In 1993, Gary Sudbrink received a series of phone calls from some unknown source. The caller sounded otherworldly, he told Gary someone was impersonating him, and he should watch the skies. In Northern India, a lake was found with somewhere around five-hundred skeletons, some still holding flesh. The scientists studied the lake and decided everyone had died a thousand years ago, from a hailstorm. More research led them to say the people died in three different events, but still from hailstorms. It was discovered some of the bodies came from India, some from South Asia, and the rest were from Greece. The more people look, the weirder things get.

Rumors abound about any person or group that rises to the top. In 1966, a story began to circulate of the bass guitarist and song writer for the Beatles had been killed in a car crash. Here are a few stories of unsolved mysteries from the 1940s or 50s. The Ourang Medan sent out an SOS saying the crew were all dead. Once help arrived the ship blew up and sank leaving behind nothing but questions. The Awa Maru was torpedoed by the USS Queenfish. The United States Navy was told the Japanese ship was carrying Red Cross relief supplies, but the sole survivor said the cargo was a mystery. One website said, “The pole shift will not directly affect humans.” Now that is good news. Then it went on to say, “however, it will cause a weakened magnetic field, oceanic floods, earthquakes, super volcanos, mass extinctions and loss of electricity. In addition to these natural disasters, there will be also social unrest due to the loss of jobs and devaluation of the local currency.” This sounds like it will have an effect on humans.
It is not exactly known as when the pole shifts will happen, some scientists claim that it could happen in the next couple of thousand years, but others claim that it could even happen in our lifetime and the irreversible magnetic pole shift is already happening. When will the earth’s magnetic field flip? The magnetic poles tend to shift once around every 350 thousand years and the last one happened around 780 thousand years so we are long overdue to a pole shift.
I’m not talking about folks coming north out of Mexico or farther south. Not the folks from Europe or Asia either. I’m talking about the beings that started out coming from a lot farther away.
This got me to thinking about my favorite theory.
I don’t think space beings are flying back and forth from Zeta Reticula each and every day, or week or month. I think that maybe a thousand or several thousand years ago, a ship came from outside our galaxy. More than likely there was more than one. The craft began to orbit the moon, or maybe it set down on the bottom of the ocean. Some folks think the moon itself might be where the aliens are living.
For the sake of the show tonight, any time I say aliens, I’m referring to beings that you might see on the Sci-Fi channel. Big heads and skinny little bodies. Maybe a bug like body. Not human looking, unless you consider the Nordics.
On January 30, 2014, In Gary, Indiana, a little boy walked backward up a wall and ceiling in the presence of his mother, grandmother, a nurse, and CPS worker. "There's no way he could've done that," said the nurse to the Indianapolis Star. The actions are attributed to a demon possession due to a spirit that had been inhabiting the home of 32-year-old Latoya Ammons.

George Van Tassel was born in Jefferson, Ohio in 1910. He grew up in a fairly prosperous middle-class family. He left high school in the 10th grade and went to work at a municipal airport near Cleveland. While working at the airport George got his pilot’s license. At age 20, he moved to California, where he worked as an automobile mechanic at his uncle, Glen Paine’s, garage/gas station. Back then the two went together. Just about every gas station also had a garage where they could fix most things under the hood. You could also buy tires and get an oil change. There was no food and the only drinks were in coolers set next to the wall. Some gas stations did have restaurants attached.
Late at night on August 24, 1953 George awake from his dreams at 2:00 in the morning and saw a flying saucer siting out on the runway. Several people around the airport had seen the craft come down. A “man” came to George and invited him to come over and see their flying craft. George never described the aliens as looking like anything other than men. No green skin no antenna. The man stood about 5 foot 6 and looked to be about 28 years old. If not for the flying craft and their stories George would never have thought they were from anywhere other than the earth. The aliens spoke English with no accent and sounded very well versed. The alien introduced himself as being Zolganda.

Are there flying Saucers using some kind of Death ray or other device? November 1977, a military squad commanded by Captain Uyrange Hollanda was sent to a fishing village to investigate the reports of hostile activity. The people living in Colares Brazil had been seeing some kind of flying craft in the sky that was firing a light beam down at the villagers.

Just thinking about Spontaneous Human Combustion makes me uncomfortable. A person is sitting there, all alone, not doing anything dangerous or even strenuous. Suddenly, they burst into flames and burn to a crisp in so short a time period the furniture they are sitting on is hardly scorched.
Most of the body is reduced to ash in just a few minutes. It takes a crematorium on an average, about two to three hours at 2,000 degrees to cremate a human body, thereby reducing it to 3-7 pounds of cremains. The body is subjected to a jet-engine like column of flame, aimed at the torso. The heat ignites the container and dries the body, which is composed of 75 percent water.

I got onto the subject of Giant Bat Creatures while writing my latest book, Paranormal Laredo. People have reported seeing some kind of giant bat type thing flying around town. Laredo has a cryptid of some kind that a lot of folks have seen.
For as far back as people have been keeping records there have been reports of giant creatures flying around the skies. Some of these were simply huge birds that looked a lot bigger than they actually were due to it being difficult to judge size if you don’t have anything to compare the creature to. A big object all by itself in the sky could be a small bird seen under the wrong circumstances.
Then there were the reports where the observers were able to actually determine the size of the creature by comparing it to some known object.
Indians have talked about the thunder birds for hundreds of years. They also have stories about giant bats that have attacked whole tribes killing off many members.
What is flying over Laredo? Is there some kind of giant bat creature we all need to watch out for?
In 2014, the Broadduses were looking for a new house. After all the usual hunting and searching they found a place at 657 Boulevard, in Westfield, New Jersey. Derek Broadduses was a 40 year old, Senior Vic-President of an insurance company. Maria Broaddus had been living in Westfield her entire life and grew up not far from their new home.
Before the couple and their children had officially moved in at 657 Boulevard, the first of the startling letters arrived. It was June 2014, and Derek had spent the day repainting various rooms inside the house. When he had finished, he decided to check the mailbox outside. Aside from the normal bills, there was a plain white envelope addressed to the New Owner.
Whoever wrote the note had apparently been watching the house for some time. The mysterious writer mentioned the Honda minivan parked in front of the house and the many contractors working on the property. Unimpressed by the ongoing renovations, The Watcher remarked, ‘Tsk, tsk, tsk … bad move. You don’t want to make 657 Boulevard unhappy.”
Who ever was writing and watching knew way too much about the family. Here is a weird story of unwanted attention.
Since I arrived in Laredo I’ve heard stories about people seeing a little girl at Mall del Norte late in the evening when everyone has gone home. The cleaning staff would see this spirit near the Sear’s Store. She was wearing a white dress that looked too fancy for a shopping trip. It was down to her knees.
If the cleaning staff tried to approach her she would vanish.
I heard this story so often when I was out for a late night run, I would swing by the mall and look through the doors as I passed the Sear’s.
Just about any time I asked people about ghost stories I would hear about the Mall Ghost, or the Little Girl. Some folks could describe her right down to the old fashioned boots she had on with buttons for closures. This same little girl has been seen all over town, from Laredo College to the Arena. Here are a few stories about Laredo's most prolific ghost.
I remember, quite clearly watching John Kennedy being shot in Dallas on live TV. My brother and I were sitting on the floor in our living room watching an old black and white TV. Our dad had told us we didn’t want a color TV because they were radioactive and would kill us. Never mind our grand-mother and all our cousins had color TVs. We knew better, or at least, that’s what the old man had said.
It was a Tuesday and for unknown reasons we were home from school. We watched as the motorcade turned onto Houston Street from Main. The cars all turned onto Elm Street and then things went crazy. Our mother came running into the room and began crying.
We figured we’d screwed up somehow and were about to face the wrath of mom.

