As of 2021, the population of Los Angeles was estimated to be around 10.3 million people. It is the most populous County in the United States.
According to the California Department of Motor Vehicles, there were approximately 8 million registered vehicles in Los Angeles County as of 2021. This includes all types of vehicles, such as cars, trucks, motorcycles, and buses. This is basically 2 vehicles for each person who lives in LA.
And as you can imagine with this many cars in one County, the traffic is going to be out of control.
In this episode we will be taking a look at what causes this traffic nightmare in LA County and a couple of potential solutions that have been suggested.

Since the global * ended, we have seen global air travel return to the pre-* levels. However, one major factor that was made apparent when things returned to normal is the shortage of airline pilots worldwide.
It is difficult to determine exactly how many pilots there are in the world because the number is constantly changing as people enter and leave the profession. However, it is estimated that there are hundreds of thousands of pilots worldwide. The exact number depends on the type of aircraft they fly and the region in which they work.

In this episode we will be looking at the significance of the Twitter share purchase by Elon Musk, making him the largest shareholder at the social media platform.
NASA has said it will allow SpaceX to take its astronauts into orbit on reused spaceships - something the US space agency had not previously permitted.
This could be a big step for SpaceX, given that reusability is one of the key steps behind the firm’s mission to bring down the eye-watering costs of space travel.
The news follows a modification to NASA’s $2.7 billion commercial crew contract that it made with SpaceX back in 2014.
We have recently seen NASA take huge strides towards fulfilling their goals as a space agency that is acting on behalf of the world's largest economy.

SpaceX is now inviting users to join its satellite-powered Starlink internet ahead of a public beta.
Starlink is the current name for this plan, trademarked by SpaceX in late August 2017. The entire project could be up and running by 2024, if the current timeline holds.
SpaceX filed two trademarks on the same day in August 2017, revealing more information about the Internet plans.
The Elon Musk owned aerospace company is now letting people who are interested in the service sign up to, in the company's words, 'get updates on Starlink news and service availability in your area.'
By filling out an email form with a zip code, prospective customers will get notifications on when or if they're able to join the Starlink service once it's opened up.
A statement from Starlink read:
'If you provided us with your zip code, you will be notified via email if beta testing opportunities become available in your area,' reads a message sent to users who sign up.
'In the meantime, we will continue to share with you updates about general service availability and upcoming Starlink launches.'
The beta is expected to open up in later this summer of 2020 or in early fall and will have about 800 satellites in all.
