Jahmel A.K.A "Talliss" (meaning Tallest for his Tall and Broad statue) Has lived a life of music,Starting from the tender age of seven. Being grown up in a Half Jamaican Half Antiguan Rastafarian Family In London(Hackney). He was very in tune with his Culture and background always absorbing knowledge of spiritual and ancestral heritage. Playing The Guitar and Congo drums was a natural part of His Upbringing, It was when he Started at "Kingsland Secondary School" He took keen and serious approach to a career in music. This is when he began Playing the Bass Guitar and later forming the "RASITES" band in 1996.
His smooth Bass Guitar skills along with His Strong Chanting Voice has made Talliss a very unique individual in the world of reggae. Being one of the Lead vocalist in the Rasites Talliss has developed an irresistible Presence on Stage. He's Years of continuous Perseverance Has been acknowledged Globally, With Two magnificent Albums From The RasItes "URBAN REGENERATION" Recorded when Talliss was only 17 yrs old and "Sex, Violence & Drugs" Both Displaying Great Song Writing and Musical Skills. Also writing,singing and recording combinations with Luciano-LEADERS, Makka B-WHEN YOU GET IT, Dean Frasor-ONE WORLD and a Solo Single with Italian Based Producer Ambassa-"KILL DEM WITH LOVE".
The Live music circuit has embraced Talliss with open arms, where can be seen as A Compare,Musical Director and Bass Guitarist For Numerous Artist across the Music industry Including Some of Reggae's Greats such as- Lee Scratch Perry, Kymani Marley, Black Uhuru, Hollie Cook(M.D), Andrew Tosh, The Abyssinians, Luciano, Mickey General, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Blood Shanti and The Shanti Ites, Dilinger, The Mighty Diamonds, Natty(Rebelship Band member), Little Roy, Turbulance, Chezidek, Prince Malachi, Dean Frasor, Nambo Robinson, Mykal Rose, Warrior King, to name a few.
Talliss took part in a International American Tour, Joining U.K Based artist "NATTY" supporrting "ZIGGY MARLEY" for three weeks along the West Coast of America.
Starting another Musical year In Africa "Ivory Coast" with fellow musical siblings the RasItes. The RasItes then Embarked on a Debut Journey to "Texas U.S.A" and performed at "SXSW" Presenting the music of RasItes Live for the first time in America. Also Joining "Natty", "Hollie Cook" and "Prince Fatty Soundsystem" throughout the Summer Festival season, Delivering Hi Grade Roots Bass lines and Showing excellent Microphone chanting skills Alongside "Horseman"
Now Touring with Reggae Legend - Horace Andy Talliss continues too wow the world with his Musical Vibration.
He continues to work with these artist and many Local artist both on stage and Producing in his own right. With all the wisdom and experience he has gained over the Years, He has now Officially put on His Producers Hat. Producing His Debut Solo Album and Many Other Reggae Artist for His own Label Named "Tall Ites Music"..
Talliss remains an active leading member of the RasItes band, He's Experience in Music Business for 16 years has made him a strong and confident member of the Universal world of music.
