Know where all your music is being sampled from! If it weren't for his samples, Portishead, Hooverphonic and others wouldn't stand. Forget about Shaft, Chef or Scientology. This man, even in his cheesiest monologue, has more balls to not only put his heart out there, but redesign some best known tunes and make them his own. His creative strings and composition make these classics soul staples-A huge effort to mend the 70's soul vibe and classical instrumentation with such merit. Rest In Peace, Isaac Hayes. This is a band that deserves credit as pioneers of the trip hop/Pork Records arena. Their Pork release, "Maim That Tune" was excluded on this mix as it holds its own ground as solid from start to finish. The first track is a remix of a Lamb's "Cotton Wool", but don't let it stop you if you are feeling horizontal, just forward to the next song and marinate on the inspiring, eclectic moods of Fila Brazillia.