The Tasmanian Tiger was originally called the Thylacine. Thylacinus cynocephalus which is Greek for dog-headed pouched mammal. Australia and its surrounding islands have some of the weirdest creatures on earth.
Tasmania used to be a connected to Australia back about 14,000 years ago. As sea levels rose the people living on the peninsula became isolated from the rest of the continent until Europeans arrived.
The first European to see Tasmania was Abel Tasman, a Dutch explorer, who arrived in 1642. In 1772 the first Europeans landed on the island, and things went downhill for the locals really fast from there. In 1830 the government decided to push all of the locals from one side of the island to the other by forming a line of people stretching across the island and walking, shoulder to shoulder, or as close as possible and pushing everyone along in front of them. Anyone whose parents didn’t come from Europe that is.
Here are some of the strange things that happened in 2019. It was a weird year and folks were happy to make it into 2020. If only we had known then, what we know now. A man, identified by police as 32-year-old Roberto Daniel Arroyo, could be seen lurking outside the home. He then walked up to the front door and began licking the doorbell. He stood there, by the front door, with his tongue out, licking away as if the doorbell tasted good, or something. Doctors, staff and patients at a hospital in Alaska’s largest city got the surprise of a lifetime when a large moose wandered inside for a quick snack. In other weird news from 2019 we go to ZURICH, Switzerland where it was announced they were planning to do away with their nation’s emergency stockpile of coffee, which had been in place for decades. Some geezer had decided coffee beans, which are not actually beans, were not vital for human survival.
Yep, 2019 was weird year. Not like 2020 but still memorable.

In Germany, a shower of blood was one of several portents for the arrival of the Black Death that ran from 1348–1349. The phenomenon gained exposure to a wide audience in the 16th century, during the Renaissance, when it was used as an example of the power of God.
The Kerala red rain phenomenon was a blood rain event that occurred from July 25 and ran until September 23, 2001. There were daily heavy downpours of red-colored rain falling from the sky. Kerala is one of the southern states in India.
Biologists were baffled to discover the body of a humpback whale lying in the jungle of Brazil. This happened in February and men working the area spotted vulture’s circling something so they went to investigate. Once they arrived they found a 38 foot whale. It had come down in the jungle but no one knew or was willing to guess how.

Here are a few stories of the crazy things that happened while I worked for the government. From day one, our class was different from all those who came before or after. We were trained at Fort McClellen, Alabama. We worn old army fatigues instead of BP uniforms.
Once we graduated we were sent back to our duty stations. Things happened that, had I not been there I would not have believed it.

At the end of the Second World War, the United States Government sent Charles Elliot Perkins, a research worker in chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and pathology, to take charge of the vast Farben chemical plants in Germany. The good folks at Farben had worked for Hitler manufacturing things like Zyclon B used to kill people in death camps all over Europe. While there, he was told by German chemists of a scheme which had been worked out by them during the war and adopted by the German General Staff.
The scientists at Farben told Perkins about another chemical they had been working with. "This scheme was to control the population in any given area through mass medication of drinking water. In this scheme, sodium fluoride occupied a prominent place. The water would be treated with Fluoride and then distributed amongst the people to keep them under control.
Repeated doses of infinitesimal amounts of fluoride will in time reduce an individual's power to resist domination by slowly poisoning and necrotizing a certain area of the brain, and will thus make him submissive to the will of those who wish to govern him.
Fluoride can be found in everything from drinking water to toothpaste. Why is our government so intent on dosing us with this toxic chemical?
Here are a few more people that stepped over the line between our world and some place else. Some place that many people never managed to return from.
A business man in Bahia Blanca found himself standing in a field miles from where he'd been just seconds ago. A doctor and his wife set out on a drive in the outskirts of Bahia Blanca. Soon they came to a town they didn’t recognize. Their first shock was to discover they were now in Mexico, thousands of miles from where they had started out from. The next shock was to discover two days had passed since they could remember getting into their car.
Some of these missing folks managed to get back home. Others are still missing.

The folks living in the Americas before Columbus ran into Hispaniola were called Mound Builders since they had a propensity to pile dirt up and create huge mounds. Some of these mounds were in the shapes of animals while others were just huge hills. This construction took about a 5,000-year period. Scientists today say these mounds were for religious ceremonies or to inter their dead. A very few mounds were put in place so the elites could live high above everyone else.
The best known mounds are the Cahokia Mounds near East St. Louis, Illinois. This is the largest set of mounds in North America. The mound thought to be a temple measures nearly 100 feet high and 975 feet long.
Here are a few stories about these mounds found all over the country and what some people believe they might be used for.
Lady Beltane is a legally ordained Pagan minister. She grew up Wiccan and became a High Priestess in that tradition. She derives her knowledge from both sides of her family and is a hereditary witch. Now she practices as an eclectic High Priestess. Her spirituality and magick have influences from different traditions of Wiccan, as well as Ancient Egyptian, Celtic (both German and Irish) and Native American traditions. She was the High Priestess for two covens which gave birth to hive-covens and then hive-covens from these. This gives her the honor of being addressed as Lady Beltane in the world wide pagan community.

Defining what a witch is, is not all that easy. Probably the closest I can get is someone who performs a kind of magic. Not magic like pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Magic like working with energy or power that we don’t understand.
Way back when the planet was inhabited by folks living in small tribes and scratching out an existence most people didn’t understand what was going on around them.
Why did lighting suddenly flash from the sky? How come it got cold part of the year and hot the other part? Why did that one kid die while all the others lived?
People are curious. We want to know why. We want to know what is on the other side of the horizon. We tend to do things we shouldn’t trying to figure this out.
It takes time to look into and hopefully understand things. That was why the elders where considered to be the wisest in the tribe. The people doing all the hunting and gathering usually didn’t have time to look into the unknown things. This tended to be the forte of the eccentric folks. The man or woman that lived out away from the others. The old lady with a dozen cats or that guy that ran around talking to himself all the time. These kinds of people found themselves driven to look into the questions other simply ignored.
According to ancient texts, the high Egyptian priest of Sais spoke to Solon about Atlantis, a continent that existed more than 10,000 years ago that was beyond the Pillars of Heracles, or as we know him Hercules, which is now considered to be Gibraltar. Was it Gibraltar? Not really sure. Scientists only guess at the actual location. The pillars might just have disappeared in some earth quake or global catastrophe.
The Timaeus dialogs, a speech or dialog by Plato, placed the island in the Atlantic Ocean. The initial idea was that Atlantis was somewhere between Europe and America, though many other suggestions have been proposed, some of which place Atlantis in Antarctica, Greece and Indonesia.
I can see Atlantis being out in the Atlantic Ocean. It was beyond the Pillars of Hercules. How some folks come to decide it was anywhere around Greece is beyond me since Greece is in the Mediterranean and not past Gibraltar. Of course if the pillars no longer exist they could have been anywhere.
A Cryptid is any creature not recognized or acknowledged by main stream science. Bigfoot, Giant birds, to the Ringdokus. Here are a few bizarre creatures seen by people yet denied by science.
What is magic anyway?
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines magic as the use of means (such as charms or spells) believed to have supernatural power over natural forces
or magic rites or incantations
It is also an extraordinary power or influence seemingly from a supernatural source
: something that seems to cast a spell : enchantment
: the art of producing illusions by sleight of hand.
Arthur C Clark said, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
When electricity was first being offered to the public back in the late 1800s most people were afraid of it likening it to magic. They could see a chunk of coal or a bottle of oil. Setting these a fire would produce heat and light, as well as smoke and toxic gasses. But people were comfortable with coal and oil thinking they knew what the light was being caused by.
Here is the history of what some call Magic.
Troupes from Camp Ringgold were sent to create a military site just west of Laredo, Texas. A Star Fort was built followed by wooden buildings. Soon there were thousands of men coming and going to Fort McIntosh.
At the end of World War II the fort was turned over to Laredo and became a Junior College. Today it is known as Laredo College.
Staff and students have seen men dressed in old style army uniforms all over the facility. A little girl has been seen wandering the college dressed from the 1917s.

