Episode details: injoyliving.ca/lessons-in-the-wrong-direction

Imagine how easy life could be if we just allowed ourselves to flow with our intuition? Every day we are being guided internally to make decisions, take a certain direction, change directions and make changes. The information is there and it's clear but we tend to not hear it or ignore it because it feels scary.

🤯 What if this doesn't work out?

🤯 What if I make a mistake?

🤯 What if it's scary and messy?

🤯 What if I feel even worse?

These questions end up stagnating our growth because constantly worrying if we are going the right way, will never lead us where we're meant to be. What I've learned is that my most important decisions felt like the wrong ones in the moment. Most of the risks I've taken have had less than 0 guarantees. Almost every time I've followed my gut I've been scared out of my mind. BUT!! Every single time these decisions have brought me to where I was meant to go next, helped me grow exactly how I needed to and landed me in a much better place. This has been my philosophy for as long as I can remember:

"The Actions You Are Not Willing To Take or The Decisions You Are Not Willing To Make, Are The Ones That Will Change Your Life!"

When was the last time you let yourself get bored? I mean to just sit in blank space, let your imagination run free and wait for inspiration to hit...As I thought about this this morning nostalgia took over me. I was pulled back into my childhood in moments when I would get bored. It's when I would sit in that boredom that I would get hit with a wave of inspiration or creativity and then go out into the world and experiment with my ideas. It was SO fun and refreshing. No we are ALWAYS filling space with our phones, tablets, work, computers and so on. As soon as we have nothing to do we pick up our phones (guilty ā˜šŸ½).

Try to remember a time when we had no phones...what would you do when you were bored?

We underestimate the power of space as we become adults. We don't realize how much creativity we have inside of us just waiting to come out (if we would only create enough space for it to emmerge). This morning I was sitting on my back porch as the rain was getting ready to pour down with a book in one hand, coffee in the other and I was inhaling so much of life around me. It was exquisite!!! Try it and get to know a whole part of yourself that you might not have even discovered yet...the deeper layers of yourself that can be accessed in the white space you create.

The book I'm reading that inspired this podcast is called "Essentialism" by Greg McKeowen. Take a peek here šŸ“² www.instagram.com/p/CEOt9UWn1uN/

Where are the control freaks??? Come one...raise your hand šŸ™‹šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøĀ  Clarity is unfortunately not something we can force or control in any way and when we try to do that, we manipulate life in a way that is not meant to be. Clarity has its own schedule for arrival...its own divine timing and the more we can trust that, the easier we will flow with life. We can't do better than what life has planned for us. There is a process to everything in your life that you need to trust. If you don't have the answers now it's because you're not meant to have them. They will come when it's time for you to take action. But here's the thing, this clarity will be hard to decifer if you don't get quiet enough to hear its wisdom. Slowing down and creating space in your day is the one thing you CAN control that will help you hear and see things clearly.

When did we forget that we are all human? Fame is something that I chased for a large part of my life but I've come to see how gloriLESS it actually is. We forget the pressure, obligations and perfectionnism that is asked of people like Ellen. Chelsea Handler talks about how bottomless fame can become in her book "Life will be the death of me". Zach Effron talks about how he really feels about Hollywood in his docu-series "Down to Earth" on Netflix. Fame really isn't that glorious!

I truly doubt that Ellen had any intention of harming anyone. I think she was just expressing some very human emotions on days where she might have been exhausted. She is being asked everyday to show up and make us all happy. I wonder if anyone ever though of how heavy that responsibility must feel? So I think we need to give her a bit of grace. And I also think we need to redefine what kind of success we really want and WHY. The why behind where we are choosing to put our energy is so so important. Life is asking us to look deeper right now. Everything that is not longer sustainable for our health and happiness is currently crashing. We all need a rebirth and I think right now, this crash for Ellen is a gift in disguise. She deserves a little break and maybe life is just giving her the opportunity to rest and make herself happy for once!

I hope this podcast inspires you to choose joy!

