The opening track “Right On” creates a sonic universe where Ennio Morricone and John Carpenter have joined forces to make synth heavy dance music. „Maskaron“ sounds like a full homage to new wave and the obscure side of italo disco, topped with chanting reminiscent of 1970s western movies. On "Trippin´ On Your Love" Lee Stevens taps into early proto-house and synth-dance, complete with arp bass and occasional breakbeats.Track number four, "Ju Know," features Lee Stevens and long-time collaborator Simonlebon in a moody, upbeat jam with heavy low-end synths, bittersweet vocal samples, and 80s pop-style piano chords. Finally, the closing track "Destruction" features tight 808 drums accompanying a dark bassline and eerie vocals, with uplifting synth chords reminding us there is still hope.

LOST boyz and LOST girlzzz! It’s time to celebrate mid-summer on the 06.08. and for the first time since COVID began we are super pleased to finally announce the booking of international guest DJ’s again!! This months booking is a bit of a personal thing for us and our local DJ M Traxxx who has been following these guys since their humble beginnings in 2012, having lived in Vienna for a while himself. We are talking about none other than Vienna’s finest – the LUV SHACK Records crew! Luv Shack records started out as an avenue for local Vienna artists Lee Stevens, Simon Lebon, LeSale and Jakobin & Domino to release their own brand of downtempo house music that focused on quality – much in contrast to most of what was going on in the city at the time. Their first EP Luv is Louder set the tone for things to come with a fine mix of synth driven analog sounding deep house with elements of Disco and Chicago house all thrown into the mix. It was followed up by many a great release slowly expanding their artist pool to include people like Space Echo, Hard Ton and Rotciv to name but a few. They now hold down a regular guest spot in the Wild Renate in Berlin as well as playing all over Europe promoting the LUV. We look forward to welcoming them on the decks!! They will be supported by LOST regulars Michel Fialas and M Traxxx!

For his second single on Luv Shack Records, Lukas Poellauer teams up with legendary singer Hubert Tubbs of "Tower of Power" fame. Tubbs remarkable vocal timbre perfectly contrasts the light footed instrumental, as he sings about "When a Groove is in Control".
The actual groove itself is reduced and rather laid back, but Lukas Poellauer manages to bring in both dramatic and quirky overtones with a plethora of mallet, brass and string melodies. It's almost like spring is here!

The Polish DJ Ola Teks may not be very well known to music lovers outside of Poland and Germany, but to those that have been following the electronic music scene in Warsaw, Krakow, Lublin and even Moscow, the talented vinyl enthusiast has become a key figure with her Move Mózg Parties.
With high class bookings such as Soundstream, Konstantin Sibold, Session Victim or FJAAK, Ola has put her very own stamp on Polands electronic music landscape. With appearances at Plötzlich am Meer and Berlins Machine Vibes Festivals, Ola Teks also earned her spurs on international turf.

Volksfreude, the Dutch DJ and producer with German roots, has a firm background in the electronic music scene and nightlife of the Netherlands.

The French Producer/DJ Malcolm Dakeyo aka Kelton Prima is a true pioneer of the Parisian music scene, where he emerged in the late 80ies with the DIY funk band Future Minds. He’s worked with illustrious legends like Pilooski, is involved in music distribution, writes articles for press and runs the Ind.rec record label.
His recent releases on Jamal Moss’ Mathematics Recordings have garnered critical acclaim and he’s contributed to the remix project of Hard Ton`s “Party Hard Ton” on Luv Shack Records.
We’re stoked to have him contribute to our LUVCAST series with #66, a smoking hot mix that delves into Funk, House, Italo, EBM, Deep Techno & Ambient!

The british producer Gregg Holmes AKA Fingerman moved from being a local DJ to becoming an edit master like few others in the last 6 years, garnering ongoing support from none other than edit culture key figure Greg Wilson, which also lead to a vinyl release on Wilson´s A&R Edits Label.
He launched his own edit label Hot Digits and vinyl offshoot Wax Digits in 2014, and has since DJed alongside illustrious figures from the Disco Edit scene from Ibiza to Brighton.
His mix for our LUVCAST series is jam packed with tasty disco treats to warm up your winter for days.

