Socialism is profoundly immoral - here’s why

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Americans are increasingly leaning toward socialism as an acceptable worldview. But it’s not. Socialism violates two of God’s ten commandments. First, it’s predicated on the greedy hunger of some people in America for the money of other people in America. This is flagrantly contrary to the 10th Commandment, which flatly states, Thou shalt not covet. Greed for other peoples’ and envy of their success is not a virtue, it is a vice. And socialism involves the involuntary transfer of wealth from some Americans to other Americans. It takes money from one person’s pocket only to stuff somebody else’s pocket with it. When this happens in an alley, we call it theft. Just because the government does it under color of law does not make it right. It’s just a form of legalized plunder. The Bible teaches that the transfer of wealth is to be done voluntarily out of compassion, not under compulsion.
