In this episode, we explore a question I was asked a year ago. For people who did not grow up in homes filled with love, how can you ensure that the trauma you experienced is not spilling out to other aspects of your adult life?
We consider key points to note on the journey of healing from trauma and choosing a better you.
There is always a how with God.It is not enough that we worship Him, but how do we worship Him?It is not enough that we serve Him, but how to we serve Him?We can do the most sincere things but in a wrong way. Remember the sons of Aaron who died because they sacrificed 'strange fires' to God. They sacrificed, but not in the way God desired. How we do things matters to God, and in this episode, we explore the how to wait on God.
We are getting to the middle of the year so quickly. The gnawing feeling in your heart and the loud voice in your head might start to creep up, asking you 'what have we even accomplished?' The tendency that you'll start to feel low is high, so here is an episode to arm you in advance of those days and seasons when life might feel larger than you.
We are more than our achievements and accomplishments. We are more than what we do.
Day 2 focuses on navigating never ending disputes in a relationship and offers a superior ideology outside the 50/50 phenomenon.
This episode speaks to every relationship committed to getting to their full healthy potential in spite of the differences that may exist between the parties involved.
Can't wait for Day 3, where we talk 'Loving the wrong person'.
Stay tuned!!!
Day 1 of the #FochLoveSeries.
We are talking on things we must consider when we subscribe to 'right person, wrong time' ideology.
Is it valid? is it not? You tell us.
Let us know your thoughts on the episode. See you @ Day 2 tomorrow where we look at 'Never ending disputes, the 50/50 phenomenon'.
Gone are the days where friendships were characterized of sleepovers, all day conversations and shoulder-hitting laughter.
It has not been eliminated, but it definitely is more controlled with the responsibilities that have come with adulthood.
We do not have to kiss those good days of friendship goodbye, we only need to learn to navigate handling it in spite of the demands of adulthood.
We discuss 5 points on hacking friendships in such a way that it stays full of value and quality.
We are keeping it simple and straight to the point in 2024. If you are wanting to know just one thing to run with this year, it is in this podcast.
Happy New Year from all of us at Foch Woman. We are convinced of such great things for 2024 and beyond.
Stick with us, 2024 promises content that sticks, uplifts, guides and yields fruits.
Video Episode - I hope this episode brings understanding to your heart that begins to always spur unity among discussions in the faith, rather than appear contradictory.
God of my current season is not all there is to God and I must acknowledge that when I speak to other people in other seasons with God.
The beauty of this body of Christ is the uniqueness with which God walks with all of us.
May God help us seek unity always.
For a God who honours His word above His name, must be tough to hear your children think or ask this question because of the events of this fallen world that we live in.
But it remains a frequent question in the heart of most believers who are yet to see a manifestation of the things promised. So, does God really go back on His word?
In this episode, we answer this question simply and clearly in 5 points. Hopefully, at the end of this episode, your question changes to highlight more the responsibility on us, than on God alone.
We are living through very sensitive times, every topic is tagged 'touchy' or 'sensitive' and so we completely refrain from talking about heart matters, especially when they are sinful.
This sensitivity has brought compromise on the standards of God, even among believers. This episode details 5 points on dealing with the sensitivity of this generation to ensure we are upholding the standard of God and staying accountable.
In this episode, we discuss 5 points on training ourselves to expect miracles. We must grow from a place where we sound and live like people who believe more in God's reluctance than in His willingness to show up for us.
This episode will help us evaluate how much our minds and hearts have been trained to stay on God in spite of the circumstances around us.
N.B. Sincere apologies for the poor audio at one point, the microphone will be changed before the next episode.
Often hard to tell when we have elevated someone to saviour status in our heads and heart, this episode will give you guides to know if you have. In this episode, we discuss ways to identify if you may have created a saviour complex around your partner and how to deal with it.
It is a video podcast and you are able to watch the live recording @Foch_woman Instagram page.
After a breakup, how do we know if we are ready to progress to a new relationship?