Young up and coming Dj and producer Son Orbis knows his latin, his name basically meaning circular sound.
He's rooted in Dublin and follows the proud tradition of many Irish Electronic music afficionados in recent years by embracing Techno, House and Disco in it's various contemporary forms. Although the lo-fi side of house has been pretty much explored to the fullest in the last couple of years, his tracks have a personal feel and character that stands out.
Son Orbis offered us a gorgeous mix that pans between disco, house and afro, so without hesitation, we've decided to present it to you as part of our LUVCAST series!

Andrea Solitario aka Andrew Soul is an Italian DJ and producer who made his passion for edgy Chicago, acid and ghetto house public, by playing out and releasing music with artists like Snuff Crew, Hard Ton or Paris Brightledge.

Every DJ has an individual vision of the sound they want to pursue, and Adrian Tescan aka Highroller has dedicated himself to the "deep, hypnotic groove that has you nodding your head without you realising it".
The London based Romanian DJ has been in the business for nearly 5 years and has since shared decks with the likes of Mark Farina and Acid Pauli.

It’s time for some sticky, sweet, but highly sophisticated cosmic-disco-acid-house-pop action, curtesy of the Swedish “Dagfest” project. Their edits and catchy synth laden originals have been released on Paper Recordings and Editorial lately, and their skills as selectors can be checked out on the “Shades of Disco” Compilation on ISM Records.

A message reached Luv Shack headquarters, presumably from one of the Balearic Islands: 'One day when sky was green and grass was blue we walked along the sand holding our hands at some point we heard unexplained flute sounds - that was a sign. Don't drop acid on holidays.'

Their productions hark back to the sombre side of pop, new wave and italo disco. But albeit the dedication to dark 80s kitsch, the Neon Amish vibe is very much rooted in the house sound of today.

The LUVCAST series continues with a mix from a close friend of the label. Guiddo is a natural when it comes to music production, DJing and has recently become resident Dj at Pepper Club in the vast city of Shenzhen!
As one half of Manhooker, he was featured on LUV011, and with his solo project Guiddo, he scored a fantastic release on Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space imprint.

Younger than me are an Italian DJ and producer duo that are about to have their debut EP released on the Bordello a Parigi imprint early 2016.
The men behind this project are Marcello Carozzi and John Ming. Their musical cosmos is heavily influenced by styles that have emerged from the (European) disco era; namely italo, acid and balearic. Pineapple Pop is a new project by Istanbul based producer Hemi of Paradisko fame.

Every now and then we get a strange and super genre specific mix for our LUVCAST series, and it's that time again. Manuel Dolp is a very active DJ from Vienna who has devoted himself to music with a futuristic twist, be it from the late 70s or today. He's one of the people behind Viennas "Everybody´s Darling" nights.
For the mix, he told us that he "tries to offer an initiation of the glorious but neglected genre called freestyle." And he added: "Be so kind and take some time to listen to my outdated taste of bass music". Allright Manuel, we will :)

Austria is currently a great breeding ground for talent and with the vast amount of talented producers in the scene there's an array of interesting matches that have emerged in the last couple of years.
One of these projects was Ghost Capsules, an electronic pop group constituted of Tim Simenon (of Bomb the Bass fame), the singer Laura Gomez, Roman Luma on the drums and Georg Lichtenauer aka Valesta. While Ghost Capsules came to an end last year Valesta is still pursuing his solo career and currently pushing his sound through Jhruza rec.
Georg has an unmistakable talent for tastefully interweaving pop, disco and house, be it in his tracks or DJ sets. Here's LUVCAST 037 by Valesta!
LUVCAST 036 is a musical journey, courtesy of Vikipop aka Viktor Szekrényes. Working in Budapests 'Trancewave' recordstore in the 90's, Victor amassed an extensive electronic music knowledge, which led to him becoming an edior for hungarian e-music website/magazine Freee.hu.
It was almost a decade later that he decided to take the plunge and start DJing. Since 2012, Victor has been working as an assistant for german house-heavyweight Tensnake.
His mix is a tribute to 'real' deep house music. In his own words: "There are no unexpected turns, no flashy elements, no unreleased tunes, I just tried to collect some of my all time favourite deep house tunes." Period!

