Hey there college Dems! We're back for the 2021-2022 school year! In the first episode of the podcast for this year, Tim and JT, the Communications Co-Chairs, talk about some political conspiracy theories, President Biden's current affairs, and some media we recommend!
In this episode of the podcast your hosts Emma, Chris, Gabby, and guest Sam Ajah discuss the recent Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates, including thoughts on the moderation and questions in both. They also briefly discuss Trump contracting COVID and its implications.
This week we kicked off the first segment of the pod dedicated to addressing issues that impact women and the non binary community—name pending. This particular episode club members Emma, Gabby, Maliha, Stella, and Aida talk about the current state of reproductive rights in the United States, Joe Biden’s history with reproductive rights and his VP choice, (Which we know by now to be Kamala Harris).

Sam Anawalt, Student Sustainability Coordinator for the Sustainability Institute at Penn State and former President of the Beekeeper's Club and UPUA Director of Sustainability, joins the pod to talk about sustainability and environmentalism at Penn State and several initiatives working to improve the eco-friendly nature on campus. Sam also comments on the national state of environmentalism.
General body member Vincent Meng comes on the show to discuss the Trump Administration's recent tariffs on China and the possible trade war between the two nations. Discussion moves to the realities of the growing Chinese economy for the United States, as well as their burgeoning technological advancements. Ultimately, Tom and Vincent speak of possible U.S. strategies in combating the rise of China and why Trump has it all wrong.