This episode explores 5 points on discerning how ready we might be to move on. The timeframe cannot be the same for everyone but is dependent on factors that are discussed in this episode.
I'm sure we might be able to recall a situation or two where we thought we were helping 2 people in a relationship by our counsel, and ended up in the burnt position. I want to say such is life, but I honestly believe there is a way to navigate such situations.
In this episode, we discuss 5 points on effectively advising people in relationships. These points should be at the forefront of your mind when next you feel a deep urge to be a saviour in someones deteriorating relationship.
Our profession and career are a big part of our human existence. For the believer, even more so because God has made us kings over this realm and expects that while we are here, we are curating it to be like His kingdom above. The first and most important call is to be a witness of the gospel, and added to that, to utilise all that God has placed within us for the building of people and to the glory of God.
We see in the story of the talents how the master returns and asks each servant to account for what they had been given before his departure. The same will apply to us when Jesus returns, we will stand before Him and give an account for all the investments He made in us; the gifts, skills, interests, etc, and it is my prayer that we will not be ashamed and also be called good and faithful servants.
This episode gives us five points to consider in navigating the decision as to what you might want to build your career in.
I love that we have a day each year to celebrate our gender and all it represents. I also am fond of the themes that come with each year by the national organisation. This year, it happens to be #EmbraceEquity and so, you can rest assured that tomorrow we will be hearing and reading all about the bias and unfair treatment of the female gender in society.
While I perfectly understand the standpoint it often comes from, I am careful that we don't always get carried away looking at the other person and not at ourselves, and so for us at Foch woman and in this episode, we're embracing equity by being more fair and impartial to ourselves by how we handle our daily struggles as women.
This episode discusses the 3 main struggles of the 21st-century woman and how to navigate these struggles.
Have you been, or currently going through a phase of total darkness and silence, where nothing seems to be happening in or around you? There is a temptation to allow such moments to impact our mental health and relationships, but we must be intentional about navigating these seasons in a healthy way that leaves no casualties.
This episode discusses 5 steps in navigating the daily ordinary while waiting for the once-in-a-while extraordinary.
Have you found yourself questioning yourself because of the people that seem to constantly come around you? This episode guides us to answer pertinent questions that might give us clarity as to why certain people are approaching us and why certain people are not approaching us.
Also, it brings light for us to know that the people attracted to us may not be a function of what we have done or not done; sometimes, people kick balls and just wait to see which enters. Just like Pharoah tried to kill all young boys under two in search of Moses, and Herod tried to kill all young boys in search of Jesus.
While we have some monopoly over who approaches us, we do not have a total monopoly, and we should take advantage of the times when we don't have the monopoly.
Everyone wants to feel some fondness and tenderness in their relationship and marriage. No one wants to be left guessing if their partner loves them because they show no affection.
While it is important to communicate our affection to our partners, we must know that it comes easier to some people as compared to others, so in this episode, we discuss navigating how to deal with a partner who is not as affectionate.
In the end, we will see that while some partners appear more affectionate, others on the other end express themselves in other ways that should not be ignored.
This episode is for people navigating their way through convincing their parents or guardians of their partner. What is the godly way to show your convictions without dishonouring your parents?
We discuss 5 points to be noted through navigating this situation in this episode. In the end, while it remains your decision to make, your parents must be honoured and respected in that process because the bible recognises them as the stewards over you before any union in marriage.
No to eloping and dishonouring parents in this kingdom.
In this episode, we talk about steps to take if you are in a relationship where the other party is averse to talking about marriage. Might be excusable the first year (even though the start of a relationship must have an agreed destination, even if something happens along the line), but becomes a point of concern if by the second, third+ years there is still no word or hint of walking into marriage.
I do not believe that we were made to court for long or just 'see how things go', asides the tendency to become complacent over time, there is high tendencies that you might fall into temptation and that can be avoided if we just allow the Holy Spirit lead us per time; including when to enter a relationship and even when to marry.
