Licorice Pizza Podcast is a vinyl focused podcast hosted and created by Anastasia Coulson-Gagnon. Throughout episodes, Anastasia and rotating guests go in-between the grooves to uncover stories and facts about vinyl.
In this episode, I talked with vinyl collector and music lover Jennifer Adolf. Jennifer used to work for HMV before it changed into Sunrise Records and has had experience working in record shops. Jennifer is an avid vinyl collector and loves all music, although, she's mainly a rock and roll fan. Jennifer also shared an amazing story of one of the duties she had at one of her record shop jobs.
In this episode, I spoke with musician and vinyl collector Jamie Williams. Jamie has been performing his one-man show across Ontario for over 25 years. He stays busy performing at resorts, dances, events, and weddings. On Jamies' website, he describes a typical stage setup: “My stage setup usually consists of ten guitars (acoustic, electric, 6-string, 12-string, bass), banjo, two mandolins (different tunings), banjo, electric violin, piano/keyboard, saxophone, percussion (kick drum, snare, bongos, chimes, shakers etc.) and an arsenal of harmonicas. I'm told it's very entertaining. I'm glad because I love to play!" Jamie has been collecting vinyl since he was a kid and has a collection of around 400 in his home. In this episode, I spoke with the husband-wife musical duo, Bongo and Andrea. Bongo and Andrea have been avid collectors of vinyl since they were children and bonded over their love of music. Together, they grew their collection and opened Camp Bongopix, a retro-themed cabin campsite located in Whitney, Ontario.