Way back when I was growing up, our dad was a do it yourself kind. Save money mostly. He built a camper on the back of his pickup. It was something to see. He was not a carpenter. He didn’t work with wood. But that didn’t stop him.
The camper got the job done. It kept the rain out. Not the cold or heat, but at least we were dry. He drove that sucker all over the country and we did a lot of outdoors stuff.
From the camper my brother and I progressed, if you could call it that, to a tent. The tent had belonged to a Boy Scout troupe that raised enough money to buy a new one. One with fewer holes and all the parts. The tent flap didn’t reach all the way to the ground and the ground sheet flap had been torn so it no longer stood up. We were laying there reading comic books with a flashlight when something caught out attention.
Someone was standing right by the tent flap. We could see their feet below the flap. The person was wearing convers basketball shoes. The kind with the rubber toecap. We both froze and lay there waiting to either be killed or discover it was our neighbor, come to say hello.
We never found out who had been standing there as if about to attack.
Here are some misadventures in camping.
In September 1860 the crew of the whaler Hope spotted a battered ship emerging from a gap between two icebergs in the Drake Passage. The Drake Passage is the body of water between South America's Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica. As the Hope sailed closer to the unknown ship the crew saw what looked like seven men standing at attention on the main deck. As the hope closed, they realized the men appeared frozen solid, as if caught out in some storm and flash frozen. All the bodies appeared to be in good condition and recently frozen.
On September 21, 1928, the København departed from Nørresundby in Northern Jutland for Buenos Aires on its tenth voyage. There were 75 people onboard, which including 26 crew and 45 cadets. As months went by without any word, the folks back home became concerned. In April 1929 the Danish East Asiatic Company dispatched a motor vessel, the Mexico, to Tristan da Cunha to search for the Kobenhavn. Searchers were constantly hearing reports of the ship in various parts of the world. It has never been found.
Here are some ships that disappeared only to pop up from time to time.
Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell on February 21, 1997. Mel Waters was on talking about a weird opening on his land near Ellensburg, Washington. The land had been in the family for generations passed on from his dad to Mel. The locals had been using the hole as a convenient garbage dump for decades. One man had dropped his dead dog into the hole to dispose of the body. Later that week he saw his dog running around his property. People began to believe the hole had some kind of paranormal abilities.
Waters said he owned rural property nine miles west of Ellensburg in Kittitas County, Washington that contained a mysterious hole. According to Bell's interviews with Waters, the hole had infinite depth and the ability to restore dead animals to life. Waters claimed to have measured the hole's depth to be more than 80,000 feet by using fishing line and a weight. According to Waters, the hole's magical properties prompted US "federal agents" to seize the land and fund his relocation to Australia.
Here is what I could find about this hole and what has become of Mel Waters.
So many of our past presidents have side stepped the question when it was asked. Clinton made a huge show of saying some kid had sent him a letter asking about UFOs however, no one can find any record of this letter ever actually being written or mailed or received at the white house. President Donald Trump has said he met with officials about UFOs although he reiterated that he did not particularly believe in them.
Trump revealed that the military briefed him on UFO sightings.
He said that he had seen, read, and heard and did one very brief meeting on it. He pointed out that people were saying they saw UFOs, but he did not believe it particularly.
Despite Trump’s disinterest on UFOs, the military has been keeping an eye on the skies recently. After the increase in UFO reports, the Navy recently set new guidelines for reporting UFOs entering US aerospace, making sure all sightings get the proper investigations.
Last month, the Pentagon admitted that Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) was involved in research and investigation of UFOs. Defense Department spokesman Christopher Sherwood revealed that the AATIP’s main focus was investigating UFO event.

I first became an EMT back in 1983. In 36 years things have changed a lot. Mostly for the better but then things also got a bit complicated. I attended class at San Jacinto College in Pasadena Texas. We had to take so many class hours and then we had to do clinical hours at different hospitals and ambulances. If you’re going to become a medic, take my advice, do the hospital hours first. Then you can enjoy the ambulance runs. If you do the ambulance runs first, then go to the hospital, it’s like driving a tricycle after driving a car.
I was sent to observe a doctor who was going to perform a procedure I needed to see. I followed this guy in a white lab coat into an exam room and oh boy, he was a proctologist. I know what the inside of a colon looks like and I’ll never get that image out of my head.
I was working one scene late one night. A guy from somewhere way south had run across a road and got hit by a station wagon that immediately sped away. I was working with two EMTs from the community. They were doing all the bandaging and splinting while I worked the vitals. I couldn’t get a blood pressure on either arm. The guy was talking to me. I asked him where he was from and he lied saying he lived right there in that house. It was a barn. I asked him what happened and he said he didn’t know. I checked his pulse. 100 at the neck but absent in all extremities. But he could move his arms and legs.
To check for a spinal injury you tell the patient to move their feet. Whether they move them or not you tell them it looked good. If their feet moved or not you made a note of it on the chart. You never told the patient their feet didn’t move.
We loaded the guy in the ambulance and he went off to the hospital dying enroute. He had completely bleed out in his trunk.
here are a few stories you probably have never heard before.
What makes a place haunted? Why would the spirit of some dead person or on occasion animal, stay on long after the body has stopped working? I hear all the usual things like unfinished business or fearing the next life. This sounds like good reasons but they don’t explain all of the hauntings out there.
I have talked about ghost ships before but not ships with ghosts. So here are a few good hauntings I’ve found aboard ships.
Like many other countries, Germany sent expeditions to the Antarctic region in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, most of which were scientific. The late 19th century expeditions to the Southern Ocean, South Georgia. South Georgia is an island in the southern Atlantic Ocean that is part of the British Overseas territory of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.
Once the Schwabenland was back in Germany other ships were sent south with equipment to turn the geothermal lake into a small city. The construction was done using slave laborers and controlled by the SS. Once completed the construction was named Base 211 or by some New Berlin.
The Germans either found abandoned alien technology or they made contact with extraterrestrials living beneath the ice. These were described as being either Grays or Reptilians or maybe both. Working with these aliens, the Nazis were able to reconstruct some of the flying discs the aliens were using.
General Kammler was in charge of the most highly guarded and top priority development in all of Germany. At the end of the war General Kammler vanished without a trace. Possibly he flew to South America and from there to Antarctica.
Two months after the German surrender, a German U-boat, U-530, entered the Argentine naval base at Mar del Plata after escaping from Germany before the end of the war. Why sail all the way to Argentina, 7,600 miles, when they could simply surrender at any port?
Here are some compelling reasons to believe the Nazis moved their operations south, very far south.
Curses have been around for thousands of years. People get mad at each other for whatever reason and say bad things are going to happen. I was at work late one night and we had brought in a group of Gypsies who were all in the United States Illegally. One of our agents said something to one of the women who then pulled down on her eyelid while looking in his direction. She mumbled somethings under her breath. The next day someone stole his car, his girlfriend left him, and his hair began falling out. Was this a curse or just some really bad luck?
Can someone affect your life in a negative way simply by saying they are going to do it? Here are a few stories that might make you say yes.
I was at a party the other night and was talking to Luis. He mentioned a case where a man jumped in his car to drive into town and was killed when an airplane crashed right on top of his car. This got me thinking about all the really weird things that happen that some would call a coincidence but I think maybe there is something more going on that we just don’t see or understand.
Here are some really weird things that have happened. I usually tell my stories in chronological order but tonight I decided to just run them as I found them. It doesn’t really matter since none of these stories are related.
If you read just about any history book on the United States you’ll see that John Wilks Booth shot Abraham Lincoln in Ford’s Theater. Ask anyone living in the US who killed Lincoln and they’ll say it was Booth. A lot of people don’t even know there is a serious question as to who did the shooting and whether or not Booth died in that Tabaco barn in Virginia.
Booth was to be taken alive no matter what. As the fire raged Sergeant Boston Corbett looked through the gaps in the barn side and spotted Booth. He took aim and shot him in the back of the neck. The troupes out front managed to grab Booth and drag his body from the burning structure. The body was taken to Washington for an autopsy. Oddly enough, the body did have a broken leg only it was the left leg.
Many people who were familiar with Booth said the body didn’t really look like him. Once the fire was out the troupes found Booth’s book and papers in the ashes. The paper was not burned or even scorched.
In the years following those events, even some of the United States military have called into question the official events. Just after the turn of the century, John Schmuker was General Council to the Department of the Army and he went on record insisting that evidence supporting the conclusion that Booth was executed at Garrett Farm would not stand up to cross examination in a court of law.
On December 20, 1968, David Arthur Faraday, 17, and Betty Lou Jensen, 16 were out on a date. David was driving the family car and he’d picked up Betty saying they were heading to see a school Christmas Show. They didn’t go to the school but wound up at a friend’s house. After that the couple went to a restaurant for dinner. So far so good. They drove out to Lake Herman Road at around 10:00. This was the spot all the kids knew was for necking and messing around. It almost sounds like the lead in to a slasher film.
At approximately 11:00 someone walked up to the side of the car, aimed a 22 caliber pistol at the two teenagers and told them to get out of the car. David began to exit the vehicle when he was shot in the head. Betty jumped from her side of the car and tried to run for it. She was able to make 28 feet before being shot five times through the back.
The killer was never caught. He claimed to have killed 37 people. We don't even know who he was or how many people he might have killed.
John and Stacey Edwards started their journey into mystery way back in 1997 when they shared a paradigm shifting paranormal experience together. The "Event" sent them down a road together that not too many people traveled in 1997...investigating the paranormal.