While it is up to a couple to decide when to marry, it is important that it is a mutual agreement at every point in time, rather than one person hanging and wondering when the other party might be ready.
In this episode, we converse about the relationship that should exist between members of the body of Christ. The response and heart that we must all have towards each other, especially when either of us is found to have erred.
This episode challenges us to see the picture of a whole body; a head fitted on the body and see that each time we reverence the head and are irreverent towards any member of the body, we cause the head heartache because the head delights in seeing His body behave and react just like Him to each other and to those outside of that body.
It can be such an unconscious thing to pick up so much from around us and not pay attention to what is within us. It has become even harder in this media-saturated world where people spend more time seeing things and people they wish they have or are.
This has created a pandemic of desiring to be and do because we have seen others be and do, and not because Gods spirit in us is urging us in same direction. In this weeks episode we discuss 5 points to consider to be your authentic self always and how this enables the Holy Spirit in us find expression in the unique way He desires.
After my long hiatus from the podcast, we are back talking on some points that everyone must navigate through in entering into new phases, particularly matrimony.
I share a new life update as well, which may or may not be what you think it is from the topic. Either way, brace yourself for some deep, honest introspection through this episode
Today’s world is saturated with sexual content, everywhere you turn, there’s a semblance of sex staring at you. While we must guard our hearts, we must also equip ourselves with knowledge for dealing with sexual urges because they are a natural part of us as humans. While we must not indulge ourselves when they come, we must also not pamper them but do what 2 Corinthians 10:5 says “take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ”.
In this weeks episode, we discuss points that could help you predict if your current relationship will work and lead to marriage.
While there is no certainty and heavy risks involved in love, we must agree that the Holy Spirit leads us in the will of God for our lives and does not author confusion. We discuss the pointers we must look out for to be certain of His leading for our lives.
We're saying no to vibes and 'inshallah' in our walk to marriage.
In the spirit of all the love being thrown around this weekend, I thought it lovely to share about 'our marriage rehearsal'. How marriage is only a mirror of our relationship with God.
God is doing something with marriages on the earth, this episode opens your eyes to see what He is doing, how He is doing it and how you can plug yourself into it.
A gentle reminder that Abba's love remains sufficient and full, plug in and get drunk in love!
In this first episode of the year, we discuss 5 points to hack consistency in 2022. The paramount aspect of our life that must fuel every other aspect of us.
Practical points that we can add to our everyday life was shared to aid our keeping energy levels high all through the year.
In this episode we talk about the dynamics of a private courtship and some of the benefits it poses to couples who adopt it. A caveat though: a relationship is not guaranteed to work because you kept it private or you made it public. More important values must guide a relationship to keep it healthy, but in the long run, questions such as this topic matter.
Every now and again I ask people what has kept them in the relationships they are in for that long, I get funny answers or none at all.
It is important we have convictions about our lives and living, particularly relationships. In this episode we discuss how important convictions are in eros relationships and also how to build conviction.
A lot of relationships have ended in hurt because there was no conviction from the start. Conviction can be likened to a truth or foundation, without a foundation, no structure stands.
Today we are spotlighting another unpopular person in the bible called Jehoiada. He was a priest during the reign of Joash and played such a key role that should really be talked more today. He teaches us treasurable lessons through His life and brings us to evaluate the things that truly matter as we journey through life. May we be and have Jehoida's in our lifetime.
This episode is just a word of encouragement for everyone living this life.
I hope this episode just brings you to slow down and breathe.
NEW SERIES - THROUGH THEIR EYES
In this series, we hear the thoughts of different age groups on the same questions that vary across different parts of life. Our second guest is a 9-year old telling us her thoughts on friendship, life, fears and God.
Hopefully this series helps us revisit our younger years or think about our tomorrow years and start to make the best decisions now.
Enjoy!
NEW SERIES - THROUGH THEIR EYES
In this series, we hear the thoughts of different age groups on the same questions that vary across different parts of life. Our first guest is a teenager telling us her thoughts on friendship, life, fears and God.
