Happy Easter! As we celebrate this Easter Sunday online Jez, our lead pastor, shared the gospel message and looked at two passages for us to study. One in John and the other in Pslam 23

This week was our Family Carols service where we celebrated with our kids during the whole Gathering. If you have a keen ear, you will notice when one of our lovely children gave Jez a present!
Simon kicks off our time of Advent with a message on the importance of advent and what we can learn about how to prepare from the shepherds the angel appeared to in Luke chapter 2.
This week, Kenny delivers a message on the importance of multiplying through church planting. He explains not only why it is important, but why we need to do it here in Birmingham
In this message, Jez challenges us to recognize how blessed we are. And since we are blessed, we are called to be a blessing to others. As we closed the sermon, Jez gave us a few questions to ask ourselves how we can use our blessings to bless others.
This message came on the heels of a celebration of baptism! In it, Jez quickly reviewed why we meet together throughout the week as scattered family units called Gospel Communities.
This week, Dan teaches us the importance of gathering together for celebrating and equipping. How each allows us to focus on Christ and growing as His disciples
This week, Dan delivered a message on the complementary nature of men and women. While we can share many of the same gifts and passions, men and women were not designed to do all the exact same things.
This week Kenny impressed the importance of prayer in our lives. He shared with us that when we pray we need to remember the posture of prayer, the pattern of prayer, and the power of prayer.
This week Kenny told us the Holy Spirit is how we can recharge our spiritual batteries when running on empty. But there are additional benefits to being filled with the Holy Spirit: we can understand Truth, we can obey the teachings of Jesus, we can follow the leading of Jesus, and we are never alone.
Jez wants us to be mindful of what influences shape us and why we need the Word to be the ultimate influence in our life. He reminds us of three reasons we should build our lives in the Word: first it has authority, second it has clarity, and finally it is necessary and sufficient.
This week Dan preaches out of the book of Romans. In this message, he teaches us how we can reorient ourselves around the gospel. When we reorient ourselves around the gospel we increasingly submit all of our lives to the Lordship of Christ with new priorities and affections given to us, through presenting ourselves to God, and through being transformed by the renewal of our minds.
In our ongoing series on the Vision and Values of OIKOS Church, Kenny talks about what it means to be a disciple that glorifies God. As a disciple, we are called to glorify God with our words, our wrath, our work, and our walk.
This week we looked at what it means to be a servant in the Kingdom of God. We learned that as followers of Jesus we are called to have four attitudes: have an attitude of selflessness, an attitude of servanthood, an attitude of sacrifice, and an attitude which Glorifies God.
In this message, Jez shares our biblical mandate to go into the world as missionaries with a sense of urgency to save the lost, whether it's across the world or just outside your front door. He uses the example of Isaiah in chapter 6 to show that we all need an encounter with the Living God, an epiphany of our sinful selves, an establishment in God's Grace, and an answering to God's call.
This week Jez shares what it looks like to be a family of God. As a family that glorifies God, we are united as family, in fellowship, as "the Body," and on mission.

We begin a new sermons series as we begin the new term. Jez begins as we become refreshed on the vision and values of Oikos. In this message, Jez teaches us we need to be a community of God's people. A transfused, transfixed, transformed, translucent, and transitional community who is after God's own heart.
This week Andy Vaughan brings us a message about Psalm 8 and our call to worship within its words. In this Psalm, Andy shows us that we worship God for four reasons: For who He is, for what He has made, because He cares for us, and because HE shares His glory with us.
This week, Kenny shares an encouraging message on how God expresses His love for us. Looking at Psalm 103 we learn that God does this in 4 ways: by showing us mercy, showing us grace, showing us patience, and by forgiving us of our sins.
Simon delivers a message on one of his favourite Psalms. In it, he examines the intimate way in which David writes about how God knows us completely but still wants us to invite Him to search our hearts so that we may grow closer to Him.