We are in a constant experience of duality in our life. Experiencing the light and the dark, beautiful and challenging moments, flow and messiness! In order to grow and experience life at a deeper level, we need the challenges, the hard and dark times. I always say that breakthroughs happen in breakdowns! I think we all have the choice to live our life on the surface or to dive deep but in order to do that we need to be able to find grace in the dualities we experience AND learn to be resilient. I truly hope that this episode will inspire you to dive DEEP and use both light and dark times to your advantage to access a layer of life that will allow you to Injoy Living in a whole new way!

Every day during this Pandemic I wake up wondering how my people are doing. We are all experiencing this so differently. For some it's scary, for others it's expansive and many are experiencing anxiety. Whatever is happening now just embrace it and know that this too shall pass and we are all here to support each other. I hope my words will inspire you to use this moment as an opportunity.

Grief is an essential part of living. Through the experience of grief we learn to see life through a brighter lens, appreciate more deeply and live more consciously. Wether you have lost a loved one, a pet, a relationship or are grieving letting go of old parts of yourself, it's a similar experience that leads us to a more meaningful life. To celebrate the 100th episode, I’m excited to tell you that I have interviewed Beth Kempton (https://bethkempton.com) author of Wabi Sabi: Japanese Wisdom for a Perfectly Imperfect Life and Calm Christmas and Happy New Year, my two recent favourite books! Beth is from England. She’s a mama, writer, speaker, entrepreneur and Japanologist and let me tell you that learning from her or being inspired by her in any way lights a fire inside to truly INJOY LIVING at a deeper level.

The story of how she found her passion is so hilariously random and at the same time so exciting and inspiring! She literally has the most deeply inspiring Instagram feed I’ve ever followed. The love for her work and her kind generous heart is infused in the value of what she puts out into the world.

And if you are craving a calm and peaceful Christmas, I strongly recommend ordering her new book Calm Christmas and Happy New Year and snuggle up with a blanket over the next month or so. It’s a magical book.

This episode should leave you inspired to live more simply, joyfully and with passion.

INJOY...here’s Beth! https://www.injoyliving.ca/beth-kempton

As soon as we become too strict and rigid with our goals and intentions, we kill the potential for them to come to life and to stay in our life consistently. We forget that there is a natural flow to making things happen that is supported by the universe and that doesn’t need our action taking all that much. We actually don’t need to be meddling or controlling that flow as much as we think. It has it’s own plan.

It’s much more constructive to stay consistent and clear with our intention. In today’s episode I’m going to challenge you to let go of scheduling, planning and controlling the outcome of your goals to see what happens.

The key to creating or achieving anything sustainable and successful - whether that’s becoming healthier, having a successful business or a happy relationship - is long term consistent effort.

The reason we give up on consistency is because it ends up feeling boring. But consistency doesn’t have to take up most of our time in the week. If you do different and creative things in between your small consistent efforts you will feel more motivated to take consistent action over a long period of time to reach the success you’re aiming for. Be consistent to reach your goals because it’s truly worth the effort.

We all have our own unique trail to follow. Life is constantly leaving us hints, clues and golden nuggets of information on our path as we move forward to send us in the direction of success, happiness and fulfillment. But what are those clues and how can we see them?

In this episode I talk about the magic of how life is constantly guiding us even when we don’t think so, what we need to do to see those clues to move towards the highest potential of our life and a concrete example of one clue that I almost ignored that brought a very important person into my life.

There are many different layers to success along with many different forms of it. One thing that is for sure is that sustainable success is the best one. One that is built on a solid foundation that can evolve and grow with time, without having to constantly start over.

Over the years, I’ve seen 2 key things that make a huge difference in the quality of one’s success and this is what I share with you today. One of these is something we all resist a lot, because starting something new often feels much more exciting than sticking with something old. But if you practice the first key that I talk about in this podcast (that starts with a C) you won’t feel like you’re sticking with someone old. Instead you’ll feel like your journey and projects stay fresh and exciting!

