8:28 | Part 4 | Humble Focus = Hopeful Vision.
We are in the fourth installment of our series, called 8:28. As in ROMANS 8:28. God is working ALL THINGS TOGETHER, FOR HIS GOOD, which is our Good, our best life and for HIS GLORY! AMEN.
I want to convince you that Humbleness is giving preference to God and He will give you the best future for your life!
TODAY: I want to start a brand-new series, titled, Unscripted. “Trusting God in The Unknown.” So why this series? Because life has unexpected turns and is unpredictable, and those changes happen quickly. And another reason is… “You can't live the rest of your life, trying to control everything that happens to you.”
So instead of trying to hold our breath, jump into survival mode and get to the next rest stop and try and make sense of it all. God wants to show you something very important!
Love & Relationships! I thought it would be great to talk about something all of us have to be around, Relationships- spouse, coworkers, an employer, family, friends, etc. • Ephesians 5:1-2 PJSV Walk in love, follow the example of Christ!
“Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future.”
James 1:5 ESV “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
Proverbs 3:13 ESV “Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding,”
Now you’re all wondering what I mean by confidence… we’re not in the 3rd grade anymore, but I find as a pastor that a lot of people lack it, and never truly live the life God created for them to live. Let me give you the definition and I think you’ll understand where I’m going. #kokemillchurch
Today I want to talk about regrets. I think all of us have regrets about something we have done or neglected to do in our lives. Sometimes it’s very hard to shake looking back to what our life could have been if we had made a different choice. "The problem with regret is that it robs you of the joy of today, and the way you live today impacts your tomorrow."
Luke 9:62 (NCV) Jesus said, “Anyone who begins to plow a field but keeps looking back is of no use in the kingdom of God.“
Need some change in your life? LISTEN TO THIS::: "Make sure you carry out The Revelation that Moses commanded you, every bit of it. Don’t get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you’re going. And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of your mind." Joshua 1:8 Message
How do we create change, get better habits and have success? God says to treat the Bible like your cell phone - don’t let it out of your sight!
What Does The Bible Say About: • Your Habits • Your Mental Spiritual Health • Renewing Your Mind
Mark 12:30 NIV Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
Joshua 1:8 NKJV Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to observe all that is written in it. Then you will be prosperous and have good success.

Eph 6:10-15 Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think… * Get your thinking right- Get your mind right - Helmet of salvation.
So many of us have confused activity with productivity... YOU run relentlessly, no breaks, no stops, no rest, and you are left, exhausted! Matthew 11:28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Romans 12:2 New Living Translation Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think… #HelmetOfSalvation
1 Thessalonians 5:6 Let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake…

Today we are continuing our series “Made for More” using the 4th chapter of Ephesians as our foundation. Paul wrote four prison letters while he was under his first arrest at Rome. They were Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon. The thing that amazes me when I read these scriptures is the incredible download of information that Paul is given by the Lord.
Good morning glad to have you with us today as we look again at the key ingredients found in the miracles of the Bible. One element found in every miracle we examined was FAITH.
Our Bible tells us that FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD… What’s James saying, Faith in Christ always results in ACTIONS that demonstrate faith.

REMINDER::: We Have A Choice! How we think directly affects how we live. Matthew 19:26 2 Cor 5:17 2 Timothy 1:7
On the Journey of Life, we need EACH OTHER! There’s an old Zambian proverb that says, “When you run alone, you run fast. But when you run together, you run far.” Life is not a 50-yard dash; it’s a marathon! The only way you’re going to finish the race well and not burn out is by having other people involved in your life through meaningful relationships. Like.Subscribe.Share. #DailyRESETKMCC
LISTEN UP:: You're Not Alone.. its never you without God. Its always you plus God, Its always people around you plus God… for you to walk into his plan you are going to need Jesus and friends.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (GNTD) Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.
Philippians 4:6-7 (GNTD) Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.
Psalm 32:8 (GNTD) The Lord says, “I will teach you the way you should go; I will instruct you and advise you.
Joshua 1:9 (GNTD) Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go.”
Psalm 37:23-24 (GNTD) The Lord guides us in the way we should go and protects those who please him. If they fall, they will not stay down, because the Lord will help them up.
Everything about our faith is built on scripture, but so many of our lives aren’t.
• Everything you do for God is tied to your Faith!
Hebrews 11:6 (MSG) It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.

