Holy Week Messages: Recent Episodes

I'm not a pastor. I have no training on the bible. Just a guy, who felt like I should say something during this Holy Week during this Global Pandemic.
Little is said about the day after Jesus' death and the day before He emerges from the tomb. It's not surprising as the day was a Sabbath Day, so there was little that could actually be done.
Let us take this day as a Sabbath Day and use it to bless the world or to be angry at God. It is likely the followers of Jesus did both on this day.
We don't have the convenience of Peter's faith, yet he still denies Jesus on this Good Friday.
It is in fear we most easily question our faith, yet it is in fear we most need it.
We pray to God for suffering to end. That people are healed. And sometimes, many times, we see nothing happen.
Even Jesus experienced the pain of unanswered prayers. He had two just on Maundy Thursday.
As Jesus spends his final days in Jerusalem, the Religious Leaders try and stump him with questions about scripture.
In Jesus answer, he teaches us something about how we should view ourselves in a time when it's easy to blame ourselves for so many different things.

Holy Week is a roller coaster of emotions, but it actually starts even before Palm Sunday. As a backdrop to Jesus' triumphant ride into Jerusalem, it comes shortly after he cries for the loss of his friend Lazarus.
We are facing unprecedented times. The roller coaster Jesus experiences is not far from what we will all feel over the coming weeks and months.