This new LUVCAST is by Rob Campari and Zoltan 'the gorilla', and its a "late night podcast of new and old music".
Rob Campari has been running his party series 'Campari Safari' and 'Everybody´s Darling' (together with Manuel Dolp) for over ten years in various venues in Bristol, London and Vienna. Artists booked varied from Gang of Four to Bo Ningen to Horse Meat Disco. As part of the Everybody's Darling party crew, he and Zoltan have been partners in crime for a while now and its no wonder this seemed like a good match for our Luv Shack podcast series.
Their mix is not really "mixed" as they wanted to play new music and classics you can hear at Everybodys Darling , Another Island (their club in London) or Wild Life - their new night with cosmic and anything wild and a little outside the norm. Drink it in!

For the next LUVCAST we've got quite a biggie in store! It's from none other than (Acid) House / Techno icon TIN MAN who is (as are we) based in our lovable city Vienna.
The California born Johannes Auvinen is not only a multi instrumentalist and analog freak but also quite a visionary when it comes to musical boundaries. His seven (!) albums were released between 2004 and 2014, encompassing a staggering amount of styles ranging from raw acid house to ambient chamber pop. Being an admirer of 80s synthpop, TIN MAN would even sing on many of his tracks - which is a good indicator of just how inconvenient it is to simply call him a techno producer. 2014 also marked the year when his skills as a selector were aquired by Resident Advisor for their prolific mix series.

What do KINK, Juju & Jordash and Toby Tobias have in common? Apart from being awesome electronic musicians and performers, they have all released on Croatias outstanding techno and house label Burek. And behind this exciting and ever consistent Label stands Pytzek and his partner Mislav.
He's a producer himself, and an exceptionally busy DJ in Croatias scene, being based in Zagreb and playing the legendary Garden Festival for years (also the final one this summer!)
Given his busy schedule, we're very happy to have been offered a mix by Pytzek to add to our luvcast series - great tunes to get us all pumped for spring!

Daso, a new player within the ranks of Luv Shack Records (with two tracks on LUV015) is by no means a stranger to the electronic music scene.
His first appearances on Spectral, Connaiseur or My Best Friend and collabs with Florian Meindl and Franklin Da Costa have helped him amass a strong following in the house & techno community - and his recent excursions into disco territory (including an excellent EP on Dikso) have proven to be just as intricate and rich in detail as his earlier, more techno oriented, productions.

Megadon Betamax is the one man synth-disco-band of Dubai based Australian Mostyn Rieschmueller, who is also one of the three minds behind the superb undergound label Voyeurhythm.
His productions keenly hover between sophisticated modern disco and eerie leftfield synthesizer boogie. As a DJ, Mostyn clearly loves to assemble music from all the different genres that shaped the house sound of today. In his mix for our LUVCAST series, the musical palette is as rich as the city Mostyn lives in (ha!) - ranging from lush jazzfunk to edgy house.

Looking back at the catalogue of Jacques Renault, it's hard to believe that his first ever solo release was in 2008.
Collaborations with Marcos Cabral as Runaways, the foundation of On the Prowl / OTP party breaks, Lets Play House/ LPH White, a rich set of singles and countless remixes have since been added to his list of achievements as a producer & manager, and by the looks of it,

LUVCAST 026 is here! This time Luv Shack Records' very own LeSale jumps in to present us an exclusive mix packed with a selection of rare, classic and modern disco and boogie jams - and it's his first LUVCAST for the eponymous mix series!

Ever since the epic space disco masterpieces of early Lindstrom, the electronic music world has looked closely at everything coming from the Nordics.
We have also looked north, and found one handsome man named Jarle Brathen – a Full Pupp mate of Prins Thomas and Todd Terje – to contribute to our LUVCAST series.

For a change, here comes a LUVCAST by two bavarian youngsters that live and party (and DJ, for that matter) in one if Europe's finest cities for electronic music: Munich!
Damnitsdisco are "Johannes better known as Findus and Bernie aka Acid Kayak" - alright?
Their passion for non-minimal music in a somewhat narrow minded surrounding helped them emerge as bonafied party organizers and DJs after they moved to Munich in 2000. With a series of club nights and back to back sets, they have become a respected duo in this rich city of electronic music culture.
Their current home base is the KONG and their party is called "Farbe am Morgen". The mix we're featuring was recorded live at one of their nights - nothing but KILLER disco and house cuts!

