Hi everyone welcome to Let’s Talk Fat! My name is Alma Soto and my name is Stephanie Leon and we are both first generation undergraduate Latina college students at CSU Fresno. We created this podcast in an effort to educate our society about body issues that women of color face. By bringing awareness to these issues we hope to create change. Starting by eliminating these negative stereotypes, changing the way media portrays body images, and encouraging acceptance towards all types of bodies and identities.
In today’s episode we will be talking about the influence that media has on body images. We wanted to talk about this bc media is something that is very popular rn and its extremely influential towards young women of color. We hope you enjoy!