A Japanese man was mystified when food kept disappearing from his kitchen. It was the kind of thing you’d ignore at first. He set a few cameras around his home to catch the culprit in the act. After returning from work, he played back the cameras and was amazed to discover a woman emerging from one of the back room closets. He wondered how did she get into the closet, without being seen entering the house by any of the other cameras.
In Laredo the police had a gym next door to their new building. It had been a barracks back when the Air Base was still here and the city had converted it to be used by the officers for physical fitness.
One morning, one of the officers saw a man slipping out the window of the gym. He lifted the window, stepped out, and then closed the window.
The officer approached the man and questioned him. It turned out to be a guy we all called the Ultimate Warrior. The name was coined from James Brian Hellwig; also known as Jim "Justice" Hellwig. Eventually Hellwig renamed himself as the Ultimate Warrior. Part of his trademark was having bands wrapped around each arm above the biceps. The homeless guy in Laredo had bits of rags wrapped around each arm just like the wrestler. So we began to call him the Ultimate Warrior. This Ultimate Warrior had been living in the gym at night when none of the officers wanted to work out. He’d been doing this for months.
Here are a few folks who chose to live under some strange conditions.
First legend on my list is the slender man. A lot of nay sayers tell us the slender man came into existence was on June 10, 2009, on a thread in the Something Awful Internet forum. It was a Photoshop contest to come up with something creepy.
The Grossmann from Germany. He is also called The Tall Man. The first stories of this creature came out around the 16th century. What was going on in Europe in the 16th century? The inquisition was still raging across the continent and people were being burned at the stake for saying the wrong things. There may have been more sighting reaching back centuries but folks didn’t talk about them not wanting to be suspected of having visions of the devil which could win you a one way trip to the local dungeon.
Sterling City in Butte County, CA has had several Slender Man sightings and some activity folks say is being caused by him. In 1986 the Sterling City Library caught fire. During the clean up a number of photographs were recovered, including one that had been taken only a week earlier on June 1st, 1986. This was the date 14 children disappeared, which was odd but then the photographer vanished as well.
Just because the name was invented in 2009 doesn't mean the creature was invented at the same time.
The open mic, festival, and conference in Edinburg don't just happen. It takes a lot of planning. Noe Torres told me they start planning for the next conference as soon as the current conference finishes. They work on it all year long coming up with ideas on how to make it better each year. I’d say they’re getting better each year from what I’ve seen. The entire library staff takes part in the planning. They also get a lot of support from other city staff. The conference speakers are scheduled and on the books by February so there’s none of that last minute confusion. It takes around 30 people, working year round, using any spar time they have to make the Edinburg UFO conference a success.

Here is a bit of UFO history. Folks keep changing the way we refer to Unknown Flying Objects. They use initials like UAP, AFO, EFO, or even just Visitors. I say we stick with UFOs since just about everyone knows what you're talking about.
During World War II air crews saw lights in the sky they called Foo Fighters.
On the night of August 13-14, 1956, radar operators at two military bases in the east of England reported tracking a single radar blip and then multiple objects which displayed high speed, as well as rapid changes of speed and direction. Two jet interceptors were sent up, and were able to see and track them in a brief series of maneuvers. According to official U.S. Air Force reports, the sightings could not be explained by radar malfunction or by unusual weather.
On November 14, 2004, the aircraft carrier USS Princeton noted an unknown craft on radar 100 miles off the coast of San Diego. For the next two weeks, the crew began tracking objects flying around the skies over head. Some of these objects would appeared at 80,000 feet and then plummet to a few feet above the Pacific Ocean.
Here are a few UFO stories.
There were five men all lived in either Yuba City or nearby Marysville. They all lived with their parents, and their parents knew all of the others in the group because they wanted to know who their kids were hanging out with. The parents referred to the five collectively as the boys.
The five men's favorite leisure activity was sports. Their families said that when they got together, it was usually to play a game or to watch one. They played basketball together in a team they had named the Gateway Gators. The team was sponsored by a local program for the mentally handicapped. When the boys didn't return home by morning the parents called the authorities.
The bodies were eventually found but no one could explain why they had left the highway to drive into the mountains to die.

Here are a few times people did things that no one can understand that led to their deaths.
A werewolf is a person who can take on the form of a wolf. Usually they run on all fours just like the animal they’re mimicking. Then there are the Wolfmen who have the attributes of wolves but walk on two legs like a human.
The name werewolf come from Old English werwulf, or man-wolf. The word lycanthrope means wolf-person. We get it from ancient Greece. King Lycaon was the ruler of a Greek City State way back when the gods were less well behaved. Lycaon invited Zeus to dinner one day with the intentions of testing him to see if he was really all knowing.
Lycaon killed his son Nyctimus, and then had him cooked and served for dinner. Those old Greeks had some issues.
Just a few werewolf stories that might make you believe these things are real.
To begin with I am not a Luddite. A Luddite is a person who is opposed to new technology or ways of working. The name is derived from Ned Ludd who worked in a factory as a stocker in 1800.
The Luddites were 19th-century English textile workers who protested against newly developed labor-saving technologies, primarily between 1811 and 1816. The stocking frames, spinning frames and power looms introduced during the Industrial Revolution replaced them with less-skilled, low-wage laborers, leaving the Luddites without work.
I am opposed to computers and robots that are fast becoming more inelegant than us. Just watch the movie, "Terminator" and see what might happen. Those inventing things never stop to wonder what if my invention becomes too powerful?
Here are a few reasons to watch out for the coming A. I. takeover.
Hollywood is a strange place and a lot of the folks who work there have some weird ideas. When Horace and Daeida Wilcox founded Hollywood in 1887, they hoped it would become a religious community. Prohibitionists, they banned liquor from the town and offered free land to anyone willing to build a church.
When I was telling about Telly Savalas, ghost encounter, for unknown reasons I began calling him Tony. I received a nasty gram from one of his fans. My notes all say Telly but my mouth said Tony.