The struggle is real! We all have moments when we feel broken. When we're a complete mess and shit goes sideways. How most of us react, is that we resist letting that be. We fight back, we try to fix things or we simply make ourselves feel like a real sh*it. Especially when we become more successful or more evolved, we think that we shouldn't be feeling like that. Why would we when everything is suppose to be going right. The truth is, things have to sometimes go wrong. Happiness and comfort are not consistent things that we can expect to have all the time.

It's fine to feel broken sometimes and to let yourself be broken for the time that it needs to last. You can't always have your shit together. Some days are smooth and others are not. The more you just go with the flow of things, the less you will be battling with life. I hope this episodes inspires you to embrace feeling broken when it does happen and maybe even enjoys those moments to check out!

We THINK that life is about reaching goals and destinations but the truth is, life is a journey of processes filled with learning experiences and magical moments. Our mind gets stuck on the end points which makes us miss out and forget the importance of that space between a-z, which I call the filling in the sandwich.

When we start to really honour and enjoy the process, that space between when you started something and when you finished something, not only is the destination or goal more exciting but the way there becomes enjoyable and fulfilling. You end up living your life on a deeper level than if you were just speeding forward to reach the destination.

In this episode I want to encourage you to slow down and really really have fun in the process of whatever you are trying to create right now, because truly the destination is only a resting point before you begin the next process.

There is soooo much confusion around fulfilling your purpose that it actually gets people sidetracked from ACTUALLY fulfilling their purpose. We get distracted by looking for this shiny thing that is suppose to feel like our PURPOSE, then when we can’t find it we feel lost and confused, simmering in anxiety.

Fulfilling your purpose is simple yet messy, not clear and not glamourous. The result of doing the small daily actions of what I talk about in this episode then leads to all the pieces coming together and looking ā€œprettyā€ but the journey is different than what we all expect. My wish is that after listening to this episode you will feel motivated to just do what you are so great at daily, that you will feel a clear sense of direction and not get distracted with this (fake) idea that you need to find this thing that you can’t seem to find. I bet that you are ALREADY on the right track and you don’t even know it ;).

We all have yearnings. These feelings inside that want to steer us in a certain direction. They are not always clear or logical, but they are there...for each and every one of us. What I've learned is that trying to rationalize those yearnings will just steer you in the opposite direction. Trusting them and taking simple actions on a regular basis will lead you to where you are meant to be and towards the experiences that are most fulfilling for you.

One of my yearnings has always been to feel close to Oprah. Rational? Pfaa I don't think so. Although I'd love to sit down with her and chat over a cup of chaĆ®, it's probably best that I don't wait on that BUT engaging in experiences that will make me feel close to her energetically and spiritually YES! So today, I'm sharing an experience with you that was so so important to be, which is when I had the chance to walk in her gardens on the beautiful island of Maui and the lessons I learned from that experience!

Life is a simple process of starting over, day after day and our role in this routine is to find simple joys within the recurring things that we need to do. Lately, I've been feeling a lot of overwhelm in the daily tasks of cleaning, cooking and tending to life's responsibilities. I keep letting myself fall into the rabbit whole of being surprised each time I need to clean the house again thinking 'Hen? Is this not suppose to stay clean forever since I last cleaned it?' or 'What the hell, I am the only one who has a self dirtying house?'. My realization was that overwhelm comes from overthinking and if we just do the task at hand expecting that we will have to do it again and create the intention to find joy in the process of it, we won't feel so frustrated!

We often confuse pain with suffering. Pain is something that is inevitable. We will all experience it for many different reasons as we walk this journey of life. Suffering is us simmering in our pain, which is something we also all have the choice to do or not.

Although pain is really uncomfortable there is so much wisdom behind it and always an opportunity for growth and gratitude. I hope this episode helps you through a current difficult moment or a future one, and maybe even helps you gain perspective on a past one.

If you think that you need to control your thoughts and you’re feeling exhausted trying to do so, this episode will be really refreshing for you because I’m telling you, it doesn’t have to be so much work.

Think about when you’re driving somewhere and you take the wrong turn. You didn’t really do it on purpose right? Do you think you could go back in time and change that bad turn or make sure that you never ever make that bad turn again in your life? No because it wasn’t necessarily conscious. All you can do, is take the next right turn in the direction that you know want to go.