Hopefully this series helps us revisit our younger years or think about our tomorrow years and start to make the best decisions now.
Enjoy!
We start a new series on Fochwoman podcast this week called 'Bible spotlight', where we will pick characters from the bible not often spoken about, maybe because they did not defeat opposition armies, or kill lions, but are still just as important.
This week, our spotlight is Jochebed, who played a role more important than we can say in the deliverance of the Israelites from the Egyptians. We discuss 5 lessons we can learn from her as we grow in The Kingdom.
Relationships will continue to be hard for us to navigate if we don't get the fundamentals and foundation right. A romantic relationship involves more than just two people who seem interested in each other. There are several underlying things that make a person who they are and those things need to be understood to have a flourishing relationship with the person.
In this episode, we discuss 10 points, with both reason and solution on why people get hurt. Hopefully it opens you to knowledge on how you can do better to have more flourishing relationships.
Hearing Gods voice should not be rocket science to us who believe. God says that "My sheep hear my voice; I know them and they follow me". This verse tells us already that as sheep, we are wired to hear the voice of our shepherd.
Oftentimes, the struggle with hearing Gods voice is not that He is not speaking, but what is the issue then?
In this episode, we discuss 5 points on how to hear Gods voice so that we are running this race with His guidance and not without direction.
I think we can all agree that dressing ranks high on the list as one of the most talked about issues in christendom today. While we agree that substance and content is what matters, container also requires a great deal of attention and this container must be different from that of the world. Enough of us excusing indecency and lack of modesty, but choosing rather to now submit to the Holy Spirit even in the choice of clothing and dressing. We have a responsibility over our brothers and sisters in the faith and if we take that responsibility seriously, it will be reflected even in how we appear outside of our homes. Dressing does impact our faith and that of others and in this episode we discuss how and why.
Break ups are a reality for us on this side of life, how we handle them and deal with them is important and largely impacts us and the other person involved. In this episode we discuss how to heal and move from a breakup for both the one who has been broken up with and the person who initiates the breakup. Most times, neither of the parties involved are bad, it will always be better to end a faulty relationship than manage it into a marriage where everything is magnified. To God, be true.
There is no randomisation or accident to our existence, it is evident from the God we read about in the bible that He does not create without purpose. Now, it is one thing to know that He creates with purpose and another to know if we are living and walking in accordance to that purpose we have been created for. This episode helps us think through where we are in walking in line with God's purpose for our lives, It asks us the necessary questions to evaluate our walk with God. In the end, only a few things will matter, it matters that we expound our energy on those things now and not waste it on things that will fade away.
Standards are something we all live by whether or not we realise it, the real question really is WHAT standards do we live by. In the context of relationships, we might be accused of having standards that are too high or settling without standards at all, it might get a bit confusing, so this episode discusses standards as a believer in a relationship and gives pointers to ensure that these standards are Spirit-driven and not merely physical preferences that will not matter in the grand scheme of things. The bible is a standard book if we never knew it and it presents us with the One true standard that we must live by in every area of our lives, Jesus.
It is easy to get carried away in the number of humans as just one existing on earth, it is easy to get caught thinking that you're smaller or inconsequential in the grand scheme of things and so this makes us see ourselves as lower or less powerful than God has actually made us. In this episode we discuss three points that remind us of why we matter on this earth to adjust our mindsets to see God's intention towards us here and now.
Is it godly for christians to break up? Seemed like an easy question to answer till I opened my keypad to type and then I realised the question itself was funny. While I strongly believe and advocate the accuracy of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, I do not demonise breakups even among believers because I believe that things happen, people change, and when these things and changes stop serving Gods purpose, it is highly advisable that you go your separate ways because in the end, our relationships and marriages must be God glorifying, but this will be impossible if the individuals involved are not God glorifying. In this episode we discuss the godly way to let go and move on in 5 points, whether in romantic relationships or friendships that end for whatever reason. Through the whole process, we must be loving and forgiving of ourselves as well as the person involved.
