Gibran ve a Selma como un ser casi inalcanzable, algo etéreo y perfecto, una “antorcha blanca” que ilumina su vida pero que al mismo tiempo, parece inalcanzable. La antorcha no solo simboliza su belleza exterior, sino también la pureza y la intensidad de los sentimientos que Gibran tiene hacia ella. La luz de esa antorcha es lo que lo atrae, pero también, es un recordatorio constante de un deseo puro pero imposible de alcanzar.

I celebrate his service to others, as was the caring for children in the foster system; I love the realization he had: that by giving his time to them, he received more than he could have imagined.
Being born in south Texas from Mexican parents. Bernard left home when he was 18. His journey of over 10 years had taken him where he did not imagine. And, while following the desires of his heart, his dedication, determination and deep respect for nature have been his companion in every step of the way.

Ana's story is just so beautiful and so wonderful. And I give thanks and I celebrate that she was able to conceive, that she and her husband received a beautiful little girl.
I would like to take this opportunity to comment on some of the things that Ana is mentioning in this letter, on her words to you all. She had consulted with several medical professionals; painful and costly exams and they determined nothing! They did not seemed to find anything specifically wrong with her. And yes! I have seen this many times. Couples sometimes are told by doctors that their fertility is fine -his, hers- and sometimes is like. nothing seems to be wrong, however they can't conceive. Now, about 10% of couples are in the situation in which everything seems to be perfectly fine but they will not be able to conceive. It will be for causes that they won't know. But, the majority of couples that we have seen have conceived. And, Ana and her husband were one of them. Now, I want to mention another thing that she was told, she was 34 at the time and her doctor told her that her infertility has to do with her age. and, well it is true! fertility decreases in women after 35 like rapidly! The optimal time for a woman conception is on her twenties.
Homeschool -not so much staying at home as we might think -really!
From basic school subjects to latin and piano lessons; theater, arts, sewing and community days. But over all, honoring God, building relationships and preparing her kids for success; Julia decided to leave her job as a teacher in a public school, and stayed home to educate her kids, in a way that is allowing them to develop their unique talents.
Lety was cared by a wonderful and amazing mother and by a dad that was not only very smart and hard working but as she described him: "old fashion -but progressive".
The reasons why Lety decided to quit her job as a soil scientist and stayed home to raise her children; with the same values and love she received by her parents while growing up in a barrio in Chicago.
