The second podcast on computing in education saw some very different opinions on what issues we face in educating our children for the increasingly digital world. We start off with Mark Chambers, ex-teacher and ex-CEO of NAACE, the Education Technology Association. Then Bill Mitchell (Director at the British Computing Society) comes back to answer some questions on the points made by Mark. A really interesting insight into what is still a very young subject in schools... A lot of room for debate!

This week on 1624 we are joined just after the electricity cap draft bill was published with analysis from Stephen Littlechild, the ex-UK electricity regulator between 1989 and 1998, John Penrose Conservative MP for Weston-super-Mare, Dr Jonathan Marshall, an energy analyst at the ECIU and Dr Rahmat Poudineh the lead senior research fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies. We have instant reaction on the decision to enact a cap, competition, Ofgem, energy efficiency, smart meters and much more!