Italian duo extraordinaire Hard Ton have a reputation of being everything but ‘normal’.
Their benevolent productions for dozens of fine elecronic labels (like Permanent Vacation, Danny Was A Drag King, Toy Tonics or Skint) are just as much a part of Hard Ton as is the amazing falsetto voice of singer Max and his drag appearances on several brilliant videos!

Our city Vienna is a breeding area for electronic music as it seems. Whilst the glorious days of most of the downbeat heroes are over, there's a large number of new talented acts entering the scene.
However the next contributors to our Luvcast series aren't newcomers by any means. Constantin Zeileissen & Philipp Haffner have been producing highly acclaimed and complex electro and techno under the moniker Microthol since 2003. The last two years they focused entirely on the productions for Andy Butlers' project Hercules and Love Affair - which can be heard on the upcoming album "The Feast of the Broken Heart".
Accompanying this fantastic project, the Duo also started producing uninhibited House tracks under the alias Ha-Ze Factory - their first track appearing on Andy Butlers DJ Kicks series.
Needless to say its a great pleasure to present LUVCAST 020 by Ha-Ze Factory. Pure, energetic House music with a lot of real classics and the odd bit of gnarly disco.

It`s LUVCAST time again! And for number 019 we've been offered a mix from Manuel Kim, who is one of the key figures in Munichs electronic music scene.
He's running the prestigious GOMMA records, as well as Toy Tonics. (The latter is also home to a couple of his classic house edits.)
Since 2012, Munichs nightlife has been pimped by Manuels bi-monthly nights at the wonderful club "Charlie". Among fellow DJs and musicians, Manuel Kim is known as an extremely versatile DJ and acribic record collector.

Samanta Fox, the super-energetic duo from Berlin are providing the next installment of our LUVCAST mix series.
As workhorses for the fabled “Salon zur wilden Renate”, Samanta Fox have recently released a great little EP on Renate Schallplatten alongside Snuff Crew´s “Snuffo” (including a brilliant Skatebard remix). Alongside their work as Renate floor managers, they’re co-hosting the Radio Renate shows as well as the Whiskey Tango Foxtrott nights at Renate.
Their taste in music is anything but linear; definitely a bit more techno than disco, but always surprising in a good way!

The first LUVCAST in 2014 comes from viennese DJ Curly Sue.
He is a close friend of Luv Shack Records and an occasional studio buddy of Lee Stevens. Together they revamped the old Police classic "Roxanne". Curly, whos real name is Michael Weiler, is one of the masterminds of the viennese crew 'Jugendstil' - a key collective of the Austrian underground music scene.
His taste and style have helped him become a renowned DJ in Vienna, and we think his selections are just in tune with what we like at LuvShack!

Local Suicide consists of the eager and extremely busy couple Brax Moody and Vamparela.
Bringing the best of both their musical and geographical heritage to the (turn-)table (Brax Moody is from Munich, Vamparela from Thessaloniki), the duo’s Berlin based Local Suicide project became a very successful radioshow, blog and platform for electronic music from all over the globe.
However the heart of Local Suicide is their work as DJs, which had them tour the globe regularly for the last couple of years. Their sets are packed with eveything that is good and new, yet never limited to a single genre.
Knowing this, we were excited to recieve an exclusive Local Suicide mix for our LUVCAST series. Needless to say we are very pleased with the result; modern italo-esque electro, high-brow house (Tyson Ballards new EP on VR!) with a generous help of Acid.

LUVCAST 013 comes from two aspiring producers, passionate DJs and true vinyl lovers in the heart of Vienna. Sebastian Oberst and Andreas Buchner (in the simplest manner, calling themselves “Oberst & Buchner”) have become an integral part of the viennese music scene in a matter of three years, with being part of the popular ‘Klub Fraktal’ nights.
And because they are nice & talented chaps, our friends at “Schönbrunner Perlen” have released the Oberst & Buchner debut EP ‘Today I Feel’ in 2012. Supporting local artists has become unpopular, which is plain wrong, and we don’t want to be part of this trend! So we were curious to see what they’d come up with when asked to do a mix for our Luvcast series, and we are not dissapointed!
Oberst & Buchner created a well knitted blend of intelligent and deep cuts from todays elite of intelligent and deep producers. Well played!

