This episode walks you through how to do a Warrior 1 pose. 

Before you start this episode, make sure you have enough space around you to lunge and lift your arms above your head. You can use a chair to help you balance if you need extra support. This episode also goes into detail about how to do the warrior 1. Refer back to this episode whenever you need a refresher.

Warrior 1 is a great pose for finding extension and strength through your body. Give yourself permission to expand into your energy. Follow your breath through this practice and you'll do well.

In this episode, I interview my sister Shelby about what got her onto her yoga journey. She shares her experience getting certified through Yoga Alliance, taking time off of dance due to injury, and some yoga tips.

She shares how her mentor pushed her and helped her through the requirements for her certification. She went through a yoga intensive. 

Together we discuss some of the benefits of yoga practices, how we practice yoga, and how we approach the practice of yoga. We believe that the breath and the movements in yoga help us find mindfulness and focus and connection to our inner selves.

Taking time to relieve tension and stress in our necks and shoulders helps us move through the day with more ease. With backpacks, sedentary lifestyles, and incorrect posture, it's easy to find tension nagging at our necks.

In this episode we'll do a couple of easy arms stretches. Mainly we'll focus on doing eagle arms to open up the lats and other areas around the shoulders.

Remember to set an intention for your individual yoga practice, keep breathing, and dive on in.

It's easy to carry tension in your neck and shoulders. Do yourself a favor and take a few minutes to release some of that building tension.

In this episode we'll do a few simple yoga poses which can be done seated or standing. We start from tall mountain, then go into a shoulder press, and then breath with arms in eagle pose.

Find some space, focus on your breath, and practice yoga where you go.