If you like to find out about some oddities from Tinseltown here it is.
A huge fort was built at the entrance to Subic Bay. The fort was 350 feet long and 144 feet wide. About the area of a football field. It stood 40 feet out of the water.
To keep ships from trying to enter the bay the fort sported 4 14” guns mounted inside two turrets that could rotate 360 degrees. One turret set higher than the other so it could fire over the top of the second turret. Each gun could launch a projectile 11 miles away. As backup the fort also had 4, 6” guns mounted on each side. These could take out anything trying to come in close under the main guns.
The first week of February 1942 saw the fort come under sustained fire from Japanese 150mm howitzer batteries positioned on the mainland near Ternate. By the middle of March, the Japanese had brought even heavier artillery into range, opening fire with 240mm siege howitzers. They managed to destroy Fort Drum's 3-inch antiaircraft battery, and disabled one of the 6-inch guns. There was some minor damage too one of the armored casemates. Big chunks of the Fort's concrete structure were chipped away by the shelling but the fort was still fully functional and the men inside safe.
The fort finally surrendered and the Japanese used it as their defenses.
Today Fort Drum is a burned out shell. The structure is still in tact since it was built to last.
Back when I was young the ground under Galveston Island had tunnels running from the middle of the island all the way to the north end. These tunnels were built during World War II. No one bothered to close off the entrances so we would go exploring. The tunnels have collapse today. Germany had invaded Guernsey island and turned it into one massive fortress. Tunnels ran in every direction. Huge gun emplacements lined the shore. To avoid too many casualties the Allies simply went around the island. Today you can tour these underground complexes. When the world's tallest hotel, the Westin Stamford Hotel in Singapore, was completed in 1986 by the South Korean company Ssang Yong Group which means Double Dragon, North Korea got their shorts in a bind. They wanted to be able to thump their chest and say they could build better taller and more wow that their neighbors to the south. The building was never finished and none of the offices ever occupied.
Here are a few sites built for various purposes and left empty today.
People vanish all the time. They disappear while on their own or sometime within sight of their friends. You’d think the best way to not vanish would be to stay in a group. Safety in numbers. Or maybe not. In 110 AD something like 6,000 men, all their equipment and the camp followers all marched north into Scotland. There is no record of what happened to them after that. 6,000 men is a lot of bodies to just make vanish. And all the equipment. There should be some record somewhere saying what became of the ninth but there is nothing. Shortly after the ninth disappeared into what is now known as Scotland, Emperor Hadrian had the Roman Army build a wall across the island to keep those crazy people away from the folks living in the south.
The Norfolks were a military unit from England. They were shipped to the Mediterranean to fight the Turks during World War I. The Norfolk Regiment was made up of 16 officers and 250 men led by Sir Horace Proctor-Beauchamp. The entire unit vanished. No one knows where they are even today.
In 1922 the folks living in Hoer Verde where living their lives like anyone living in Brazil. They had a town of 600 people, along with a church, school and market place. In 1823 everything changed. A visitor to the village discovered the people were all gone. It looked as if everyone had just walked out of town without bothering to take personal possessions or leave behind any clue as to why they left or where they were going.

There are things living in the swamps that some folks wish they'd never seen. Here are a few stories about what is living in these isolated places.
What is in the food some people are eating? Food manufactures aren’t concerned with your health, their job is to sell food products. If you have a health problem as a result, that's your problem, you probably grew up down wind of a nuclear plant. You won't find food companies offering to pay for your medical bills if you have a heart attack from eating hydrogenated oils. They are basically passing the buck and demanding that you pay for the health consequences caused by their foods. In fact, they're working hard to pass legislation that would outlaw lawsuits against food companies!
Paracelsus was born in 1493 in Egg, a village close to the Etzel Pass in Switzerland. Once Paracelsus was a physician he worked for the Venetian military from 1517 until 1524. Alchemy was an ancient branch of natural philosophy, a philosophical and protoscientific tradition practiced throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia, originating in Hellenistic Egypt, primarily Alexandria between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. It aims were to purify, mature, and perfect certain objects. Common aims were chrysopoeia, the transmutation of base metals such as lead into what are known as noble metals in particular gold. Alchemists were also trying to create an elixir of immortality, or the elixir of life, the creation of panaceas able to cure any disease; and the development of an alkahest, a universal solvent. The first known account of the production of the homunculus is said to be found in an undated Arabic work called the Book of the Cow, which was originally written by the Greek philosopher Plato. Rather than using the homunculus to perform magical feats, Paracelsus thought the homunculus should be educated with the greatest care and zeal, until it grows up and begins to display intelligence. In his writings Paracelsus claimed to have created a homunculus. Here is what I could find.
Back in the 40s, people living in San Ygnacio didn’t have plumbing. If you needed the facilities you had to walk out the back door and use the little building in the far corner of the yard. You put the outhouse as far away from the main house as you could because in the summer time, you didn’t want that smell invading your living space. At night it was necessary to use a kerosene lantern to light the way. The outhouse was out by the back of the yard past the corrals and pigeon coup. He would tell the family there was a headless ghost that would follow him as he went to the outhouse or returned. The ghost would come from the corrals. He was not so much scared as tired of seeing this specter.
The family figured the old guy was just imagining things. It was dark and using a lantern outside could create some scary shadows. Maybe he was just imagining things.
After years of hearing about the headless ghost the family mostly ignored it. The grand-father died in 1959.
In 1997 or 99 a fence was being built along the area where the corrals and pigeon coup used to sit. The workers were digging fence posts when they found bones buried in the yard, human bones. The crew unearthed an old yellowed skeleton. It was missing the head.

John Hutchison was born on October 19, 1945 in Canada. He attended North Shore High School up until the eighth grade, then he received some private tottering for the next three years. You can find a lot of information on just about everything by searching the internet. I tried but could find very little on John’s early life. Maybe there is just nothing worth reading.
In 1955 John showed an early interest in electronics, chemistry, radio transmission and astronomy.
John first experimented in chemistry 1959 when he tried fabrication of his own canons and guns. My kind of kid. He was fourteen.
In 1968 he produced three small free energy units with no input with an output of 10 volts at 500 milliamps. Not a lot of energy but considering there was nothing going it was a plus.
John has a sense of humor that some might find hard to follow. One day he put together a bunch of hydrogen balloons and released them over the city. People seeing them thought it was some kind of alien invasion. It was covered on the local news and caused a stir throughout the city.
Who was martin Luthor King Jr. and why was he killed? Who really did the shooting? Why did the authorities make such a mess of the investigation? Here you will find more questions than answers.
To start right off I don’t want anyone to get the idea I’m idolizing Hitler. He was an evil person who did a lot of nasty things. He was also the product of his environment not that he was a victim. Adolf was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, a town in Austria-Hungary, close to the border with the German Empire. He was christened as Adolphus Hitler. His dad was a nasty person who drank and beat everyone around him. His mother was overly protective which led to a weird environment for anyone to grow up in. In August 1914, at the outbreak of World War I, Hitler was living in Munich and voluntarily enlisted in the Bavarian Army. Now he was a citizen of Austria, not Bavaria. Adolf should have been told to go back to his home country and enlist there but for unknown reasons he was allowed to join the Bavarian army. Hitler managed to go from a corporal to the head of all of Germany. Here is his story.
If you're looking for number 3 don't bother, I missed it. November 12, 1945 when 74-year-old Middie Rivers disappeared while out hunting. Rivers was guiding a group of four hunters up the mountains. After getting to the hunt site and spending the day it was time to get back to camp. Rivers got ahead of the group as they were coming down the trail on Long Trail Road near Vermont Route 9. He was still in sight when he followed the trail around a slight bend. As the others got to that point he was no longer anywhere to be seen. Paula Jean Welden, 18, disappeared about a year later on December 1, 1946. Welden was a sophomore at Bennington College. She had set out for a hike on the Long Trail. A lot of folks on the trail saw her, including Ernest Whitman, a Bennington Banner employee who gave her directions.