• For the past seven weeks we have been talking about how our thought life flows into our hearts to develop a strong faith. • I want to continue that same theme today. • What could be more important in this Christmas season than learning to think and live for Christ?
Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV) For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…
• You become what you think…
Real Faith begins in the heart!
• Your emotions are an outward display of your inner thought life.
Disconnect from distractions TODAY. If you don't take time away from the world around you, you're going to get pulled down by the world around you! Psalm 46:10 Pslam62:5 1 John 2:15-17 One of the definitions of rest is to be free from anxiety or disturbance. In this time in our lives, we can easily find things that would disturb our rest as well as cause anxiety. Godspeed. PJ
What does it mean to rest?! There are our kids’ activities, work projects, church events, birthday parties and drum roll please, CHRISTMAS 2019! Matthew 11:28-30 “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”
For the past six weeks we have been talking about our thought life and how important it is to renew our minds to think correctly. Sometimes this can be a challenge…
Proverbs 12:5 (NKJV) The thoughts of the righteous are right…
• Right thinking leads to right living.
You can allow your mind to be filled with doubt, discouragement, fear and bitterness or let it be filled with faith, optimism and hope!
A Psalm of Praise- No book of the Bible is so full of the themes of Worship, Praise, and Thanksgiving as is the book of Psalms. We will look today at Psalm 100 which has been entitled “The Psalm for giving thanks”. Psalm 100:1-5 (NIV) 1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
LISTEN UP::: We have a ton of thoughts every day. In fact, many experts believe we think somewhere between 60,000 and 80,000 thoughts per day! Philippians 4:8 So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always.

Here’s that Midweek Encouragement for you! ➡️ You were made to make a difference! Ephesians 2:4-8 But God is rich in mercy, and he loved us very much. 5 We were spiritually dead because of all we had done against him. But he gave us new life together with Christ. (You have been saved by God’s grace.) 6 Yes, it is because we are a part of Christ Jesus that God raised us from death and seated us together with him in the heavenly places. 7 God did this so that his kindness to us who belong to Christ Jesus would clearly show for all time to come the amazing richness of his grace. I mean that you have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God.
God is not letting you down.. He's letting YOU learn! Godspeed. PJ

