Arnav Chakrabarty (born October 26, 1997), better known by his stage name Yung Xiety, is an Indian rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer from Calcutta, India. He is signed to It's Lit Records his homegrown international record label.
Arnav Chakrabarty was born on October 26, 1997, in Calcutta, India and was raised in the city's southbound neighbourhood. He is of Bengali descent his parents are Bengali originally from the Southern state of West Bengal in India. His mother was involved with Sweden Cosmetic Giant Oriflame and his father worked as an Engineer. Yung Xiety first became interested in music after his mother made him listen to Indian classical songs in his elementary days. He began taking lessons in both eastern and western classical since the age of 11. By the time he was 16, he could sing and play the guitar, later teaching himself to play the piano. He also started doing covers and medleys in high school and started producing beats after dropping out of high school in his 12th grade. Yung Xiety dropped his first single Zero F*cks on 2017 and became popular on SoundCloud. Yung Xiety first started producing using fl studio software and still uses till date. Yung Xiety attended GD. Birla Centre For Education for his high school education and dropped out in 12th grade. While live on Instagram, Yung Xiety talked about how he had gotten into trouble during high school and would frequently be suspended.
Yung Xiety originally started making music under the stage name “Digital Mvfia” However, his main career began due to a breakup at the age of 18. He later changed his stage name to Yung Xiety. He very quickly gained popularity upon releasing preliminary tracks, such as “Zero F*cks”, “Calling”, and “Thinking Bout You”. These are, to this day, some of his most popular songs. He has also recently released a single with Sydney, Australian rapper, Lil Rock, titled “Psycho”.
Yung Xiety has been compared, lyrically, to artists such as Juice WRLD and Trevor Daniel, The Weeknd, Iann Dior, to Lil Skies and Lil Mosey. He is generally known for an “emo rap” style, similar to the artists aforementioned.