The Air Force started out looking into flying disc sightings with Project Sign. In 1948 this was just about all the government was willing to do if you saw something that looked odd. In 1949 Project Sign was done away with and Project Grudge came into being. The standard operating thought was Flying Discs didn’t exists and any reports were by uneducated or delusional people.
A bunch of Colonels and Generals in the Air Force began to wonder why the people running Project Grudge weren’t actually doing anything. The Colonels and Generals were concerned the flying discs might pose a threat to the United States. They began to put pressure on Washington saying it was time to look into these sightings and find out who or what they were.
Project Blue Book was not interested in investigating UFO reports. They were there to explain away everything. Here is their story.
There are strange things going on under our feet, deep under our feet, that are unexplained. Miners hear sounds coming from the rock walls around them. Tapping sounds. These are referred to as being the Tommyknockers. Here are a few stories about the things going on under the ground.
Cliff Barackman was born and raised in Long Beach California. Cliff became an elementary teacher and he is a jazz guitarist. He appeared in “Monsterquest” Legend of the Hairy Beast in 2007. In 2010 he accompanied Bob Saget on a trip to Washington where they were filming “Strange Days.” Cliff can be seen on T.V. each week on the show “Finding Bigfoot.”
I’ve heard about time slips on many occasions. This isn’t time travel where you plan to visit another time but an accidental slip to another time period. I have often wondered what and how this happened and how would I handle something like it. Folks tell me all the time they would be prepared to handle just about anything. Until you find yourself in some unknown situation you don’t know what you might do or how you might react. That’s why training is so important but how do you train for something like time slips?
Lionel Fanthorp had a theory on how the time line might actually look. Instead of one continues string running in a straight line he said maybe it was more like a ball of string. As two parts of the time line crossed each other the timelines merged, allowing the people on both sides to see each other. In some instances they even interacted.
The term "witchcraft" in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) mostly refers to women who used spoken curses to injure other people or destroy their property.
The term, "witchcraft" in the Christian Scriptures (New Testament) refers to murderers who use poisons to kill people.
In North America, "Witch" and "Witchcraft" most often refer to Wiccans and Wicca.
Wiccans are modern-day Neopagans. They follow Wicca, a new religion that has been created, using parts, from ancient Celtic beliefs, practices, Gods, Goddesses, holy days and symbols. They follow the Wiccan Rede, a rule of behavior which prohibits Wiccans from performing any activity that dominates, manipulates, controls, or injures others. This is a modern day version of a very old religion.

In 1890 Abraham Stoker decided he wanted to become a writer. His first book was the Snake's Pass. Then in 1897 Abraham began to research Eastern Europe looking for a suitable location to set his next story. He became interested in the Carpathian Mountains and began his story there. The main character, Jonathan Harker, is visiting a castle in the Transylvanian Mountains which are a part of the Carpathian Mountain Range. Transylvania is Latin for the land beyond the forest.

Here are a few scary stories to go along with the Halloween season. A Police Officer received a creepy call from his own home phone. A student ran into a ghost at the Laredo Junior College. The ghost of a little girl is seen hanging out at the local shopping mall.
I'll talk about my book, "The Laredo Paranormal Research Society." Things like the things that took place that got me to write a book. The history of the LPRS. They started out looking into ghosts. From there they began looking into UFO sightings. There are quite a few haunted locations in Laredo and the LPRS has looked into many of them.
We’ve all heard of haunted houses, haunted places even, but how about things that seem to be haunted that don’t make any sense. Things like furniture or toys. How about haunted vehicles? Let’s take a look at just a few of these.
Way back when I was in grade school, I remember being told the Earth had two moons. There was the one we could see at night and then there was a second moon that circled the earth but was too small to see with the naked eye. This came up on many occasions as we moved from year to year. Then it just kind of faded away. No one mentioned it after that. I used to wonder what happened to our other moon. Then I found out, it wasn’t a moon but a satellite. A dark satellite. The Black Knight is an artificial satellite of extraterrestrial origin which has orbited Earth for a long time. Some say it’s only been here for a few hundred years and other say it more like around 13,000 years.
The Voynich manuscript is an illustrated codex, or book, hand-written in an unknown writing system. Vellum is prepared animal skin or "membrane" used as a material for writing on. The vellum on which the Voynich manuscript is written has been carbon-dated to the early 15th century or about 1404 to 1438. It may have been composed in Northern Italy during the Italian Renaissance. The manuscript is named after Wilfrid Voynich, a Polish book dealer who purchased it in 1912.
Late one evening on December 9, 1965. It was cold and clear. At about 6:00 PM a fire ball was spotted coming from the North West heading South East at an incredible rate. The fire ball was seen as it passed over Canada. Then it entered the United States air space. It flew over Detroit Michigan and Windsor Ontario. As it passed overhead the fire ball was dropping small burning debris that started a fire in a field in Ohio. People hear a sonic boom as the object passed by them.
Had the fire ball continued on its course it would have passed near Pittsburg Pennsylvania. A lot of people had heard about the display and went out to see if they could watch the flaming object. As it was nearing the ground, folks were amazed to see it change direction. The flaming object turned. It looked to be slowing down as well.
At around 6:15 as the unknown object was coming close to Kecksburg it vanished into a wooded area. One boy said he saw the flaming object as it came to a halt in the woods. Other’s heard a crash as the thing hit trees on its way to the ground. The ground shook as the object struck.
Speculation as to what the flaming object might have been began before the object had stopped flying. Some thought it was an airplane and rushed to the crash site. Others thought it might have been a missile that had gone astray. If it was a missile they didn’t want to get too close in case it blew up.
Hans Kammler was born on August 26, 1901. He died on…well, we don’t really know when he died or if he died at all. Kammler was a German civil engineer and SS commander during the Nazi era. He oversaw SS construction projects such as just about every death camp the Nazis built. Sometime around 1945, Kammler was put in charge of a research and development complex hidden away near the Check Republic. The complex was named the Riese, German for giant. It was the code name for a construction project started by the Nazis in 1943. What was being built in the mountains? Why was the security there at a level higher than around Berlin? Here is what I could find about this top secret German project.
In 1917, at Fort Riley Kansas, a bunch of soldiers came down with some strange sickness. They lined up at the sick call and were seen by the Army Doctors. Headaches, nausea, muscle aches, tired feeling. Aspirin was handed out by the hands full and the men sent back to their barracks. It was believed they had either war jitters or maybe a slight case of a cold or the flu.
Soon the men became much sicker. High fevers followed by listlessness and coma. Some of those stricken died.
The army didn’t think anything was really wrong. People get sick and die, especially in times of war. Maybe this was some kind of food borne illness or perhaps a case of pneumonia. Some said it was Aspirin poisoning. The soldiers that were in close quarters with the men who died were told to not say anything about what was happening. The war was still on and this was considered national security.
Since Spain was the only country talking about this pandemic the disease became known as the Spanish Flu.
The first part of the show I talk about William Cooper. Milton William "Bill" Cooper was born on May 6, 1943 and he died on November 5, 2001. William was an American conspiracy theorist, radio broadcaster, and author best known for his 1991 book Behold a Pale Horse. He warned us about multiple global conspiracies, some involving extraterrestrials.
Following Cooper I go into the idea that Fort Knox Gold Depository holds very little gold. There is a lot of evidence to support this theory and very little to negate it.