The brooding and constantly evolving city of Berlin is renowned for a high density and diversity of quality party locations. Every weekend, the great DJs gathering in this city would easily make a fine lineup for any electronic music festival.
The mysterious duo Peak & Swift have put their very own stamp on this scene by helping the extravant “Salon zur wilden Renate” become one of the key locations of the city.
Advocating a non minimalist approach in music, they opened doors to more creative and disco influenced nights for a city that has a heritage of dry techno. Their reputation as fine DJs is widely known, and most recently Peak & Swift launched Renates very own record label. For our Luvcast series, the berliners came up with a stunning mix that clearly shows their very own blend of disco infused dance tunes and new house a la carte. Drink it in!

In the year 1973, electronic instrument manufacturer Roland introduced the RE-201 tape delay. This machine became a highly sought after fx unit and is still playing a substancial role in many modern studios, however it is better known by the name ‘Space Echo’.
When Luv Shack’s Lee Stevens sat down with fellow Austrian producer caTekk, and – after a long dialogue about music, life and reverb effects – they decided to team up in the studio, it came as no surprise they chose the name of this very effects unit for their project. Their focus is all on modern day dance music, yet ‘Space Echo’ share a very distinct passion for the different musical origins of what we now call house, dance or nu-disco which always comes into play in their productions.
For LUVCAST 011, Lee Stevens and caTekk have cooked up a brilliant ‘Space Echo’ mix, which takes us from tough uk house to high brow scandinavian neo-disco with perfect ease. Space Echo’s ‘Soul Power’ (LUV011) included!

When producer Tomasz “Guiddo” Switala and vocalist Sebastian “Mavin” Magassouba join forces in the studio or on stage, they go by the witty yet catchy name Manhooker.
They have a remarkable reputation in Europe’s music capital Berlin where they performed in the fabled Berghain and successively released on Ostgut Ton’s sublabel Unterton.
Luv Shack Records aquired one of their tracks for upcoming release LUV011 and in the wake of this collaboration we asked the duo for a contribution to the Luvcast mix series.
What we got is a wonderful ride through Manhooker`s musical cosmos: hip-house classics, disco/hip-hop jams, acid and deep house. All tracks were lovingly selected by both Mavin & Guiddo and mixed by the latter. Enjoy!

The Luvcast series continues with a bit of a special mix.
Radio Diffusion, a new addition to the Compost Records roster and one of the remixers of our latest release “Sum Of Luv”, have been prone to producing without genre boundaries since we first heard of them.
And so it came as no surprise when they sent us this very diverse, two and a half (!!!) hour long mix.
It’s a vibrant ride full of warm vocal electronica, leftfield house and disco and a bit of techno. This mix is well worth a listen and definitely a great nod towards Radio Diffusion’s skills as Djs!

He is quite a legend in Viennas music scene and he has been hosting a weekly mix-show on austrias number one alternative Radio FM4 since 18 years.The London born DJ and self declared beer advocate (Beales: "the last track in this mix is dedicated to beer!") has been active in Viennas scene since 1991 and hence knows the people, the spots and vibe of the city.
One other thing the Hippy knows is good music and how to use it wisely! Although he's rooted in techno and bass music, Beales effortlessly changes styles and feels at home with house just as with Drum&Bass.

The next contributor to the exclusive podcast series for Luv Shack Records is brazilian producer extraordinaire ROTCIV. Berlin based and super busy since five years, the label founder and head of 'Mister Mistery' is working hard to conquer one of the globes strongest electronic scenes. Whilst it might not seem very ecclectic to use only self produced tracks in a mix, this is not the case with J&D versatility, a will to experiment with style and sound and a high quality of production can be felt throughout. For our second Luvcast we’ve asked one of Vienna’s first Disco / Edits exports to grant us an insight into his current musical dwellings. His edits for the dutch Disco Devil imprint were highly sought after and got regular plays by heavy weights like Prins Thomas or Todd Terje. The two 12″s on his own label “Phönix Project” were also critically acclaimed, as was his contribution to the brilliant “Kojak Giant Sound” series.
As a DJ, mikeBurns is known for his benevolent mixing skills and thoughful, vinyl heavy selection. His amazing collection of disco-oddities and leftfield afro/latin/boogie 7″s and 12″s have given him the reputation of a true Disco connaisseur.
