Knowing when to let go can be hard. There are people who throw the word “LOVE” around, when control is what they crave. Loving someone more than you love yourself at times can cost you everything, especially if it’s the wrong person. Loving someone who constantly hurts you mentally, physically, and emotionally- breaks you. Just because you’re used to pain, it doesn’t mean you have to keep going back to someone who hurts you, just to bring yourself out of it. It’s like resuscitating someone who keeps flat lining- it’s their time to go. You want the doctor’s to keep bringing them back because you aren’t ready for them to go. All of that pressure will eventually break the bones in their chest, causing them more pain than just fading away. That pain from the broken bones are not from you giving up, those broken bones are in your chest. YOU’RE HURTING YOURSELF! PEOPLE CAN’T HURT YOU NO MORE THAN YOU ALLOW THEM TO. Just because you’re used to pain, it doesn’t mean you have to keep bestowing that on yourself.