Thoughts and the stories that go on in our minds are the same. You might be surprised at how much you can relax in this process and still get great results when it comes to thinking positively!

Life is not meant for us to skip some steps and fast track the process of things. Simple is the start and if we can’t INJOY, master, manage and be present in the simple things in life, we won’t be able to INJOY, master, manage and be present in the bigger things in life. Nor will we be able to create them. You will not INJOY your life more when you are more successful, have more money or have a maid who does it all for you, if you can’t INJOY what is or what you have now. When I turn around in circles with my creative energy not knowing what to do, where to go or what to eat, I remember to just go do something simple, like take a walk, a shower or sit down to play with the doggies. From there, magic always happens, including all the insights I get for these podcast episodes.

There is information that the mind knows and there is information that the soul knows. The mind always wants to be doing and fixing things. The soul always wants to be experiencing life and flowing freely. We often listen more to the mind than to our soul’s wisdom, which is why we are always trying to do and fix things insteading of trusting in the wisdom of life. What if all the problems and overwhelm you had right now were not that big of a problem. And what if the only thing you had to do about it all was NOTHING? In this week’s episode I talk about how all the problems I woke up with one morning got fixed, by me simply going to the beach and letting go. I hope this episode inspires you to say ā€˜fuck it’ and just let it all go!

Why oh why do we torture ourselves so much? We have made up all these rules about how we need to show up in the world, to be a good wife, a good parent, a successful entrepreneur, a good pet owner. And I bet that you have a nice big list of things you THINK you need to be doing that you really don’t INJOY! Let’s stop this won’t we?

This morning, I had one of the most frustrating experiences while walking my dogs, that also brought me great insight on why I need to STOP walking my dogs. This emotional charge that came from this experience made me realize that my entire life, I’ve felt frustrated in specific situations, all ones where I was forcing myself to do things that didn’t float my boat.

May this episode inspire you to live joyfully and stop doing the things that you just don’t like!

What a myth it is, this idea that we think we are failing! What I’ve come to understand is that all life is, is an accumulation of experiences, leading us in different directions. And our role, is to pay close enough attention to our gut, to know which direction to take at different moments of our life. But we’re so hard on ourselves when things are not working out when and how we wanted them to. We think that it’s a representation of how good or not good we are, of how success we will or will not be. That thinking, is what keeps so many people stuck, along with doing the opposite of what life is asking for us, when things aren’t happening as we’d planned. My hope is that this podcast will give you a fresh new perspective on failure and on the struggles you are having right now.

Letting things happen is one of the hardest things to do as human beings. We think that we need to control every little aspect of our life and that our success and happiness is all up to us. Although, I'm a strong believer in taking responsibility for yourself and the goals you want to reach, I also believe from my core that there are parts of this process that are not up to us, where we need to just let go and let life life do it's magic. There is a wisdom behind life that is not tangible or visible to the eye, which makes it hard to trust sometimes. But if we can learn to step back (let go) in the right moments, magic can happen! In this episode, I talk about this magic and give an example of something that happened recently to me and how chocked I was at the result that came from releasing control.

Starbucks has always been one of the companies that has inspired me the most, personally as an entrepreneur and creatively in my work. There is something about the place that brings us back, over and over again. There's a sense of feeling at home, taken care of and being appreciated. I've always been so curious about why I feel the way I do when I go there and why I can tap into my creativity in a way that I can't so easily anywhere else. The space they hold for us is the answer, and this is what I dive into in today's episode.

There's something valuable to hear in this episode for how you run your business but also just how you show up for the people in your life. Trying to write a book, launch a dream project or get through some overwhelming tasks? Maybe you just need to go sit at Starbucks for a few hours.

