The Marvel's first MCU project of 2025 comes in the form of Sam Wilson and Thaddeus Ross. Captain America: Brave New World opens with some great action sequences and falters a bit when establishing the plot of the movie and who the characters are. We also noticed that the movie seemed to shy away from making Sam Wilson's race a centerpiece of the hero's experience. Not to toot our own horn, but as soon as we got done recording, Savon said, "I really enjoyed that conversation. I think we were able to pick up on a lot of stuff in that one."

The newlyweds, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, have returned in Harley Quinn Season 3. At this point, we know that the show will be violent and irreverent but take great care to build depth and complexity into its characters. We break down everything we like (and a couple things we don't) in this HBO max animated series.

Mike has decided to step away from the pod and we give him a little send off before diving Octopus deep into the finale of Season 3 of The Boys. It was a chaotic and amazing season but what did the guys think about the show arguably ending up exactly where we started the season? All of that and more!

Where does Thor: Love and Thunder strike true and show itself to be worthy? And where does the movie eat a hammer? Listen in to find out how we felt when watching the movie and why we think we're better filmmakers than Taika Waititi and Kevin Feige.

Wesley, Savon, and Mike discuss whether the Obi-Wan Kenobi series stuck the landing. There was a lot to like but a few small things bugged some of our friends. Did the three of our also find it the show disappointing in the same way? One thing's for sure, we'll always be confident and this is going to be the best show you've ever listened to.

Mike gaslights us that building a PC from scratch is usually a really smooth process and that his difficulties were a one-off unlucky happenstance freak occurrence. Wesley forgets what a remaster vs. remake is in the video game world. And we have no interest in doing any reading about the differences between PS Plus subscription tiers because who cares? We can never escape the sands of Tatooine because Disney has to get its money's worth from the sets they built and because Obi-Wan loves to spy on a little boy through binoculars. That's not creepy at all Obi-Wan. Totally normal behavior. Anyway, the first three episodes dropped and it's largely been a pleasant surprise. Listen to find out what works, what doesn't, and why we felt the need to brutally critique a 10 year old actress. Hopefully you listen to our show before watching episode 4, 5, and 6.

The Confidently Wrong crew reacts to the end of Moon Knight, especially the last couple of episodes. There was some great moments, some weird moments, and some confusing moments. And when push comes to shove, Wesley asks the panel to stick to whole numbers and they literally cannot do it. Decimals abound for no reason. Listen in to find out what parts were waxing and what parts were waning. Yeah, that's a bad moon analogy.

Doctor Strange may be the most fundamentally flawed character in the MCU right now. Listen to the show to find out what our problem with him is and how his latest installment into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is flawed, in our esteemed opinion. And while Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness did some cool stuff, it left most of us feeling like it needed more time to bake. Hope you enjoy the show.

We answer some questions submitted by listeners and end up learning about Smash Bros socializing, drooling over Brian K Vaughan, and Savon's refusal to send thank you cards. But the biggest news is that we talk about actual books we've actually read. For a bunch of illiterate goofs, we managed to work in some real thoughts on real books. We're just as shocked as you are.

We take a look at DC's newest blockbuster, The Suicide Squad, and discuss everything from whether or not it's charting a new (better?) course for the DCEU to the possibility of a return for Will Smith's Deadshot. It was a silly and fun and nonsensical 2 hour thrill ride. But does that mean we liked it or hated it? And if you want to hear of a new food we invented, make sure you listen for Wesley's food analogy starting around 7:10 in the episode.

Loki might well have been Marvel's strongest effort to date on the Mouse's streaming service, but are there unintended consequences to this new avenue of storytelling? Mike also brings us a new segment called "S**t Mike Hates." Beware! This episode has some cursing (all curses are bleeped out, but still, this is probably not a kid-friendly one).

We get together to share What We're Loving (TM) as individuals. Listen in to hear why you should be checking out the Corridor Crew, Clarkson's Farm, Desus and Mero, and Rick and Morty. We definitely absolutely did not record this a couple weeks ago and try and release it today as if it's brand new. Definitely not. Enjoy this fresh, just recorded episode.

In the episode, Wesley references a podcast that interviewed the stunt coordinator/fight choreographer from Warrior (Brett Chan). That podcast is called Action Sit Rep and you can find a link to that episode here: https://strikebackcrib.com/2021/02/09/the-site-rep-brett-chan-the-man-we-had-to-talk-to/

Mike points out that eye rolling is to be expected in a seemingly forced romantic story-line for Loki, but that it makes total sense. Loki is a narcissist. In what might be the most anticipated Marvel story of 2021, we catch up with the God of Mischief himself, Loki, after he escaped from the Endgame timeline using the Tesseract (the security around that thing is, shall we say, lacking). You might think we had nothing to talk about so we did a mail bag episode. Not so. This was a chance to connect with those of you who have been talking to us about the pod and giving us your own takes. We received great questions and we yoked some moon shots into the upper deck. Just call us Karl Malone because we delivered. Send in your questions and we'll try to answer them. Caution to all Pelicans fans, we spend a little bit of time talking about the 2021 MVP, Julius Randle. And as the show title implies, we try to figure out who Savon would actually be impressed by. Listen to find out who we picked and who he thinks he would get him weak in the knees.

The Knicks making the playoffs for the first time in a long time is the backdrop for this glorious episode that doesn't have anything to do with Jimmy Dolan's third favorite hobby. Only one of us is a Knicks fan and that fan is going to be distracted because the Knicks were playing an important game while we were recording. You didn't come here for an NBA update, though, did you? In this week's show, we're bringing new, and impatient, insights into Breath of the Wild and one of us blew all of our allowance on Invincible Comics. In the second half of the show we discuss our initial impressions of the Bad Batch, a new Star Wars animated series. One of us didn't get the memo that we were trying to get the Mickey Dollars and poo poos it a bit. Find out who in the show.

It takes a lot of guts to continue to shout out sponsors that pay us no money and don't know we exist. It takes commitment to continue to make call backs to Oceans 11. And it certainly takes cajones to drop as dismal a grade as Mike did for Harley Quinn, the animated series streaming on HBO Max, which was frankly, a masterpiece. Not only that, Mike also takes another L when tooting his own horn about WandaVision episode 3. Enjoy Mike being incredibly wrong for 60 minutes! To his credit, he does share a magnificent story about the time Savon negged a celebrity.