Our hearts posture and mindset are important in the seasons of waiting.
In this episode we explore 5 things we must be conscious of as we wait on God.
What is your attitude saying in this season of waiting?
Exciting weekend seeing different expressions of love. Probably my favourite characteristic of love; that it can be expressed in a vary of ways.
It is not enough to see expressions of love and just desire it when you have deeply rooted fears that make you think and expect the worse when you find yourself or other people deeply in love.
In this episode, we explore 5 things to keep in mind through the journey of romantic love. Beginning and conclusion on this matter is same; 'perfect love casts out fear'.
The cold friends that is guilt and shame are the easiest foul spirits waiting to bounce on anyone who leaves just a crack in the door.
They don't wait to be invited and need no introduction, all they need is a person to move from believing what God says about them to looking at their inabilities and faults.
In this episode we discuss 5 important things that we must be aware of in remaining rooted in the victory we have against guilt and shame. Don't allow the devil deceive you into isolation.
Be shameless about the victory you have in Christ.
Ask any bride her thoughts and feelings before her big day (wedding). Chances are that you will hear words like 'excited', 'expectant', 'thrilled' and 'happy'.
Any bride is always excited to receive her bridegroom. Is the church a normal bride? are we excited and expectant of our bridegroom? or have we found counterfeit substitutes that only satisfy temporarily?
This week we explore 5 things to stay aware of as we remind ourselves of Abba's return. It isn't far again. We're now listening for the trumpet, we've moved passed counting the signs.
A lot of people have a vary of opinions on the institution that is church. Some people have grown with the idea of going to church every Sunday while others have often questioned the point and impact of meeting in a building to worship and fellowship together with people that might even constitute strangers.
This episode is not attempting to give us reasons to go to church, it is just giving us an understanding of what church is and why the bible encourages us not to neglect the 'gathering of the brethren'.
In the end, every man must be a liar and God must be true, so let's dive into what God says about the church community.
In the words of one of my favourite teachers, 'find your tribe and love 'em hard'!
It is that time of the year again, for a lot of us who grew up going to church and beginning each year with a fast. Haha
I have learnt that it should never become a ritual or something we do 'just because', we must connect, engage and actually get what God has for us from this spiritual discipline. If you're one who limits your fast to just the beginning of the year, I hope this episode challenges you.
We discuss 5 things we must know about fasting and how to have the best fast experience.
The material referenced in the first point in the episode is 'Fasting 101' by Myles Munroe, feel free to check it out on YouTube.
Anything that will last requires a conscious attempt at maintaining it, including our human relationships. In this episode we explore 5 practical ways to maintain our relationships, including romantic, parental, friendships and mentorship relationships.
We invest in anything we want to keep for long. Invest in the people you say you love by actively maintaining those relationships.
In this episode is all you need to know to start your year!
We discuss 5 points from Apostle Selman's message 'The price for uncommon impact'. Very condensed version in this episode but just as powerful.
I wish you peace, joy, clarity and plenty love in this new year. Welcome to 2021!
It is the last episode of 2020! Yayy!
I hope this episode blesses you and inspires you to do and be more in 2021! God has already gone ahead of us and made all paths straight and He will see us through.
A massive shout out, with a truckload of hugs to the 3k+ people listening to Foch woman podcast. I do not take it for granted and I am excited to see all that 2021 brings!
From Foch woman podcast, Happy New Year!
A lot of people have this idea that Godly courtships are a complete walk in the park. While the holy Spirit does enable us to overcome challenges, He does not eliminate our human nature and so it is important that we discuss practical ways to attend to these issues and overcome them.
In this episode we discuss 5 things that aren't popular about Godly courtships and also give a cheeky explanation for why the church insists on calling courtship 'courting' and not 'dating'.
We talk about relationships often in other contexts and hardly highlight parental relationships which are just as important.
Whether biological or not, we probably all have that person or people that sit over us as parents and it is important we learn to navigate relating with them the right way. In this episode we discuss parental relationships with a guest and we talk on 6 points to navigating them efficiently.