God, us humans have a hard time letting go don't we? When we're faced with struggle & challenges we think that we have so much to do to fix that obstacle in front of us (or in our head). In "The art of making things happen's" formula of creating Intention, Action & Letting Go, letting go is most often the most difficult one to put into practice. Because that means releasing control and trusting life, which, quite frankly is not an easy thing to do. Over and over again, life has shown me (and probably you too) that it's got our back and when we just relax, everything falls into place. Creating a clear intention and taking the right, simple actions IS A GOOD thing to do. The problem is we over do the actions. We force things. And we overthink a problem that just needs time so that it can evolve. I hope this episode inspires you to take a step back from whatever feels challenging to you right now so that you can gain some fresh new perspective to take that next step forward.

When I watched this amazing TED talk with Jill Bolte Taylor called My Stroke of Insight I was in awe of how simple stress had suddenly become in my mind. Having a background in Yogatherapy, I knew and understood a lot about stress already, but it always seemed like so much work to manage. There always seemed to be a task associated to dealing with stress, until I discovered that we just had to do activities that stimulated the right side of our brain and most of those things are tied to pleasure. I hope you get as much insight and excitement as I did after you listen to this podcast episode and watch the TED talk. More and more as I move forward, I'm realizing how simple things can be in life...and that is so freeing!

The truth is, procrastination is a normal human thing and the struggle is real. We all do it. What happens though is most of us think that we are broken because we procrastinate. You're not broken, that's for sure and getting rid of procrastination is actually a lot more simple than you think. Any problem or struggle that we have in our life is often more simple to fix than we think because the solution can never been found in the place where the problem is. We can't think our way out of it but we CAN take one simple step forward in a different direction. That direction, when it comes to procrastination, is often the one that is pulling you by the nose.

One of my all time favourite life strategies, "Fake it till you make it" has allowed me to achieve many goals in my life and business. I know, I know, we all want to have our shit together before we put ourselves out there. We want to feel confident, know what we are doing and have as little chance as possible to make a fool of ourselves. But if you wait for that, you won't get very far in life. That said, you CAN put on a great show so that people THINK you've got it together!

Listen up to see how this strategy helped me get through some tough times in my life and why you should start practicing it too!

While I’m not a mom yet, I recently watched the oh-so-amazing movie, Bad Moms and was completely stunned by the lessons I learned. I saw the movie from both the perspective of an entrepreneur and a woman: how we take on so much, how we set the bar so high, how we struggle to get through our to-do’s lists each day and how this takes us away from actually enjoying life and being more present. I remembered how being bad can be actually quite fun and liberating sometimes.

I remember the beginning of my journey as an entrepreneur. I was ā€œhustlingā€ do get things done every single day and the feeling of being busy would make me feel ā€œsuccessfulā€ or feel as if I were moving towards success. But now I know, from the bottom of my core, how that is not true.

Busyness takes us away from our full potential, keeping us scattered, rather than focused and present. We miss out on opportunities for success and for enjoying simple pleasures in life. In this podcast, I’m asking you to break the rules, have fun, and try doing something a little different from the norm, toning down the intensity of achieving things in order to enjoy life more.

On the podcast today, I’m expanding on the ā€œgetting quietā€ theme from last week and how you can make smarter decisions by being an observer rather than a reactor. By doing this you take conscious and strategic actions (and sometimes you’ll see that you won’t need to take any actions at all) and you will get better results in your daily life that are more sustainable. I like to refer to this as your emotional intelligence!

Being the observer – non-reactive and tapping into your wisdom and intuition – instead of listening to the ā€œstoryā€ going on in your head, is extremely valuable. I know if I react from a fearful or emotional place from the start, I’m not going to make the best decisions and do things I may even regret.

We think that we have to deal with things immediately… to fix the problem right away. But when we just observe and let things be, they’ll either fix themselves or the next step will be made very clear to us. My coach once told me ā€œYou’ll know what the next right move is, when there is an instruction manual that comes with itā€.

Key takeaway: tap into your emotional intelligence (which is often a much more calm and clear space) rather than a reactionary and fearful space. INJOY!

I recently felt like I was running on empty and I decided to take a break, to press pause. Or maybe I should say I listened as life was screaming at me to do so. Oprah says that life whispers important information to us and if we don’t pay attention to the whisper, it gets louder. Well mine got real loud! Honestly, my sense of direction felt scattered and I knew deep down that getting quiet and stepping back from things was the only way I could gain perspective.