What is it about some places that make us feel uneasy or downright terrified? Places that have a history of bad vibes from hundreds of years past but with no explanation as to why people think there is something wrong?
Here is a brief history of Bigfoot. Long before Bigfoot was the name we used for a large hair covered creature seen in the woods we had other names. Names like Hairy Man or Wildman. Some tribes called them Sasquatch or Big brother. Tribes all across the Americas told about creatures or being that lived in the woods around them that mostly left folks alone as long as the tribe didn’t go messing with them.
In Jewish folklore, a golem is an animated anthropomorphic being, magically created entirely from inanimate matter. The word was used to mean an amorphous, unformed material, usually out of stone or clay. This was a lot like what God did making Adam from clay only man was now meddling in God stuff.
Another definition is a Golem is a giant, handmade monster, usually enslaved to a Jewish Rabbi or a magician. Although Golem are born to serve, a few of them have outgrown their masters and unleashed disasters in their native homes.
The Bermuda Triangle is an area of water that runs from Homestead Florida to the Bermuda Island over to Puerto Rico and then back to Homestead. Although it looks like a three sided area, the boundaries are not all that straight. It contains about 1,510,000 square miles of the Atlantic Ocean. Ships and planes have vanished while in this one part of the Atlantic Ocean. Here are just a few of the stories.

Reincarnation has been around for thousands of years. There are a lot of religions that teach it as being the norm. For some unknown reason it fell out of popularity sometime in the past. Let’s take a look at reincarnation and why it just might be a fact and not fiction.
Reincarnation is the philosophical or religious concept that the soul or spirit, after biological death, can begin a new life in a new body. This doctrine is a central tenet of the Hindu religion. The Buddhist concept of rebirth is also often referred to as reincarnation and is a belief that was held by such historic figures as Pythagoras, Plato, and Socrates.
There are stories from all over the world about people who knew things about past events that made no sense if looked at from a modern scientific manner. These people knew things that can only be explained by having gone through life in a different body during a different time.
Lyle Blackburn is a native Texan known for his work in writing, music, film, and cryptid research. He is the author of several acclaimed books, including “The Beast of Boggy Creek” and “Lizard Man,” whose subject matter reflects his life-long fascination with legends and sighting reports of unknown creatures. Lyle is also the founder of the rock band, Ghoultown, columnist for the horror magazine, Rue Morgue, and narrator/producer of documentary films such as “The Mothman of Point Pleasant” and “Boggy Creek Monster,” in which he also appears on screen.

The song’s music video - featuring Elvira herself - was aired on her nationally syndicated show, Movie Macabre.
When Lyle isn’t writing books, hunting monsters, or performing with his band, he can be found speaking at various cryptozoology conferences and horror conventions around the United States. Just look for the trademark black cowboy hat.

M. K. Davis has been researching the Patterson Sasquatch film, or the P & G as we call it, for the last 20 years. He has traveled extensively and has amassed one of the largest collection of images from the film. M.K. has trekked the Bluff Creek drainage of Northern California on many occasions and his observations have led to several important discoveries on the film itself. While the Patterson film is only a very short piece, it continues to yield vital data that may one day lead to a more complete understanding what it is that is on the film and what it means to all of us.
November 5, 1975 Travis Walton was abducted by a flying saucer. Five days later he was returned to the Earth with one heck of a weird story to tell. Travis joins me to talk about what happened that day in 1975.
The Mandan Indians tell about King Mordok who came from across the great water sailing on the back of a whale. He me the Mandan Indians and lived in piece with them. In the 1900s a man named Kincaid discovered a cave filled with Egyptian artifacts. Everything was hidden away in the Smithsonian somewhere. In Mississippi there are thirteen mound locations. Some are only a single mound by itself where as others are a cluster of mounds, over twenty in one place. Some are just hills built up to a peak or flat on top. Some look like pyramids and other just a mound of dirt. No two are alike. In side these mounds were found giant skeletons. These also have vanished into some vault. He has also spoken five times at the annual Roswell UFO Conference and at many other UFO conferences throughout the United States and Mexico.
Gunnar Monson was born the day after John Kennedy was shot, on November 23, 1963. He became interested in Bigfoot after seeing the Paterson Gimlin Film. Gunner read everything he could find about Bigfoot. Once the internet came out searching for information became easier. This also allowed researchers to make contact and compare notes.
After not finding a good cup of coffee he started the Sasquatch Coffee company.

She appeared in, co-wrote and co-produced the History Channel's Monsterquest episode, "American Werewolf," based on her book "Hunting the American Werewolf" and also appeared in the show's season 4 finale.
She has travelled about Wisconsin and Michigan looking for the strange and offbeat. Everything from outside artists and giant roadside statues to local cemetery lore, eccentric people and history. Ghost stories and unidentified creatures as well as UFO's. I keep hearing about things that lurk underneath bridges. Things that are sometimes scary and other times just plane deadly. There have been a lot of folks that unintentionally stumbled on something they wish they had never seen. Then there are those that go looking for these creatures hoping to see them, maybe understand them, and just hopefully survive the experience.
What is it about bridges that either attract strange beasts or place the possibility of something being down there into our minds?
A bridge is something that connects one place to another. It is usually crossing over water or a gorge. Sometimes a bridge might span the gap between one world and another. We’re not going to talk about the bridges themselves but the mysterious things you might see underneath them.

People have reported seeing Bigfoot all over the world. Other folks say what they saw looked a lot like Bigfoot only it was more like a dogman. The body was large and covered in hair. UFOs have been seen in the skies for as far back as recorded time. Back in ancient times people who saw something up in the sky would describe it using whatever terminology they had. A flying saucer might have been described as being a flying shield. Back in the 300s BC Alexander the Great saw several flying shields that dove on his troupes. The UFOs caused a lot of difficulty with his men when the elephants they were riding became terrified and began to run around, stepping on anyone in their path. The word disc was in use back then but being a soldier, he was more inclined to use words associated with war than eating. The Hopi Indians have legends of flying shields that came from cities at the bottom of the seas. This brings to mind the concept that if aliens wanted to live here on our planet undisturbed by us the bottom of the oceans is about the most remote place they could find. Twelve men have walked on the surface of the moon but only three have ever visited the deepest part of the ocean.
Teddy Roosevelt was more than just the President of the United States. In his early day he had gone looking for Bigfoot. As the Police Commissioner of New York he would go out patrolling the streets at night. As war between Spain and the United States was getting cranked up Teddy began recruiting cowboys, gold miners and prospectors, hunters, gamblers, and Native Americans. Most of the volunteers came from the south or west. The climate in Cuba was hot and humid so Roosevelt wanted men who were able to function in such conditions. Teddy Roosevelt was one of the most interesting men to ever lead our country.

On the evening before Thanksgiving, November 24, 1971, a man identified himself as "Dan Cooper" purchased a one-way ticket on Flight 305, a 30-minute trip to Seattle. The plane was a Boing 727-100. This particular aircraft had stairs that opened from the rear of the fuselage. The FBI has stopped looking since they still have no idea who DB Cooper was. Here is what we do know.
Lee County, South Carolina, June 29. 1988, Chris Davis was just getting off work. He’d been on the evening shift and now had to drive home in the dark. His route took him through the Scape Ore Swamp. The first thing he noticed were the bright red eyes that seemed to glow on their own. The creature looked to be about seven feet tall and covered with green scales, and it was just behind his car. Chris hit the gas to get as far away from this weird thing as he could. As his tires spun in the loose gravel, the creature jumped up onto the trunk and then pulled itself onto the roof.

