In-Depth Interview: Audrey Murr Copland, Renowned International Healer and Teacher
Photos: Audrey Murr Copland giving spiritual healing early in her career; her new book on Healing available at Amazon; the author today.
Ruth Copland interviews Audrey Murr Copland who has built up a dedicated following over 35 years in the spiritual field. She was fortunate to develop her skills alongside mentors such as Sir George Trevelyan, Frederic Lionel, Lilla Bek, Brugh Joy and Barbara Ann Brennan. Audrey is a natural sensitive who works intuitively with colour and energy yet she has always sought to grow and develop her skills through experience and deep study. Consequently, her work is thoroughly grounded in the teachings of the great masters and is also practically tried and tested via the hundreds of individual healing consultations she has given and through her work with groups at conferences and courses all around the world. Audrey has also helped set up Healing organisations in Europe and the USA.
She first became aware of the healing power of her voice when she was presenting spiritual development groups where participants were entranced by the energy conveyed as she spoke. Students eagerly suggested that she should record her voice and she then developed the first of her creative visualisations which were an instant success. She has continued devising new meditations ever since and the whole range is now available to download. For more info and to buy the healing meditations or her book go to www.audreymurrcopland.com

‘Could everyone use some therapy?’ Even posing this question may seem preposterous as therapy is often seen as a last resort for serious personal malfunctions or, otherwise, as expensive, self-indulgent navel-gazing. Mental health has been stigmatised but that’s changing, and maybe we could all benefit. Ruth Copland's expert guest is Lori Gottlieb, best-selling author, psychotherapist and “Dear Therapist” advice columnist.
‘Could everyone use some therapy?’ To speculate on this necessitates considering what therapy is, how it’s viewed culturally, what it can address and what outcomes it might achieve, and how to choose a therapist. Ruth Copland's guest, Lori Gottlieb, is ideally placed to help us gain insights in these areas and provide some food for thought.
Lori Gottlieb is a practising psychotherapist, New York Times bestselling non-fiction author, and writer of The Atlantic‘s weekly “Dear Therapist” advice column. Her new book is ‘Maybe You Should Talk to Somebody’ and is being adapted as a television series with Eva Longoria. The book takes us behind the scenes of a therapist’s world, where her patients are looking for answers, and so is she! Lori's previous books include the best-selling ‘Marry Him - the case for settling for Mr Good Enough’ and ‘Stick Figure’, a memoir which takes the reader on a personal journey through preteen anorexia and the internal and cultural dynamics that shape it.
Lori Gottlieb is on the Advisory Council for Bring Change to Mind, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging dialogue about mental health, and to raising awareness, understanding, and empathy. Lori is also a valued contributor in the media and has appeared on such shows as The Today Show, Good Morning America, The CBS Early Show, CNN, and NPR’s “Fresh Air.”

'The Public' is about downtown Cincinnati librarians Stuart Goodson (Emilio Estevez) and Myra (Jena Malone) who see their regular winter day shaken up when homeless patrons decide to take shelter in their library for the night. What starts as a peaceful sit-in quickly escalates into a face-off with the police and the media.
Prior to its release in theatres, 'The Public' is being screened at the Cinequest Film Festival in Silicon Valley on March 9th 2019. Emilio Estevez will attend and take part in a discussion after the film. You can get tickets here 'The Public' Cinequest Screening
Emilio has established himself not only as an accomplished actor, but also as a talented writer, director and producer. In 2006, he wrote, directed and co-starred in the Golden Globe nominated for Best Picture and SAG ensemble nominee “Bobby,” which revisits the night Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated at the Ambassador Hotel in 1968 and is set against the backdrop of the cultural issues gripping the country at the time, including racism, sexual inequality and class differences. Emilio made his acting debut in Tim Hunter’s “Tex” and appeared in Francis Ford Coppola’s ensemble drama “The Outsiders,” both based on S.E. Hinton novels. Estevez’ performance as a quintessential high-school jock in John Hughes’ “The Breakfast Club” won him widespread attention and acclaim. Later that same year, he went on to appear in “St. Elmo’s Fire” before starring in “That Was Then, This Is Now,” for which he also wrote the screenplay. In 1996, Estevez directed his father Martin Sheen for the first time in the Vietnam drama “The War at Home” which Emilio also starred in and produced. Other film credits include, “Repo Man” “Mission: Impossible,” and the “Stakeout, “Young Guns” and “Mighty Ducks” franchise movies. Emilio’s new film “The Public” marks Emilio’s fourth invitation to the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival having previously been invited with his films THE WAR AT HOME, 1995, BOBBY 2006, THE WAY 2010).