Not to say that pressing pause means we don’t do anything at all. What I mean is to be more present in the ā€œlistening spaceā€, to pay attention to what’s going on and what you actually really want.

When we’re always in ā€œactionā€, we often end up being on auto pilot. We don’t have time to make conscious decisions, we’re just going from one thing to the next, functioning automatically.

So getting quiet and pressing pause helped me gain perspective and re-center myself so that I could get back on track with what I knew for sure! And in that space I found my flow again, which for me is moving forward with little effort, good results, feeling happy and fulfilled.

I’d like to encourage you to also take a breather and see if it helps you gain clarity, both in business and in life. I know it’s scary to slow down and it feels so counterintuitive, especially when we feel like we need to make changes or we want results but trust me, you won’t regret it. Because then, when you do take action, it will feel more like it’s coming from a place of ā€œthis is the next right stepā€. And taking action from that place is so much better than when we do something we think we ā€œshouldā€ be doing. INJOY!

Today’s podcast is all about RESULTS.

As human beings, we’re naturally programmed to reach outcomes: to plan and take action. But here’s what I’ve learned about focusing on results…

When we’re waiting on them, they often seem to come a lot slower and we end up feel more frustrated and impatient. We’re not showing up to the responsibilities of our day to day life nor are we seeing what is right in front of us. We’re too focused on the actual outcome, rather than being present with what is, in this moment: the journey, the day to day tasks that will get us to where we want to go. The real magic of life is always in the now and by not being here we can miss out on some pretty amazing opportunities!

Please, don’t sit around and wait for results because life is not about the destination, it’s about the journey your on as you move forward towards your goals. Your goals are just there to give you a sense of direction. And you don’t always end up where you thought you would ;). INJOY!

For many different reasons, entrepreneurs often suffer from anxiety, including myself. And what a hurdle it can be. When anxiety hits, everything looks like an everest in front of us. But what if I told you that anxiety is actually something positive that you can use to your advantage?

In this podcast episode, I’m talking about:

Ā» The difference between anxiety and stress Ā» How you can shift your anxious energy in a positive way Ā» How to understand there is a way to live peacefully Ā» The loneliness that can come from not only being an entrepreneur but also suffering from anxiety Ā» My personal story on how anxiety severely affected my life and what I did about it

I also share with you information on a new community that I just launched called Heal My Anxiety that helps people (entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs alike) who suffer from anxiety learn to deal with this struggle. By sharing our stories, it helps us feel more normal, less stuck and scattered and more connected to others. In this space I will be by your side as you become more empowered to live a peaceful and happy life. INJOY!

Holly Mother Teresa is entrepreneurship ever a journey. Successes, failures, struggles and lots of surprises that you wouldn’t expect. But why are more people not talking about what’s real? We are over saturated right now with success stories and posts going by on Facebook about how this person made so many millions and how that person got published on the Huffington Post. This is fantastic and I’m always the first to send a virtual high five to people succeeding, because I know what it means when you’ve put sweat in tears in for so long. I also think results are important but stories and the truth of it all is even more valuable, especially if we want to really serve others following our path.

Don’t get me wrong, becoming an entrepreneur is the best decision I’ve ever made. But I think we need to stop trying to make everything so shinny to make our marketing strategy stronger. Telling it like it is, is exactly what we’ve done in this podcast. I got two of my good business buddies (and super inspiring entrepreneurs) on a call with me to have a conversation about what it takes to succeed in business, lessons learned and to bring forth some very vulnerable parts of our journeys to share the real deal with you all. This conversation is insightful, funny and very helpful for any entrepreneur walking this path. INJOY!

Being present is probably one of the hardest things to master as human beings. Often times it's because we think that the grass is always greener somewhere else. We believe we'll be happy when we reach a certain goal or be less stressed when a certain person is no longer in our life. And if you are an over achiever like me, being present is hard simply because you can't wait to reach that new goal/chapter or start working on the super inspiring next project you have in mind. That's called the shinny object syndrome!