Last week I talked about the three ingredients that are found in a receptive heart – faith, hope & love. Today I want us to look at the connection between the mind and the heart…
Learning to listen to the "right" voice and turning the others off can be a real challenge. Each one of us is wired to hear the "inward" voice, good or bad. Don't listen to the loudest voice; find the truest one! Godspeed. PJ
GM and welcome. If you are new or watching us online we are on the second week of our series entitled, “Head to the Heart”. If you missed any of the earlier messages you can catch them on YouTube or the KMCC podcast.
Hebrews 10:22-24 (NIV) 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith... 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess... 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
The Three ingredients needed to have a “sincere heart” are Faith, Hope & Love.
What are you concerned about today? I'm sure a lot, but, there's more to be hopeful for! Like, Subscribe, Share Today! Godspeed. PJ
Hebrews 6:19 (TPT) We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself.
Romans 5:5 (TPT) And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!
Hebrews 11:1 (TPT) Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.
Romans 15:13 (TPT) Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!
Good morning and welcome. If you are new or watching us online we are beginning a new series today entitled, “Head to the Heart”. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go.
Colossians 2:6-7 (NLT) 6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
LISTEN. TO. THIS. Think of someone close to you who's been going through a difficult time and pass it on! 2 Cor 4:16-18
Trying to live this new life in your own strength will lead to frustration; but allowing the Holy Spirit to help, guide and empower you - will lead to true peace and purpose. Sometimes we try to live our lives without the helper,(the Holy Spirit) and we find life much more exhausting than it has to be. Enjoy the message
LISTEN UP::; faith. can. be. confusing! How do you do faith? How do you live out a belief in someone you can’t physically see/touch? I wanted to leave you with four additional "next steps" for walking out this faith journey in Christ.
Just because you know and have experienced grace does not mean you fully understand it. During our Rooted series, our goal is to grow a faith that is firmly planted, grounded deep and anchored (Col. 2:6-7). This week we are looking at joy and the excessive grace God gives us!
GM! We’re beginning a new series entitled “Rooted”. To be rooted is to be firmly planted, grounded deep and anchored. The question we all must ask is what am I rooted in? Am I rooted in worry or fear? Am I rooted in distractions & instability? What if you were rooted in a solid faith that isn’t moved my changing circumstances? A casual belief system isn’t going to produce a rooted foundation that is strong and secure.
The goal for this series is for you to become firmly rooted in grace, freedom, joy and an overall closer walk with God.
One of our goals in the “Level Up” series was to look at some of the greatest prayers in the Bible. In this sermon, we are learning to "Put It Into Practice". 1. When Facing Difficult Choices (Pray For Wisdom) 2. Pray For Your Enemies 3. Pray For Peace 4. Pray For Strength
LISTEN UP::: Faith is not only an attitude; it’s also an action step! It’s something that shows itself in the steps you take and the decisions you make every day. Keep it simple. Stir the gravy, the gift and the talent/ability! Godspeed.
For the last five weeks I have been taking to you about prayer. Prayer is one of the marks of a Christian. To be a Christian is to be one who prays! 1. Does Prayer Change God? 2. Does Prayer Change Circumstances? 3. Does Prayer Change Others? 4. Does Prayer Change Me?
Time. For. Change. Take a risk. 2/3 of God’s name is GO.. Start with stepping out of your comfort zone doing a ridiculous thing or two. You may feel scared or embarrassed. But if you don’t step out in faith, God can’t move! What is one risk you need to take? Write it down, consider the cost, then take that risk!!!!
One of our goals in the “Level Up” series was to look at some of the greatest prayers in the Bible. In Part 5 of Level UP we are looking at a short prayer found in 1 Chronicles the 4th chapter and a man named Jabez. #kokemillchurch
Everyone experiences God’s Provision. Some recognize it – Some Don’t. It comes from surprise sources…. It comes in surprise forms…. It certainly comes at surprise times. Today we learn how God provides when He provides, through whom He provides, and what He expects of us when He blesses us!
There are so many people in this world looking for success, but the common denominator with all successful people is that they FAILED! It’s amazing what can happen in your life when you believe God’s word, and stop being scared. Don’t waste another day.. fail forward and watch God move!
Joshua 1:9 says Remember that I have told you to do this. So be strong and do not be afraid. Do not be weak but be brave. I, the Lord your God, will be with you, everywhere that you go!
Psalm 34: 4 God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears.
Sometimes we get all in our "FEELS" try not to take your life too seriously. No one else does. Learn to laugh at yourself often. Get around people who challenge you to be more, want more & become more. Get around peeps that bring out the BEST in you and not the LESS in you! (mic drop)
The struggle is real sometimes.. Things.Get.Wonky. It's super easy to just throw in the towel, daily. You have to remember to keep things simple. Encouragement, Devotions & a great group of ppl around you. Not to mention a fantastic, motivational podcast that rivals AM radio- wait, what?! lol. Enjoy.
Stop doing the same things every day- MOVE! Stir up your faith and begin to move into God's plan.
The title says it all.. we get very Distracted and that's ok- prob is, If we don't... well, just listen to the podcast! (shameless teaser) Enjoy! - PJ
With elevation comes separation... God uses the RIGHT people in your life to take you to the next level. Remember, HOLD ON... God knows what He's doing!
First Episode- LISTEN. CHANGE. GROW. Never have been much a public speaker/keynote preacher or hot take giver on the latest greatest stuff. I've always wanted to do something that encouraged people without the limelight or time constraints of a Sunday sermon. Simply put:: I need something around 2 - 3 minutes that will encourage my life and take all the emotion out of the problems and put my focus on Christ. Voila, the "Daily RESET" was born. A simple word of inspiration that puts life back in order. Hope YOU Enjoy - PJ
In this series we will be understanding exactly who Jesus Christ is - the awesome ruler of the universe who became man to reconcile us to God . He is the heart of the gospel, and the only basis for genuine Christian growth and confidence. #KOKEMILLCHURCH
In this series we will see that some of our greatest blessing occur when we trust God in unexpected ways. By stepping out of our "comfort zone" we find ourselves more open to God’s leading and provision.