Here are some more places to visit while driving about the country. The Heidelberg Project is an outdoor art project in Detroit, Michigan. Specifically, it is in the McDougall-Hunt neighborhood on the city's east side, just north of the city's historically African-American Black Bottom area. The Villa Maria, as it was originally known, was built in 1923 and designed by well-known architect Frank Riley. As the house grew, people, driving by would stop and ask if they could look around. The owner, Alex Jorden thought if people wanted to wander about and look, maybe they be willing to pay for the privilege. He charged a nominal fee but the place wasn’t actually open to the public until the 60s. When it did finally open as a tourist attraction, the name was changed to the House On The Rock, and the name has stuck until today.

Canned goods were invented to feed Napoleon's army. A man named Charles Barbier came up with a system of communication using holes punched into a piece of paper. This was called Night Writing. The military wasn't interested so blind people began using it. In 1391, the first toilet paper was invented to be used by the Chinese emperor. There are a lot of things you should know so here they are.
If you think you have a bad job look at what some folks do for a living. Professional ear cleaners in India. Professional mourners in Taiwan. Amsterdam is known as one of the most bike friendly places in the world. They even claimed there are more bikes in Amsterdam than people. To add to the mix the place is a maze of canals. All those bikes around all that water and someone is going for a swim. If you ride your bike off into a canal, you can just swim back to the street but your bike is going to the bottom. This has led to a business opportunity for someone. Some folks are willing to make a living under the weirdest conditions.

There are some forests that you want to stay in for days and a few that just scream, “stay away if you value your life.” In Japan, to the west of Tokyo, at the southern end of Mount Fuji, is the Aokigahara forest. Not a good place to take a walk. Aokigahara Forest is sometimes referred to as the most popular site for suicide in Japan. The cliffs of Tojimbo, with their uninterrupted view of the Sea of Japan and their sheer drop into the raging sea below are a common tourist attraction. This is also a popular suicide spot. Here are a few trips that are memorable to say the least. My drive to El Paso and back were I had a weird run in with an ancient gas station. In 1948 Frederick Benjamin Carlin set out to drive, sail, around the world. He had an old military vehicle called a "Seep" designed to cross rivers. He was going to cross oceans with it. Carlin and his trusty Seep, the Half-Safe, arrived in Montreal, Canada on May 13, 1958. His ten year drive was finally at its end. Driving and sailing around the world.
All over the world, people get together on a regular bases and perform some really weird actions. Some might be considered illegal depending on which country you’re in. Some will sound absolutely insane. I’m glad to see there are some folks out there willing to go beyond the norm in a pursuit of tradition.

From 375–400, Martin of Tours, the French bishop, stated that the world would end before 400 AD. He wrote, "There is no doubt that the Antichrist has already been born. In 990 church leaders discovered the dates of significant holydays would happen on the same day in 992, this led church leaders to announce the end of the world was here. The end has been coming for so long, some of us no longer pay any attention. Here are some of the world ending times from the past.
In the Atlantic Ocean is a section of water that spins around causing it to hold onto things that drift into it. This is known as a Gyre. The Sargasso Sea is a thousand miles wide and three thousand miles long. In the days of sailing ships, if you entered the Sargasso Sea you were trapped there. Thousands of ships entered this sea, never to escape. To add to the mystery, the Bermuda Triangle is right next door.
A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes in front of the Sun and casts a shadow across Earth. It's also known as an occultation. The reason solar eclipses happen is that the distance between the Sun and the Earth is about 400 times the Moon's distance from the Sun and the Sun's diameter is approximately 400 times larger than the Moon's.
What this means is that the Sun and the Moon both have a very similar size when viewed from Earth, so when the Moon passes in front of the Sun, it blocks the light from reaching Earth.

The American Indians have hundreds of stories about giants living all over the Americas back in the old days. Choctaw legends tells of how the tribe ran into giants after crossing the Mississippi river and migrating into the Tennessee area. The Indians said they had white skin and ate people for dinner. Here are a few creatures that shouldn't exist, but they do.
People have had run-ins with giant dogs with glowing red eyes. These dogs appear out of nowhere and seem to be guarding something. On occasion these dogs are seen in places as if looking for something. They all have very bad attitudes. Here are a few odd stories about these beasts from below.
What are zombies? Can they be real or just something made up to scare people? Here are a few stories of folks who have run ins with zombies and how these creatures have come to be. Clairvius Narcisse was supposed to have died on May 2, 1962. He was buried and then dug up by the priest that had doused him with the powder. The priest gave Clairvius a paste made from Datura, also known as the Devils Trumpet, a hallucinogenic plant. Clairvius was then forced to work as a slave for the next eighteen years.
People have lived in the swamp who were there to fish. Others lived there to hide away from others so they could do their dirty deeds. Many men vanished into the Everglades to never be seen again. Those with dead bodies to dispose of sometime dump them on the side of one of the many roads running through the area. Here are a few stories of bizarre behavior in the south part of Florida.
The Grand Canyon is more than just a spectacular place to visit. There are some mysteries hidden away in parts that are off limits to everyone. In 1909 The Smithsonian sent in a team to remove thousands of artifacts found in a cave. Once everything was gone the museum said there was never any expedition to remove anything. The Hopi Indians have a legend that says, way back when, a young member of the tribe wandered down an unused trail inside the canyon. At some point along the trail he found a cave. Inside were hundreds of coper and gold containers. There were statues and carvings showing men dressed in clothing unlike anything found in the area.
What does NASA really do? Why are so many of their records locked away were us tax payers can't see them? There are things going on at this space agency we are not allowed to ever see or know about. The JPL is surrounded with bizarre stories as well. Jack Parsons, the founder of JPL, was a Cultist. He was a member of the Ordo Templi Orientis, run by Aleister Crowley, the self proclaimed "Wickedest Man On Earth."
People disappear all the time. Thousands go missing. Many chose to simply walk away from their lives. Others vanish without a trace under very mysterious circumstances. Korrina Malinoski failed to show up for work the morning of November 20, 1987. Her vehicle was found parked in front of the gate to the property where they lived. Early morning, February 14, 2000, Asha Degree quietly grabbed her book bag full of cloths and personal things and slipped out the door of her family home. Authorities believe she walked along Highway 18 in Shelby, North Carolina, even though it was pouring down rain. She was just nine years old when she vanished. She is still missing today.

People were being sent to places that were supposed to help them. Hospitals better known as asylums. Once they were inside it was near impossible to get back out. Built by the famous beer tycoon Adolphus Busch, the historic Adolphus has been providing guests with luxury and comfort since 1912. The room next to mine was very noisy al night. There was no one in it. The Hotel Lawrence is another Dallas hotel with issues. The Hotel Lawrence was built in 1925, and was then known as the Scott Hotel, after the owner George C. Scott. I'll tell about several hotels with spirits.
The World's Largest Ball of Twine, and it’s still growing. In Cawker City, Kansas is the over 19,000 pounds and somewhere over 7 million feet of sisal twine. Frank Stoeber started this ball by winding 1.6 million feet of twine into an 11-foot-diameter sphere. Why did he do it? Who knows?Carhenge was conceived in 1987 by Jim Reinders as a memorial to his father. The full-scale replica of England’s famous Stonehenge is built entirely from old cars. There are 38 cars, painted gray. Some of the vehicles are half-buried, others are welded together, and some jut from the ground at odd angles, mimicking the present configuration of Stonehenge. In January 1959, ten students and staff from the Ural Polytechnical Institute, in Russia set out on a cross country hike. Before leaving they had told their friends they would send word by telegraph, there were few phone lines in the area they were heading, just as soon as they reached Otorten, a mountain well known as a hiking and skiing destination. They figured this would happen no later than February 12. One of their team got sick and had to return home. The other nine kept going only to vanish. The Laredo Paranormal Research Society was formed when police officers, training in an old abandoned building, began seeing and hearing things they couldn't explain. In a bid to find out if ghosts actually exist, a group of investigators spent the night. They came out with plenty of evidence that there were spirits trapped in the building.