In this episode I talk about how you can determine if the grass is actually greener somewhere else for you right now or if it can be greener exactly where you are right now simply by watering it. By looking at where you need to focus your energy (Intention, Action or Letting go), you should get a pretty quick sense of what you need to be tending to (new grass or the one you are currently standing on). Struggle can sometimes feel like the story of our life. We seem to be working so hard, giving it our all with very little results. There's a big difference between working hard and struggling though and that is, if you're swimming up or downstream. Working like a maniac every single minute of the day is not a reflection of success and is not what will lead you to success either.

How would you feel about simply taking the right consistent actions on a daily basis while feeling energized and getting results? In this podcast I share my thoughts on how to do just that. INJOY!

Because we are so passionate about what we do as entrepreneurs, we often get caught in the mindset of ā€˜If I build it, my customers will naturally come to me’. Whether that’s your entire business, your website or your Facebook page, this concept just doesn’t work. Being passionate about what we do is the starting point. Building what’s necessary to get our amazing work out into the world is the next step but it doesn’t stop there. Like tending to a garden, there’s a lot of conscious actions that need to be taken in order to see what we’ve built flourish into it’s fullest potential so that it can generate the results we’re hoping for. In this podcast, I share from my experience what I feel are the most important things entrepreneurs need to do so that they can actually reap results from what they put out into the world PLUS I share a special program that we are launching at Injoy Business that can help you reach your goals online. Ps – this special program only has 4-5 spots so make sure to get the link with the info at the end of the episode!

From experience, I've come to understand that there's always something we need to let go of in order to reach a new level of success. That something is usually keeping us very comfortable and away from our full potential. In this podcast I talk about how self-care, fear, what other people think of you, intuition and money can keep us from reaching that next goal in our life or business. I share some one my personal stories to help you reflect on the areas of your life that might need tending to so that you can take that next step forward. INJOY!

Every time I go on vacation, I come back with tons of insights for my life & business. I think it’s crucial to step out of the daily grind and of our habitual patterns in order to tap into the truth of what we really want & need in our lives. This information can become quite blurred when we are running on auto-pilot! Because I’m a big over-achiever, I get more clarity and insights when I leave for at least a week but even small moments to disconnect can help you do this. In this podcast I share what I learned about life while I was in Mexico + how The art of making things happen can be a very gentle yet powerful practice. INJOY!

Do you ever find yourself knowing that you're ready to step things up in your life, taking all the right actions to make that happen and not getting the results you're hoping for? I know that when I feel it's time to move into a new chapter, I go at things full throttle and sometimes tend to overdue it. What I've learned though, is that often the answers are not where we think they are. If we want to make changes in our business, we tend to look at what's happening in our business or if we want to make changes in our life we look at what's happening in our life and from that information we try to make a change. What I talk about today is how making big shifts comes from actually looking somewhere different than the area that is ready for growth. I share how jogging and watching TV gave me huge insights for the changes I wanted to make in my business. INJOY!

There's one thing that can make you stand out from the crowd in terms of making things happen for yourself and that is choosing to show up each day as a student. The knowledge you acquire and integrate is what will give you the power you are looking for. Those who inspire us and reach big goals have learned what they needed to know to move forward. We are so lucky today to have easy access to so much wisdom and information. More than ever, we should use those resources to our advantage. Learning something new requires stepping out of your comfort zone and as Todd Henry says, being mediocre for a while, but we can only master something if we start by trying. We sometimes feel stuck and extremely disempowered on our journey and forget that we have this valuable resource within us, which is the capacity to learn something new in any moment. Remember that the master was once a student!

Great results can be achieved when we can find the balance between taking consistent actions and stepping out of our comfort zone to take leaps. Consistency allows us to build trust and a sense of identity towards the outside world and stepping out of our comfort zone allows us to continually grow and reach new levels of potential. Both are essential to accomplish anything in life. This podcast dives into the magic that can happen when we get uncomfortable, why we tend to stay in our comfort zone and how we can know if it's time to take some leaps. Behind everyone's comfort zone is a fear that comes in many forms, including the one of being mediocre!
