The Marvel's first MCU project of 2025 comes in the form of Sam Wilson and Thaddeus Ross. Captain America: Brave New World opens with some great action sequences and falters a bit when establishing the plot of the movie and who the characters are. We also noticed that the movie seemed to shy away from making Sam Wilson's race a centerpiece of the hero's experience. Not to toot our own horn, but as soon as we got done recording, Savon said, "I really enjoyed that conversation. I think we were able to pick up on a lot of stuff in that one."

The Rock's passion project, Black Adam, was released in theaters about a week ago. We can never escape the sands of Tatooine because Disney has to get its money's worth from the sets they built and because Obi-Wan loves to spy on a little boy through binoculars. That's not creepy at all Obi-Wan. Totally normal behavior. Anyway, the first three episodes dropped and it's largely been a pleasant surprise.