As we round up the year 2020, there are a few things I want Foch woman podcast listeners to know, so happy listening xx
Cheers to finishing this year strong!!!
There are so many misconceptions about heaven and our eternal dwelling even beyond this earth, there is also very little said about it these days, seeing as it seems to have taken so long for Jesus to 'finally return and take us home'. A lot of people have gotten distracted with the numerous cares of this world, some even seeming morally good to us and we are living out the description of 2 Timothy 3:2-7 without even realising it.
We discuss some of the misconceptions of heaven in this episode through the lens of the word of God and also remind ourselves of just how temporal and fleeting this world is, in the face of eternity.
Let's be challenged to do more, we have moved past counting the signs, we are now listening for the trumpet.
Why should I share my faith with others? why can't people believe what they want to believe?
We answer these questions and more in this episode. Evangelism might appear quite complex to most people but this episode helps simplify it and gives us 5 ways we can daily evangelise.
We do not always have to schedule it, it is something we should get comfortable doing as often as possible.
So many options and choices in our heads when we arrive at crossroads. How do we identify which one of the voices is the voice of God?
In this episode, we discuss practical ways to identify God's voice in our hearts when we are faced with decisions and options.
Any believer will immediately tell you that if you want to grow in Christ, you must live a life of prayer. We realise how important prayer is in our journey in Christ but most of us still struggle with having a consistent prayer life.
In this episode, we discuss 5 of these struggles and how to overcome them because we realise that prayer is a tool that God has given us to conquer this world for Him.
Our prayers don't make God God, but it makes us more like Him.
In this episode, we talk about 10 myths that people have about Godly relationships. I am not sure how they came to be but most of these myths hinder people from believing and expecting the best from God in the choice of a partner.
This episode will bring you face-to-face with some of the misconstrued views you have about Godly relationships and hopefully help you challenge and change them so you don't find yourself judging good as evil because of unconscious biases.
Everyday we encounter people who appeal to us, not in a bad or sexual way, just in an admiration way, it could be the way they talk, their outlook to life or even their appearance.
This is alright and pure in itself, however we must be careful to keep ourselves in check before we begin to develop feelings for people in a manner that is completely inappropriate.
In this episode, we discuss 6 ways of fighting unwanted feelings which are not just limited to love for an unavailable person, but feelings like jealousy and hatred too.
Our feelings were given to us for a purpose, but its purpose does not include taking the place of the Holy Spirit to lead us. So we must stop to question feelings when they arise and ensure they are not just emotional but also influenced by the Holy Spirit.
Ever wondered why people feel so uncomfortable when they are naked? ever wondered why criminals get stripped of their clothes when caught in sin? Ever wondered why nudity became a symbol of shame?
In this episode we discuss the power of nakedness and also the initial intent of God to have man naked, open, bare and unveiled before Him.
Nudity has a power and I pray that we learn the Spiritual symbolism of nudity and apply it daily in our walk with God.
We live in a fallen world, as such, daily we will encounter the fallen nature of man whether intentionally or not. People will hurt us, disappoint us and even cause us pain. It hurts more when it is coming from those also in the household of faith because we might find ourselves wondering how the Holy Spirit allowed the person to act in the manner that they did. This episode gives us superior knowledge in handling offence generally, but particularly within the body of Christ because issues will always arise. The bible tells us that men will know that we are God's disciples by the love we have for each other. We must be true representatives of this love by choosing grace and mercy always.
I have some prayer points in my prayer book that have sat there for years, i've wondered and pondered why these requests are yet to be granted, and I got some answers. I know I am not alone, why haven't those answers come yet? Am I doing something wrong? Is God ignoring me? Is there a line or tally system? Do I have to pray for more hours? This episode explores all of this and equips us with knowledge to pray in accordance to God's will to see answers to prayers. God delights in answering the prayers of His children because in prayer we partner with Him to fulfil His will on the earth.
