joys of pioneering in different places and different contexts. This month his guest is Farhad Chermahini, who is a pioneer in Yeovil. Tune in to hear their conversation.
In this, the last of Tina's episodes, she talks to Revd Alex Holmes. They talk rural pioneering and discuss mixed ecology pioneering. Alex tells Tina that she's " been exploring for 4 to 5 years how I saw parish ministry, especially in rural areas – I always had this idea that you needed to do more so I like the idea of mixed ecology."

This month Tina talks to Lindsay Smith who is training for ordained pioneer ministry.
Lindsay shares her experiences and her journey "..suddenly I saw Jesus sat in my garden sat next to me and I went, 'you've been there all the time haven't you?"
Lindsay has a love of the outdoors and nature with that in mind Tina and Lindsay thought it would be an apt to record their conversation outside in the garden. As the conversation flows you can hear the sounds of the garden in the background - at one point they are interupted by a noisy blackbird.
This month Tina chats with Pioneer Tom Tame, they talk about all things pioneering and Tom shares some of his experiences working with young people. Because of covid restrictions Tina and Tom were unable to meet in person, but technology brought them together for a very interesting conversation.
This month Tina talks to Fiona Mayne a pioneer ordinand who lives in Hayward Village a new housing estate near Weston super Mare. Fiona says 'it's been quite a journey since I became a Christian and I'd like to share my journey with everyone.' Join Tina and Fiona as they discuss this and many more ideas about pioneering.
