I read “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee for students who prefer to listen to the novel as they follow along. I begin at Part 2 of the novel since that is when we stopped reading before the school closure began due to the nationwide COVID-19 outbreak.
I am no Gregory Peck, but I did my darnedest to do Atticus’ closing statement some amount of justice, no pun intended. It’s a beautiful speech and I hope you digest every word.
Excuse my sniffles near the end of the episode. I get riled up like Dill with this chapter.
Note: on page 243, there is a misspelling of Mayella’s name a little past halfway of the page. I stop the reading briefly to realize and point this out. :)