Is it sufficient that we choose to to be with someone because he/she is a christian? I have shared a story in this episode that might help us see this question clearer. Unfortunately we don't live in the ideal world where everyone who names the name of the Lord agrees to the same biblical doctrines. There are still denominations that oppose certain doctrines in the bible and promote certain doctrines not found in the bible, all with their own reasons. This is why the bible teaches us and shows us how important it is that we be with people who have the same foundational doctrines as found in the bible. No one wants to compromise on something as serious as faith in marriage so it is important that from now we drop all emotional sentiments and honestly evaluate for ourselves the 'potential partners' who share same biblical doctrines as us and those who don't.
We cannot live an efficient christian life without walking with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit makes all the difference in the christian journey. It is one thing to know about Him and another thing to know His nature and walk with Him intimately. The Holy Spirit seeks to walk with us individually on a personal level and not always collectively. There is no better time to walk intimately with the Holy Spirit than now, our spirit seeks substance deeper than what this world has to offer us and it is only in the Holy Spirit that this void is filled. We talk about top tips to growing in intimacy with the Holy Spirit in this episode and also His nature that makes Him who He is.
Jesus hung on the cross and the last thing He says is "It is finished", Have you ever meditated on what that means to you as His child? What exactly did He mean was finished? This episode highlights a number of those things that Christians still find themselves bound by. It reminds us of our identity as children of the free woman and not the slave woman. I pray we all wake up to our freedom in Christ, not to live life haphazardly, but to walk in the identity and liberty that Jesus availed to us when He declared 'IT IS FINISHED'!
Might be impossible to get a candle to its exact shape after it has been melted, might be impossible for a person to have the exact normal functioning of a body part after a surgery, but does this theory apply to relationships when we have fall outs and misunderstandings? We will find that in our journey through life we'll encounter misunderstandings here and there with the people we love, whether parents, mentors, friends or partners. In all, it is important to know that we can heal from those misunderstandings and issues and get things 'back to normal', and even if it doesn't go back to normal, we can carve out new working relationships that keeps everyone in purity and at peace, this episode talks about the how.
We live in a time where teens and 20-something-year-olds are left feeling like failures because they have not figured out what they want to do with their lives. Social media has robbed so many of the joy of the journey that people are often to fixated on a destination. In this episode we talk about the things we should be considering critically while making decisions for our lives while also paying attention to the things that really matter and not the urgent but unimportant things fighting for our attention daily. This is for everyone currently navigating the journey of life and wondering "Am I even on track?"
In this episode we discuss 10 reasons why relationships fail and use reverse psychology to identify 10 reasons why relationships will win. God is the best teacher of Love because a person will tell you best about themselves. We have no business learning the love of this world or the standards of the love of this world, numerous examples around to prove that it is not sustainable. Hope this episode gives you a deep idea of what Gods love looks like and what we should be looking to mirror even in our earthly courtship and marriage relationships.
There are so many motivations for wanting to go to heaven, some peoples only motivation is the thought of how scary hell will be, so heaven just seems like the better option. How pure and sustainable is this motive? This episode is a conversation around our motivations for wanting to be in heaven as well as what we should be doing here while on earth before Jesus returns to take us home. The bible says that we are "raised up with Him and seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus". This is already the reality for the believer, however, what is our honest pursuit of God about? it is just about heaven?
People face trauma in various degrees daily, unfortunately the fallen world we live in means that we don't have full control over all that goes on in this earthly realm, so when events happen that leave us or people around us traumatised, it is important that we are responding to them in a way that communicates love and support best. This episode details the 4 responses to trauma and also helps us navigate our way through each to have healthier relationships. It is important to also note that while science offers us this knowledge, the greatest healer and helper through trauma is God and so we must always remember to cast all of our cares and burdens on Him.
We are in such a digital age, everything happens online, from business, to education, to voting and even something as personal and intimate as dating and courting. Have we ever stopped to ask ourselves what God might think? I have actually and I have highlighted all I have been convicted about in this podcast episode and I hope you are able to see it fully.
